Me and my partner have truly enjoyed our stay at Casa do Santo. Upon arrival we were already warmly greeted by the staff with a glass of wine, this already sett the mood for a wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The setting is amazing, a great view and calm location, really perfect to feel at peace. It was also a pleasure to try a bottle of their own wine. Breakfast was of great quality!

Nothing major but the breakfast was identical for all our nights, a little more variation might help to improve the experience even more. The dinner you could order on location was great but in our opinion a little pricey for what you received.

The place looks wonderful. The pool has a great view. The rooms were looking amazing, feeling quite new with air conditioning. The manager of the place was super kind, i was a little afraid of a dog so she kept it away from me and i felt really taken care of. I highly recommend their red wine, it was gorgeous!

Even though the place was great, the bed and pillows were not comfortable. I am not saying that it is their fault, as this is personal, but I just did not get proper sleep.

Everything was excellent. The service was warm and attentive, the views were absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the room was very comfortable and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay.

Le diner était basique et décevant au regard du prix (180 € pour 4 dont le vin..) et du standing du lieu.

We had a lovely stay, the property is absolutely gorgeous, built amongst the vines with sweeping views across the Douro valley. Every day they cook a meal option on site, nothing fancy but tasty and enjoyed with their own wines sat outside on the terrace. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, and everyone is so friendly and helpful.

De kamer was prima en mooi uitzicht. Het domein is in werkelijkheid veel kleiner dan op internet. Een eitje mag aangeboden worden bij het vrij sober ontbijt.

Cet hébergement se démarque par son charme, son calme, par la gentillesse des équipes et par le confort des chambres. Il faut également souligner la vue incroyable depuis la piscine et le petit déjeuner très complet.

Very nice hotel with amazing views, nice pool and all facilities. Special thanks to Maria and her team for hospitality and our comfort.

The location was excellent, the facility was very comfortable very appealing, the staff was very attentive and courteous and the personal touch from the owner and administrator made it that much more fulfilling.

Absolutely beautiful setting. Location was stunning. Very comfortable room and bed, very clean. Pool and views were amazing! Very friendly and approachable staff Greeted with a glass of wine, honesty bar for wine and water is a great touch and breakfast is perfect. We also chose to have a picnic which was lovely. Location recommendation of wine tasting was fantastic and dinner recommendation we couldn’t flaw.

Just a couple added touches for suggestions- small fridge in the room and a full size mirror would be an added bonus

Karakteristiek gebouw, pal aan de wijngaarden, en met een schitterend uitzicht over de heuvels van de Douro regio. Een plekje om tot rust te komen. In het dorp starten meerdere wandelingen, de wandeling naar het dal is ca 5 km en fantastisch! Het ontbijt was prima, het diner viel ons wat tegen, ook gezien de prijs.

Het bed vonden wij niet erg comfortabel.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We felt very welcomed, had a lovely wine tasting session, the accommodation and the scenery are beautiful. We would love to come back!

Nothing to mention regarding the accommodation. Perhaps to mention that it is mostly accessible by car and not easy to reach with other means of transport - but we knew this before, so not really a criticism, just an FYI :)

Het eten was heerlijk. De hostess en de bediening waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Fijn zwembad. Hele mooie omgeving.

We misten een tafeltje oid. in onze kamer. Je kon nergens even iets neerleggen.

Our stay at Caso do Santo was wonderful. A beautiful location with amazing views. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and sitting on the balcony in the early evening as the sun went down was great. Maria was a brilliant host who was always there to answer questions or provide information on where to visit. Delicious breakfast too.

Everything at Casa do Santo is excellent. Location, room, service and people are all first class and you could not wish for more. Maria is always there to help and her staff are very diligent.

A lovely holiday accommodation project developed by a young entrepreneur (lady). Peaceful (apart from the neighbours’ dog barking at times during the night), superb views, spacious room with a decent-sized balcony

There’s really nothing negative to mention, except perhaps the fact that if there are several people eating at Casa de Santo in the evening, some may be eating near the pool whilst others are still swimming there

Casa do Santo is beautiful and I loved being in the little village of Provesende!

