This was the worst experience during my stay in Vietnam. I had some trouble during the hotel check-out process, and unfortunately, the staff did not provide enough support or assistance at that moment. Because of that, I felt really concerned and disappointed, and my whole day turned blue. It was an experience I would not want to repeat again.

Location was perfect, hidden away just enough that you don’t hear any noise at night yet very close to all the action

The power went out multiple times which made the wifi very unreliable

Great place to stay away from all the heavy traffic and noise. Daily house cleaning and friendly staff.

The bed could be a little bit softer but if you like firm bed, this is the spot. It’s not a complaint from me as I will still come back.

Very clean room and helpful staff!

I really like the super clean, nicely decorated, and good facility room. Everything in there seems to be new. It’s in a small lane and my favourite part is it is completely quiet at night. It was relaxing.

I stayed alone and the room was too small that it might be only good for one person. There is nothing accessible to eat in the walking distance. The lobby doesn’t have any hotel facility like I couldn’t find a toilet downstairs or not even a place to buy coffee.

Das Zimmer war ein bischen eng. Der Balkon sehr klein und von den Klimaanlagen mehrheitlich in Beschlag genommen.

Room was cleaned meticulously everyday - staff were polite, friendly and very hardworking - appreciate them helping to carry my luggage and open the taxi doors when we reach back to the apartment. For the price very worth it, and would definitely stay again. Security is also very strict and good, only residents with the card can access the lifts and their allocated level, they are not allowed to go to other levels. I left my eye mask in the fridge, and contacted the hotel via Booking.com, and they replied within 10 minutes. Very impressed with the service and how they helped to past my item to my friend staying in kunkin. :) Thank you for a wonderful stay at KunKin, I will be back!

Toilets and sinks and showers were clean, just for my room 901 there was a little ventilation problem where the smell after a number 2 lingers for awhile in the room and doesn't clear off fast enough.

The staff were wonderful to deal with. They very accommodating. And so friendly

I was surprised early on Sunday morning when the church across the road started to sing, but I was not an issue. I was just surprised

Nice, quiet place. Comfy bed and clean room. Housekeeping every day. Turn the shower knob to the right for hot water! Not much kitchen essentials though. Overall a good place to stay short term.

I communicated with the manager to see if we could arrange an early check-in, for at least one room out of the 3 rooms booked. He confirmed that if a room would be available that we could make of that room first, before the other rooms would get ready. Upon arrival, the front desk requested a 30% surcharge for early check in. They said it's their hotel policy. I explained that i had a different agreement with the manager and showed her the communication. She then suddenly had no rooms available (which made me wonder why she would then ask for a 30% surcharge to begin with.) We finally got the first room at 13:00 and the other two at 14:00. The maids are very noisy in the hallways and don't respect the do not disturb sign. There's a church next to the hotel so be ready to wake up early.

The AC wasn’t really cold. The water wasn’t really hot. The room was very small but you get what you pay for.

Far from luxury. Cheap materials, curtain pole fell down as soon as I closed them. Ant infestation, see attached screenshot of video. They will find something to charge you for as other reviews have stated.

We arrived late after sleeper bus and check in was quick and straightforward. Room was small but all we wanted was to sleep

There is a full length window looking into bathroom so you have minimal privacy from other people in the room when using the bathroom

The room was clean and the staff was nice.

The hotel is not luxurious at all. Very old faculty. Not good value for money.

The Kunkin Apartment is in a prime locations as you are only moments away from the main road with access to all the restaurants and stores. The apartment itself is very well maintained but slightly tight if you are a tall person. The staff were all lovely and helpful.

nice enough place, kinda weird that they like check in on the room to see if you’ve been like spaffing everywhere, which obviously everyone has because it’s a hotel. Like, I get that you shouldnt trash the place but please dont make me wait while you inspect my smegma

No possibility of cooking even In rooms or apartments with kitchen. Not even a spoon! There is no restaurant or bar in the building

Room was very small with step staircase to loft bedroom .. room in loft very low if over 180 cm you would need to be bent over whilst in loft .. no toilet up stairs .. we have stayed before and other rooms much better , be aware when booking .. !!!

