Archduke private rooms

Very comfortable, plenty of space, good air-conditioning. Owner and family were very friendly and welcoming. Big breakfast to set you up for your day ahead in Marrakech. Nice restaurants are just a few minutes walk for evening meals. Few local shops nearby for water, snacks, etc, and markets for other shopping.

Bit difficult to find at first, Google maps gets a bit lost in the alleys, but the locals were very helpful to give directions.

La habitación tiene muchísima humedad, hace mucho más calor dentro que fuera de la habitación y el aire acondicionado no funciona. No sé si el resto de habitaciones serán igual, pero la que nos tocó un verdadero horror.

L'emplacement était parfait ! Au cœur de la medina. Le petit-déjeuner était super bon et gourmand.

-رياض يحتاج الى صيانة من طرف مالكيه.فبعض الغرف مكيفاتها لا تشتغل.كذلك بالنسبة لباب الحمام لا يغلق. ضروري من صيانته. - لايمكن للطاكسي أن يوصل إليه لأنه داخل المدينة القديمة.إن كانت لكم أمتعة يمكن الاستعانة بعربة يثمن رمزي لحملها.

zona muy tranquila pero estar tan cerca de la medina, tanto el abitacion y el baño muy limpio y el desayuno está muy bien...la verdad que la relación calidad precio óptima, sin lujos para mi necesidad superfluo, cumple con lo que está buscando por una estancia corta y el aire acondicionado con el calor de estos días perfecto

everything was good within the acimmodation itself but we had to pay 20 euro to a random guide leas us to the hotel and also we payed 20 euro for "city tax" which was supposed to be just 10 in booking

everything was great, the best was having a private terrace, which was much appreciated it. the breakfast was also amazing and was brought to us to our terrace (last floor). staff very friendly, it is a bit difficult to find, which we were aware of. However. we arrived late at night and got lost, when I called the hotel the staff came to get us :)

nothing. Maybe only to mention beforehand that the bathroom was not in the room. But everything was great, highly recommend, it has an amazing location (close to the suq), you probably cant find a better one. Helpful staff :)

I loved this place. The bed was cozy and the location unbeatable. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our 18 days roadtrip - so that‘s something! We would definitely come back!

The only thing is - like we had in other rooms at the coast as well - some mold at the wall. The humidity is higher in Marrakesch and at the coast so it happens faster but it would be nice to fix this. Everything else was 100%!

Excellent location, walking distance to the souks, cafes and restaurants but tucked away from the chaos of the medina. The room is tidy and cosy with warm blankets provided for the cooler evenings. There is also a small rooftop terrace where you can soak in the sunshine or watch the sunset. The highlight for me was Hannan and Loubna, the chefs and housekeepers. They are incredibly kind, and hardworking. They served us a very generous and tasty breakfast each morning, and even did some laundry for us (much appreciated after travelling with backpacks for awhile). They even went to the effort of soaking/bleaching our white clothing seperately so they came back like new! Note, they don't charge for the laundry service so make sure you tip them for the effort. Overall, a pleasant great value stay in Marrakech.

The room is not the most sound-proof, and we would get awoken by the nearby call-to-prayer.

Walid is incredible!

We love our stay in Archduke private rooms. The breakfast is so good. Thanks to ate loubna for preparing our food and for assisting our laundry. The check in and out is easy and Walid is very accommodating in any queries. I highly recommend staying in Archduke. We have a good rest away from the busy streets of Marrakech.

Just not easy to navigate at first but once you've known the way to the villa it is easy. Sometimes it is dark in the alley but otherwise it is safe.

I had such a wonderful stay at Ardchduke Private Rooms at the end of February. From the moment I arrived, I was genuinely impressed by the staff — they are some of the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve met in Morocco. They took such great care of me throughout my stay and truly made me feel at home, which made all the difference. I stayed in the top-floor room with a private terrace, and it was absolutely beautiful. Having that space to myself was such a treat — I especially loved spending my mornings and evenings there, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was included and was always fresh and delicious — something I really looked forward to each day. The location is also fantastic: only about a 15-minute walk to the main square and very close to the souks, which made exploring super convenient. At first, it was a little tricky to find because it’s tucked away in a maze of small alleys, but once you get used to it, it actually becomes very easy to navigate. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting. Special thanks to Walid, Lounbna, and Hannan for their kindness and for making my stay so memorable.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral und man ist zu Fuß in 10 Minuten in den Soaks. Insgesamt ist das Zimmer sauber gehalten und nett eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Die Klimaanlage war kaputt obwohl versichert wurde, dass sie funktioniert. Das Riad ist sehr schwer zu finden. Am besten Einheimische fragen wo es lang geht.

