Le rapport qualité-prix est très bon. Le personnel qui travaille au restaurant est super accueillant et fait du très bon travail, autant les serveurs que les cuisinières. La nourriture est très bonne et variée. Les chambres sont propres, confortables et spacieuses. L'endroit est calme et tranquille.

Le service pour le kite n'est pas très bon. Nous sommes venus avec notre propre équipement et avons payé pour le service qui comprend la conduite jusqu'à la plage avec le matériel (qui serait tout à fait faisable à pied), aide pour la mise en place de l'équipement, décollage et atterrissage. Plusieurs fois la personne qui nous conduisait est partie sans nous aider à décoller le kite (heureusement l'un de nous est capable de le faire de manière indépendante). Il n'y a personne qui reste sur la plage donc personne pour atterrir les kites. Si on aime les sessions de kite tôt le matin ou au coucher de soleil, le centre de kite est fermé donc on doit se débrouiller tout seul. Il n'y a pas de place au sec pour atterrir les kites donc très rapidement le matériel devient sale (le sable sur la plage est toujours mouillé à cause des changements de marée). Ne pas emporter son kite tout neuf!

Es la segunda vez que estamos en este Hotel, he repetido por qué me encantó. Se van reformando detalles y van haciendo la estancia sea aún más agradable. El tuctuc con el que te llevan al spot, sin tener que caminar y cargar con el material es genial! Sin duda, destacaría el cariño y educación con la que nos trata el personal, Stefen, Olivier, Ouleia y Rucaya, la mujer siempre sonriente que hace esos riquísimos crepes cuadrados!!

New property. Food is okay

The way the property operates is like a scam. And there’s also an issue on safety. I reserved a Deluxe bungalow, a 484 sqr ft room with beds and bedroom with amenities as advertised, and with a bathroom with shower and hairdryer etc, . However, the room assigned to us was not the room I reserved and paid for. We were told that there are no more rooms available and that to ask the manager the day after. The room they put as in was half the size of what I paid for, with 2 twin beds, the bathroom and shower is outside and in a separate structure which requires walking outside at least 50 meters. And the power goes out after midnight. I had to walk in the dark, on the sand, at 2am to use the bathroom, and got locked in at one point. My husband, who realized I was missing for a while had to walk out and open the door from the outside. It’s a safety issue. My complain is why accept my reservation and take my money if the said room is not available? And if we walk out and not accept the room we will not get a refund? And the manager never got back to us? We checked out and did not spend the last night in the property. We were very disappointed and very uncomfortable staying another night. I am requesting to be reimbursed for the difference in payment.

The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating in terms of the food timing.

The room could have had a fan. A space for drying clothes would also have helped since I saw a lot of people trying to dry their clothes.

We stayed at Desert Sands and had a wonderful experience. The camp is very well located, and we especially recommend the new bungalows, which are comfortable, beautifully designed and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Perfectly located right on the lagoon for Kitesurfers & Wing foils. Very easy to ride everyday. What really makes Desert Sand special, though, is the amazing team. Limam, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to help us, including recommending other great places and activities around the lagoon, and always made us feel at home. A very special mention to Jean Stéphane, who was there every day with a big smile and always ready to help, whether at reception, in the restaurant or simply making sure guests were having a good time. He has a wonderful way of making everyone feel immediately at ease. Olivier was also lovely and welcoming. And of course, we have to mention the delicious crêpes in the morning, freshly prepared by the chef; such a treat to start the day! Food is also a big highlight of this place! Delicious! Thank you again, Limam, Jean Stéphane, Olivier and the whole team for your kindness and hospitality. We truly felt at home and will definitely come back. Highly recommended! 🤍

very friendly team. nice rooms. spot is upwind to kitesurfing spot. you need to walk a fair amount before reaching the place. good price/quality ratio. i’d recommend for regular and advanced kiter (ie not really for beginners).

La gente muy amable y nos repararon el kite. Las instalaciones limpias y las habitaciones espectaculares. Se tiene que andar unos 200m cuando hay marea baja para kitear, pero vale la pena al ser el principio de la laguna está súper flat, inmejorable el lugar. La comida es excelente el único punto débil y coincidimos con los amigos que fuimos juntos que nos faltaba un poco más de cantidad.

No tienen alcohol, solo cervezas. Después de un post kite apetecía un mojito.