We can talk a lot about this apartment. Will start from good thing : very friendly staff, good cleaning, nice apartment, beautiful view, I really enjoyed wake up in this apartment, you can contact staff through WhatsApp if you need anything. We had 2 floor loft. Now I want to make same in my apartment too, really cool. They gave us few paper caps because we had nothing in our apartment. Location is okay, delivery here is super fast and taxi as well for a good price.

And here we start with bad sights. When you book apartments, with inches and other stuff, you hope that you will be able to cook there right. But the do not provide any cooking equipment. Nothing really, only cattle, 2 spoons, 2 glass cups. When I asked them to give me some pan - they told that all this stuff they give only to long stay guests (we stayed for 2 weeks). And we payed for 2 weeks same price as for a month, because it’s “short rental”, but could not get anything, so we were not able to cook, and it was not different from the hotel. Also when I just booked this apartment few month ago I told straight away that I am blogger so I will leave my comments anyway everywhere, they answered me in booking chat that we have the best room on 9 floor for you. Whah do you think?) First night we got super small room on 7th floor, room was really 22 meters maximum, for 2 people that work “from home” it’s unacceptable, at her I came into reception and showed that this is not the room which we booked, that gave us room on 8th floor, bigger and with church view (this is what you should ask for, 805 as far as I remember), it was not the room they promised but this room was really far better that 1st one. I do not know why hotel always try to give something bad and wait for people to complain… Staff always need to call “boss” to doublecheck everything. They told me that I can use pool and gym in KunKin Garden when we checked in, next day women told me that I will be charged extra for that, next day lady told me no it’s mistake it’s free, and next day again they rejected me to come there! I was shocked. Like really small swimming pool cause such problems?) I even had screenshots that I could use it for free because I knew this will happen. Also when I finally came to the pool they did not ask me ANYTHING, so that conversation actually had no sense.

A quiet location, ideal for exploring the surroundings. Conveniently located for easy access to the city center, and the Thao Dien area offers many services for foreigners.

A quiet location, close to the main road. Taxis can take you directly to the building entrance. The staff is friendly and has been very helpful to us. We were able to visit nearby places very easily. It’s a good hotel in the area, potentially better than some hotels in the city center, but at a more affordable price. I will recommend it to friends if they need to visit Ho Chi Minh City." everything is perfect . The staff is helpful

We love this place because of it’s hidden away from the loud busy city streets. After a long day touring the city and the Mekong Delta we wanna go back to a more quiet place so we can rest and this is the perfect place. You couldn’t ask for more - staff here is super friendly and definitely deserves a 5 star rating. Housekeeping and bellboy definitely deserve big tips. 👍

it is located in an alley but everything is fine. I have a good experience with the staff and my room also. I would recommend it to travelers who have a reasonable budget.

The location is perfect. The staffs are so nice. I would like to stay here in the next trips.

The duplex was spacious for my family of 2 adults 1 toddler. Many shelves available to put our belongings hence it will not feel squeezy or cluttered. Aircon managed to cool the room very well. 3min walk to a convenience store and city centre easily accessible via ride-hailing apps. Quiet at night. Staff were very nice and friendly.

Lack of cutlery and utensils (only 2 glasses & 2 teaspoons) so no cooking could be done in the apartment.

-Receptionist with bad attitude solve problem, first staff force to pay one more time after Booking already deducted bank account money. Luckily the other staff solve it. -Soundproofing bad, next door open TV can hear clearly inside the room.

Booked for 3 nights and could only tolerate 1. Obscene construction 20m across the road and some amazing creative photography licenses on the advertised room spaces. Small, loud, musty and unaccommodating. Communicated this and nothing was addressed nor compensated. Checked out to LA VELA and had the best hotel experience. Kunkin is disgustingly deceptive.

We make a mistake by booking this hotel on the wrong day (1 day earlier), but the staff did not reach us to check our arrival, just made deduct from our credit card payment. When we reached the hotel next day, the staff asked us we have to pay for next day with much higher rate (about 30-40%).

There is one female staff kind to us.

Room is tiny. Balcony is not ready to go out. front desk boy is rude.

Love hot rain showers and the ability to control the temperature of the room. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's in the safe and quiet neighborhood and close to everything that I need. I will stay here again when I come back to the area.
