Pretty good place for the price, short walk to the beach/shopes area. The upstairs pool area is nice
Friendly staff and nice and clean. Good pool area but a little small and hard to get one of the lounges ( travelling in late April)… Biggest grip for me in my private room was there was only a very small window… making better than some others in Mexico, but not great for me personally.
Nice.
Really great staff! And overall nice vibe. Pool was dirty though, and building needs some maintenance.
Thanks I like so much
Pictures are misleading. Room was dirty, couch was covered in stains, didn’t feel comfortable staying here so we asked for a refund to leave. Could not get a refund so we just left. Do not recommend.
I loved the staff and the property.
Chafon
Cleaning socks
It was okay - the bird poop on the balcony made it complete unuseable lol
it was no hot water there and the towels were dirty. Did not like it due to that.
Excellent location! Friendly staff! Overall quiet being away from square … one night was exceptionally loud at property until 11pm that not even plugs could fix but for a hostel it was to be expected and still MUCH quieter than the norm. I had hoped to take part in activities but I found those were harder to find meet ups etc. for example I was told at check in yoga was 8am and 9am, I opted for the sleep in my first morning but when I went to roof there was no yoga for 9am and I missed it … same with power hour, no one there … which was fine because I was just as happy flying solo.
Very noisy on the morning and where is thinking bathroom And lots of goofy rules Lots of broken stuff
Loved the place
.
I loved the feel of family!
The pool could be a little cleaner but over all a good stay. The lattes from the café at the front were great.
The room was very spacious and Clean, friendly staff and it's not in the center so it's much more quieter.
Hotel was great for the price we pay. Near the centro of Sayulita, beaches, many restaurant and cafe arround. Terrasse on the top, bar and pool.
Great amenities and vue! Good yoga and sur classes. The location is also relatively good. The only negative point in my opinion was the cleanliness of the bathroom and the curtain next to my bed was extremely disgusting. I was just unlucky for the curtain. I would stull recommend the place though
The worse experience, I left days early of my reservation due to the experience I was there. No AC is only on at night start at 8:00-8:30 pm until 10 am , no paper toilet during the stay for 7 day. Terrible service with rude people at the from child name is Ileana or elany something like that she does know how to speak with a customer. I can keep saying thing but the list is long.
Second time staying at the Hotel, nice location, but room maintenance was lacking. The shower head was broken and surfaces weren’t very clean. With a little more attention to these details, it could be a great place to stay. Hopefully they don’t let this place go down on quality.
Wonderful people and excellent vibes
Small hostel within walking distance to the beaches, restaurants, shops. Super nice staff. Great amenities. Satisfactory bedding.
Beautiful property, modern room, staff was well trained
The property was amazing and the dorm rooms offered some privacy too! The area around the hostel is great and offers a lot of dining options. The hostel offered a lot of activities and they were great!! Especially lorena did a great job during my stay and was so much fun! I loved her activities and she entertained us a lot! It was a great time
Had an amazing time at Casa Pepe. The place was great, it was a big property which had many areas where u can sit and enjoy. Also has an office area so you can work. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.
All in all I had a great stay here in a private room and would certainly come back again! I made a ton of wonderful friends and power hour is a perfect reason to mingle with new people each night. The location is perfect and an easy walk to the beach. It isn't too loud at night around this area unless your room faces the road, which mine did, but event still it wasn't too bad. The rooftop facilities are a great place to relax. Generally, all of the staff were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Cons: I booked this room with the assumption that a small fridge would be provided in the room, as shown in the pictures and in the Expedia AD but there wasn't one available. My room was also never cleaned even though I made a note for this service on one of my days. Hot water is also hard to come by for showers but isn't a deal breaker. Rooms are a little tired from use but still in good condition for the price. * There isn't much a communal kitchen here, so be warned if you plan to store and make food here. Not an issue for myself but i know other guests had issues with this. * Wouldn't be a bad idea to have water stations more available as well and ensure the bottles are refilled for guests since the local water is not ideal for drinking.
This property is amazing!! I had a king room that was huge and super clean! The property is spotless and the staff is lovely! I didn’t eat on the property so I can’t comment on that. The location is about 3 minutes from the beach and super central. The streets surrounding the property are cobble stone so if you have mobility issues this may not be a good location for you. Overall, it was an amazing stay and I’ll be back.
I am in my mid 40s and was a bit hesitant about staying at a hostel! As a solo female traveller I feel safe at all times, private in the little sleeping nook, and loved spending time on the rooftop patio :) Casa Pepe had everything I needed as a home base to explore Sayulita and surrounding area. Sidenote, there is quite a bit of party action, although it shuts down at the hostel by 11, the town itself continues long into the night! So bring earplugs :)
Great location, great staff... unfortunately the property itself didn't really meet expectations. The TV in our room didn't work (okay, small thing), but then neither did the hot water! We could get 20 - 30 seconds of a hot shower if we were lucky, and that's kind of a big one. On the second morning of our stay the included breakfast included moldy bread, and after that we skipped breakfasts at Casa Pepe. Next time in Sayulita we'll try somewhere else.