1- False Advertising and deceptive trade policies 2- Owner/Manager tried extorting a positive review after promising a 2 night refund for the done issues he admitted were faulty 3- accommodation was in horrible shape and the owner/manager admitted this. My review is 1 star because: 1- Deceptive trade practices and false advertising 2- Management/owner (Mr Limame) attempting to extort positive/high review for an already promised refund of two out of five nights due to admitted issues with the domes 3- severe operational dysfunction with the accommodation. A lot has gone on during this reservation at the Desert Sands Dakhla Lagoon View stay. Please see attached confirmation of this booking to understand which booking it is. The first problem when we arrived was obvious. The dome we were staying in had pictures on Booking.com of a beautiful front window that you could see through. When we arrived at the dome, the windows were completely fogged. You could not see out of them at all. This was a huge part of the value proposition for a dome. See pictures attached of the Booking.com pictures. And then what we saw is also attached. You cannot see out of the screen at all The second thing was the door would not lock from the inside. They used a key system from both sides of the lock to open and lock the door from both sides. And it would not turn from the inside. The door would open up by itself from the strong winds. They did fix the door by replacing the lock at 9 PM on the second night after a couple of reminders. The third thing was the faucet in the bathroom barely had any water coming out of it. They would not fix this. The fourth thing was the listing says the dome is soundproof.

El sitio es maravilloso. Excelente relación calidad-precio, personal encantador y comida riquísima. Sitio perfecto para hacer kite y no preocuparte de nada mas. Dormir, comer y kite❤️ transfer al aeropuerto incluido, el personal te ayuda con todo pero especial mención a Stefan que fue un amor!

Quizá más variedad en las comidas, estaban todas muy buenas pero se hacía algo repetitivo.

Limam le patron, a des problèmes avec la Police et appelle la Gendarmerie Royale lorsque vous demandez une nuit supplémentaire. Maltraitance animale de surcroit. Lieu qui ne sera pas référencé très longtemps mais à fuir dans l'intervalle.

Reservamos una cúpula y, aunque finalmente no pudimos alojarnos en ella porque todavía necesitaba algunos arreglos para ajustarse a lo anunciado y la otra estaba en construcción, el anfitrión nos ofreció un bungalow como alternativa. El bungalow era muy bonito, estaba bien cuidado y tenía muy buena pinta. La ducha era amplia, disponía de caja de seguridad y en general parecía un alojamiento cómodo y agradable. También quiero destacar la amabilidad del anfitrión, que fue muy atento en todo momento e intentó facilitarnos las cosas al máximo.

La principal decepción fue no poder disfrutar del alojamiento que habíamos reservado originalmente. Al tratarse de un bungalow con un precio inferior al de la cúpula, decidimos cancelar la reserva. Aun así, el anfitrión gestionó la situación de forma muy correcta, ofreciéndonos diferentes alternativas e incluso transporte gratuito hasta otro alojamiento. Finalmente no nos alojamos allí y regresamos al lugar donde nos estábamos hospedando.

We had a wonderful 7-night stay at Desert Sands in Dakhla. The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and stunning views that make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the region. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any request. Their hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the hotel’s location, which provided easy access to the lagoon and the many activities Dakhla has to offer. The food was tasty, with a good variety of options available for breakfast. Overall, our week at Desert Sands exceeded our expectations. No warm water in the shower

Ontbijt, lunch en diner was helemaal prima, bijna elke dag wat anders qua eten. De ruimte waar dit geserveerd werd was helemaal prima en leuk/mooi aangekleed met de juist vibe. Locatie erg rustig, dus vertier moet je bij je eigen vrienden zoeken. Geen overdreven luxe, maar wel goed. Prijs/kwaliteit echt prima.

Kleinere kamers hebben geen toilet en badkamer; geen issue maar je krijgt er meer een camping gevoel van omdat je naar een apart sanitair gebouwtje moet voor toilet en douche. Douche en toilet gebouw ziet er wat oud uit, maar zand en zeelucht zorgt er voor dat alles snel achteruit gaat. Kamers hebben niet zulke beste sloten in de deuren waardoor deze gaat klapperen door de harde wind. (even een sok of iets anders er tussen voorkomt wel dat je de hele nacht wakker gehouden wordt.) Bij ± 25 knopen+ wel veel suiswind in je kamertje, maar na een lange kitesessie val je heus wel in slaap.

Superverblijf, toplocatie aan de kitespot. Vriendelijk personeel en erg goed eten. Kite storage lockers voor elk appartement. Top geregeld.

Personeel is erg vriendelijk en als je voor het kiten komt kun je meteen de lagoon op.

De Doom is ruim maar wel erg luidruchtig. Het waait 's nachts ook hard.

Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation. Le personnel est adorable, toujours accueillant et aux petits soins. La nourriture est incroyable, vraiment un régal. Concernant le Wi-Fi, pour Dakhla c’est franchement très correct et cela fonctionne vraiment bien, sans problème particulier. Le rapport qualité-prix est tout simplement imbattable. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Si je devais mentionner un seul point à améliorer, ce serait peut-être une aire de décollage un peu plus grande pour les kites. Mis à part ça, tout est parfait. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Las habitaciones dónde nosotros estuvimos alojados, pequeñas y adosadas entre ellas sin lavabo propio, son ruidosas, se escucha mucho a los demás huéspedes.

