Stunning studio. The bed was super comfortable with an amazing TV and the kitchen had everything. We loved the alpacas and sheep outside. the location was great with pretty much everything nearby. The hosts were so nice and helpful with everything. It was so good we decided to extend our stay by a day. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed the stay. Everything was organised perfectly and the Apartment found in best conditions. We appreciated the fresh fruits and beverages provided.

Das Studio von Sue und Ron ist eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die Wert auf Qualität, Gastfreundschaft und Liebe zum Detail legen. Schon beim Ankommen fühlt man sich willkommen – die Atmosphäre ist warm, persönlich und zugleich professionell organisiert. Das Studio ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und durchdacht ausgestattet. Alles wirkt gepflegt und hochwertig, ohne überladen zu sein. Die Lage ist etwa 10 Minuten außerhalb von der Stadt New Plymouth, eine sehr ruhige und private Lage. Perfekt um nach den Wanderungen beim Mount Taranaki entspannen zu können. Ebenfalls gibt es eine Outdoor-Badewanne und einen Griller auf der eigenen kleinen Terrasse. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch das Frühstück: reichhaltig, frisch und vor allem mehr als ausreichend. Sue hat auch vorab unsere Vorlieben zu Milch und Joghurt gefragt - sehr aufmerksam! Sue und Ron sind aufmerksame, freundliche Gastgeber, die präsent sind, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Insgesamt ein rundum stimmiges Erlebnis – ein Ort, an den man gerne zurückkehrt und den man mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen kann.

Very clean and comfortable place, quiet location

Sue & Ron have thought of everything to make an accommodation accomodating. The bed was perfect, the kitchenette offered the essentials, the internet was strong, Sue is very organised - everything was thought of in the information folder provided. I missed the opportunity to meet Ella, but will do next time.

Staying at Escape was a delightful experience. The location was ideal, evoking a sense of home with its close contact with nature. Waking up to the sounds of birds was refreshing. The accommodation was cozy and clean, offering plenty of luxury and comfort. Our host was always available to address any questions we had. I highly recommend it!

The property was amazing. Very private and beautifully decorated inside. It wasn’t a standard hotel vibe it had personality and style. The property includes great features such as the outdoor bath and the hosts have included everything you could possibly need as if you were at home. As a professional house cleaner I can say it was cleaned before arrival to a high standard. Lovely stay, lovely hosts.

Friendly and accommodating hosts. Great base for visiting the Centuria Garden Festival. Quiet rural setting with sheltered outdoor area with sun umbrella. It was well-equipped with everything you needed.

Perfectly located to access New Plymouth CBD or the Mt Taranaki National Park. Escape was clean, comfortable and had everything required for our stay. Sue and Ron were great hosts and you can see that they've put a lot of effort into ensuring that Escape had all the little extra touches that a lot of places don't have. Comfy bed and pillows, well appointed kitchenette, air conditioning/heating, high-speed unlimited internet, Netflix and Smart Tv, Webber Q BBQ and even an outdoor tub (very private)! My wife and I have stayed at a few places in New Zealand and Escape ranks very high on our list. It's a perfect place to get away from the city for a few days of R&R in Taranaki.

Great if you are traveling alone or as a couple like we did. Otherwise, probably best to avoid as the room and ensuite bathroom will be a little small for families to manage. Nothing else really comes to mind. It's as close to perfect as you can get for a B&B style accommodation option.

Escape is a fantastic b&b, a lot of care and thought has clearly gone into the design and layout of the property. Very comfortable bed, huge clean hot shower, an outdoor bath that runs very hot to do some stargazing at night. Fantastic set up and zero complaints!

I love the peace and privacy, surrounded by nature. I love the outside bath, comfy bed, decor, overall cleanliness and attention to detail. It’s got everything we needed. Great communication by hosts.

Tastefully presented (bed linen, furnishings). Outside area with seating was private. Bowl of fruit provided. Air conditioning. Sue is a pleasant host.

Situated beside the home owners garage, some noise of owners washing machine and their cars coming and going though not frequent was audible inside the B&B, which is a one room studio attached, and at the back of the main house.

This was our first time using a bed and breakfast, it was a wonderful peaceful location so close to town but in the country easy to hop in and out and do your activities. We loved the touches of luxury from the carpet to the chattels, everything was thoughtfully furnished, we loved the baby Weber bbq so we could dine in and relax after a big day at the beach, Highly recommend.

Nice quiet spot, not too far from town. Loved the outdoor bath after a round of golf.

Very quiet and comfortable

Escape is a lovely and quiet place to stay and well named. The unit was immaculate and very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly, accommodating and provided excellent local tips. Highly recommended.