Made many friends! Always felt welcome and was close to all the places I wanted to go!
We thought this was in puerto Bayarta when we first booked it because that’s what it advertised but it turns out it was actually an hour away. That area is very safe a lot of things to do there, everyone in the area is nice and helpful when looking for good spots to eat every thing is within walking distance
The staff at Casa Pepe were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable despite my cranky back. I slept well and enjoyed getting to know fellow solo travelers.
Beautiful room and pool space. Decorated very nicely and great price for what you get. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. Favourite part was the pool. Only feedback is that the safe did not work, the patio doors did not lock, and the air conditioner was always leaking (it got all over our clothes). However, the hotel felt super safe. Also please note that there is construction across the street which made it very loud! They also play music from 3pm to 11pm. We didn't mind it and Sayulita is generally a pretty loud/busy place! Overall rating would be 7/10.
Absolutely lovely!
Casa Pepe is a nice property in a great location. The bar staff at the pool were amazing and the younger aged guests made it a really fun time. Our room did have a leak in the air conditioner or ceiling as our bag and clothes ended up getting soaked when we woke up in the morning. Our stay also included a complementary breakfast however when we were done breakfast the staff gave us a bill. When we reminded them about the free breakfast they told us only one item on the menu was free. This was never explained to us when we sat down when we told the server that our breakfast was included. The staff was rude to us and told us we needed to pay. Then upon checking out they accused us of stealing the air conditioning remote. It was disappointing to leave on such a bad note. We felt like they were trying to get every last peso they could from us on our way out the door. They also ignored the fact that our clothes and bag were soaked from their leaking ceiling when we told them about it.
This was my first solo vacation. From the moment I stepped in to the lobby, I was welcomed by the staff in particular Maddie! She invited me to all of the activities but didn’t pressure me. She was incredibly kind and checked on me every time we crossed paths. I stayed in a private room, was super clean and felt safe. I will definitely be back!
Great Rooms !!
Female dorms were spacious, half occupied and cleaned well. The staff are friendly and take time and effort to plan activities.
Good, clean and convenient, the only problem is that they don’t have parking
Was pleasantly surprised as this place was better than I expected- spacious room and bathroom, quiet at night, clean, great staff and also had basics like a bottle of water, shampoo/conditioner, towels, ironing board and blow dryer. I’d stay here again!
The staff is super nice
Amazing staff and relaxed atmosphere. Bring earplugs!
Great accommodations on the cutest little town! Would definitely come back again!
Great place to stay in Sayulita, very affordable and the staff and the whole experience was great!
The Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and spacious, drinks were cheap and breakfast was ok. Even when we went for bussines he enjoied being at the hotel
I stayed for 3 weeks at Casa Pepe during soft in November 2023. The hotel/hostel is beautiful - including cowork, pool and other shared spaces. Staff was really nice, including Pepe itself. Breakfast was good, they were improving every day. They have a Whatsapp group for guests and organised activities daily if you wish to meet other guests. 5 minutes walk to the main square and to the beach.
Casa Pepe was my first experience staying in a hostel. I definitely had a great experience! The location was perfect, everything was near by and walking distance. I will be back on my next adventure to Sayulita!
Our room was much better than expected. Loved the location and scored because prior guest left their Netflix loaded on the TV. Breakfast was the same everyday so that can improve. Only negative was music blasting on roof top bar a few nights till 5am with Knowone there. Staff was wonderful and will return.
Nice place to stay, within walking distance to the main market streets and beach.
I had a king suite room - it was huge. The room had a king bed, seating area, counter with coffee maker and space to work (will also have a fridge) and very large bathroom. Great lighting in the room, AC and ceiling fan. Private seating area outside as well. The property is still under construction but they are respectful to the guests and it's not "ongoing all the time" and I didn't hear any noise in my room. The rooftop bar area, pool and yoga studio are very nice. The whole place has a jungle feel about it with all the natural wood elements. Free breakfast was an added bonus. Staff were welcoming and informative. I was able to store my bag until it was time for my flight. I had a very restful and comfortable stay. Added bonus - bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, soap, iron, ironing board, blowdryer, safe, bathrobes and magnifing makeup mirror. Coffee maker (no coffee or condiments) cups, water and glasses and TV. WiFi was good in the room - I was able to work using the counter as a stand up desk and there were several outlets for charging electronics. The room also had a door that would allow for ajoining rooms.
Very spacious , very helpful staff and an excellent complimentary breakfast.
Checked in 10/31 we didnt get housekeeping service untill Saturday 11/4. House keeper then explained they had just put in place a new system for housekeeping service. A system that was not explained at check in.
A lot of construction going on around it
