The Aspens on Blackcomb

Nice place, 5 min walk to upper village. We had a huge deck, though most decks were smaller. Room was quiet.

There was construction going on, but really didn't bother us. Parking was expensive though.

The size of the apartment was outstanding, clean and quiet. The outside pool wasn't crowded.

Hard to beat the location. Easy path down to the village/gondola and the parking is convenient. Rooms are large and well supplied with the basic needs. A good base for anybody staying a bit longer and want to take advantage of the kitchen.

A few things needed repair upon arrival, but the team was quick to respond and repair. There was construction right outside during our stay, but this can't be helped. Wish the pool was open a bit longer. Nothing major to complain about.

The location is fantastic, and the amenities are good. We felt secure, and it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and had excellent pillows and mattress.

The room was not cleaned well. There was broken glass in the dishwasher. The dishwasher's lower rack was broken, so it did not glide easily, and the coffee pot was not cleaned (a used coffee bag in the machine). The room was very warm and stuffy with the a/c off and unable to turn on.

Ripped carpet. Plugged up both shovers. Fan can not be turn off in one bathroom. All appartment need serious update and fix. Too expensive for what it is presently.

Great location and you can walk to the village. Nice that there is a gym.

The property was great. Good location. Pool was fun and a comfortable temperature.

Unfortunately, the condition of the room was disappointing. The carpet appeared as though it had not been professionally cleaned in a long time, with numerous stains and areas of damage throughout. The towels were also very old, worn, and frayed and were clearly overdue for replacement. In addition, the bathroom walls had not been properly wiped down and did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned.

I’ve been staying at the Aspens for years, and have absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, on this occasion, there was construction work happening on the roof of our unit that started before 8am, and finished around 8:30pm. They were also getting access to the roof next to our patio, which meant we had zero privacy our entire stay. There was a warning that there would be construction in the front loop, but they failed to mention that there would be construction happening on our direct unit, or the hours they would keep. The drilling was constant.

Although the hotel facilities are a little dated, the property is very well maintained. What impressed me most was how incredibly clean everything was. Both the room and the common areas were spotless — seriously, super clean! The front desk staff were also very friendly and professional. Communication was smooth, and their service made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of. I also really enjoyed the hotel’s outdoor heated pool. It is quite large, and the water temperature was perfect, so it never felt cold even when swimming outside. The hot tub was also very spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. Overall, all of these things left us with a very positive impression of the hotel.

Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected our stay. There was a ventilation outlet located just outside our bedroom, and it ran continuously day and night. The constant humming noise made it very difficult to sleep in the bedroom, so I ended up sleeping in the living room instead. However, the sofa was quite short, and at 182 cm tall, I couldn’t fully stretch out my legs, which made sleeping there uncomfortable as well. The bed also seemed to have an older spring mattress, and we did not find it very comfortable to sleep on. Another issue was the lack of air conditioning. When we checked in, the outdoor temperature was around 27°C, but the room had no AC. Although three electric fans were provided, the room still felt quite hot, and the fans were not enough to keep it comfortably cool. These issues were disappointing, especially because otherwise we had a very positive impression of the hotel.

Room is good but with several problems… one of the window blinds was not working but apparently no notice and no attempt to fix. Several spots on the carpet were very sticky and we were not noticed and no one informed us. The king bed mattress is very soft with no support … apparently had been used for many many years without any update. There is no air conditioner on the dining room area where the sofa bed lies.

There is a shortcut to walk to Whistler village ; although no one told us earlier.

We did not stay at Aspens. Due to a flood we were rebooked to another accommodation. But continued to received Aspen emails and confirmations. The system is flawed.

The apartment was large with a big covered balcony looking out at trees without any paths passing by, so was very peaceful.

Nice to have a little balcony. Found too late we could get to village from back gate. That was a bonus for us when we discovered that. The room was comfortable and quiet.

The apartment was tired. Needed some maintenance issues attended to. IE: Toilet roll holder falling off, standing fan went around but didn't blow any air, blinds in bedroom missing a handle, clock in kitchen didn't work. These are minor but irritating. There were good instructions for things like wifi info etc which made things easier. Should suggest a parking stall area that is close to elevators. That would really have been useful. Tell people about accessing village from back gate past the pool. These are meant to be helpful suggestions.

The unit had updated decor and was well maintained. The suite was quiet.

All the handles on the drawers in the kitchen where sticky and could use a good cleaning. Other than that the suite was very clean.

Not much, Whistler Premium were disgraceful.

Whistler Premium were a joke, there are building works going on here that we were not notified about. They left the previous guests dirty coffee filters and dishes in the property. For a three night stay they left 1 paper coffee filter and 2 dishwasher tablets. Customer services poor. Whitler premium were behind poor if I am to be fair. Would not use again.

