Hotel Palazzina Sardi

My wife and I booked three nights at the very central Hotel Palazzina Sardi. The welcome was very warm and the receptionist took time to explain the surroundings and recommend some good restaurants nearby. The room was absolutely gorgeous as was the complimentary Prosecco brought to our room. Only eight bedrooms in this converted town house and they are very large as was the bed. Added bonus was the roof terrace where we could sit with a glass of wine and unwind - surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Venice but calm and peaceful high above - a world away. Highly recommend. Breakfast was great and very varied - so should suit all tastes.

The best hotel during our trip to Italy. Hotel is beautifully decorated and is in a perfect location near St. Marks square. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

I’ll be honest: I am a chronic skeptic when it comes to online feedback. I usually ignore the five-star ratings, scroll straight to the negative reviews to see the 'real' story, and assume half of what I’m reading is generated by bots. However, I am writing this because Hotel Palazzina Sardi is the rare exception that deserves every bit of praise it gets. This is a 100% genuine account of a flawless stay. The location is unbeatable—situated in the very heart of Venice, just a stone’s throw from St. Mark’s Square. Despite being surrounded by the city's best restaurants and vibrant energy, the hotel is tucked away on a charming, quiet street that offers a peaceful sanctuary from the crowds. The interiors are stunningly renovated, blending modern luxury with classic Venetian soul. Our suite featured a breathtaking roof mural that felt like a private piece of art. The attention to detail is evident everywhere; the rooms are large, impeccably clean, and, a rarity in Venice, there is a reliable elevator. Even the bathroom was a highlight, boasting excellent water pressure. What truly sets this hotel apart is the service. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Room and greeted with a bottle of champagne. Andrea at the reception was a highlight, providing us with a tailored map and an insider’s guide to the city. The breakfast experience was equally impressive; the chef was incredibly attentive, preparing eggs to order and serving perfect espressos. Even when we had to depart early on our last day, the staff went above and beyond by having a breakfast goody bag ready for us. If you’re like me and searching for the 'catch', don't bother. This place is the real deal.

Close to the water for easily taking heavy bags to the water taxi. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very close to some of the best restaurants and sights but tucked away from the main foot traffic. It was a lovely experience.

Beyond expectation. Its boutique hotel in exceptional good location. Just 3 minutes from a water taxi pier that gets you from the Airport and 5 minutes walk from main square of San Marco. Fantastic breakfast, the lady that takes care about breakfast is wonderful. Except veggies and gluten free bred you can ask for extra prepared choices that are in menu. Not that i need but Proseco is also served. The room and bathroom is nice modern design. They also have small roof top to enjoy day and evenings chill. Service at the reception is top quality. We get to talk to 3 people at the reception and all of them so nice and helpful. I will come back.

This was a perfect location. We had a beautiful room with a view of a canal, walking distance to all the main attractions, but off the beaten path just slightly great restaurants and shopping nearby and the hotel itself the staff was outstanding. Very friendly, breakfast was wonderful in the morning, staff gave us directions to different things really can’t say enough about this hotel. It was just recently renovated so the accommodations are finished so beautifully.

Every aspect of our stay was excellent and we will surely return in the future. The breakfast was also outstanding.

Very enjoyable stay in a beautiful authentic Palazzo in a quiet area close to the Piazza San Marco - but out of the most touristed areas. The staff went our of their way to be helpful and responsive to all requests. Excellent AC during a hot spell. Venice is so nice now that the water locks are protecting the city.

Fantastic Hotel close to St. Mark’s Square. It is a little way off the main tourist street with good restaurants close by. Nice size clean rooms & the staff were extremely helpful too. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Our stay in this hotel was lovely. We were warmly greeted, and provided a local map with recommendations on places to see while we waited for our room to be ready. The rooms are as beautiful as they appear in the photos. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with cappuccinos. Every person we encountered in this hotel was so gracious. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Venice.

Fantastic location. So easy to walk to many great places. Great breakfast, great service. Had to open window to get fresh air and it was a bit noisy. Great rooftop. I don't think we had AC?? Also skip their recommended paid "boat tour of the city". Our boat guide didn't say a single thing. Might as well ride the water taxi around.

Fantastic located, very quiet small hotel. Very very nice staff at the front desk. We had the nicest, most attentive lady serving breakfast most days in the little hidden garden. Made the best coffee we had on the whole trip. Very nice bathroom, nice and clean, quiet hotel. Definitely top stars from us

Comfortable and elegant room, quiet location away from the crowds. The hotel is tucked away on a side street in the center of Venice. Hotel staff are professional and helpful. Big selection for breakfast in the morning. Wish they had a lounge/bar area in the hotel...the only down-side.

