Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort

We stayed for a weekend trip to the island and we were able to enjoy the amenities of the hotel while running out to see some sights around the island. We upgraded to an executive level room after we had already paid for a rate with breakfast included. They offered us the option to enjoy the breakfast in the lounge and get the buffet lunch included instead. I thought that was nice to honor what we already paid for and still get the benefits of the lounge. The hotel is only three years old and is beautiful. We liked the lobby decor and the conditions of the room - it still looks new. The grounds are very well kept and there are four pools to choose from. We enjoyed the food in the lounge (breakfast, snacks, tea, and evening canapes and drinks). The lounge also has a beautiful view. The main dining room offered great options for breakfast and lunch buffets. The hotel has public beach access and is near a small set of restaurants (Yard Miyakojima) so there are some easy off site options if you want them. We were able to easily drive to other sites around the island from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and made a point to know our names and room numbers in the executive lounge. We had a lovely experience staying there and the staff and ambiance of the hotel made it a very relaxing and effortless trip.

If I had to say anything, I would say that the afternoon tea is a bit small in the lounge, it offered a few small cakes and cookies. It isn't a traditional afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches that we have gotten in lounges in other hotels. I saw that they offer afternoon tea in the main lobby lounge, but we didn't have time to try that. I'm assuming that might have been the more traditional tea service. Again, not a problem for us, but just not what we exepected when we saw afternoon tea.

Otelin konumu oldukça iyiydi. Havuzunun akşam saat 10'a kadar açık olması da baya güzel açıkçası. Temizliği çok iyiydi. Odaların rahatlığı ve genişliği çok iyiydi. Kahvaltısı oldukça çeşitli idi. Personeli çok yardımsever ve kibardı. Çevrede zararlı bir deniz anası türü olduğu için halk plajını fileler ile ayırmışlar. Bu bölüm tamamı ile güvenli.

Otelin adının Hilton olduğunu düşününce, ücretli hizmet almak açısından menünün bu kadar dar tutulmasını yadırgadık. Örneğin havuz başındaki barda ücretli bir şekilde yiyip içebileceğimiz şeyler oldukça azdı ve ayrıca bunların da çoğu tükenmiş durumdaydı. Kokteyller konusunda da maalesef otelin sınıfta kaldığını söylemem gerekir. Şuruplu şekerli çok az alkollü karışımlar yapıp adına kokteyl demişler maalesef. Görüntüsü oldukça güzel ve otelden erişimi çok rahat bir plaj var. Plajda muhtemelen Miyako kuralları nedeni ile otelin şezlong ve şemsiyesi bulunmuyor. Sadece halk plajı olarak belirlenen yerde şezlong şemsiye kullanmak mümkün olabiliyor. Deniz tertemiz ama berrak değil, muhtemelen dalgaların kumu kaldırması nedeni ile bir şey görebilmek mümkün olamıyor.

The rooms and the overall facilities

We stayed at the Hilton Miyakojima from August 13th to 16th as the final stop on our trip to Japan. The rooms and the overall facility meet the chain's standards, but there are I several things that fall short of the standard expected of a property like the Hilton: - Check-in: We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 AM and asked for early check-in. I realize this is an option, but I also find it absurd that the hotel doesn't offer this option, even if the room is ready earlier. The result was that at 3:00 PM, approximately 150 people were crowded together at reception waiting for their rooms, and I doubt they were all magically ready at the same time. - Mini bar: We arrived thirsty and opened the fridge, but there was no sign of a bottle of water anywhere, nor any other drinks or anything else. I'm not expecting the hotel to provide anything free, but it seems like the least I could do to find water in the room without having to walk six floors to the lobby to buy it. However, I did find a drawer full of wine, coffee, and tea accessories. So I went down to the lobby and purchased water and a few soft drinks, some of which I left for subsequent guests. - Pools: The hotel is more suited to a family vacation because the main pool is dedicated to children, who are always crowded. The adults-only pool is a small pool (perhaps a bit of a stretch) connected to the indoor pool, which is also frequented mostly by screaming children. What's unacceptable is the lack of lounge chairs and umbrellas, which were no more than fifty despite the outdoor area serving both our hotel and the one next door, which has about a thousand guests. Even more unacceptable was the fact that by the adult pool, there were equipped tents costing 5 euros an hour, often empty for this reason.

