The room is soooo tight. Not welcoming. I thought I would collapse. Slept for 2 hours because it wasn't comfortable at all. The bed was itchy, and I could hear the busy couple next room.

La chambre était propre dans l’ensemble, plutôt bien équipée, les draps étaient doux, c’était mignon :) franchement bien située, le petit bar juste en dessous fait du super bon poulet frit.

L’humidité de la salle de bain a du mal à s’évacuer et donc ça laisse une odeur d’humidité dans la chambre si on oublie de fermer la porte. C’est sombre. Mais en vrai pour la localisation c’était difficile de faire mieux à ce prix :)

La ubicación está bien. A pesar de haber muchos bares, la habitación era tranquila. Hay neverita pequeña, un microondas en la cocina y la lavadora con la secadora. El baño renovado.

No se por donde empezar... La limpieza es nula. Encontramos comida en la nevera del huésped anterior. Hay dos Tv y ninguno funcionaba. Ni te molestes enviarles mensajes por booking, porque ni te contestan. Nunca vi el persinal de limpieza en le edificio. Tampoco hay personal en el edificio. Por no obtener ninguna respuesta del dueño por mensaje sobre la queja del aire acondicionado y tv, teníamos que arreglar la tv para poder verla. Hay aire acondicionado pero es apestoso al encenderlo. Y estaba sucio por dentro. La decoración en las fotos se ve mejor que en vivo. No te limpia el cuarto durante la estancia, pero tampoco facilitan algo para limpiar por ti mismo. Había una aspiradora, pero no funcionaba. Entonces me pregunto si el equipo aspira la habitación y limpia el suelo antes de entregarla al nuevo inquilino. Puede que para 1noche está bien, pero para más se hace difícil. No volvería a alojarme ahí.

There was constant music playing from the adjacent room throughout the night. Wrote messages after messages on booking.com chat (from 1:20 AM to last message at 8 in the morning) with the hotel, no response. Looks like the staff is not active in the night, and it's 9:16 AM now, still no response from the hotel (I have checked out btw, since it's self check in and checkout). Requested the person in the next room to keep it down, he gave me a thumbs up. Maybe according to him, he decreased the volume, but at an absolute level it was still high. Had to put white noise on YouTube so that I get a few hours sleep at least.

Die Fenster waren klein und nicht gegen Lärm geschützt. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr hellhörig. Aus dem Badezimmer kam sehr starker Kanalisationsgestank, ebenso hatte es Schimmel. Der Kühlschrank lärmte die ganze nacht. Auf unsere Kontaktaufnahme zur Bemängelung der Umstände wurde nicht reagiert.

The place was very clean, well-decorated, and had a cozy aesthetic. The layout was efficient, and it felt comfortable for the entire stay. The location in Seoul was also convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and transportation.

Honestly, not much to complain about. The space is a bit compact, but that’s pretty typical and didn’t affect the overall experience.

I had a fantastic stay at Sindang 8 Motel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul. Here are the 5 things that made my stay exceptional: Perfect Location: It is located just a few minutes' walk from the subway station, making it incredibly easy to explore major attractions like Dongdaemun and Myeongdong. Impeccable Cleanliness: The room was spotless upon arrival. It’s clear that the management takes hygiene very seriously, which made me feel very comfortable. Modern Amenities: I was impressed by the high-quality PC and the large flat-screen TV in the room. It was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Friendly Service: The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Despite the language barrier, they went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. Plus, it is right near the famous Sindang-dong Tteokbokki Town and various local eateries. Exceptional Value for Money: For its budget-friendly price, the quality of stay exceeds expectations. It is perfect for travelers who want to save on accommodation without compromising on essential comforts. Cleanliness & Amenities: The rooms are remarkably clean and well-maintained. I was impressed by the fresh bedding and the modern, clutter-free interior. They provide all the essentials, including a strong Wi-Fi connection, toiletries, and even a large bathtub in some rooms for a relaxing soak. Convenience: The self-check-in process is seamless and quick, and there are convenience stores (like 7-Eleven) and local supermarkets just around the corner. Overall, it’s a cozy, safe, and highly efficient place for both solo travelers and couples. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Seoul!

The location was okay, the space in the room and the bathroom was enough for me and my luggage and the decoration of the room was cute. There was a hair dryer, towels, shampoo, and body shower. As well as a tv, a small fridge and a table. There are many restaurants and bars nearby.

The pillows and the sheets were not clean. They didn’t smell bad bad but they were definitely not washed or replaced between the previous guests and me.

We arrived a little early and the place is the kind where they send you the code at the set time of the check-in, in our case it was 4 pm. So I found the phone number and texted the owner and he lets us put our luggage in the vicinity, which was nice. The place was in an excellent location and the rooms were exactly as pictured. They put every tool in the room including multiple electric dividers and even mobile charger with cable included, which came in very handy. The shampoo and condtioners in the bathroom were from a good brand and not generic like most places. The place was neat and excellent value for money!

