What can I say...it's a fabulous place! Tucked away in the suburbs of Ubud, surrounded by authentic village life, it’s the perfect place to experience a quieter side of Bali. The room was absolutely immaculate, with perfectly working air conditioning and hot water. There’s also a mini fridge, a big-screen TV, plenty of cupboard space, and a spacious shower (big enough for two)! Fresh linen is provided every day. But what really makes this place special is the staff. Their kindness and hospitality are beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. They genuinely go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I also loved the breakfast, which was included! The pool is cleaned every day, and as a bonus, you have a bunch of adorable little kittens wandering around. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Ci siamo sentite molto più che semplici ospiti: siamo state accolte fin dal primo momento come parte di una grande famiglia. Non appena varchi la soglia, ti ritrovi immerso nella vera ed autentica essenza dell’Indonesia. La pace, il relax, la profonda gentilezza e la calore con cui siamo state circondate non hanno davvero eguali. La struttura è impeccabile sotto ogni punto di vista: la pulizia è di altissimo livello, la posizione è perfetta per qualsiasi esigenza e i servizi offerti sono semplicemente top. Se avete in programma un viaggio in Indonesia, dovete assolutamente venire qui. Questo non è un hotel dove si va solo a dormire, è un’esperienza indimenticabile da vivere con il cuore. Non vediamo già l'ora di tornare!

While delicious, the portion size is on the smaller side for those who prefer a heavy, hearty morning meal.

Probably the best sleep I had in Ubud, the sound isolation of the rooms are great! It is a relatively new guesthouse and that reflects on the comfort you experience. The biggest pool I have ever seen in the guesthouses I have stayed with good exposure to sun. Very clean overall and very friendly/kind staff who take feedback seriously. And the cats! All super friendly well behaved sweet cats.

Although it is nearby good warungs and some shops, I was not a big fan of the location. You can explore some rice fields and nature towards south on foot through calm roads, that was nice. But the main road was simply unwalkable at times even to go to the nearby cafes. The good thing about the guesthouse was that once you go through the gates, all that business would stay outside and you wouldn't hear anything from it anymore.

The staff are sweet and took good care of us! The rooms are clean, and very spacious. The interior design is also very pretty as well as the pool and the lush greenery outside! They have some cute friendly cats so if you love cats it's a plus! Breakfast was also delicious. This stay was our best stay in Bali so far and we hope to visit again in the future! Oh there's also a piano in the lobby you can play ^^

I have nothing to complain about regarding the property. I truly believe the hotel’s main strengths are the kindness and availability of the staff, who are absolutely exceptional. They really take great care of their guests. The room and the bed are very comfortable. The shower always has hot water, and the surroundings are pleasant. The hotel is not too far from Ubud, which is perfect for people who are used to getting around by motorbike. It is located in a quiet area, ideal for resting. If I had to mention one small thing, the room is so spacious that it feels a bit of a shame to have the wardrobe in the bathroom, but it’s just a detail and it didn’t bother me that much.

Such a wonderful stay, quiet location, beautiful room and swimming pool. The breakfast, coffee and juice was delicious. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Not a single complaint, will definitely stay here again for longer when we next visit Bali.

This place is like an oasis. The property was well maintained, so beautiful and clean. The pool is pretty big. I enjoyed staying the traditional Balinese bungalow. The bathroom was detached, but it was very private and no issues. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it.

L'hôtel est dans un quartier calme, pas de passage de moto ou de voiture. Le personnel est accueillant, disponible et de bon conseil. Vraiment très appréciable. L'eau filtrée à température ambiante ou fraîche disponible à l'accueil. La piscine est très agréable surtout après le coucher du soleil.

La localisation est un peu éloignée du centre de Ubud, ce qui implique de prendre un Grab (le meilleur, mais un plus cher) ou un Gojek.... quand il y en a qui veulent bien aller jusqu'au centre de Ubud. La chambre nécessiterait un bureau (il y en a largement la place !) Les racines qui poussent sur les plinthes... 😅

Établissement situé à 10min en scooter du centre de Ubud il est au calme dans une petite ruelle. La chambre était top grande lumineuse propre, la piscine est top il y’a des chats beaucoup trop mignon dans l’hôtel ! Et le gros plus de cette établissement la gentillesse du personnel un grand merci !!

Rapport qualité prix d’un hôtel juste excellent, le personnel est ultra sympa le petit déjeuner copieux et très bon, c’est calme et les petits chats qui vivent dans le jardin apporte un charme en plus. Je recommande

Las habitaciones eran muy espaciosas y limpias. Las camas eran muy cómodas. El personal, tanto el dueño del hotel como los trabajadores eran muy amables y dispuestos siempre a ayudarte. Nos sentimos muy a gusto.

Dependes un poco de moto o coche para moverte hacia el centro de Ubud, ya que debido al estado de las calles, no existen aceras ,pero el hotel ofrece servicio de alquiler y también puedes contratar taxis(moto o coche) a buen precio que te acercan en unos minutos.

Everything!! This place was a home away from home, the staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful, gave us recommendations and made us feel so welcome we didn’t want to leave! We had different dates booked but had to change our plans due to a flight cancellation and the staff changed our dates no problem, even let us check in early. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, AC works great, shower was amazing, so much storage. The pool was clean and cooling, love the loungers and another highlight was the gorgeous 11 cats who live here - very well looked after and friendly! The breakfast is delicious, free filtered water available 24 hours a day. Honestly the best stay we didn’t want to end!