The walls between the rooms could use more soundproofing but everyone was quiet and respectful of other guests

Caso do Santo is a family owned and run winery and inn. The “touch” is therefore attentive and personal and executed with pride. Maria ably runs the hospitality side and is “on hand”. The aspect of vineyards is sensational and the historic village, picturesque and enchanting. There is a “ quirky” bar with a collection of farm tools etc. and a bakery, established in 1940 from which the delicious, crusty bread is supplied at breakfast. Delicious, simple, fresh food and an excellent breakfast. Spacious room (we had a balcony) and excellent hanging and storage space. Good, stylish and practical modern design. Excellent hot water and pressure.

Nothing! However access to the upper bedrooms is up a steep wooden staircase. There are 6-7 rooms so the menu is kept simple.

Het is een prachtige locatie en wordt gehost door een hele attente familie. Goede tips over wat te doen in de omgeving, waaronder een wijnproeverij bij casa do cume in de buurt. Deze was erg leuk en kleinschalig! We komen zeker terug als we in de buurt zijn.

המלון הינו מלון משפחתי . בעבר היה ייקב משפחתי ששופץ למלון. קיבלה את פנינו מריה הבת בחום. עם הרבה הסברים שהוסיפו לנו להיכרות עם האזור. המלון בכפר גבוה אחד מ6 כפרי יין באיזור. נוף מהממם של הכרמים. החדר נוח עם מקלחת מעולה. נקי ונעים. ארוחת בוקר טובה ופשוטה. ישבריכת שחייה. כשהיינו במאי היה קר אך היו שהתרחצו. יש אפשרות לאאוחת ערב שמכינה כריסטינה. אנחנו אכלנו 2 ארוחות ערב ביתיות ומצויינות. האוירה המשפחתית החום עושים את השהייה לחוויה. אנחנו גם עשינו טרק ירידה מהכפר לפינאו כשאיזבלה האם ומריה הסבירו לנו בדיוק את המסלול .

חסר מיני בר ואפשרות להכין קפה בחדר.

Die ruhige Lage in den Weinbergen und der Pool mit Aussicht. Ist dafür natürlich weit vom Schuss, aber das will man ja.

A beautiful gem in such an interesting historic &, peaceful town. The property and rooms themselves were clean, modern & comfortable with some of the history of the house preserved. The hosts were accommodating and we were thrilled to have homely meals for dinner & breakfast. Wish we were here longer than a night

The walls of the rooms seemed quite thin, as we were able to hear other guests and the neighbouring dog barking.

Very quaint village, perfect for a laid back vacation. Casa do Santo is beautiful inside and the views are spectacular. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something off the beaten path

Our bed in our room was very hard. I woke up sore both mornings.

La Casa do Santo est un très beau bâtiment rénové avec goût. Les chambres sont grandes et la literie très bonne. Le village se trouve à 15mn de Pinhao et la route pour y aller est magnifique (bien plus que la fameuse N222). Si vous voulez éviter de reprendre la voiture le soir, un dîner simple est proposé.

S’il faut vraiment trouver quelque chose, on peut dire que l’insonorisation des chambres pourrait être meilleure.

The location of the property is exceptional with views across the Douro valley . The quality of the rooms is also superb . The staff were friendly , helpful and very efficient.

Hello. Stunning property located in a lovely village where life is slowed down. Beautiful views of the terraces that make the Douro famous. Loved waking up to birds chirping and church bells ringing.

Tudo na propriedade era maravilhoso. A aldeia é histórica e super bem conservada, o hotel fica em um casarão histórico restaurado, com uma vista maravilhosa e um ambiente muito agradável e acolhedor.

Ein Traum im Douro-Tal! Das historische Gebäude beeindruckt mit moderner Eleganz, unser Zimmer war wunderschön und komfortabel. Super freundliches Personal und traumhafte Lage inmitten der Rebhänge. Absolut empfehlenswert! Eine kleine Kaffeemaschine im Aufenthaltsraum würde den Morgenkaffee zum perfekten Start machen.