The property was beautifully finished and spotlessly clean, it felt very luxurious. The owners had paid attention to detail with lots of special touches.

It was perfection. Would have loved to stay longer. Great communication, very clean and comfortable. We loved the bathtub/shower outside (there's another shower inside), the stunning night skies, the whole "welcome package". We highly recommend this place.

Many thoughtful touches such as sensor night lights, fruit bowl, quality cushions and pillows, bubbles etc. Very well presented. A delightful country stay only a few minutes away from the city. Really enjoyed the outside bath. Definitely recommend

The hosts have created a retreat which tempts all of your senses. Top quality bed linen, fresh flowers, a harmonious decor and courtyard plus tempting sweet treats. Everything is well maintained and extremely clean.

Absolutely loved our stay at Escape. Very clean and quiet, in a semi-rural location. Friendly hosts and a lovely hot tub outside, as well as other extra touches that make it special. Highly recommended.

Probably our favourite accommodation in the whole of NZ! The perfect place to spend a few days in Taranaki; comfy, cozy, everything has a touch of luxury, SO CLEAN, friendly hosts. Would recommend to anyone staying in this area.

Great location just 10 minutes from town. Place was spotless clean and had everything you needed. Ron and Sue are lovely. There was fresh fruit, milk, juice and butter put out for us. The outdoor bath was great, very comfortable. Cleanest and most thought out place that we've stayed in, would 100% recommend.

A beautiful self-contained flat with everything you hoped for a leisure and relaxed holiday away from the central area of town but yet not too far away. It was set on a life style 2.5 acres block with added bonus of an outdoor spa bath which is nice to have a soak in after a full day out ! Hosts Ron and Sue are very nice and helpful in providing good advice on local information . I will definitely recommend it anyone !

The location suited us perfectly, as it was rural and very quiet. We travelled by car, so it didnt matter that it was out of town. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would recommend this stay to anyone. We will certainly stay again next time we are in New Plymouth. Everything was clean and welcoming. Can't think of anything that could have been better

Loved the quietness of the location and the room was just lovely. Had a visit from the resident cat in the evening who was most accommodating in letting us give him pats. Enjoyed the outside bath which was relaxing looking up at stars from and we were so close to town without even realising it.

Fantastic place, well furnished, clean, tidy, tasteful. Beautiful lifestyle block setting. We intend to be back. Excellent communication from Sue.

A modern, spacious, beautifully decorated self contained unit. Attention to detail meant everything was provided to ensure a very comfortable stay. The rural location and fabulously planted landscaping, made for a very relaxing time, while still being within an easy distance from New Plymouth.

There was nothing not to like from the pretty rural countryside surrounding the property, to the tastefully appointed and luxurious apartment, right down to the goosedown pillows, the linen bedcover and pillowcases, and the feather and down cushions on the velvet settee. The apartment was very well equipped, everything was provided to make for a seamless and very enjoyable stay. Even the very private outside bath surrounded by its own pretty garden was a luxurious treat!

I have no comment to make here. Everything was great!

Fantastic outdoor bath to soak in and enjoy the stars

Was the most beautiful location, loved seeing the Arapawa sheep greeting us on the way in, the room was gorgeous and loved the outdoor bath, so serene and quiet. So impressed by what was provided, just above and beyond in every little detail, fresh fruit, milk, chocolates, even oil and salt and pepper! Ron and Sue are so welcoming and kind. Just an incredible place to unwind.

I have only one thing that could be improved, the curtains let the light in very early and being on holiday a sleep in would have been nice. Otherwise it was perfect!

The level of detail put into the room, from a real beautiful scented flower in the bathroom to the ferrero roches and fresh fruit, to the spotlessly clean EVERYTHING, this place was best place I’ve stayed .

The hosts were super lovely and welcoming. They had thought of everything but it was the extra special touches that made this a stand out visit like the well stocked fridge and fresh fruit. The outside bath was a real pleasure and a great way to unwind, very private. Oh, the mattress, two of the best night's sleep, sooo comfortable.

Beautiful space to stay and the outside bath was such a special touch. Hidden in the county but only a short drive to the tsb convention center and the cbd. Very quiet and clean. We also added breakfast and was so impressed by everything that was put together for us. Thank you both for such a lovely stay. Will definitely be back next time we are in New Plymouth!

All the little personal touches. The towels on a heated radiator , the little dairy milk chocolates , the milk in the fridge, the friendly welcome when we arrived!

The location is quiet in the countryside. The hosts were excellent . The unit was perfect and the fresh fruit was also appreciated. Although we did not get to use the hot tub, this time, we will besure to return and use it next time.