L’établissement est très bien placé près de la lagune il a beaucoup de charme. Les chambres sont magnifiques, le personnel sympathique, le propriétaire à l’écoute vous vous sentez chez vous c’est un petit paradis pour les kiteurs ou la Wing vous pouvez venir avec votre famille, il n’est pas obligatoire de naviguer si vous voulez passer de bonnes vacances, c’est l’endroit idéal

Gute Lage an der Kitelagune. Bei Ebbe aber sehr voller Spot. Leckeres Essen, aber meist Hühnchen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr bemüht und gut drauf.

Oft kein Strom oder kein Wasser oder beides. Ist aber kein Weltuntergang. Wenn die neuen Hotelanlagen gegenüber eröffnen, wird es utopisch voll auf dem Wasser. Wegen der unzähligen Kite-/Wingschüler ist es jetzt schon grenzwertig bis gefährlich. Ich werde dort nicht mehr hin fliegen, obwohl die Kitebedingungen eigentlich gut sind.

Contact extrêmement sympathique dès le début. Procédure de réservation très simple. Personnel très aimable et motivé, de la réception à la cuisine, en passant par le personnel de nettoyage et les deux moniteurs de kitesurf. Notre fils a appris le kitesurf ici en toute sécurité et avec un encadrement optimal. Diverses activités sont proposées (par des partenaires). Mais vous pouvez également explorer vous-même les magnifiques environs et, par exemple, faire une randonnée dans le désert jusqu'à la mer et à la fantastique plage située juste derrière l'hôtel, ou longer le lagon. La nourriture saine est excellente et équilibrée. Merci beaucoup et à la prochaine fois.

Dommage qu il n'y ait rien pour faire sécher les combis et autres choses mouillées devant la chambre ou sur le côté ( fil à linge...).

Le lieu est superbe, belle vue sur la baie. Les chambres très confortables, neuves, propres. Les repas sont excellents. Le personnel aux petits soins. Stephane et son collègue du matin étaient très sympas. J’ai rarement vu un endroit qui coche toutes les cases à un prix très raisonnable compte tenu de la pension complète.

Das Essen war fantastisch, Toiletten etc. einwandfrei sauber und die Atmoshäre war äusserst familiär.

Die abgestorbenen Palmen und die spärlichen Möglichkeiten Kleider zum trocknen aufzuhängen fanden wir nicht so toll. Wir wurden zudem ohne vorgängige Info einfach umquartiert und hatten einen kurzen Schock als wir zurück ins Zimmer kamen und alle unsere persönlichen Dinge unter anderem unser geamtes Kitematerial, Portemonnaie und Pass weg waren. Aber es wurde fein säuberlich und vollständig wieder im neuen Zimmer eingeräumt. Das Morgenessen könnte abwechslungsreicher sein, mit zb Früchten.

I had a wonderful stay at Dakhla Desert Sands! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious every day. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

If I could suggest some improvement, it would be to have a bit more music or activities in the evenings to make the experience even more lively. Overall, though, it was a great place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Dakhla!

Pour la cuisine… un vrai régal ! El trato del personal es inigualable, el ambiente es excelente, la disposición y amabilidad, te hace sentir como en casa. . El lugar es limpio y agradable y la comida es deliciosa, creo que la mejor en la zona.

Todo estuvo muy bien.

1- La literie, encore neuve 2- Le serveur au restaurant M. Mamadou. Elle essaie de faire de son mieux pour nous rendre de bons services

1- déjà à la réservation et à la veille de notre départ à Dakhla pas de réponse à notre demande de pickup à l’aéroport et le numéro de téléphone de l’établissement communiqué ne répond pas! C’était déjà une première frustration et un premier mauvais signe de cet établissement. 2- nous avons pris à un « all inclusive », la nourriture est très mauvaise du petit déjeuner au dinner. Nous avons souvent rendus nos plats et des articles de moins en moins au petit déjeuner (exemple pas de dattes et de soupe lors de notre dernier petit déjeuner). Je suis reparti malade de l’estomac. 3- il fallait réclamer certains éléments de la chambre pour les avoir, gel douche, serpillière, changement de serviettes,… 4- coupure d’électricité répétitive pendant la nuit et la journée, coupure de wifi et d’eau chaude avec 5- Nous avons payés 660€ pour quatre nuits et nous nous rendons compte que nous nous sommes faits avoir vu les problèmes ci-dessus. Nous avons constaté une baisse de prix après notre réservation pour les mêmes conditions et l’avons signalé au propriétaire! Nous avions l’impression d’être dans une cantine d’internat!!! Le propriétaire est venu nous parler après notre première réclamation et nous fait savoir que c’est un établissement en cours de développement. Nous entendons bien, mais les conditions (Chambres, services et surtout la très mauvaise nourriture,…) ne méritent pas le prix payé pour ce séjour!

