Provider-sourced guest reviews.
My wife and I have stayed here three times this year and we will be back many more times. This is a very hip hotel and the staff is great. I highly recommend!
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Flamboyan. Gerardo at the front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. All the staff were great. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and the proximity to the plaza. Many dining and shopping options in the area.
Rooms were very nice looking. Art walk was amazing. Ask about the private beach access which is amazing.
Great location, right in downtown with many dining options around. Pool was great. Room was clean and with everything you need. All staff was very friendly.
Very convenient located
Great location just off the central square. New construction. Pool is cantilevered off the roof.
Location was amazing!
We had a wonderful time, and the Flamboyan was superb. Gorgeous room and accommodations. The staff was top quality, notably Gerardo. The e-bikes we got to use complimentary of the hotel thrilled us. The rooftop pool gives a 360-degree view of the city; it’s as cool as it sounds. The facility was wonderfully clean and comfortable.
This property is beautiful, rooms provide everything needed for a short or long stay. The proximity to Plaza Mijares is unbeatable. Will stay again!
I enjoy the stay. Food was epic
Wonderful stay. Very clean , beautiful, centrally located, parking free
Difficult to park, difficult to check in
Nice place and friendly staff. I would come back again 100%
Beautiful place and so clean! The restaurant was excellent! The only issues for us was the street noise at night and I wish that we had known before staying here that the restaurant was closed on Sunday. Restaurants in hotels should be open 7days per week for hotel guests. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay.
The water pressure was working poorly. I couldn’t use the faucet, shower, and toilet. I was stuck without water several times.
Absolutely loved the Flamboyan! Plenty of space and I was able to cook my own meals while there
Really good value and location. SJD is a bit too clean and simple but very safe and good restaurants
Very nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly
The Flamboyan hotel is a unique hotel with a special artsy vibe, located at the heart of the art center of San Jose del Cabo, everything is walkable and safe. The rooftop terrace and infinity pool are amazing. The personnel is always helpful and pleasant. I will definitely come back.
The restaurant was closed on Mondays and the day we did go to the restaurant it had a limited menu of 3 items. The restaurant needs a chef with a full menu of Mexican food and some North American food
Great location, walking distance to Art Center with bunch of shops, restaurants, very clean rooms and friendly staff . Rooftop pool was also great .
This property is amazing. Beautiful room quiet and so comfortable. All amenities included.
Everything was okay the shower pressure was really bad so I didn’t live my stay I need a good shower
Second time staying at Flamboyan in the last year and I am absolutely blown away with how great the hospitality is and the well kept rooms. Highly recommend this property as it is close to everything you need in San Jose Del Cabo. Walking distance to bars & restaurants. The rooftop pool is such an amazing place to be during the day. Will be back here many more times!
Good location. Well equipped room. Very friendly staff. Loved the free electric bike use. The shower water pressure was not good..at times just a dribble.
Good property if you like it quiet. Pros: - compact hotel with limited capacity - good staff - helpful - location was good and close to grocery store and other supermarkets Cons: - their restaurant closes very early. We came back from the beach and after a long drive around 7:30 pm and the restaurant was not open. - restaurant has an off every Monday (which was a bummer considering its a 4-star property) - their centralized air conditioning does not have a heater. If your room becomes a little chilly (which happens very rarely in Mexico), you’ll have to turn off the air conditioning and wait till the temperature becomes normal. - if you got your own vehicle, you’ll have to par for parking - you’ll be charged for any small thing that goes off the radar (example: our little one accidentally broke a glass and we were charged ~$10 USD for the same).
Clean and newly renovated. Staff very polite
The location was very convenient, right by downtown shopping and dining. The rooftop pool area was nice, the room was clean and modern.