Posizione comoda per girare il centro a piedi, anche se non è facilissimo da trovare in quanto nascosto tra i vicoli. La signora della colazione molto gentile.

La stanza era abbastanza sporca, tanto da sporcare di polvere qualsiasi cosa si lasciava scoperta. Inoltre ho trovato abbastanza scomodo il servizio della colazione che è disponibile solo dalle 08:30, se sarete a Marrakech sicuramente farete molte escursioni e quasi tutte iniziano alle 8 o prima, quindi non potrete sfruttare la colazione inclusa.

Ho trovato scomodo il non poter fare colazione prima delle 8.30. Avevamo prenotato diverse gite giornaliere nei dintorni di Marrakech e dovendo partire alle 8.00 ci siamo incamminarci a digiuno 3 mattine su 5, nonostante le colazioni fossero comprese nel prezzo della struttura

How difficult it was to fund the place and how often I needed to call that Riad guy and how little support I've gotten.

古き良きリヤドといった感じで、自分はとても好きだった。他のホテルやドミトリーと違い、部屋の数が限られているため静かであるとともにホスピタリティが十分に行き届いていた。Whatsappで朝食の時間の指定や細かな質問も常に対応してくれたため、困ることが無かった。 また、朝食はミントティーをはじめオーガニック由来でとても美味しかった。バックパック旅行としてマラケシュを訪れたので、洗濯した衣類を屋上のテラスで干せたのもとても助かりました。自分は最初の数日をドミトリーで過ごし、その後砂漠ツアーから帰って数日をこのリヤドで過ごしました。マラケシュの空気感を満喫できるバックパッカーにおすすめのリヤドです

強いて言うならば、ロケーションが少し分かりづらいところに位置していること。迷路のように入り組んでいる細道を進まなければならないので初めて訪れる際は注意が必要だと感じた。Google Mapsには入口のドアに行くまでの動画が添付されているので、それに従っていけば問題無いと思う。迷ってそうな観光客に声をかけて案内してくれる人もいましたが、自分は最終的にチップを要求されました。人によっては親切心で無料で案内してくれる人もいるそうです。どちらにせよ辿り着く手段はあるので、安心して大丈夫です

The riad looked good and the bed is comfortable

There are a lot of lacking facilities in comparison to what is posted on the room details: there is no heating system, no iron, no hair dryer, no soap, only two small bottles of shower gel, two towels for the whole stay of 4 days. So, be ready to get a different experience from what you expect based on what is posted on booking. The room is small, it is very cold especially at night as the AC doesn’t produce enough heat to increase the temperature. At night you can hear the noise from the neighbors and the owners, and the area is not really safe. The shower has no curtain, so it’s very likely that the bathroom will be soaked and slippery. There are no options for breakfast, you only get what is available.

Nice staff and beautiful Riad. The room was heated, and the shower was hot. The staff were nice and the breakfast each morning was lovely. Great location right in the Medina.

Two days after leaving, the host rudely tried to ask me for the city tax again, even though I'd paid it upon arrival. Fortunately, the issue was resolved, but it was odd; it's better to ask for a receipt.

A lovely, cosy place. Superb location, spotless, confortable and amazing breakfast. The owner, Walid, is a fantástic person who could not have done anymore for us. He welcomed us with.open arms and we arrived as. guests but left as great.friends. Also, the lady who works there (Lubi maybe), cooked us a wonderful breakfast every morning served on our spacious terrace. Marrakech was beautiful but it was made all the more special for our accomodation and the people who run it. Will undoubtedly stay there again. Highly reccomended!!!

Instappen onmogelijk, alleen in kruipen vanaf het voeteinde Marokkaans : heel moeilijk contact Uitbater slechts telefonisch te bereiken. 's nachts (22-23 u) soort luidruchtige ontvangst in de patio. Af en toe (22-23u) opgebeld. Later bleek het om de touristen tax te gaan betalen. Locatie: op 20minuten van de jama. Op en af bijna 1 uur wandelen. Prijs leek goed maar in vergelijking met correcte kamers heel duur

Chambre très petite non conforme aux photos, tapisserie en fausse pierre qui décolle des murs. Salle de bain pas très propre. Difficile à trouver au fond d'une ruelle. Très cher pour le rapport qualité-prix.

The room was very nice and we had access to a terrace for ourselves and a private bathroom. The bed was very comfy, the bathroom very clean and the terrace was lovely. The breakfast is very nice (but you have to wait a bit for it, since the prepare it when you get up) The staff very nice!

