Breakfast was excellent
The weather🤪
Our stay was wonderful. Jean and Milt made us feel so welcome with their amazing Newfoundland hospitality, and Jean’s breakfasts were genuinely the best meals we had during our entire week in Newfoundland, breakfast or otherwise! The B&B is in a great location.
Honestly, nothing! We only wish we could have stayed longer. The weather didn’t quite cooperate with us, but obviously Jean and Milt can’t control that 😂 Just means we’ll have to come back one day!
We had 2 rooms in the main house and shared a bathroom. The rest of the family had a cabin and they shared one bathroom as well. All was very clean and nicely decorated. Jean, the host, went beyond her duties to make our stay wonderful. We wanted to experience a lobster boil and when I asked if she new who could cook this for us, she offered herself. It was a lovely and abundant meal for 11 people! She made our stay unforgettable.
Breakfast was always good: Hot coffee, juice , fruit, yogurt, toast, etc. Table setting was nice. The room and washroom were clean, although quite small. A shelf over the toilet or towel bar would help since the pedestal sink left little space for toiletries.
Kitchen needed cleaning. Compost and garbage containers visibly dirty, fridge handle unclean. Windows need washing.

Wonderful and knowledgeable host. Jean was always willing to offer advice on where to go and what to do, when asked. We loved the breakfasts and the quick and friendly service. The meals were nutritious with many local touches and homemade jams and jellies.
Comfortable and friendly. Great breakfast.
Good location close to the waterfront and able to accommodate 3 adults who all required separate sleeping quarters. Full kitchen. Pleasant owner.
For location it’s the best in all of gros morne! Top notch service. 10/10!!!!
All good here.
Breakfast was abundant and delicious.Nice quiet room and comfy
goed ontbijt. Vers klaar gemaakt.

One level, stand up shower, quiet location, homemade breakfast, family feel.
No AC but had a fan.
Jean and Milton were very congenial hosts. They served up delicious breakfasts.
The room was very small.
Everyone was very friendly and we got big hugs when we left.
Nothing
I felt like we were experiencing life with the locals. A sweet cottage just steps from the ocean and walking distance to all the attractions.
I loved the homemade breakfast that was based on seasonal fruit; however I know I should not eat that much sugar if I want to keep travelling
Nice and helpful host - provided even a moose soup upon arrival! Great breakfast and interesting chats with the host and the other guests.
The weather !!!!!! Could , wet and windy - grrr!
Great location, central to the Gros Marne national park with views of Bonne Bay, Woody Point, and the Tablelands. An easy walk to restaurants, the water taxi to Woody Point and the Bay boat tour. Excellent breakfast, home made and different every day. The hosts were amazing, friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was not attached, off the hall and shared with another room.
The location was ideal in every way. But the breakfasts, and the most welcoming hosts you'll ever meet, made our stay a very memorable one. We'll be back, that's for sure!
Jamais 2 p'tits-dej pareils ! L'expérience était délicieuse !
Excellent
Coffee pot in room
Fully enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were approachable, very helpful and just amazing. The only trouble I had was the visit of the spooks from the cemetery. Good chats with one and all. We wish you well. Harold and Christine
Jean is an exceptionally nice and kind person who went out her way to make us feel very well taken care of, comfortable, and happy. Her cooking was excellent and thoughtfully planned, and she even made extra breakfast for me as I had to leave early. She and her husband, Milton are obviously taking pleasure and pride in running their business, and they put their hearts and thoughts into treating their guests. Their personality shines through the atmosphere and the way they deal with their guests. Their location is convenient, and the surrounding is beautiful.
There is nothing I did not like there.
Jean was great. The food was wonderful
A little cluttered
Freundlichkeit, hilfsbereit
The breakfasts were over the top delicious and the lady that was the host was so great and knowledgeable.
The view from the rooms, breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and jellies. Jean was a delight
When we arrived, Jean provided us with homemade scones and tea and it went uphill from there. She cooked wonderful breakfasts, different each day, such as Eggs Benedict, The special aspect of Out East was the homeliness . The bedspreads were all multicoloured , beautiful quilts making the bedrooms so cheerful. The sitting room was a meeting place for the guests, many from far and wide. The bedroom also had everything we needed and the bathroom we shared with one other room was clean and comfortable. We were also able to do our laundry while we were there.
Can't think of anything
Très bon déjeuner. Personnel super accueillant et gentil. Bien situé.