Enjoyed being in the center of town for a few days
This place was stellar, from top to bottom! First off, all of the staff were organically friendly and helpful. Always had an answer and solution for everything. The rooms were modern and superbly clean. Rooftop pool and patio were a great place to enjoy the Mexican heat and sunsets. Location was literally unbeatable. Steps from the square (which you can scope out from the rooftop) and all the chic restaurants in the area. We used their shuttle service to head to the Veleros Beach Club - absolutely worth a day trip! Quite a discount you get for being a hotel guest and the beach club itself was 10/10. I can’t say enough positives about this place - it was a gem! I’d comment on a couple negatives I have read other reviewers mention. Someone commented on the noisy AC. It wasn’t whisper quiet, but by no means disruptive. I also like white noise when I sleep! And, obviously, I can’t speak for every room. Also, there were definitely pool tiles missing, but whatevs. Water was warm (someone said it was cold?!) and the view was outstanding - can’t have it all!
This place was terrific. Great value.
Close to the art district , friendly helpful staff .
The pool is amazing, the rooms are beautifully decorated. The staff extremely friendly. The street noise is there, but you are in the city and with eat plugs you dont gear a thing! Would stay again!
Rooms were beautiful and rooftop was great! There was a big celebration in town so a bit loud (but no fault of hotel). We were able to watch the music at the feria from the rooftop, Glad they had parking-with the celebration it would have been difficult to find a spot anywhere near the hotel. Really nice staff and loved the different flavored water in the lobby each day.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of the square. Great value and space
Equivalent to Ritz Carlton stay! Perfect!! Beautiful rooms.
The hotel was very cleaned, organized, very modern and friendly
This was a great spot ! Great location. Clean and comfortable. Will come again!!
Wonderful hotel to stay at in San Jose Del Cabo old town. Close enough to walk to great restaurants every evening. The hotel is perfect – spacious well equipped room, lovely rooftop pool, great staff and onsite restaurant, top-notch cleanliness, complementary e-bikes … the list goes on :) Will definitely return! Sunset view from our balcony attached.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was big, clean, well equipped and quiet. The pool was nice and location was great. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
Muy buen servicio al cliente!! Cuartos limpios. Cerca de restaurantes. Estacionamiento del hotel incluido. Una linda estancia en este hotel! Recomendado :)
Great hotel and location.
Beautifully modern exterior with uptown updated fixture with a mix of Mexican charm. This multiple level mid rise will take you away with 360 views from the rooftop pool. It is a great location close to shopping and restaurants galore. We were able to experience the fair while we were there. Just a short walk with live music from Gloria! What a great experience!
We stayed a night before leaving SJD last month with two of the kids and loved the location. Located steps away from the town square the hotel is conveniently located to get in and out of town with ease. The staff was great and the hotel itself so well kept. The pool area is beautiful with an amazing view overlooking the hills and town. I've already booked another night when returned to SJD in May :)
Nice newish property, well looked after, great location.
The Flamboyan is a beautiful property, highly recommend! The beds are so soft and fluffy, the staff is truly amazing and helpful (especially Carolina, Jaziomar and Tony in the bar) and the location is perfect - just on the corner of the square. The rooftop pool is lovely (if showing some signs of age) it's a bit chilly during the hot days but absolutely perfect for a sunset dip. We had multiple great meals at the restaurant and the bartenders were all top notch. My friend and I rented the apartment - the pull down bed was a standard queen and there were two full bathrooms. (I will say, one funny thing about the apartment was that including the furniture on the balconies, we had 20 chairs in the place!! Perhaps that was a bit much.) We were located on the street side above reception, and the street noise, as mentioned in other reviews, is very present - but the hotel provides earplugs. There's also a large gap between all windows and curtains - so it can get very bright even with the curtains drawn. If you need absolute quiet and dark to sleep - this may not be the property for you. But if you want a lovely spot and don't mind this small inconvenience, book the Flamoyan immediately!
