Les chambres sont jolies, spacieuses, extrêmement propres et très calmes. Le petit déjeuner buffet (fait maison) est délicieux! À ne rater sous aucun prétexte. Et alors… l’hôtesse est géniale, toujours disponible et plein de conseils très judicieux (merci encore)

La chambre était spacieuse et d’une grande propreté. Cette charmante pension est décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Située idéalement au calme et à proximité du centre. L’hospitalité de Demet est exceptionnelle. N’hésitez pas à vous fier à ses recommandations, toutes celles que j’ai testées étaient parfaites.

The property is held by Demet, who is just a delight. She goes out of her way to help. The property is clean and prepared meticulously, with attention to every small detail, as already mentioned in other reviews. It’s clean, new, the facilities are good, AC works properly, and the bathroom is nice. She also makes available slippers, toiletries (shampoo and conditioner in addition to shower gel), some biscuits and a kettle for coffee and tea. There is also a minibar with small things if you have some cravings. I didn’t have breakfast but the backyard is lovely. Demet helped me get a taxi and, since I didn’t have any cash, exchange it for me. My parents run a B&B in Brasil, and I recognised the level of attentiveness and care. Thank you, Demet!

The property itself is lovely, but I did not love the location. I booked this place because it was 10min walk to the port, which is true, but is not in a nice part of the town. To European and American tourists, notably solo female travellers like me, pls note that Ayvalik has not yet been y by international tourists. It’s mainly Turkish people and virtually nobody speaks English. They are all lovely and try to help, but this is something to bear in mind. The apartment is in a very authentic normal part of the city, which feels unpolished and abandoned at times. The actual touristic city center with a beautiful coastal promenade is around 10-15 min walk, and even there it’s not super polished. In a future visit to Ayvalik, I’d stay either in the super touristic center of Ayvalik or in Cunda Island, much more prepared for tourists. But this is simply a personal preference, and the reason for my 9 rating. The property itself is lovely.

The space was very well-maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and aesthetically pleasing, with great attention to detail. Everything was clean and well cared for, and there was a very pleasant scent that made the room feel even more welcoming. The room includes a small minibar and a kettle, and they also offer small complimentary touches such as a bottle of water and some snacks, which is a nice gesture of hospitality. The property also features a beautiful inner courtyard with a bar, perfect for enjoying your coffee, with excellent music choices and a relaxed jazz atmosphere. It is located about 1 km from the port, making it quite convenient, and the staff welcomed us even late at night with professionalism and kindness.

The room does not include a larger refrigerator or additional facilities that would allow you to do more than simply rest. It is more suitable for sleeping and short stays rather than a more comfortable, extended stay with extra amenities.

The owner of the hotel is very kind and welcoming person. She helped us with our small requests,always were answering really quick. The room was clean and we were able for early check in

Το δωμάτιο ήταν εξαιρετικό σε όλες τις παροχές του,πεντακάθαρο,όμορφο και άνετο η διακόσμηση υπέροχη. Η ιδιοκτήτρια ήταν εξαιρετική,ευγενική,φιλόξενη και πρόθυμη να σε βοηθήσει σε οτιδήποτε ήθελες! Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα! Η σχέση ποιότητας τιμής θα έλεγα ότι είναι κ αρκετά χαμηλή κάθως οι παροχές ήταν άψογες και η τιμή πολύ χαμηλή!

We had a great stay. The location is perfect, right in the center, so it’s easy to walk to cafes, restaurants and the main spots in town, but still quiet enough to relax without any noise. The room was very clean and nicely decorated, with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning worked well and the bathroom was spotless with good toiletries. You can tell they really care about cleanliness. The host was honestly the highlight of our stay. She was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful, and shared great local tips that made our time even better. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and well taken care of. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy place in a great location with genuinely warm hospitality, Gaja is a solid choice.

The property doesn’t have a dedicated car park, so you’ll need to park on the main road nearby.

Piccola pensione all’interno di un’una casa dove risiede apparentemente anche la proprietaria. Un gatto vi dà il benvenuto con discrezione. La camera che ci è stata assegnata era pulitissima con il primo vero bagno immacolato trovato nel nostro viaggio in Turchia. Non abbiamo potuto fare colazione perché il mattino siamo usciti presto e il servizio inizia alle 9 ma visto il piccolo patio dove viene servita ci sarebbe piaciuto esserci (500 lire turchese a persona). Proprietaria simpaticissima e di grande aiuto nel trovare il locale per la cena (ottimo).

