Annie May's Bar, B&B

Simple clean room, good crisp white bedding, good shower. Very nice breakfast with plenty of options. We were worried about noise from the bar below but apart from hearing happy birthday sung once before 10.30 we heard nothing else.

Friendly staff, good central location in Skibbereen. Parking available nearby. Breakfast were very good.

Rooms were bright at night due boutique lights on across the road. No black out on curtains. Internet access in rooms was unavailable, inaccessible.

Excellent value for money , very accommodating, regarding dietary needs , breakfast was lovely , the staff very friendly , food excellent. I felt very safe .

Room a little small .

Great location for us as my partner was playing in the Skibereen blues festival. Lovely homely atmosphere. It was my 1st time staying in a B&B as we normally say in hotels, so I was pleasently surprised

We had a bit of an issue with the plumbing, the water in the taps and in the shower ran out at times. We did let the housekeeping girl know, so hopefully it is something that can be fixed

Friendly staff Good location.

Shower didn't work properly. I was asked to pay upfront even though I'm certain I already paid via Booking.com. The room waa located next to some sort of industrial fan so it was uncomfortably loud. Also in the morning, the room smelt like what I can only describe as chicken nuggets. Breakfast waa disappointing as my sausages tasted like rubber.

The place was absolutely brilliant for our stay. We needed a BnB close enough to my children's rowing event and were worried we could only book somewhere 30 mins away. But this accommodation turned out lovely and perfect for our needs. The breakfasts were devine.

It was a bit loud at night because of a music festival on, which our host Paudi apologised profusely for - but my kids slept fine through it so I wasnt bothered, i wished I had the energy to go enjoy it! Some might find the rooms small for 3 people and nowhere to hang clothes, but we didn't have any problems.

The location was central and the full Irish breakfast was excellent.

They stopped serving dinner at 7.30pm.

Located in the centre of the town. Otherwise nothing.

Room - Cramped with no no tea and coffee making facilities. No where to put your case as the room was too small. No where to hang your clothes as there was no wardrobe or hangers, just a cabinet with shelves. Nauseating smell of laundry and dampness continuosly from the adjacent laundry room. Vibrating noises when the washing machines were on. Steam / dampness from adjacent "steam ironing area". Dirty carpet as you approached the room. No bin in the room. The room was not serviced at any time during our 5 night stay. When other guests moved around in the room above it was like somebody walking around in your own room, so not very restful first thing in a morning. Bathroom - Very cramped tiny space. No plug for the tiny sink which because of it's size was difficult to use. A bottle containig a drop of watered down hand wash was "provided". Toilet paper ran out after 2 nights. Bathroom bin was not emptied once during the 5 nights. The bathroom floor creaked and was dirty around the shower enclosure. Broken towel rail, so no where to hang your towel. Shower enclosure door very stiff and difficult to operate, no where for shower gel etc in the shower. The toilet seat would not stay in the upright position, continuosly falling down. Breakfast - Breakfast was in a rather tired room with worn out furniture and "bench" seats that were uncomfortable for eating at. The fry consisted of poor quality bacon and two burnt sausages that you could not cut with a knife. Needless to say I did not order anything from "the Kitchen" on subsequent mornings. You had to continually ask for butter and marmalade as it was rarely on your table. This was a complete rip off at €200 per night. The most expensive of our stay in Ireland but the worst by a long way. A five night endurance. I don't normally do reviews but had to on this occasion. Appalling is politest word I can find.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly & helpfull.

The en suite was a bit tight for space.

- Das Wasser in der Dusche wurde zu schnell kalt. Ich hatte kaum das Shampoo in den Haaren, da verschwand auch schon das warme Wasser. - Ich empfand das Personal als sehr kalt und nicht sehr freundlich.

Otroligt charmig pub med Bed and breakfast som drivs av tre generationer kvinnor. Centralt och trevligt läge. Lite bohemiskt på ett charmigt sätt, men rummet överraskande fräscht och tyst. Trevlig frukost och gott.

Inte bästa sängen tyckte jag, men min partner och vårat sällskap som här sin bästa natt.

The bedrooms are very very basic and cheap, I stayed on the top floor, there are no windows in the room only a skylight at high level, there is no way to stop light coming on the room early morning when your trying to sleep.

Annie May's was utterly delightful! The location was perfect, the food delicious, but what really made our stay truly exceptional were the people. From greeting us each morning to helping us find a taxi, the family and staff at Annie May's showed us immense kindness and joy. We will absolutely be back to explore Ireland further and will book Annie May's again for our home base.

Wasn't an issue for us, but the building wouldn't suit someone with mobility issues. Rooms are up one or two flights of stairs.

A good Irish breakfast with friendly staff serving. Location worked for us to visit attractions nearby. Parking in public car park across the road. Chat with paddy, the landlord.

Breakfast - somewhat, recommendations fir our forward journey and location.

Dark, several flights of stairs to drag bulky bags up, uncomfortable beds and pillows - our daughters had a dirty sock in it so clearly had not been changed, breakfast not beginning until 9am was very inconvenient and late for what we are accustomed to.

Breakfast was great, bed comfy... It is over a pub so expectations were low.. Sketchy check in but clean

Wonderful family has owned this property for many years. Couldn’t have been nicer. Fine family pride. Fabulous breakfasts.

Breakfast was good and location was around the corner from where we had meetings everyday. The staff were pleasant and friendly.

They could have provide clean dry towels each day . And the could have emptied waste paper bags each day & noticed that the hand was was empty .

The place was shabby. The door to the en suite was heavy and didn't close completely. The noise of the heavy rain all night was like being in a caravan

It was basic but clean and very central. The owners were so nice especially micheàl who was our breakfast host. He was very helpful on things to do and breakfast was excellent