It was a perfect oasis after a challenging drive. The staff was outstanding and the facilities were perfect for us. We were given suggestions as to what to do while there and the in house food was excellent.

Interesting location on the edge of the village. Beautiful views of the vineyards and an excellent breakfast. We also did two of the dinners which were good but pricey.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa do Santo. The team could not have been more helpful, they arranged us taxis, wine tastings, food. The views are incredible and we loved the little town that the hotel was in.

Beautiful property, modern design, attention to detail makes it immaculately sophisticated. Cosy and scenic. We loved location in small town of Provesende with a trail leading through wineyards to Pinhao. Sleeping quality and room amenities are great. Good breakfast. Super wide beds. Hidden gem.

A beautiful property with spectacular views of the valley. The hospitality from Maria and her family and staff was outstanding! Highly recommend!

Ro, fuglesang, panorama udsigten, poolen og det fantastiske personale, var alt sammen med til at forskønne vores ophold. Vi brugte stedet som base for vandreture i området, og det er smukke oplevelser der står i kø her i bjergene. Maria havde stor viden om oplevelser vi kunne få og var behjælpelig med booking. Stedet er virkelig smukt restaureret og fremstår som en unik og autentisk perle. Vi følte os hjemme fra første øjeblik.

The accommodation looks over vineyards, there is a pool to sit by or a shared living room, plus your own balcony. Maria offered us wine or another drink on arrival. There was fresh cake, walnuts and biscuits you were able to nibble on anytime. Breakfast was nice, with sufficient choice - cereal, bread and toppings, toast, croissants, cake, fruit, yoghurt, Portuguese tarts etc. Dinner is supplied on request, and we sat at tables for 2 being waited on by the staff. The village is tiny, there is only one bar, but we loved the peace and quiet.

The view was breathtaking, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and well decorated. Great breakfast too. Will come back again!

Tout ici invite au calme et au bien-être car le lieu est magique: vue magnifique depuis la chambre sur les vignes de la propriété, vue magnifique depuis la piscine sur les montagnes et les vignobles, décoration des chambres et des pièces communes extrêmement soignée, à la fois authentique et moderne. Lit très très grand et confortable ! Petit déjeuner excellent et copieux. Hôtes très accueillants et réactifs pour des conseils, réservations de restaurants, etc ... Petit restaurant typique à 1mn à pied dans le petit village (qui est charmant) à tester absolument! Bref on recommande fortement cet hébergement !

Extrem schöne Lage, mitten in den Weinbergen - man hat nicht das Gefühl dass man in einem Hotel ist, sondern in einem wirklich schön und liebevoll eingerichtetem Wohnzimmer mit unbezahlbarer Aussicht sitzt. Die Besitzerin ist extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend, unterstützt in jeglicher Hinsicht, macht super Port Tonics, Frühstück war sehr gut, und es gibt auch die Möglichkeit nach Vorankündigung ein Abendessen zu erhalten. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!!

Es gibt hier wirklich nichts zu bemängeln.

Quiet location in the hills of Douro valley overlooking the vineyards, great place to relax and just sit by the pool.

Instructions on how to get in after hours, thankfully they saw us at the gate but had they not, not sure how we would’ve got by the main gate.

Alojamento acolhedor e muito tranquilo, com vistas amplas e desafogadas que convidam a respirar e descansar. Um espaço perfeito para recarregar energias, com uma herança histórica fascinante que torna a estadia ainda mais especial.

La situation avec vue exceptionnelle, le souper dans le petit restaurant du village recommandé par l'hôtel

La piscine est petite étant donné que la seconde marche est une plateforme de presque 2m ce qui réduit fortement l'espace de nage. Chambre n°3 pas top. Petit déjeuner pas très original. Accès difficile pour personnes moins mobiles. Préférez les 2 chambres du rez-de-chaussée

The acommodation is beautiful, looking out across the Duoro Valley. The wine, food and staff were all lovely. We would reccomend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
