The Riad is beautiful with a nice pool and even better staff. Soufiene in particular was absolutely outstanding. He helped us with everything. They also provide a cell phone which is super helpful. While not located near the Medina, it is in a pleasant, more authentic part of Marrakech and still near enough to key sights (and if not, the staff will help with transportation).

Nothing. If you are looking for a place right next to the Medina, be aware you will have to walk (it was not a problem for me during my stay).

Der größte Vorteil an diesem Riad ist der Service und das Personal! Man erhält nicht nur im, sondern auch außerhalb des Riads super Unterstützung beim erkunden der Stadt und allem was man vorhat. Das Personal ist immer erreichbar (via WhatsApp oder telefonisch) und bietet letztlich einen immer zur Verfügung stehenden Concierge-Service an. Alle sind auch total offen für interessantes plaudern über Land und Leute. Ich empfehle auf jeden Fall einen Kochkurs im Riad zu machen, macht viel Spaß und das gemeinsame Essen mit dem Team des Riads (wenn man denn möchte). Viele Grüße an Aziz, Hamza, Soufian und Leyla!

Die Zimmer sind dem Preis absolut angemessen komfortabel und gut eingerichtet, für meinen Geschmack war unser Zimmer für einen Aufenthalt zu zweit minimal etwas klein, aber das kann auch verwöhnt meinerseits sein. Man läuft ca. 15 Minuten bis zur „touristischen“ Medina, die gegen direkt beim Riad ist von locals geprägt.

De mensen waren indrukwekkend aardig en behulpzaam, we hebben het ontzettend naar ons zin gehad, absoluut een aanrader! Het ontbijt was heerlijk en de Riad is echt fantastische oase van rust in de drukken en warme medina.

Beautiful property. The staff was spectacular.

L’accueil est exemplaire : toujours un mot gentil. On vous propose un thé, une boisson,… On essaie de vous aider à chaque instant. Le Riad est beau et bien rénové. La piscine est un vrai plus après des visites dans la chaleur de Marrakech. Chambre climatisée.

Le quartier est un peu éloigné des sites touristiques et historiques.

Le regalé a mi pareja el viaje a Marrakech por su cumpleaños, y el riad fué todo una maravilla, soufian estuvo atento en todo momento, llegamos al aeropuerto a primera hora de la mañana y nos hicieron el check-in super temprano, incluso nos prepararon el desayuno a los 5 minutos de llegar, fue todo un detalle, nos prestaron un móvil para poder tener internet en todo momento en Marrakech, y solucionar cualquier duda mientras nos encontrábamos por las calles. Nos regalaron un masaje y lo utilizamos después de una excursión super larga, nos sentó de lujo. Incluso nos prepararon la piscina fuera de horario. Quedamos super contentos. Creo que fue el acierto más grande del viaje. Gracias por todo.

Traditional rooms, wonderful staff

The staff were really kind and helpful all the time, they went the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The place was calm, common spaces were comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast was great. The airport pick up and drop off work smoothly. The phone with internet is a plus for the chaos of the city. Fresh water was always available.

The service was exceptional, super helpful before and during our stay, really responsive and friendly. They include transfers and also give you a phone so you can navigate Marrakech. It is a 25 min walk from the centre but in a quiet neighbourhood, definitely worth the £5 taxi or the relaxing walk to get back at night. I would definitely stay there again.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Start in unseren Marokko-Urlaub und eine unvergessliche Zeit in Marrakesch. Das Riad ist einfach traumhaft schön – unser Zimmer war groß, wunderschön eingerichtet und bot viel Platz. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit des gesamten Teams. Alle Mitarbeitenden haben dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt haben. Auch der Fahrer war sehr zuverlässig und freundlich, sodass wir uns mit unserem dreijährigen Sohn jederzeit sicher und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt haben. Wir würden uns jederzeit wieder für dieses Riad entscheiden und können es von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für die wunderschöne Zeit!

El alojamiento está un poco alejado del centro, y en un barrio no muy concurrido, pero ponen muchas facilidades para taxis de ida y vuelta durante todo el día y noche, y como te facilitan móvil para moverte por allí con todos los números de teléfono importantes que puedes necesitar, se compensa.

Our stay was a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They provided excellent recommendations, helpful guidance, and even arranged taxis for us whenever we needed them since the property is 20 min from the central square we preferred to take taxis at night. The property is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and full of charm. We especially enjoyed the relaxing pool, the lovely tea salon, and the beautiful terrace. Breakfast was excellent, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. My friend took a Moroccan cooking class with Hamza, which was a highlight of our trip. We also had dinner at the property, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend staying here. The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made our visit truly unforgettable. Thank you Mohammed, Hamza, Laila....you are people to keep in our hearts, shukran lak ya earabi.