This hotel is so beautifully designed and decorated in a modern meets traditional Mexican style. It was also extremely clean, and the beds and pillows were very comfy! Alejandra was so nice and she graciously let us check in a bit early, as we were tired from traveling. Jozicmar at the front desk was friendly and helpful as well! Our room was thoughtfully tended to every day by the efficient and kind cleaning staff, and the turn down service with a Mexican cookie or candy was such a delightful little treat! Hibiscus or lime and cucumber aguas frescas were available for free every day in the lobby, and they were super delicious and refreshing. We enjoyed lounging by the pool in the cabanas on the rooftop after a day of walking around the adorable town of San José Del Cabo. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, or get room service, but it looked so chic! Our stay was perfect in every way, and I highly recommend this hotel! One of the best hotel experiences I've had in a while.
Great location. Very clean.
We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony. Our room was clean and so comfortable. The housekeeping staff are top notch! The front desk staff are so freindly and helpful. Your only steps away from the square where theres always something going on! The shoppings great too!
Very nice property and pool
Cool place. Great location.
We love everything about this place. The staff are exceptional, the shopping is a few steps away. If i could give this hotel 10 stars i would!
This beautiful hotel was more than I imagined it would be! Located in a beautiful and safe environment. Friendly staff and neighbors! I felt absolutely comfortable here and I would rather stay at Flamboyan than a fancy resort. I can’t express how much my family and I enjoyed our stay. Cant wait to go back in December
What a beautiful place to stay near the Art District with all galleries, shops and amazing restaurants just an easy stroll from the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and terrace with comfy loungers and the views of the city and mountains.
Great place
Although we had one of the worst sleeps of our life due to the excessive noise, despite using an eye mask and ear plugs, this hotel has it’s charm. The rooftop pool and chairs are lovely. The restaurant in the basement is wonderful. The kitchen in our room was well stocked. Lots of space, drawers to store your stuff. Bathroom was great. Ability to open windows would be awesome, if the noise wasn’t so loud (70db). It was only 50db when we closed the windows, but the intermittent screech from the street, alarms, sirens, the bar below with loud music until 1am all added to almost no sleep. We enjoyed our daytime!
Great location near the Art District. Beautiful rooms, lovely rooftop pool.
Loved the location, walkable to most things we loved and easy access to great food, culture, things to do. Staff was amazing and very accommodating, pool was great and it was clean and modern.
Amazing location right at the square. Everything is walkable. Beautiful rooms and amazing kitchenettes. Huge shower with rainhead and handheld and even double sinks. Tons of drawers and hanging space to unpack your suitcases. Small safe in the closet, table with 2 chairs. Absolutely perfect for a night, a week or even a month. The rooftop pool is fantastic with 360 degree views and tasteful music playing throughout the day. Would definitely return and recommend.
This hotel is pretty new from what I’ve heard. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The location is just off the old town square, so great for being in the heart of things. Beautiful views from the rooftop deck and pool. The only downside about the location is that it’s on a busy main road and a lot of the rooms face the road. Traffic noise didn’t bother me for sleeping (just white noise to me) but if it bothers you, that’s something to keep in mind. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only miss is that apparently hotel guests can get discounts at certain nearby restaurants and businesses but I didn’t learn about that until the night before I left. Overall, I think this was a great choice to be near the Art District and restaurants. As a woman travelling solo I had no concerns about walking around the area day or evening.
Great location for those not interested in beachfront locations. Very walkable. San Jose del Cabo is very touristy. Very difficult to learn about local culture and day to day life. Staff were not engaged and had little concern for customer satisfaction. Made minimal effort to fix errors. Felt very “nickeled and dimed” during the stay.
Beautiful new hotel. We would stay there again. Pool area on the roof very nice and a great view. I told the front desk that the stovetop (estufa) in our room wouldn’t work and a couple of days later I told the girl who cleaned the room that it still didn’t work. She got on her phone right away and told someone but again nothing was fixed. We stayed there for 8 nights and it would have been nice to cook something for a change.