De plek aan de lagune, direct aan de kitespot. Vriendelijk personeel. Taxiservice van en naar het vliegveld. Met zelde chauffeur zijn andere kitespots ook bereikbaar. Volpension met voldoende eten. Fijn contact met hoteleigenaar, flexibel. Goede wifi. Fijne gemeenschappelijke ruimte.

Het hotel levert na mijn vertrek nieuwe kamers op met zeer goede faciliteiten. Ik kom weer terug.

Le point fort est évidemment l’emplacement, face à la lagune d’un côté et dune de desert dans l’autre. C’était tout simplement magnifique. Les personels de l’hôtel sont extrêmement gentils et serviables. Notre chambre (bulle) était spacieuse et contenait une douche ce qui était clairement un plus.

Le seul point faible est le manque de wifi dans les chambres, mais cela devrait bientôt arriver selon le gérant.

super Lage zum kiten, Spitzen Personal, sehr, sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und flexibel. Sehr gutes Essen. Es werden luxuriöse Bungalows gebaut, die demnächst fertig sind, ganz toll. Für mich ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt!

Staff is horrible, almost no clients at all, no atmosphere. Staff came to pressure me into making a payment while i was extending my stay. Really expensive for the facilities, toilets/showers 100m from the rooms, cockroaches and just dishonest people managing the place

Le personnel était vraiment super sympathique et accommodant, un grand merci à Mamadou pour son sourire et son service super pro au restaurant et au bar. La cuisine est très bonne et variée c’est un service à table ce qui est mieux que les buffets. La localisation en haut de la lagune est top elle aussi car le plan d’eau est flat et moins busy qu’à d’autres endroits. L’équipe de monos et de beach boys est très sympa aussi ils vous assistent et vous déposent au spot quand vous voulez. Mon dôme était très propre et confortable, enfin j’ai adoré l’ambiance plus intimiste du camps.

La pression de l’eau dans le dôme laisse à désirer mais les sanitaires communs sont ok

I spent two weeks in this beautiful hotel, I felt like home. The food is just amazing, the stuff is super helpful, the position for kiting is just the best. I couldn't be happier with my choice! I have been also lucky, because during my staying I met many different solo traveler and this made my trip in this Hotel and in Dakhla even more magic. See you next time.

Super séjour à Désert Sands, les plats sont délicieux et le personnel au top. Merci à Mamadou, Marwan, Saleh et Hanas qui nous ont chaleureusement accueillis. L’hôtel est tres bien placé à deux pas du spot. Espace commun chaleureux et agréable

Struttura piccola, con pochi ospiti ed un ottimo servizio. Il cibo è buonissimo! L’inizio della laguna è forse uno dei migliori posti dove fare kite e la struttura ha il servizio gratuito per andare e tornare dalla laguna con un comodo motorino con rimorchio.

Comida excelente. Y el trato de todo el personal fantástico. El servicio de recogida de aeropuerto.la zona común para estar, descansar, comer. Super agradable. Todo genial.

The Desert Sands is definitely the place to stay in Dakhla. The kindness and help of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the common areas, and the delicious food are among the best I've seen in a hotel. Also the views are amazing and they are really close to the beach. Regarding kitesurf, they give a complete attention while you are on the water, help you with your gear and offer a good set of excursions that make the most of your trip. I'm sure I'll stay here again next time I come to Dakhla.

Le complexe est vraiment très exposé au vent. Les plats sont assez répétitifs (sur 6 repas nous avons mangé 4 fois du poulet) Un seul professeur de kite pour tout le camp c’est assez faible et lors de notre séjour beaucoup de cours ont été annulés.

The best thing is the location because it’s very close to the lagoon and the room was clean and the food was good. What I didn’t like is that the bathrooms are shared and really really basic, in fact they don’t even appear in the photos and since I booked a private room I thought the bathroom would be on the room, but in fact is far away from the room and if you have to go there during the night you have to walk in the middle of the sand with no light to get there. Also the door of the toilets are kind of opened on the top and the bottom so there is 0 privacy in these bathrooms which is really uncomfortable. Additionally to that the place is too much quite in my opinion, 0 atmosphere for solo travelling and the personal that is there most of the time doesn’t speak english so is very difficult to handle whatever question or advice you need. Also, the location is good but at the same time you feel very isolated and the drivers from the hotel ask you for 35 euros even to go to a place that is just 5 minutes car driving, so the lack of atmosphere + the isolation make it to do not be the best place if you solo travelling because you feel trap and uncomfortable Since I was uncomfortable with all of this I asked them to leave and return the money of the rest of the days (3 days) and they didn’t want to do it