Las instaciones son preciosas y está todo súper limpio, pero el trato del personal lo supera con creces, súper pendiente de todo en todo momento; desde la llegada han sido súper amables. El Riad está situado en la Medina pero fuera del bullicio de Marrakech en una zona nada turística, lo que es muy agradable y ayuda a desconectar de la locura de la ciudad. Además esto le da un valor añadido ya que es una zona donde los locales hacen su vida normal.

I wish I could give this place an 11. The facility isn't perfect - there was some funky plumbing, and steep stairs. But OMG, the staff!. Especially Soufiane and Hamda. They gave us a phone to use - which we did, whenever we were lost, needed, advice, or a taxi. They gave us a cooking class. They arranged massages. All gratis!. And what nice people

The location was in the Medina, but nothing happening in this part, and very difficult for vehicles to reach.

The only right choice if you’re staying in Marrakesh! A very beautiful, quiet and clean Riad, with an excellent breakfast, great location (15 min walk to main square) and a very nice pool to escape the heat of the city. The staff are exceptional! By far the best customer service we have ever experienced! They will help you with anything at anytime! Their kindness, their hospitality and friendliness make you feel right at home! Tout le monde est aux petits soins pour faire en sorte que le séjour se passe merveilleusement bien : un taxi vient vous chercher à l'aéroport, on nous a prêté un téléphone durant tout le séjour- partage de connexion assuré! et pour couronner le tout nous avons bénéficié d'un massage époustouflant...La chambre et le petit déjeuner étaient à tomber... The service was outstanding. Every member of staff went above and beyond, and made my son feel very special. The food was great, including a lovely dinner on the roof one evening. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The cool pool was also very welcome during the very hot daytime!

The room was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you can think of. The staff are always super kind and ready to cater for whatever needs. The included massage was divine and so was the breakfast.

This is not a riad's shortcoming at all but I think it'd be worth mentioning that I'm glad we decided not to hire a car during our stay because it's quite difficult to get there by car and even harder to park.

Le riad Dar Zaouia est une escale exceptionnelle pour tous les voyageurs en quête d’un Marrakech authentique, plein de charme et confortable. Le riad est une oasis baignée de calme et volupté dans le tumulte de la Médina. Niché au nord ouest de la Medina, il est à l’écart des quartier très -trop- touristiques et permets de se rendre dans des rues habitées et fréquenté par des locaux. Il est situé à 7 minutes à pied du premier axe majeur, et une vingtaine de minute à pied des souks. Le confort des chambres est parfait, toute comme l’ensemble des services proposés : du petit déjeuner à sa -petite- piscine. L’accueil réservé par Aziz, Hamza et toute l’équipe est à la fois chaleureux et bienveillant. Nous hôtes n’hésitent pas à nous prodiguer des conseils quant aux us et coutumes de Marrakech. Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux et nous recommandons à quiconque de venir faire escale dans ce bel hôtel.

Room was well appointed with great shower. Staff is excellent. Table service breakfast includes fresh squeezed O.J. Chef made us wonderful dinners at only 25 euros per person.

Location is in a not very pleasant area of the medina. We did not at all feel unsafe, but the immediate vicinity has very little to offer.

Myself and my partner stayed here for one week and it was exceptional. The staff, including Soufian and Hamza, made us feel right at home from day 1. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best experience possible for our first time in Morocco, giving us suggestions on where to visit. The Riad itself was clean, tidy and had all the facilities you could possibly need. The mobile phone they provided was a nice touch and the food was incredible. Highly recommend this Riad

Ils respectent parfaitement l’esprit du lieu tout en offrant un confort remarquable. Nous recommandons également vivement le dîner sur place. La cuisine est raffinée, savoureuse et préparée avec le plus grand soin. Un immense Merci à cette super équipe, pour son accueil exceptionnel et pour cette parenthèse hors du temps. The staff was amazing from the get to go, available and went the extra mile to accommodate small and big requests. They made sure we just enjoyed our stay in the Ryad and Marrakech to the fullest. Needed a new lock 🔐 for the luggage and they made sure to find one without hesitation. Moreover my wife fell in love with an item adorning the room and their gestures definitely gave me some brownie points for the foreseeable future. We were greeted every time, offered beverages after coming back from trips and made us feel like we were at home. Not to mention they gave us a phone to use in Marrakech so we didn't have to worry about esim or roaming charges and a complimentary taxi trip to and from the airport......just fabulous stuff.

Everything was good and I would have loved to spend more time at the Ryad and Marrakech to recover from the Moroccan trip.