We enjoyed the location in the San Jose Cabo Arts District. Great restaurants and shopping were walkable. The rooftop pool was a nice plus! Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Stayed one night while passing through town and wished we could’ve stayed longer. Boutique style hotel with beautiful decor and comfortable, well appointed rooms. Lovely bathroom with plush towels and wonderful products. Handy kitchen with everything you need for small meal prep. Well located very close to the town square. Didn’t try the restaurant but had a cocktail in the lounge - lovely surroundings but on the pricey side. Would stay again and recommend to others.
Service and location were great.
This hotel is very nice. We enjoyed our room. The housekeepers were excellent. The location is right near the action, ie., the town square..it is active every night, has great food stands, and there is an art walk every Thursday night that is a must. The front desk folks were always helpful, from suggestions of what to see and do to helping me install a sim card...AND free electric bikes for guests to use...simply awesome.
Delightful small hotel with the nicest staff throughout! Shout out to Carolina and Jozimar at the front desk, the cleaning staff, and the bartenders! Perfectly situated off the old town square and in the midst of great galleries and restaurants!
The gentleman who helped us was amazing. He was at the front desk both Feb 14 and 15, helped us with everything from food recommendations to sight seeing and transpo. This a quaint, boutique hotel in a great location with excellent staff and service. Super walkable area with everything at your fingertips and an $18 Uber ride to the airport. My husband and I stayed here after a week-long resort stay and will definitely be back.
The staff were very friendly, approachable and always extended a helping hand when needed, our chamber maid Alejandra was exceptionally meticulous and our room was always clean and tidy, I would especially like to single out the desk clerk/ bell hop/ interpreter/ "Joshi". He definitely made our stay the most enjoyable that it could be as he imparted his knowledge of the area to us in a most courteous and professional manner and was always available to address ALL of our concerns. I would also like to commend him of his use of the English language which made our communication with him very smooth. The restaurant's food is very good and the staff is very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel
Amazing location right at the edge of the gallery district. Clean modern rooms. Note some street noise is unavaoidable. They do provide earplugs though! We slept great.
Walking distance to the center of the town and many beautiful restaurants! The rooftop pool was top notch
Classy cool hotel with great vibe.Perfect location . Friendly attentive staff.Pool on roof top very swanky with view of the square private and quiet.Comfy bed very soft towels great shower. Restuarant on site great food and wine .Next time will upgrade to a larger room.
Beautiful rooftop view! Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
We were disappointed in our stay at Flamboyan. We were given a room on the first floor right next to the restaurant--and on our second night there was a dance party that lasted past midnight with very loud disco/house music. The room was not cleaned while we were there. We tried to change rooms but were told they were sold out and the only other room would have been a downgrade--it was much smaller and overlooked a construction site with music blaring at all hours. Pluses: The pool area on the roof is very nice and the indoor parking was included. Also, the location was quite central, within easy walking distance of the ArtWalk and the historic center.
The hotel is very nice. The front staff checking in was accommodating. However the price was inflated from this site and when we told them the price we got on trip advisor the staff disappeared to talk to the manager who could not match the price and magically the hotel dropped off the trip advisor site. There’s a charge for anything in the room pop, chips, chocolate bars which is 3 x the cost you can buy it right down the street. We paid for an early check in and I drank the coffee that morning. the following morning when I asked for another coffee pack they wanted to charge me for it. There was no room service even thou it says there is, they said they had no kitchen staff that day. The air conditioning was sub par and made noise. Which was fine because the beds are amazing and the cleanliness is a 9.5. Which we appreciated. There was lots of English TV channels and the pool was beautiful!!
We were in Cabo San Lucas for vacation and decided to stay extra 2 nights in San Jose to check it out. Best location possible of all hotels near art district. Walk to tons of restaurants, shops, art festival right there! Hotel very nice. Staff great. Extremely clean. Rooftop pool very cold in January though and smaller than expected but other than that can’t think of anything bad to say. I would recommend to anyone that was looking to stay in that area. More than a night or two for me would be too much in that area, but everyone is different.