It is a bit difficult to get there, we were helped by neighbours, since the streets are narrow and the location on Google maps not precise. If you’re a fearful person… the neighbourhood is a bit dark in the night. But it is safe, a guy tried to scam us one night, just that

Ci è stata data la camera all'ultimo piano con bagno nel coorridoio e terrazzina privata. In pratica tutto il piano era a nostro uso esclusivo.

Per 2 delle 4 notti siamo dovuti partire prima dell'orario della colazione. In altri riad ci hanno preparato un sacchettino con 2 pezzi dolci e 2 succhi, ma qui non è stato possibile, nemmeno dopo averlo suggerito. Peccato sarebbe stata una gentilezza in più che comunque avevamo pagato.

Wallid ci ha aiutati diverse volte a trovare la strada della struttura che era un po' difficile (per noi) da trovare , ci ha aiutati a stampare i biglietti dell' aereo ed è molto disponibile. Grazie mille ancora ! :)

Rijád byl 20 minut od centra ukrytý v uličkách, a tak jsme měli v noci klid na spánek. Hostitelé byli velmi milí a pohostinní. Ubytování bylo krásné a pohodlné. Snídaně byla bohatá a výborná.

Na pokoji jsme měli pouze jednu skleničku, ale to nebyl žádný velký problém. Manželská postel pro dva větší lidi je trochu úzká.

Muy contentos con nuestra estancia.El personal muy amable. Desde antes de nuestra llegada siempre respondieron nuestras dudas y nos ayudaron en todo.El desayuno era muy bueno,incluso se adaptó a nuestras peticiones.La terraza es un plus para las noches de calor.La ubicación está bastante bien teniendo en cuenta lo que es la ciudad.Del RIAD a la entrada al zoco son 5 minutos y a la plaza central alrededor de 12 minutos.En general calidad - precio muy contentos.

Todo estuvo muy bien, quizás los alrededores del riad eran un poco un poco caos ,pero no supuso ningún problemas.Enseguida te das cuenta de que marrakech es así,pero no hay ningún peligro

Personale gentile e accurato, colazione abbondante sia salata che dolce, servita da loro come in tutti i Riad. Stanza con bagno distaccato da un pianerottolo ma dedicato interamente all'ospite, con terrazzo annesso e colazione servita in terrazza!!

Scomoda come punto nella medina e molto nascosta, quindi con le valige è poco pratica, almeno per un pezzetto. Non esistono ascensori nei Riad quindi bisogna mettere in conto di fare le scale con tutto. Ma per il resto è tutto fattibile!!

This was our first visit to Morocco and we had an amazing time. Everyone at the Archduke went out of their way to make our arrival and stay easy, comfortable and welcoming. We were looked after wonderfully and really felt at home. Amazing breakfasts, comfortable beds, and clean rooms in this beautiful Riad. Everything that you need and lots of places of interest in walking distance, but the Riad is quiet and peaceful. When we visit Marrakech again We will stay at the Archduke Private Rooms again.

We have no complaints, everything and everyone wonderful 😊

もしあれば助かります！なのが、宿への矢印看板や案内です。絶対に1人ではこのリヤドを見つけることができません。Googleマップも正確に表示されないので、地域の人に聞くと連れて行く代わりに○€だと言われてしまいます。。そうすると気持ちが萎えてしまいます。（もちろん親切に案内してくださる方もいました） 迷路のようでとても楽しくこれぞマラケシュ！という場所に存在します！

Reservé una habitación y parecía todo bien hasta que empezaron a aparecer cucarachas por todas partes. No estuve alojado más de una noche, ya que no se podía en esas condiciones

Little hard to reach here but it was a lot of fun to remember the way.

Nice staff. Comfy bed. Cute courtyard and roof terrace. Nice breakfast. Not far from souks and main square. Hidden away down several alleyways, away from the crazy hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, so nice and quiet of a night. Most of it clean.

The "boasted bath" was a joke. Mouldy groat, where grout existed. No plug. No taps, just a shower head on a mixer tap. I would describe it as a tiled shower tray. 1 foot high at the most. It's definitely not something you could soak in. I was really disappointed with this as I specifically selected bath as a search filter and had taken my bath salts hoping for a nice soak. There is no way I would sit down in it! The drainage was poor, hence the black mould around the tiles. Check out was up to 12pm but we were asked at 10am when we were leaving, so we felt a bit rushed and therefore packed our bags and departed quickly.