The location in the northern part of the Medina offers a more authentic and unfiltered glimpse of Marrakech. Despite the lively, less polished surroundings, I felt completely safe at all times. The heart of the Medina is within a 20-25 minute walk, and the Riad is always happy to arrange reliable taxis if needed. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. The combination of exceptional hospitality, comfort, and authenticity makes this riad truly special. Struttura bella e accogliente, molto pulita, in una zona appena fuori dal caos della città. Il punto di forza è sicuramente lo staff. I ragazzi sono veramente gentili e disponibili, sempre sorridenti e pronti ad aiutarti in qualsiasi momento. Ti danno anche un cellulare con Internet per contattarli in caso di necessità! The staff of the hotel is amazing. So kind, helpful, providing us with anything we requested. Upon arrival they provided a phone in order to use it as a hotspot during our whole trip. The facilities were very very good and the whole experience was more than satisfactory. Great breakfast, and amazing Tajine if you decide to eat inside the hotel. The Riad is located in a place inside the Medina that gives you the chance to live an authentic Moroccan experience. Complimentary 30 minute massage for our whole party was a very nice farewell gift.

The riad was beautiful, with lots of authentic touches in the rooms and the stunning roof terrace, where breakfast was served. It was quiet by day and by night and a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff were absolutely exceptional, knowledgeable and helpful and went above & beyond to ensure our stay with them was brilliant.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön und sehr schön eingerichtet. Als er die Tür aufmachte, war es so als wären wir in einem Paradise. Das Personal ist sehr Freundlich und sehr Hilfsbereit. Wir sind mit dem Auto gekommen, und hatten Mühe was zu finden, da unser Auto über 2m40 hoch ist. Aber auch das war kein Problem. Wir hatten einen sicheren Parkplatz und der Mann war immer vor Ort.

Uitstekende keuze voor een verblijf in Marrakech. Ze doen er alles aan om je verblijf in de riad en in Marrakech zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Soufiane was een geweldige gastheer! Het gebruik van de mobiele telefoon van de riad is helemaal top, je neemt de telefoon gewoon mee de stad in en je loopt niet meer verloren en indien wel heb je zo altijd hulp binnen handbereik.

Als ontbijt hadden we een klein beetje meer variatie wenselijk gevonden.

A beautiful riad but first and foremost the staff were beyond exceptional. Super friendly, genuine and always so keen to help and assist wherever possible. I’ve stayed in marrakech six times over the last few years and Soubiane and his team are the best I’ve ever met.

We were made to feel very welcome, despite a delayed arrival. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and shared their knowledge of the Medina. Having a phone provided by the hotel, with local numbers and local information was helpful and reassuring. The friendly service and well presented local food added to our enjoyment. The Riad's interior decor provided a relaxed and calm environment.

Amazing riad! The staff are incredible and definitely part of whats makes staying here so special! So accommodating! We had early tickets for Jardin Majorelle and they made sure breakfast was ready early for us so we could eat before we left. The riad is beautiful and the rooms are also very comfortable with great bathrooms. Unfortunately it was raining most of the time we were in Marrakech but the rooftop looks like it would have been great to spend time on! The included breakfast is incredibly generous. Also loved that they provided a phone so you have a device connected to the internet while there. Such a great touch! We would definitely stay again.

This is a pro and a con - the riad is a bit further away from the main touristy areas which means it is a bit quieter (and conveinently close to Jardin Majorelle) but it does mean it takes longer to get to most sites. A pro if you like walking around and exploring a city though!

We stayed at Riad Dar Zaouia for two nights and would honestly give it more than 10/10 if that were possible. This place is absolutely outstanding and highly recommended. The location in the Medina of Marrakech is perfect, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a calm and authentic atmosphere. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. What truly makes this riad special is the incredible staff. Everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive – the service really stands out and made our stay unforgettable. The charming rooftop terrace is another highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would recommend this accommodation without hesitation. We would definitely come back!

De riad ligt op slechts 10 minuten wandelen van de souks, in het echt authentieke gedeelte van de stad. Bij aankomst kom je meteen terecht in een oase van rust, ver weg van de drukte van Marrakech. Het personeel is uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Elke keer wanneer we terugkeerden van een dag in de stad, werden we hartelijk ontvangen met verse muntthee en koekjes — een klein gebaar dat echt het verschil maakt. Wat ook een grote meerwaarde is: het team staat altijd klaar om te helpen met het regelen van taxi’s en activiteiten. Dit is bijzonder handig, zeker om zeker te zijn van een correcte prijs en om onaangename verrassingen te vermijden. Ook het eten in de riad was van uitstekende kwaliteit, zelfs beter dan in sommige restaurants in het centrum. Kortom, een warme en authentieke plek waar gastvrijheid en service centraal staan.