Perfect stay for 1 night and very handy for the ferry for Lesvos (10 min walk at the most). Demet very kindly sent recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing. A lovely roof top terrace area which we unfortunately didn't have time to use and due to our early start to catch the ferry we didn't get to try their breakfast either

Beautiful and quiet place with a wonderful host. Hilarious designed and calming interior. Ideal location to explore the town, cafes and restaurants close by. And after the whole day to sleep in a comfortable bed. Definitely come back.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay – it was simply perfect! Our host, Demet, truly made our time here unforgettable. She is incredibly warm, caring, and attentive. No matter what we needed, she always found a solution and made us feel completely welcome and at home. The entire place is spotless and beautifully maintained, which instantly makes you feel comfortable. The breakfast was another highlight – freshly prepared, homemade, and absolutely delicious. You can taste the love and effort in every bite! 🥐☕️ The location is also fantastic – very central, with everything within walking distance. Yine gelsek yine gaja rooms ile konaklamayi tercih ederiz. Ayrica goz alici ve lezzetli kahvaltilarini denemeden de gitmemeli kimse, biz denedik cok memnun kaldik. Ayni zamanda cok guzel bir bahcesi ve muhtesem manzarali bir teratsta da vakit gecirme firsatimiz oldu.

Kahvaltı yakınlardaki popüler seçeneklerden kesinlikle daha iyi. Almanızı ve öncesinde çok aç olmanızı öneririm. Çok çeşit var ve her şey çok lezzetli. Eklediğim fotoğrafta çok az bir kısmı var kahvaltının. Sıcaklar henüz gelmemişti.

Quaint boutique stay with a clean and very well equipped room. We arrived early and our host Dee was very friendly and accomodating, with lots of attention to extra details like home made cookies and suggestions for must do’s on our trip

One of the best stays we've ever had, loved everything about it. The breakfast was outstanding, made with love and fresh ingredients, everyone still talks about it. Demet is a wonderfully warm and attentive host with great English. The small, family-run hotel is beautifully renovated - minimalist, modern, and welcoming. Great location near the center of Ayvalık in a charming old street. The hotel even has a rooftop terrace with a stunning view over the city and the sunset. Bonus: lovely cats!

I have nothing but the utmost praise for Demet at Gaja Rooms. Her meticulous attention to detail is truly unmatched. Together with her husband, she has created a peaceful and beautifully curated sanctuary in the heart of Ayvalik, just by the Aegean coast. The hotel is located in the quieter part of Ayvalik, offering a sense of calm and retreat, yet it’s only a short stroll—around five minutes on foot—to the lively market area. It’s also easy to find, and we were greeted by the sight of a beautiful bougainvillea in full bloom, draped gracefully over the front of the building. It immediately set the tone for a warm and welcoming stay. Demet welcomed us personally and thoughtfully provided a list of recommended eateries, restaurants, and places of interest to explore in and around Ayvalik. Her local insight made our visit even more enjoyable and helped us make the most of our time in the area. Our room was extremely well appointed, with tasteful, stylish touches throughout. Everything felt carefully considered and in excellent condition, blending comfort with character. A highlight of our stay was breakfast—an outstanding spread of local delicacies and handmade dishes, prepared with care by Demet and her chef husband. It was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride and hospitality. Gaja Rooms is truly a gem—quiet, beautiful, and full of heart. The property’s location is excellent, good balance of being close to the town centre but far enough away to be quiet. It is well organised, very clean and comfortable beds. The hostess is amongst the best I have experienced, very attentive and concerned about guests enjoying her property and her lovely city.

A lovely, comfortable, clean, modern, quite, safe and home-like place to stay. Close to the port and to the centre, in an interesting area of alternative cafes and shops. Ultra quiet at night, no traffic noise. The owner is very friendly and willing to help with any needs you have (car rental, boat tickets, directions, places to eat...). Especially liked their garden where the owner will treat you to coffee and her home-made cakes!

This was a perfect stay for us. We very asked about our arrival and departure hours and the hotel provided us a very warm wellcome and even there were some Christmas cookies in our room and the reception area. The products used in the hotel are from sustainable sources. When we were leaving, Ms. Demet gave us some freshly baked pastery.