I prefer the Blackcomb area

Die Einrichtung unsdres Apartments ist doch schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das ganze Haus im übrogen auch. Seeehr alter Teppich überall.

The disaster with all electronic devices. The place is old and so all the systems inside. Travelling with kids you want to get youtube/netflix available without any additional checkins. But the greatest issue is a parking. Was shocked to see a notice on the wall that if the gates are not opens it is rather your fault, you probably blocked some sensors or whatever. I was not good enough with their gates and it takes ages to enter the parking each time. Well. notice on the wall seems to be not good enough for fixing sensors, just my thoughts.

Good access to the Gondolas and surrounding facilities. Room was fine with everything clean. Minor issue with a bathroom sink tap not operating was quickly sorted by the maintenance team.

Reception do not really support checking in. The complex is split into a number of providers who individually send you check in details, without these door codes etc you can't access the room. Reception are of no help here. Parking charges are a pain with advance payment via machine. You need to ask for the common area access codes as these are not readily available (short cut to the Gondola through the grounds of the complex.

I've stayed in Aspens many times before, the location is awesome, the amenities are good - front desk is awesome. Always very clean and safe! The hosts were also kind.

Unfortunately this unit was incredibly noisy, leading me to leave early. I think the unit upstairs may have been renovating at the time of my stay, but there also seemed to be a lot of people up there stomping loudly and moving things around all day. It was happening all day and into the night, I wasn't able to sleep until around 2am the first night and ended up leaving a night early as it wasn't letting up, unfortunately.

lousy bicycles accommodation. charge an ebike and later lock seemed an inconvenience for your staff to address and because of low level communication feel both parties felt insulted. nice place wouldn’t rebook during bike season thanks

Unit was very basic, dated, dark, worn. Patio door blinds were missing a big section of slats - difficult to block out sun, fireplace not operating, one lamp didn’t work. Old track lighting in kitchen and bathroom were very dim. Balcony chairs - old cheap and plastic.

The location was great, just a quick walk to downtown Whistler. The heated pool was nice too.

The tv in the bedroom didn’t work, we couldn’t turn the jets on in the hot tub near the swimming pool.

Groß und geräumig. Wir konnten ganz in der Nähe auf der Straße kostenlos parken. Man ist wirklich sehr schnell zu Fuß im Zentrum von Whistler (gute 10 Minuten).

Close to upper village, the pool, and the size of the unit. Had a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.

It was exceptionally warm for Whistler and no AC made the unit a little close and uncomfortable. With ductless AC, or Cooler weather, the place would be a 5/5z

Location and cleanliness were great.

The property is dark and very hot in summer if the weather is more than 22degrees . You can’t really leave windows open at night (security due to the unit being beside a path on the ground floor).

The location was ideal for my family, and walking to Blackcomb. Room was comfortable and clean.

Location, full kitchenette, comfortable in general, quiet, trees all around, private. Very responsive and friendly staff. Pool and hot tub area nicely sheltered and easily accessible.

Condo interiors are a bit used and the bed a bit soft like a hammock, wooden blind covering the patio door was broken and could not be lowered (we alerted staff to this and their response was rapid -thank you!). Parking was expensive. After booking instructions advise us of a parking meter but no cost or approximate per night is shared. We’ve stayed in other Whistler condos and the parking was included. The stay was a wonderful stay for us but the parking cost might be something to identify more clearly as an additional cost.

The location was great! Bed was comfy!

Unfortunately, the TV in the main lounge room did not work, and the heating seemed to be fixed in the same position being very hot and uncomfortable for sleeping at night! Reception was not helpful, told us we needed to contact host, which I did, and unfortunately, I am still waiting for a reply!

Beds are comfortable, location is great and the kids enjoyed the pool. There was no air condition so was a little bit hot but we just opened the window. Ot was a great stay and i recommend this place.

The rooms were so hot compared to outdoors, bed sheets didn’t fit, the host claimed not to have a front desk to store our bags where upon arrival we met a lovely receptionist whom offered to store our bags, no free weights in the gym, the shower was difficult to turn off.

