Fantastic ‘homely’ spotlessly clean and spacious self catering apartment. The bathroom was particularly pleasing with a lovely rainfall style shower!

The bed was a bit small

This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, welcoming, and full of character. It is not just a place to stay — it has a special atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed almost immediately. The room was beautiful, cosy, and thoughtfully decorated. The books, binoculars, wide windowsill, and carefully chosen details made it feel personal rather than like a typical hotel room. Everything created a sense of calm and made us want to spend more time there. And then there was the view — absolutely breathtaking. From the window, we could see the sea, the long sandy beach. We could sit there for hours watching the coastline and the changing light. Waking up to that view every morning was unforgettable. What made this hotel so special was the combination of its wonderful atmosphere, charming interior, excellent location, and spectacular sea view. We truly loved our stay and left with very warm memories. It is the kind of place you do not simply stay in — you remember it long after the trip is over.

Excellent location right beside the beach, the views from the room were stunning, perfect for the sunrise and sunset and you can sit on the window ledge and look out. . Binoculars were supplied to look out to sea. I was a bit worried as the rooms in the photographs looked quite small but they were massive and plenty of space for us and our small dog. The bathroom was big and modern, shower gel was provided. Smugglers next door was also great and went there twice for food which was so handy. Anthony and Pauline were great hosts so welcoming and friendly, will defo be back!

The view was spectacular and the apartment was very clean and well equipped. The welcome pack of goodies was a lovely gesture as well as the personalised welcome letter.

Great location with fantastic views out across the Atlantic. You get a fantastic experience with the sunset as well, and whilst it is weather dependent, there is no denying it is very impressive and the main selling point.

We had the ground floor room and whilst understanding why it is there, the privacy screen does take away from the view. Also room is very small and don’t understand why kitchen utensils etc provided when there is nothing at all to cook on. Even coffee percolator, but no filters etc. All pointless.

The view and location are both amazing - a quick walk down the road to the beach, the lovely Smuggler Creek gastropub next door, and the Pastry Shack round the corner for breakfast make this place really stunning. The kitchenette was fully equipped down to the fairy liquid and tea towels. The bed was extremely comfortable with a lovely soft plush duvet and plenty of pillows.

Providing shower gels would have been nice. Booking.com did not make it clear that if you bring a dog you must mention it in advance, otherwise there is an extra charge per night of 25euro (we were put in a non-dog friendly room which resulted in cleaning fees). The room itself was rather small, but the outdoor patio with deck chairs and benches made up for it for the breakfast view and a place to eat.

Everything!!! Lovely hosts!! Beautiful apartment with stunning views of the sea!! Cute decorations! Thank you Pauline and Anthony - my aunt, myself and my dog had a great time. We will be back soon :)

Anthony and pauline very friendly .Extremely homely and welcoming .We had 3 small dogs stayed in Anna studio apartment ground floor fantastic view off beach out front windows.Dog treats left in to start trip.Coffee tea biscuits milk water and sweets in apartment for our stay .Spotless clean with all facilities hair dryer ironing board .Would highly recomend for a stay in donegal and most off all if you love having your pets ideal apartment and beach .Thanks Anthony and Pauline ❤️🐕🐕🐕😃

Fabulous views, spacious, spotless. Loved the mini welcome pack. Netflix access was great. Very comfy bed. I'll mention the view again! Hosts very friendly and helpful.

An oven would've been handy, and access to washing facilities but this is a small thing. Overall we had a wonderful stay and a would go back again.

The view was outstanding! Spacious apartment, perfect for 3 people. Hosts were incredibly nice.

It’s just a little noisy with the restaurant downstairs, but it was quite by the time we went to bed.

Wonderful little studio apartment with the most amazing view of the beach and sea. Is very well equipped with everything you need for a few days stay. It is a few minutes walk from the glorious beach at Rossnawlargh. The restaurant below the apartments is excellent and there is a nice friendly pub a few steps down the road too. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay in Gaslight Inn apartments. The view from the apartment is spectacular. We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant downstairs. There is a pub right beside the apartment, which had great live music. Rossnowlagh Beach is great for surfing and is right beside the apartment. We will return

The owners treated us disgustfully. There is no way that place is dog friendly I thought an apartment was bigger than a prison cell but apparently not. Yes one of my dogs did chew a bit of a key of a rocking chair but if you took a bit of sandpaper to it there would be no problem but they said we destroyed a duvet,.ruined a chair and scraped a window sill then took £160 for damaged without permission. Never have we had worse hosts and they charged us more than booking.com had advertised.

Beautiful location with beach views, and the owners were so lovely and accommodating. The restaurant on site was also super. Highly recommend, and we will be back.

We were on the ground floor so could hear a little noise from the room above us. Mainly was just in the morning so never disturbed us during the night. Next time we will be opting for an upper-floor room with the beach view.

thought it was a brand new apartment. it’s that perfect. had a space for our dog. amazing view. owners are lovely.

Beautiful place with stunning views of the beach. The resturant is lovely and I would highly recommend booking in early. The rooms are equipped with everything you could need and it was simple to find help if you needed it. Low tide access to the beach was a short stroll away and there was another pub restaurant just beside the gaslight so you could entertain yourself for several days without getting in the car. Saying that though there is alot to explore nearby and surfing seemed very popular

The room was compact for two people and and two dogs and there was an extra charge per dog. the size of the room was reflected in the price and other bigger rooms were available so that was on me. it didn't stop us taking a lazy day and staying on site.

What a lovely gem of a property! The bedrooms were spacious and wonderfully decorated and appointed. We booked this last minute and it was the highlight of our trip around Ireland. The owners were wonderful and very helpful in giving us travel hints for our continued journey to Belfast. They made a point of learning our names and using them when we spoke. Bella the dog was a welcomed treat! The Guinness was great and dinner was also great. Highly recommend!!

No breakfast, no dinner available. The setting is lovely, but sort of in the middle of nowhere, so not much around, no place for breakfast. Maybe high season is better.

We really enjoyed our stay from the very start . Our room was gorgeous with a fantastic view and with everything we needed. The weather wasn't great but the sound of the waves and the beautiful beach and surroundings made up for that. We really want to return and to see Pauline and Anthony again. They made us so welcome. A fabulous place! Thank you.

I have to say that everything was great and we wished that we could stay longer.

Hosts were WONDERFUL, walk to the beach was short and views were outstanding. The Smugglers Creek was steps away for a beer and alt dinner destination. The bakery shack - with AWESOME coffee was a 5 min drive and short walk through the peace centre. Modest kitchenette provided extra facilities - small fridge and microwave included.

It’s tough to identify a niggle, but a double bed is a little small for us these days. Other than that, nothing more could be wished for.