Everything about our stay was easy and convenient! The front desk arranged a private water taxi pick up from the train station. It was a short walk and easy with our bags to the hotel. Andrea was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and made our stay feel special. We loved our Prosecco on the roof!

The location of this hotel is perfect, only a few minutes from Piazza San Marco and yet it is so quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel, it is perfect.

El hotel es muy bonito, la temperatura del lobby y los cuartos es ideal, la cama muy cómoda, el baño comodisimo y convente, la atención del personal excelente y la ubicación increíble a unos cuánto pasos de la plaza San Marco, fue una experiencia muy agradable, volvería a regresar. La llegada es un poco difícil depende si llegas por el aeropuerto o bien por bus o tren, tendrán que llevarte a la plaza San Marcos y de ahí pones el Google maps que te guiará caminando al hotel.

Fantastic stay for a special occasion. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldn’t do enough for you. Andrea the manager especially helpful with directions, tips, booking a boat trip for us round the canals. The night we first arrived it was late and the night manager found us somewhere to eat. Breakfast is cooked to order. Again lovely staff member every morning. Decor was lovely. Modern interpretation of traditional Venetian style. Bed was incredibly comfortable and we had a view out over the little canal with the gondolas. Location easy to get to from the water boat stops. Plus very close to St Marks square and handy to restaurants, bars and shops. Highly recommend it!!

Hotel lived up to what would be expected of 4* rating. Great staff in reception and breakfast room who couldn't do enough for you upon any request or questions. Domestic staff very friendly and did a great room make-up. Hotel is in a great quite location for transport and other sites and restaurants.

This hotel has been the highlight of our trip to Italy! This newly opened hotel is stunning and truly worth every penny. The location is perfect—just a short walk to Saint Mark’s Square with plenty of great dining options nearby. The staff were exceptional, providing outstanding service and making our stay unforgettable. Our room was beautifully designed, and the views from both the bedroom and the bathroom were absolutely top-notch—easily some of the best we’ve experienced. Oh my god… what a wonderful place. A Perfect location. A Wonderful staff. The rooms are Quite comfortable and very well appointed. Bathrooms are lavish. you will not be disappointed. The nearby restaurants are wonderful. Felt like a brand new hotel. I will return!

The hotel is amazing and the staff were great but getting to the hotel can be miserable. It was difficult to find and we couldn’t get into the front door due to flooding (which apparently happens almost every day).

This was the perfect little jewel box for our stay in Venice. The staff provided excellent recommendations and service for our first-ever visit. Our room overlooked a small canal and provided a glimpse of the bell tower in Piazza San Marco. Enjoy the rooftop terrace when you go. The room was cool, pristine and beautifully decorated. We truly enjoyed this private escape in bustling Venice.

Fantastic experience from the start. They found out it was my birthday so within 10 minutes of checking in they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to the room. Then in my actual birthday, they gifted me cookies, a cake & sang happy birthday to me. The view of our room was toward the canal & it was fun watching the gondola’s every day. The breakfast was spectacular & the location was perfect! Would definitely stay here again! 10/10

I am an art historian and have led many art oriented tours to Venice over the years. Hotel Palazzina Sardi was truly "a find" when my husband and I stayed there this past week. The place is a little gem in every way! With only 8 rooms, the excellent staff provides careful attention to each guest, the decor is superb, the location is excellent, and the breakfasts were outstanding.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff, location, property, and amenities were exceptional. We look forward to visiting again!

Hotel Palazzina Sardi was an absolutely beautiful hotel in a perfect location for exploring Venice. The staff was wonderful: answered all of our questions, gave us a map and showed us where to go, and. booked us a dinner at a wonderful little spot just a few minutes away. The room itself was stunning, beautiful view out the window, a comfortable bed, and a big gorgeous bathroom. Hotel Palazzina Sardi also offered the best breakfast of any of the hotels we stayed at while in Italy. This is a must stay!

This is an excellent place to stay and the staff goes above and beyond to help. This was our first time to Venice, they arranged for the water taxi to get us to the hotel and guided us how to get to the hotel. The hotel was recently renovated and the room were new and had all the modern amenities. The hotel is close to St Mark’s square, and also shopping and restaurants are easy to walk to. The staff are fantastic. They surprised us on two occasions with small gifts. They seemed to love the hotel and genuinely enjoyed providing great service. The Hotel is tucked away but near everything. Everything is in impeccable condition.