1. The Aspens do not post on Booking.com when all their amenities are out, so you could book a visit and be absolutely disappointed when you visit. They think a message 2 days before you arrive, when you already booked months in advance is good enough. Even when it states in bold print “no refunds”, yet they’ll say you could’ve canceled your visit at any time instead of issue a refund. 2. They have no care about what the rooms look like or about any of the amenities inside the rooms. Our room had 1 broken tv, only the small one the living room worked. They had a dvd player but it had zero remote so we couldn’t even utilize it. The patio had maintenance debris on it, paint cans, broken broom handle, some weird metal sign, all shoved in the corner and expected to be alright. There was also dirty socks under the bed from I imagine the last guest who visited…. Doesn’t make me feel like these rooms are cleaned well! 3. The first day of arrival, I go to open the screen door because it is quite toasty in there…. And the whole screen door falls on to me! It wasn’t even on the rail, it was literally just propped up. Completely unsafe, god forbid a child or an elderly person was the one opening it! 4. They were doing some serious maintenance work on their lobby floor. They were using strong heavy duty tile and grout cleaner as well as a sealer and coating remover which the fumes filled the entire 1st floor lobby with a nauseating scent that burns the nose. They are extremely toxic if inhaled, they are supposed to be used in an open space with top tier ventilation happening. They were using these chemicals in the lobby with only two doors to the outside open and multiple little fans up….. you could smell this chemical all the way down to the guest rooms. It was awful and headache inducing. Non of the workers had a mask on while using these chemicals, they had paint chips flying around while the buffer machine was going.

Die Einrichtung ist alt und in die Jahre gekommen. Es gab ein konstantes Geräusch über dem Schlafzimmer, was uns sehr gestört hat und uns nicht gut schlafen ließ. Das Personal war jedoch freundlich und um eine Lösung bemüht.

Where to start? The unit was dirty when we first walked in. There were grease stains and stactalites of grease hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom has a broken soap dispenser, missing a hand towel hanger, broken toilet roll holder and dirty floors and tiles. The bedroom and living area had a layer of dust and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The carpet was dirty and full of dirty stains. Overall this property was small town, middle of nowhere, motel quality at best. Host was quick to answer questions but poorly managed the situation which was that the unit was dirty.

The room (#133). It’s very tired. Carpet is in terrible shape. Furniture is battered and worn. TV in the LR is very small by today’s standards. No AC … a must by today’s standards. Patio needs an upgrade along with the furniture, 3 mismatched chairs and no table.

The hotel was located in a very convenient location. They had lots of amenities for guests to use.

There wasn’t really anything that we didn’t like. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hot tubs are great! True ski in and out. There were some board games in the room. Our family enjoyed playing them.

The dishwasher wasn’t working properly. Probably because of that, dishes weren’t clean enough upon our arrival. We needed to wash dishes by hand. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Our kids felt every mattress’ spring. You can’t get additional supplies at the reception and need to call Vacasa. For two nights stay of four people there was one set of tiny shampoo etc. only, not enough garbage bags.

It was exceptionally clean! I also loved the hot tubs and pool area. The bed was also very comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a good meal. It was quiet, warm and well looked after. Would recommend and will definitely be coming back one day.

One of the hot tubs was not working, but this is obviously just unfortunate and no fault of the host's. The only other thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the cancellation policy - I tried to rearrange the dates due to an injury but was told I couldn't since it was less than 7 days before my stay. While I appreciate this, I had only booked a few days before so could never be within that window anyway and my partner was unfortunately injured during that time. Had we been able to change our dates, they would have got even more money from our stay!

We loved our stay at the Aspens, the condo was pristine, the location was perfect and the staff were exceptional. We stayed at the Aspens while we attended Crankworx and found it was perfect for accessing Blackcomb. My son was able to safely store his bikes with no concerns. Laundry access was on site, which was perfect. The condo's location was a 10 min walk to the base of bkackcomb and a very scenic one too. We all enjoyed the pool which was heated as well as the hot tubs despite the rain.

The facilty, location and pool is great.

The mattresses are very bad and time to change on both the bed and the pull out couch. Would not stay in this room again just becuase of that.

Great property, location etc.

We were on the ground floor and the bed was extremely soft and lop sided, but the rest of the apartment was great.

Wir haben ein richtig großes Appartement bekommen. Das hatten wir nicht erwartet. Es gab eine richtig große Küchenzeile. Balkon mit Blick auf die Skipiste. Gondel in fünf Minuten Gehentfernung. Schöner Pool. Auch ins Zentrum von Whistler konnte man gut laufen. Kostenloses Parken ist aber sicher ein Problem, wenn man zur Hochsaison in Whistler ist. Wir hatten einen Parkplatz am Straßenrand gefunden. Sonst muss man eben für die Tiefgarage des Hotels zahlen. Rundum ist es aber eine schöne Anlage. Und wer im Winter kommt, kann sicher gleich mit den Skiern vom Hotel aus zum Lift fahren. Wir waren im Sommer da.

It was our Anniversary and we frequently stay at Aspens for this event. This year, YOU stuck us in the least desirable room at the property. That's OK, we will not be using Booking.com for any future hotels. Seems like Genious status and client for many years mounts to nothing.