Sezon sonu olmasına rağmen gayet temiz bakımlı ve aktif bir konaklama geçirdik. Demet hanımın girişimizden çıkışımıza kadar olan ilgisi bizleri çok memnun etti. Konakladığımız bölgenin Ayvalık bölgesinde her yere yürüme mesafesinde olması oldukça önemliydi. Otelin temiz olması , sessiz ve sakin bir bölgede olması konaklayacak misafirler için tercih sebebi olmaya devam edecektir. 5 yıldızı hak ediyor :)

Uçağım çok erken vardığı için otele valizimi bırakmama izin verdiler ve ilk andan itibaren çok güleryüzlüydüler. Odamı olabildiğinde hızlı hazırlayıp, bana haber verdiler ve erken check-in yapabildim. Buradaki iletişimleri ve yardımseverlikleri harikaydı. Ben tek gece kaldığım için kahvaltı servisi almamıştım ama arkadaki cafe alanının ambiansı çok hoştu. Oda oldukça temizdi ve her şey yeniydi, oldukça konforlu bir konaklama yaşadım. Ertesi sabah çok erken checkout yapıp Midilli'ye geçeceğim için otelin işletmecisi taze yaptıkları poğaça ve kurabiyelerden bir paket hazırlayarak, öncesinde bana haber vererek odama bıraktı. Yolda acıkabileceğimizi düşünüp, bu şekilde jest yapmak istemişler, çok ama çok düşünceli bir davranıştı. Çevremdeki herkesle paylaşıyorum bunu ama bu şeyler küçük görünen büyük jestler gerçekten. Genel olarak temizlik, güleryüz ve içerideki çalışanların mutluluğunu zaten ilk adımda hissediyorsunuz. Artık Ayvalık'a geldiğimde kalacağım yer çok net bende :) En kısa zamanda görüşmek üzere!

Öncelikle sahipleri çok tatlı insanlar ve inanılmaz ilgililer. Herhangi bir sorun yaşamadığımız gibi fazlasıyla memnun kaldık, özellikle kahvaltıları mükemmeldi.. Konumu da çok merkezi bir yerde, çarşıya ve sahile yürüyerek gidip gelebiliyorsunuz, cunda, sarımsaklı vb. yerlere 20-25 dakika uzaklıkta ve otelin hemen aşağısından 5-10 dakikada bir toplu taşıma araçları geçiyor. Ayvalığa tekrar gelirsek kesinlikle Gaja’yı tercih edeceğiz ☺️💛

We stayed at Gaja Hotel for three nights. The owners, Demet and Gökhan, are wonderful! We visit Ayvalık at least once a year to see my husband's family, so we're very familiar with the area. We've stayed in many different places, and we're glad Gaja opened because now we know where to stay in the future. The hotel is located outside the busy area but is within walking distance to the center. It has a beautiful breakfast that we enjoyed every morning. The room was spacious, with AC, a refrigerator, and a safe. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the room had everything we needed. There’s a coffee shop nearby called Crown Coffee Roastery—everything I’ve tried there was great. It’s an expert coffee shop with high-quality options. I also buy coffee beans from Crown; they have interesting blends, from red wine to pine honey. There’s a local shop, Moyy Atölye, right on the main street next to the hotel. I’ve bought jewelry and clothing there over the years and enjoy using them. We enjoyed our stay at Gaja—it’s convenient yet private. We will definitely be back!

Gaja Ayvalık'ta Demet Hanım ve Gökhan Bey'in sıcak,içten ve samimi yaklaşımlarıyla inanılmaz bir konaklama deneyimi yaşadık. Otel ve odalar oldukça temiz bu konuda içiniz kesinlikle rahat olsun. Ayrıca kahvaltısı da oldukça iyi, çeşitli ve doyurucuydu. Ayvalık merkeze ve ana ulaşımın olduğu yerlere çok yakın istediğiniz yere aracınız olmasa bile kolayca ulaşım sağlayabilirsiniz. Ayvalıkta merkeze ve minibüs durağına yürüme mesafesindeydi. Buradan otogara , sarımsaklıya, badavut plajına,cundaya çok kolay ulaşım sağlayabildik. Kaldığımız oda temiz ve aydınlıktı. Klima vb. ile ilgili de sorun yaşamadık. Mekanın sahibi Demet hanım bize hem konaklamayla ilgili hem de seyahat ile ilgili her konuda yardımcı oldu.

İşletme sahipleri karı koca çok ilgililerdi. Temizlik ve yemekler çok iyiydi. Sadece konum gereği otopark sorunu vardı. Ücretli otoparka bırakmak durumundasınız çünkü ayvalık sokakları çok dar. Odamız ferah ve çok temizdi. Dar bir sokaga bakmasaydı odamız daha da keyifli olabilirdi. Kahvaltılar da Demet hanımın el yapımı lezetli ezmeleri çok güzeldi.