We had a wonderful stay at Archduke Private Rooms! The location is very central, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The riad is beautifully decorated with authentic Moroccan style, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The local breakfast was delicious, and the service from the staff was excellent. Walid, in particular, was incredibly helpful—he waited for us after midnight for check-in and also supported us in finding a solution for an extra night when our plans changed.

One small downside is that Google Maps doesn’t show the location accurately, but Apple Maps worked better for us. That said, Walid will make sure to find you and guide you in if needed, so don’t worry too much about it.

Great value room in lovely, spacious riad. Walid, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The riad was close to numerous restaurants and shops.

Walid was friendly, breakfast was good and  he did try to help but clearly has been put in charge while someone else was away and had not been left any instructions.

They failed to arrange anyone to pick us up from the airport as .we arranged - so we had to pay a large amount to get there. There was no private bathroom as had been promised (and confirmed before arriving). There were to toiletries, adapter, water or almost any of the other thingss they claim you will get. Despite complaining during the visit on bookings.com there has been no reply and no apology. I will therefore be recommending that this place is removed from bookings.com.

The riad was clean and essential, apart from the chaos of the Médina. Zacharia and Walid are very nice people.

The first time you'll get there you'll be lost for sure but Zacharia will kindly pick you up in front of a restaurant, which is an easy meeting point. This hasn't happened in my case because none of the responsible staff were available at the time I arrived. I literally arrived at the door of the riad just to see that nobody was in there and went back because I thought I was in the wrong place. I specify I wrote them on Booking, telling them the time I was gonna be there. They tried to contact me on WhatsApp the day before, but without specifying any details (such as "I'm responsible for the Archduke ryad) and I naively thought it was a scam and blocked the contact. Breakfast starts 8:30, which is a bit late (many guided visits start early), so the chance you'll miss it is very high. I stayed just one night, had the flight the day after and booked a taxi pretty early. They told me they were gonna see what they could do. I didn't receive any news so I contacted them again in the evening to ask. They told me it wasn't possible to have breakfast earlier and blamed "the lady" for the late answer, so that's why they didn't let me know sooner. 🙄 I'm sure people had a better experience, in my case I think with a little more effort things would have been a lot better, especially reading the many nice reviews they have on here.

Pretty hard to find the apartment by yourself but they will help you to get there. There is a mosque very close which will wake you up every morning around 6am for 5 mins, but it's a pretty common thing in Morocco.

Zac was a great host. He helped finding the riad and with the sim card. I fully recommend it!!

We recently stayed at this beautiful riad tucked deep within the old medina of Marrakech, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. Surrounded by where locals live and go about their daily lives, it offered a genuinely authentic Moroccan experience. Despite its central location, the riad was surprisingly quiet — a peaceful retreat from the buzz of the city outside. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and full of character, exactly what we were hoping for. But what truly made our stay exceptional was Zacaria, the hotel manager. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of — from local tips to just being a warm, kind presence throughout our stay. If you're looking for a real, immersive Moroccan experience in Marrakech, I would absolutely recommend this riad.

A little bit humid in the room.

We had an amazing time in Marrakesh thanks to the Host of this Riad, who is very friendly and helpful. He will help you get to the Riad and tell you everything you would want to know about the city. The typical Moroccan breakfast is so delicious and keeps you full for a really long time. Our room was spacious and clean, so was the bathroom. Although the Riad is located in a rather calm area of the Medina, which helps you rest after the whole day, it’s within a walking distance to the souks and the main square. We loved spending time on the terrace. If one day I come back to Marrakesh, I’m coming back right here. Highly recommend!

We arrived very early after an overnight flight. Our host Zach had us picked up at the airport. and then greeted us and helped wheel the luggage through the narrow alleys of the medina to the little hotel. And though our room wasn't yet available, he treated it us to breakfast. Over and beyond expectations!

Our mornings in the garden were on the cool side, but not unusual for February.

From the first moment we met the host we were made feeling comfortable and welcome, then gradually it became like home, somewhere you look forward to returning after long day out, it was our oasis in the middle of madness of chaos called Marrakech😄. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, every detail taken care of. We felt free and welcome to come back any time, use the kitchen and the facilities whenever we felt need for. We were impressed how Zak went above and beyond to make us feel happy in a strange place, even sharing his food and amazing smoothie with us (don't expect that, I was poorly so had an excuse 😅). Theview from the terrace, in the courtyard, the singing birds in the morning and wonderful evening with sun into our balcony were so cool. We not only had a good host but obtained a friend for life. Thank you, Zak, from the bottom of our heart, Marrakech wouldn't be the same without our beautiful riad and host ❤️🙏