The name reflects perfectly the place. Kubu was more than just a place to stay, it was home of graceful aura for the couple days we stayed in. Thank you Juli and Komang for making our stay in Ubud an unforgettable one.

Staff are amazing, very helpful and give great suggestions. They go out of their way to help you. The place has such a nice character and many friendly cats. Everything is clean and breakfast was delicious.

The hotel was lovely. Before we arrived we were contacted to arrange a check in time, which went smoothly. The hotel itself has a central pool with bedrooms along the side. The bedrooms were clean and large, and towels provided for the bathroom and pool towels too. The breakfast was nice and tasty, although slightly limited with options.

The breakfast had to be selected the night before, which wasn't too much of an issue, but I don't always know what I'll fancy the next morning. Also, the walls between rooms do let an amount of sound through, same with noises from upstairs aswell. I'm a heavy sleeper but it could be a problem for some (we also could have just had noisy neighbours).

Fantastic stay here, the owner and the staff are incredibly attentive and kind. Good food, rooms are cleaned every day. The pool is well maintained and clean. There are also cats, and a dog if one is into animals. Tobi the cat in particular is really cute, and Chiki the dog.

What an amazing place! Felt right at home as soon as I walked through the door, the family who own it are amazing and so fun. I will miss this place so much! Definitely recommend, especially solo travelling.

I liked the most the whole area - there is a big pool front of the rooms which makes the guest house look expensive. The bathroom meets European standards which is rare to find in Bali! The staff is so kind and always ready to help. They make you a cute breakfast every morning that can be enjoyed in comfy lobby.

Because the rooms are front of the pool, the privacy was lacking. There was a weird smell in a room during the whole 2 nights stay (wasn’t sure what it was but I guess it comes from drains). The smell made me a bit nauseous.

The hotel is located on a quiet street but quite close to the center. The yard is beautiful with lots of plants and a huge very clean pool. I loved the lobby area with a nice big couch where it was nice to hang out. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and hospitable people! The room is quite comfortable. We extended our stay twice more - we just didn't want to leave. There are only 4 rooms in the hotel. The owner's family lives on the second floor. It was very quiet at night and no noise from the neighbors. Highly recommend this accommodation!

Pleasant garden setting, very quiet location, great pool, nice modern room with aircon and very friendly and helpful staff. It's out in the suburbs a bit so you'll need a scooter or transport to get around. Ubud is very spread out so you need transport wherever you stay.

Really lovely place to stay. Rooms spacious, very comfortable beds and great pool area. Staff so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included in the price and was delicious with great options available.

The staff and crew were great and they were great, taking care of all your needs and making sure you felt good.

The only thing that was not ok, in my opinion, was that the bed creaked a bit and the room service turned off the air conditioner when we were not in the room, whenever he came to clean the room, and this made our room hot every time we came back. We used to turn on the air conditioner to cool our room

The place is very well maintained. The rooms were spotless, as well as pool area and reception. The location was great for Gojek/grab, never had any issues with the drivers finding us. We really enjoyed using the pool, it was very clean and the water temperature was spot on. Breakfasts were really good, they were served quickly and were really tasty. There is a menu where you can pick certain things you want. All staff members were really nice and helpful. They were one of the kindest people we met. Always happy to help! Overall we really enjoyed our time here, it was a great stay, definetly recommend!

We liked everything about our stay, the staff is the most friendly and helpful, they make you feel like family but take care of you like royalty. The facilities are amazing and super clean. My favourite accommodation from my visit in Bali. Hope we will go back soon!

I booked this place because of the rating, but after staying there - I don't understand where good reviews come from. - upon arrival the room smelled very strongly with perfume. I didn't pay much attention first, but the next day the smell of perfume was gone and the room started to smell of mold and cigarettes, which was disgusting - there are 2 beds, not one big - which was ok because this is what was advertised on photo, but just fyi - when you put 2 beds together you can't make it one like usually, if this makes sense:) there is still a huge gap between beds because of their configuration - the facilities and the way how things are done and served there - give you a cheap hostel vibe, and this doesn't correspond the price - the pool is killed with chlorine, I swam there one time, my skin and hair became super dry and started to smell with chlorine.. - one time I asked for additional drink for breakfast - just black tea - I said I could pay for this if needed. When I received the tea - it was not a teapot - but just a simple mug half full with hot water and the teabag like the one that you get for free in the room. They didn't charge me and I thought that this was complementary. When I was checking out - and already driving from the property - the staff ran to my car and said that I should pay for the tea 20k. I did, but it was a super unpleasant scene especially because they didn't even say thank you or goodbye after this, just accused me of not paying for tea, took money and left. Only later I realised that actually I didn't have to pay for this tea because I traveled alone and I paid for the double room and 2 people. Meaning that they actually had to serve me 2 breakfasts every day instead of one and for sure didn't have right to charge me for that petty tea. I wouldn't recommend this place. It is priced as something decent, but the attitude and the room are like in a low quality hostel.

We booked this hotel last minute and the owner/ a person in the reception area did not have any issues with this. He even stayed after hours to let us check in. The hotel room was great, basic, but with everything that you would need. You have two options for your breakfast and everyday you can make a new choice. The breakfast is cooked freshly in front of you. The swimming pool was super clean.