The room was cozy. The bathroom was beautiful. Jean was a fantastic host and made a delicious breakfast.
Stunning location and perfect for our stay in the Gros Morne area! The property is well taken care of and quite picturesque. Would book again!!
Quite. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast
Host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Great location to get around to various locations and close to the water. Highly recommend.
The breakfast was great! Host is friendly and helpful.
great hospitality from Jean!
Our host Jean, was fabulous. She was super friendly and helpful. She also made fabulous breakfasts and they were different each day. Everything homemade!
It was totally fine. Just dated. But it was clean and cozy. Very homey. Because of Jean, we would stay there again.
Our host, Jean, was exceptional. She was welcoming, informative, kind, funny and very good breakfast company. The room was comfortable and clean and Jean made sure that everyone enjoyed their breakfast.
The only drawback was being able to hear the breakfast conversations from our room.
The location was amazing, and the place was clean, although it was quite crowded due to the peak season. However, the price we paid was excellent value for money, especially considering that there aren't many decent and affordable accommodation options in the area.
We didn't enjoy the breakfast very much. It was homemade, but it was a bit too sweet for our taste, and we weren't allowed to use the kitchen to prepare our own breakfast. Unfortunately, there were no cafes or restaurants nearby where we could have a different breakfast, so it wasn't very convenient for us.
The property was close in to the action . It was clean & tidy & friendly.
I felt it was very expensive. Everything felt a little worn . Sheets were a cotton synthetic mix When I book a B & B I expect breakfast to be included. Not in this case. Back section, no view.
Character +++++ Jean +++++ location 👍
Nothing
We really enjoyed our stay at Out East B&B - lovely accommodations, wonderful breakfast with homemade toast and jams. Jean is an excellent host who makes you feel “at home, away from home”. We would definitely want to stay at Out East again if we visit Nfld again. We highly recommend Out East to anyone visiting the Gros Morne area.
An additional hand towel (enough for 2) and a second set of facecloths would be appreciated. Otherwise, we had everything we needed.
I loved it here. I felt like I was a guest in a wonderful persons home and Breakfast and conversations were wonderful.
I wouldn't change a thing
The host is wonderful. She made great breakfasts each day. And we liked the personal touches she gave to each serving. The b&b is in a nice location, with easy access to everything we wanted to do in Gros Morne area. We also loved meeting and chatting with other guests each morning. It is a cozy place to stay; very warm and welcoming environment.
The room was a bit tight. But we were out most of the time, so we did not mind it that much.
Great host and great breakfast. Host was extremely helpful with things to do in the area.
Felt like home, jean is an exceptional host and the food was excellent
Liked it all
We loved the location in Norris Point just steps away from the water and an amazing view. Our room was lovely with flannel sheets and hand crafted quilts on the beds. Breakfasts were filling. Coffee was excellent and we loved all the excellent homemade jams and jellies that were offered (partridge berry, squash berry, blueberry, baked apple berry etc.!) Our host, Jean, was attentive to all our needs and recommended places for evening entertainment and trails that we might enjoy. She was thoughtful and kind.
We liked everything.
Charming and relaxing. Everything we could need was available
2 single beds would have been a really great option if available
The breakfast was delicious and creative. Coffee was super. Location is convenient and room at a beautiful view of the Tablelands at Gros Morne. Host and atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Cozy place with a great view! Fabulous host and the breakfast was delicious!
Bathroom was next to our bedroom and you could hear everything.
Location and the breakfast was excellent along with friendly host.
Bed was hard. Tiny bathroom vanity.
Great view within easy walking distance to local café pub boat tours and hikes
Jean is a wonderful gem of a host. The breakfasts were awesome. We had great visits with the other visitors and Jean as well. She was a wealth of knowledge when it came to the hikes, the places to go, things to do, restaurants. There were a variety of room types in the main house and 2 cabins.
Nothing
We were one of the last people to check in for the night and the host was over to give us the details for the stay within minutes of use looking up the booking details from the car. She was full of love and energy, getting to know us and keeping the atmosphere alive with the other guests. She gave us space in the guest fridge for our items and provided a homestyle breakfast in the morning. Along side that, she is a wealth of knowledge about Gros Morne National Park, gave us a little history of the Western Brook Pound and other tibits about how to get around the park. The wild card that really added to the stay here were the other guests. Most we didn't get a chance to talk to but the ones that we did, made use feel like we were traveling through other's experiences.
