The staff put us in the wrong room. After 10 minutes, she came back up and moved us to a different and worse room. Also, there is a lot of noise in the mornings which makes it difficult to sleep in. Lock on the door was a bit tricky, we usually just leave it unlocked. The room was not completely clean, some dirt in the corners.

Too much noise! Loud music even on Sunday morning. They are also doing some renovation and have started working early at morning every day. Impossible for us to have the rest we needed. We were missing a fridge in the room. And hangers. We have just found 3 in a room for 2 people, for 3 nights.

Sin conexión a internet y ni acceso a la TV y nadie resolvió nada en los 3 días de mi estancia Nadie realizó el aseo ni sacó la basura ni pusieron más agua siquiera Todas las toallas con olor desagradable a humedad, tampoco el jabón de manos ni el shampoo tenía olor agradable, mal olor de las almohadas a sucio, tuve que rociarles perfume Aire acondicionado que no enfría (probablemente por filtros sucios) Cabeceras de las camas sucias (polvo acumulado) Piso de madera sumamente ruidoso Servicio del restaurante excesivamente lento, comida fría y sabor no tan bueno, caro y de mal modo, buenos para pedir la propina eso si

There were minor issues that were somewhat inconvenient but nothing that couldn't be resolved without speaking with the staff.

Reviewed Sep 27, 2025Casa Maka is well located in SLP. Staff is friendly but not very helpful. The place is clean but they have a problem with bed linens. There is a nice cafe next door but the restaurant was very noisy during the day and late night. My room did not have a safe, telephone.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2025El hotel es una casona antigua ubicado en el centro histórico de SLP. La habitación es amplia, de buen gusto en diseño. Las camas cómodas y baños muy limpios. Tiene todas las conexiones pertinentes para trabajar a distancia. Mi cuarto estaba en el 2 piso. El diseño de la casa es muy bonito. Abajo se encuentra el bar y restaurante. La comida del restaurante es muy buena y generosa. Me gustó mucho quedarme en este hotel, porque también su personal es atento y servicial. El estacionamiento está a muy pocos pasos. Definitivamente lo recomiendo para aquellos que gozan hospedarse en centro de la ciudad. Les va a gustar!

Reviewed May 15, 2024Visito seguido San Luis Potosí y sin duda nunca me habia quedado en un lugar tan original y único como casa Maka, por detalles como la arquitectura y decoración del lugar, el servicio del personal y tener bajando las escaleras restaurantes y un lugar donde tomar algo agusto en pareja. La ubicación inmejorable cerca de todos los lugares que valen la pena en el centro histórico.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2024Lo recomiendo ampliamente, un hotel boutique que cuida todos los detalles, el diseño de las habitaciónes es increible, las camas estan super comodas y tiene una ubicacion privilegiada justo en el corazon del centro historico. Se ve que intentaron cuidar cada detalle arquitectonico y abajo tienen una barra de coctelería con unos tragos excelentes! 10/10

Reviewed Feb 5, 2024Hotel is in great location but since the dining room is directly under the rooms the noise is pretty loud. Towards the weekend the music did not stop until after 11:00 PM. Thankfully I had earplugs but I could see feel the music. Water had to run for over a minute or two to get hot water. All that wasted water is not very eco-friendly.

Reviewed Jan 25, 2024The location is great; it´s right in the heart of the historic center of SLP; the rooms are very comfy and beautiful, it has a lot of variety of food in the "mercadito" area; the staff is really nice; and the overall concept of the historic house being remodeled to become a small boutique hotel, maintaining its original architecture and the mixed with a more modern concept is just amazing.
It has an amazing stay, there wasn´t something I didn´t like about my stay.

Reviewed Dec 28, 2023Super clean and super charming hotel! All staff members were friendly. Streets are narrow for driving in the downtown area. Walking becomes the best option to move around. There are so many plazas, colonial buildings restaurants, shops, etc, that it was helpful to find this great hotel so well located. Rooms have heaters which is not mentioned in the amenities but made our stay comfortable.
