The room was cozy and very well-equipped with a nice private bathroom, bed was very comfortable, had a large TV. Communal kitchen had everything you need.

The location was a bit off-site and hard to navigate, but with a car it was not a major issue.

Clean and spacious.

Nice quiet clean room. Everything I needed for just a night. I didn’t use the communal kitchen, but it looked well equipped. As I arrived around 11pm it was good to be able to self check in, only minor problem was being the last in the car park, it was tight parking my large rental. Would definitely stay again here again next time I’m in New Plymouth.

Exceptionally clean and well appointed. A lovely location with picturesque stream. Owners emphasised to ring them if we needed anything - we didn’t need to. Excellent value for money at a weekend when a lot of New Plymouth was booked out.

Clean and tidy, with a kitchen and a full range of kitchen utensils provided. The biggest surprise was the dishwasher, which was very convenient. The dining area and table were also quite large, and the outside of the hotel was very beautiful as well.

It would be even better if more seasonings were provided, as I only found a small bottle of salt and white pepper.

Although the rooms are spacious, clean and very well-equipped, the rates are very reasonable, and I found it to be an excellent place to stay.

As it’s tucked away quite a bit, you might find it a little tricky to locate.

we loved this place. sure it looks nice in the pictures but the pictures really don’t do this BnB justice, it’s so much prettier in real life. We got the door code sent to us the morning of our arrival and could check in by ourselves which was very convenient. the location the house is in is gorgeous, it’s up on a little hill with only one house next to it so it’s very quiet, and there‘s a little river right behind the house. there‘s a patio to sit outside, a well equipped kitchen for guests, and even a washing machine you can use for a couple bucks. the double room we were in was larger than it looked in the pictures, very clean and felt nice and bright with a lot of windows. bathroom fully stocked and squeaky clean too. Even though the place is beautiful my favourite part is that there was a heating pad on the (already very comfortable) bed, which just about made my night because it was so cozy. also each side of the bed had two different types of pillow so you can pick what you prefer.

The beds were very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi connection was excellent. The kitchen was very well-equipped, and check-in was quick and easy. The location is perfect for Taranaki track.The price is very reasonable for the quality of the stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the hot shower was perfect. 10/10

A beautifully located and very clean B&B with a large garden and a very well-equipped communal area. Check-in and check-out were completely anonymous and worked very well. I would gladly return anytime.

Duvet smells like someone's feet, No choices for lighter duvet as not everyone likes air-conditioning, duvet is for winter and too hot, Room is too small to be able to fit bedside tables and sometimes it is a bit hard to get around for 2 people, Not enough bench top space in ensuit to be able to put more things which are away from water to avoid from getting wet, No coasters for hot cups provided and no placemats for wooden dinning table No net curtains or roller blind as sun filter, also to keep privacy during daytime is better and more comfortable.

Pretty river but it didn’t look easy to get down to. Good ensuites. Just the bedding really plus it’s a bit tricky to go back out to get something to eat once you’re there. Perhaps best to make use of the very nice kitchen facilities.

The 4 rooms were full on a Tuesday night so I think they can afford new pillows and Duvets. The duvet was the thickest, hottest, most polyester thing known to man and there was no alternative so you either boiled or froze. The pillows were either ancient and lumpy or hard. The outside looked very intended with long grass and old pots lying around. The security guard (?) came at 6am with his car stereo absolutely pumping. But the traffic noise and the duvet hadn’t allowed any sleep anyway so not to worry.

TV only 1 channel as per previous feed back and water tasted mouldy(earthy) glad for bottle water in fridge.

Facilities were fabulous. Couldn't get the TV to work, though it wasn't a big deal. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful.

Lawns needed mowing, guessing it's owners don't live there.

Perfect place. Really relaxing spot and not far from the highlights of the area

Great place, you are so close to nature that it makes it extra special. I guess you need to be lucky about who the other guests are (in terms of noise and clean kitchen). - you can see they put effort on having it very clean

- down side: room is a bit cramped up + noise fridge next to your bed

The setting is absolutely gorgeous. We regretted that we only booked one night.

Great hosts and facilities

Would recommend this place to anyone staying in New Plymouth. Host was super responsive and had great local tips. Our room was perfectly clean with own bathroom. The shared kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything you need. The house itself is located only a couple minutes out of town in a super quiet and lovely area right next to a river. Loved this BnB and would stay there again anytime!!

The Location is in a secluded valley with a stream running through which adds a peaceful surrounding after a day of busy meetings with many people. The socializing is just great, but to come to a peaceful quiet evening to your own thoughts and a read was very pleasant. We used the walking biking tracks when the weather permitted for our commute into town. (and the Coronation drive if it was wet/raining) (We brought our bikes for this purpose)

1./ The lighting for the main room was adequate, but the reading lights were a bit flimsy. 2./ There could be a bedside cabinet included. (one side with fridge) other with cabinet would have helped. Comment: If you were here for only a night, these comments may not apply so much as you would only drag in a bag for the night and gone the next day.

Najbardziej komfortowy pobyt jaki pamiętam. Łatwe zameldowanie, pokój mały ale idealnie przemyślany i dostosowany do krótkiego pobytu. Podgrzewany materac był wisienką na torcie. Poza tym świetna lokalizacja, 15 minut od początku szlaku na Taranaki Tarns.

It must have been a mistake, but we were only supplied with 1 bath towel for the 2 of us. The place smelt strongly of cleaning materials. Mattress very firm, & room too hot, so didn't sleep very well.

It was a perfect place is you’re looking for calm , tidy, and want to spend slower days to relax. The best escapade for a Birthday trip indeed.

Room was clean

1. Location - not straightforward. I first bumped into a private house. There were no sign boards to direct anyone to the property. Also when u finally reach the property (on guess work) you are still trying to figure out whether you bumped into another private house as there are no welcoming sign boards on the building. 2. Door unlocking codes were sent to me in time but it was unclear and not easy to use them on actual keypads. 3. Room was stuffy, tight one. You have barely any space even to move!! Table for making tea/coffee was a unstable, tiny one. Heat pump kept turning off 4. Rooms are located both sides of narrow corridor just like in an old school hostel 5. Overall NEVER felt I was in 'heaven'