The double bed room with the shared bathroom on the second floor we had was on the smaller side but still very cozy. There were plenty of linens to keep us warm but be mindful of how much luggage you bring in as it could limit how easy it is to get around. We believe the floor of the house was a little slanted which gave one of us a little motion sickness after all the time spent in the car but once you get out onto the main floor, there are no issues.
We stayed 2 different nights and both times the breakfast was delicious. Even catered to my GF needs.
Central location in a small town. The cabin was spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable.
The cottage was so comfortable and Jean made amazing breakfasts. She was so helpful and friendly.
Nothing
The hostess was exceptional. She greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good.

Great hospitality and terrific breakfasts! So nice to get a feel for the friendly community that Jean brings to this place.
Breakfast was amazing!
Leuke plek. Aardige gastvrouw.
Jean may not be the owner but she is dedicated and gives her guests amazing service. Breakfast was good each day and the other guests lovely.
Some might say it was chilly but we had ample quilts and it was perfect for sleeping. We had no complaints at all.
Very good location to see the tablelands. Quiet and cozy chalet.
Great new breakfasts every morning. Able to use bbq one night. Kind and helpful host.
Great location for exploring Gros Morne, and such friendly and helpful hosts. They had no problem accommodating some dietary restrictions and provided a wonderful breakfast.
Nice & variety of breakfast.
Host Jene was very friendly and breakfasts were exceptional. We stayed three nights and different breakfast everyday.
The Best Breakfast of Our Entire Newfoundland Trip Out East B&B · Norris Point, NL We stayed at Out East B&B during our road trip through Gros Morne, and it was an absolute highlight — not just of the park visit, but of our entire Newfoundland journey. The hosts are warm, genuine, and wonderfully welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like guests and more like friends dropping in. Their hospitality is the kind that's simply not found in hotels — it comes from the heart, and you feel it in every detail. But let's talk about breakfast. Every morning, the table was set with homemade specialties that were nothing short of extraordinary — fresh, local, and made with obvious care and pride. We've stayed at quite a few B&Bs across Newfoundland, and this was, without question, the best breakfast we had the entire trip. The kind of meal that makes you slow down, savour every bite, and wish you didn't have to leave. The location right on the water in Norris Point adds a stunning backdrop to an already exceptional stay. Five stars, without hesitation. We'll be back.
Our hosts were lovely...so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast wad amazingly delicious and plentiful.
The room was so smalll it was awkward moving around. There was no closet and only one end table. Had no TV.
Parfait
Very quiet location
We enjoyed the people we meet, all friendly and great to talk with.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Jean is an incredible hostess. We slept the best we have in the past year!!! So soundly, so quiet. The room was clean and fresh. Jean put on a spectacular breakfast. Fruit, yogurt and granola, and eggs Benedict with her homegrown asparagus. Jean truly went overboard. Her passion for people and accommodating them was very evident.
The breakfast was delicious! Everything was very good.
I think a tv in our room would have been nice, but there was a comman area.
Great breakfast. Nice people.
Accommodations were expert host a company Breakfast were excellent
Jean loves to cook breakfasts for her guests and both times we stayed during our trip, the meals were great...especially the variety of jams and jellies that she makes herself! She showed us all around the property to see different rooms as we knew that we were going to come back later in our trip after touring more of the island.
Best location for accessing all sections of Gros Morne park and community walks around bay communities. We had room 5 for several days. Outside entrance w/porch set beside garden and across from cabins. Very quiet but just down the interior hall from kitchen and breakfast dinning area. Jeanie provided a huge, varied breakfast every morning - fruit, yogurt, juice w/ home made muffins, waffles, eggs Benedict and local berry sauces and jams. I loved the flannel sheets and sun streaming through our windows. Great fun to meet other travelers at breakfast to exchange stories while our hostess made recommendations for hikes and events.
Nothing really. I think some people who relied on the Airbnb photos may think the photos misrepresented how sophisticated the units and property were. We found our suite to be well appointed, clean and functional (heat, lights, storage, shower…). Older style furniture but fully restored and a handmade quilt on the bed ! Personally, I have my own garden and yard so enjoyed the fall status of garden and mostly native plantings around the property. Would love to see it in the summer too.
Great location as a base for exploring Gros Morne. Good breakfast with wide selection of food. Great host and great interaction with other guests.
Small room. Uncomfortable beds. Could be cleaner.
Super friendly host and yummy breakfast. Flexibilité with our arrivant. I tottaly recomand that B&B