This hotel is very clean and up to date. The bed was very comfortable. The view was nice. The food at the Italian restaurant was delicious, albeit expensive. The staff are friendly. Check-in was smooth, and they even let us check-in 15 minutes early, which is not always the case in Japan.

While the pictures didn't lie, there was a lot left to be desired about this hotel. Yes, the pools are nice. But there are not enough lounge chairs with umbrellas for all guests, and the sun is too strong to sit in for any amount of time. The pools open around 9am - at least an hour later than we would have liked. The pool bar has open and closing hours that vary greatly from the pool hours. So you can be thirsty at the pool, and not have a place to buy a drink. The hotel doesn't provide water bottles (there is a water carafe in the room, and a water dispenser on every floor, but you have to bring your own water bottle if you want to bring water to the pool). There are no vending machines, which means you are dependent upon the pool bar or the small store in the lobby for snacks. Also, the lounge chairs on the beach are a separate fee. There are 2-3 restaurants onsite. The main restaurant provides a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there is ala carte options for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet is good, but again, there is not enough space for all of the guests, so you have to wait in line to eat, sometimes up to a half an hour. The lunch and dinner buffet were pretty expensive, and the ala carte options were more reasonably priced but not especially good. The Italian restaurant is very good, and more expensive than the main restaurant. When we arrived at the Italian restaurant, we were asked if we had a reservation, but there was nothing in the literature that told us we should make a reservation. They were able to accommodate us. The staff were friendly. However, the restaurants seemed understaffed. The hotel took a long time to respond to my questions prior to arriving, including my questions about the shuttle from the airport.

Es fehlte eine Bar für die Zeit nach 20:00 Uhr. Die Bar war im Schwesterhotel neben an. Ich hätte mir bei der Größe des Hotels eine eigene Bar im Hotel gewünscht. Für Raucher ist das Hotel eine extreme Herausforderung :)

Hotel naprawdę świetny, pokoje bardzo duże, przestronne z telewizorem Smart. Śniadanie wyśmienite, każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Jedyny minus, dość daleko do sklepów oraz restauracji, wszędzie musieliśmy brać taksówkę, żeby coś zjeść. Podczas tajfunu i po odwołaniu naszego lotu nie otrzymaliśmy żadnego wsparcia ze strony hotelu. W takiej sytuacji oczekiwaliśmy większej pomocy od obsługi.

Er kwam een tyfoon aan en daarop werd voorbereid, zonder expliciete communicatie. Dit betekende dat 2 dagen voordat de tyfoon aankwam, de parasols aan het zwembad al werden weggehaald. Buiten geen schaduw meer, behalve in de cabana’s - maar daar moest je dan wel voor betalen. Echt onzin, vooral omdat we daardoor moesten kiezen voor levend verbranden of terug naar de kamer. Daarnaast is de cocktailbar op het dakterras leuk, maar het betalen van cover charge als hotelgast was wel heel apart.

Tolle Lage mit direktem Zugang zum Strand, traumhafte Gartenanlage mit 3 schönen Pools, toller Indoor-Pool mit sehr bequemen Liegen, kurzer Weg in den Ort, tolle Dachterrasse mit super Ausblick und Bar, sehr großzügige Zimmer mit Balkon und toller Ausstattung, reichhaltiges Frühstück und qualitativ hochwertiges Abendessen im Buffetrestaurant; Bushaltestelle direkt am Eingang

Room was Hilton standard

While the rooms themselves live up to the usual Hilton standard — spacious, clean and comfortable — the overall hotel experience was extremely disappointing and I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere in Okinawa. Everything at this hotel comes at an additional cost — not as a feeling, but as a fact. You have to pay for Wi-Fi, pay extra for day beds by the pool, and even room service is heavily restricted. Want a coffee delivered in the morning? You need to order it the day before. Nearly every service or convenience seems to involve another charge, which completely takes away from what should feel like a relaxing resort experience. For the price you pay to stay at this hotel, these things should simply be included. The staff were friendly and polite, however the service overall did not reflect the level expected from a Hilton property. In fact, I received far better hospitality and overall service at several 3-star hotels throughout Japan during this trip. For the price point, the hotel feels far more focused on upselling guests than delivering genuine hospitality or value.