The location was perfect. Close to all the restaurants and shops and next-door to the town. Square. The room and staff and building are excellent.
Very clean. Very comfortable. Rooftop pool has incredible views and lots of seating. Pool was not heated. Location is best in town!….....…..........................................................................................
Very nice and clean
We were well taken care of by Jozicmar & Alejandra as well as by the rest of the staff. Great location in centro. Only stayed 4 nights, but kitchenette was well supplied for a longer stay.
Hidden gem! This place is so cozy and close to the square, market and the art show that the plaza has on Thursdays. Great staff that is so friendly and very helpful. 10 out of 10! I will be coming back in June with my kids.
Extremely clean, professional staff. Pool on rooftop has wonderful view. Comfortable beds and nice bar with food options
This hotel is hands down the best hotel with staff that go above and beyond!! I want to highlight Joshi and Gerardo specifically who continuously called and messaged a bar and shuttle company to find my son's switch. The shuttle driver rushed to the airport to bring it to us minutes before we took off to security. We were so shocked and amazed that they tried so hard to help us! Wonderful area for families, beautiful hotel and amazing staff, we want to come back!!
Nice location off the Square in San Jose Del Cabo.Beautiful rooftop swimming pool great sunset view. The the room was very nice, but the location was two floors above the restaurant and bar in the evening the music was wuite loud.Service was astounding! Ahtziri took great care of every detail for us!
We enjoyed the stay in many ways. The staffs were very kind. I would like to come back again and definitely recommend this hotel to the others
Fabulous stay. Room 205 is the one you want! Huge, clean and new. Street noise is noticeable for light sleepers, but we had no issues. Beds were phenomenal in the one bedroom residence. Lots of pillows, had excellent sleep! Hotel staff are excellent and respond promptly to any concerns. Want to specifically call out Gerardo for being awesome! Pool area is incredible with lots of chairs and day beds. Weather is unbelievable. Hot during the day and cool at night, be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket! Restaurant is excellent how we seems to be only open for breakfast most of the time. We loved it here and will definitely be back.
Very easy access to shops, food & art galleries. Comfortable beds and beautiful apartment decor, very roomy.
Great time exploring San Jose on Ebikes provided from the hotel ... very nice
We have stayed at Flamboyan Hotel & Residences on two occasions and have plans to stay there again. The facility is well-equipped and impeccably clean. The owners and staff have paid a lot of attention to small details and we have enjoyed our time spent there.
Quiet with nice staff.
Great location, friendly staff. Excellent rooftop pool.
It’s the second time I stay here and I love it. Traveling with kids. And family we had the 8 person room it was great.
Amazing stay, wish we had spent more than one night! Walkable to everything in the heart of San Jose del Cabo! Thoughtfully decorated rooms, very clean, friendly staff and amazing rooftop pool with views for days!
Amazing pool very close to art district and great restaurants
Starting at check-in the people and the property have been wonderful. Easy parking, early check-in, great location, very helpful staff and beautiful rooms. The rooftop pool is an inexpected bonus..
Property is new, modern and in a great location. Arrived at 1:45 for a 3pm checkin and was told to return at 3 as there was no room ready. Property seemed empty. When I did check in, my room had a welcome letter indicated as an Expedia VIP they offer early check in. Makes no sense. You can hear lots off street noise at night from the room
This modern hotel has a perfect location to San Jose del Cabo plaza with numerous dining, shopping and art galleries! Their staff and roof top pool were exceptional. Definitely recommend and will return soon!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were modern and clean. Electric bikes were available to explore the area for free. Loved being so close to the Art District. Everything literally within walking distance including great places to eat and lots of shopping. Didn't have a meal at the restaurant, but it too was very clean and modern and the staff there were also amazing.
Great place to stay but ask for a room away from the nightclub and please be sure to refill the coffee every morning