The bathroom had a few bugs and drain flies when we first got in, the wifi just wouldn't turn on for our room, there was a weird smell to our room, and the walls were so thin that our neighbors kept waking us up around 4-5am. They also offer you a free $10 Starbucks gift card if you leave a 10/10 review for them which is why it's rated so highly.

Unfortunately, the room was not clean, and the linen and towels were visibly dirty. Sleeping under those conditions was uncomfortable, and I had to leave early after a restless night. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation.

Shower had good pressure. Fridge was a plus. Hairdryer also.

Wasn’t very clean behind bed and shower/toilet. Very dusty on TV which didn’t even work. Small room for two people and bagage. Only one small duvet and small bed for 2 friends. No natural light. Very dark, and lights very bright in the evening.

The bathroom was a little rough and could have been more clean. I didn’t like that the host was not super responsive and I had to message them for the code. I wish that the inside door also had a lock on it.

• The place was extremely dirty — it looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. • The bed was uncomfortable, with a noisy plastic cover that trapped heat and made sleeping unpleasant. • I reported that the AC wasn’t working properly (set at 18°C, still very warm even after hours), but the host insisted it was fine and didn’t help. • The shower drain was clogged, so water pooled all over the bathroom floor — I mentioned it, but nothing was done. • Early check-in was absurdly overpriced: $10 per hour, even for just one hour.

Steep stairs, not clean at all – they didn't even bother cleaning the mirror and it was just filled with toothpaste stains, the shower drains were horrendous and it would take an hour to clear the water from the floor, especially considering there is no separation between shower and toilet, it would often happen where I won't be able to access the toilet because the water does not drain. Sheets were also relatively dirty

The ambiance and boarders were making lot of noise in late night. Most of them were drunkards in the alley. Toilet room was smelling all night. The room looks trickily attractive and arranged but absolutely worthless when spending 15Man KRW. Bed Sheets/ pillow covers were not fresh.

Good value for price. The location was great with many restaurants, 7-11, and bus stops nearby. The room was small but cozy, and the heated mattress cover was nice in the winter weather. The room had a fridge and a kettle which was convenient. I had to ask for the door code before check in, but I got a timely reply. I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor - beware there is no elevator so you need to bring up your own luggage, as there is no staff on site.

The staff were not always responsive. Not clean - I found a hair on the bed and the toilet had urine all over the seat, so I had to clean the room myself. It is in a noisy neighbourhood with bars next door, so you cannot leave the window open for sunlight in the morning when you go to sleep.

I always stay in budget hotels and this one was perhaps the worst I’ve seen. The pictures are completely misleading. The “room” we stayed in was more of a shack piled on top of the neighboring roof, and was legitimately dangerous to get to, especially at night while it was snowing and with our bags. The stench emanating from the bathroom was of raw sewage, and smelled so strongly in the room it was hard to sleep. The bed is terribly uncomfortable- you can feel each individual spring. The floor is three different heights, including a step just outside the bathroom that makes exiting dangerous at night. The tiny radiator is inadequate to provide heat and the host provided a single thin blanket. There is enough room for one person, perhaps but not two people with luggage.

There is massive work on the ground floor, we were waking up by drilling machines at 7:30... The first day, we woke up without electricity. The manager only came mid afternoon to fix it.. the accommodation is located in a very noisy street and we could hear absolutely everything even with the window closed.. I would not recommend to stay there

TERIBBLY DISASTROUS FRAUDULENT PLACE. The photos shown are all from good lighting and deceptive. In truth, it was actually in the slums of the slums, with food waste trash bags lying around in front of the motel and around, very steep staircase not listed anywhere or mentioned with no escalator or lift, and so we had to carry heavy luggages dangerously with wet feet from the rain, up the stairs by ourselves since it turned out to be a self check-in motel. Not only that, they did not mention anywhere in the hotel site or on naver map about the hideous, extremely hazardous and life threatening way to go to the room was. It was down this steep staircase which is covered with slippery slimy surface from the mould/moss formed overtime. It was heavy raining that day so carrying the luggages with an elderly trying to get inside the room was just treacherous!! But after getting inside, we got to see a super small space room that is half the size of what was shown in photos, and the bed was sunken, and the toilet didnt have a lid on the water storing area, the shower area was just a few steps space from the toilet bowl and extremely inconvenient. The room itself was certainly narrow and couldn't move around freely due to the space. In short, it was a backpacking motel in the slums of slums. We tried to contact with the property via call, message, emails but no helpful information returned but feels like an automated answering machine. At first we replied to their email the way they requested us to about the room change since the treacherous slimy slippery staircade was just a no with an elderly person, however even after 2hours they didn't reply to the text or email.

Comfy room with enough space for two people. The motel is located close to subway lines and restaurants. I really recommend this accommodation!!