Loved the location of the resort, the pool and the beach access. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The whole vibe, atmosphere and decor of the resort were absolutely beautiful. And the spa was very relaxing and I had a great treatment there.

When we arrived no one helped us with our bags to get them out of the car and there was more concern with a bus arriving then actually helping us to get our bags and then we could have moved the car, this incident was not a great welcome. We were also super disappointed that the pools close so early and that the adults pool closes early.

朝食は7階のレストランと1階のビュッフェから選べましたが、1階のビュッフェのおもてなしがあまりにも素晴らしく、3日間ずっと1階でいただきました。 そして、副総料理長の Mutty 様には本当に心温まるご対応をしていただきました。 私には生卵アレルギーがありますが、Mutty 様が細やかに気遣って調理してくださり、安心して美味しく食事を楽しむことができました。 本当にありがとうございました。 次回も必ずヒルトン様に伺います。 I recently stayed at the Hilton and had an exceptional experience. For breakfast, I could choose between the 7th‑floor restaurant and the 1st‑floor buffet, and the hospitality at the buffet was so wonderful that I ended up dining there all three mornings. I would especially like to express my gratitude to Executive Sous Chef Mutty. I have a raw egg allergy, and he took such great care in preparing my food safely and thoughtfully. Thanks to his attention and kindness, I was able to enjoy my meals with complete peace of mind. It truly meant a lot to me. The warm service, delicious food, and genuine care from the staff made my stay unforgettable. I will definitely return to the Hilton on my next visit.

2泊3日で滞在しました！ビュッフェも美味しくスタッフのみなさんはとても優しく親切に対応してくださいました。お部屋も綺麗でロケーションも最高でした。また宿泊したいなと思いました。

朝食について 全体的には充実していると思う。 ケチャップをどうやったらもらえるか分かりにくい。 ミニハンバーガーは、具が魚の時はいいが、肉は最悪。硬いし、まずい。メニューから外した方がいい。 フルーツもリンゴが丸ごとで提供されていたり、キウイも皮が付いたまま提供されていたり、雑な感じが否めない。キウイが皮つきで提供されたホテルは生まれて初めて。 オレンジ、グレープフルーツは輪切りを半分にカットしてあって、食べにくい。８分の１の櫛型切りにすべき。

Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend; Abendessen im a la carte-Restaurant sehr gut! Wurden dort auch gut beraten zwecks Portionsgrößen, Bar inklusive Kellnern sehr gut! Den eigenen infused Rum unbedingt probieren! Personal an der Rezeption alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und alle konnten sehr gut Englisch!

Kein Wasser im Zimmer, Pools haben zu zeitig geschlossen, beim Frühstück kein Sekt inklusive

環境好，早餐可以從早上一直吃到午餐1300還會換菜。

價格偏高，游泳池開放時間只到5、6點，不能算很划算的選項，可以體驗一兩天。

楼层安排上最好事先提示下，如果能安排在高楼层更好

The location and facilities were relatively new and had a modern feel.

On the first night, the pillow and bedding had an unpleasant odor, which made for a poor experience, and I had to request a change.

17개월 아기와 함께 한 미야코지마 여행에서 가장 중요한 숙박을 빼놓을수 없는데, 위지, 시설, 청결, 친절도 정말 만족한 호텔 이었습니다. 공항으로부터 약 20분정도 밖에 안걸리구요 아기와 함께 먹을수 있는 다양한 메뉴, 맛있는 음식의 질, 넉넉한 조식 시간!! 무엇보다 아이가 매우 편하게 잘수있는 호텔룸 컨디션이었습니다. 미야코를 또 방문 할 예정이니 이때도 힐튼으로 예약 할게요 감사합니다.

お部屋のグレードアップを進めて頂き景色が最高でした

慣れてない為もありますが、バスロープが私には、大きすぎて小さいサイズやフードがないデザインが良かったかなあと思いました。

伊良部大橋を臨む眺望が最高に綺麗でした！ フロントのスタッフも感じが良くて親切で、レストランのブッフェは宮古島ならではのメニューも盛り込まれていて美味しかったです。

オーシャンビューを申し込んでいましたが、橋の見えない反対側だと言われて見える側にプラス料金で変更してもらいました。空いていたから良かったのですが、最初から部屋の眺望についてもう少し分かりやすく説明が欲しかったです。
