Location and staff is exceptional.

Dinner is always served so late (around 23:00 o'clock). The rooms door does not have door sweep so all the sand enters the rooms. Same for the windows.

We spent two weeks at North Lagoon Dakhla and honestly felt more like part of a family than guests at a hotel. It’s a small, charming family-run hotel with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lagoon. Everything is simple, peaceful and authentic, with a really warm atmosphere. The location is beautiful, the views are amazing, and there is something very special about waking up every morning right by the lagoon. But what really made our stay was the people. Oussama and the whole team were incredibly kind, professional and always willing to help. Oussama in particular was always trying to find a solution and make things as easy as possible for us. Everyone was genuinely welcoming, and you quickly feel at home rather than like a regular hotel guest. We also tried kitesurfing for the first time and, as complete beginners, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The team was always there to help, encourage us and make us feel comfortable, even when things didn’t go quite as planned! A special thank you to Ayman, our instructor, for his patience, kindness and great teaching. He really made our first experience of kitesurfing fun and enjoyable. During our two weeks, the team helped us with everything we needed: organising trips, going into town, renting a car, giving us advice and helping with all the little things that make a stay easier. We also really enjoyed the conversations, the laughs and the relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. Nothing ever felt complicated, and whenever we needed something, there was always someone ready to help. A big thank you to Oussama, Ayman and the whole team, as well as the owner and his family, for such a lovely stay. We will definitely remember this beautiful stay. We would absolutely recommend North Lagoon Dakhla to anyone looking for a charming, authentic and peaceful place to stay, with a warm family atmosphere and a team that genuinely cares about its guests.

food and staff are great. really welcoming and family style.

facilities are quite basic than below basic. the whole camp has seen better times before and has actually a very good basis. runs partly solar powered but mainly annoying deal genset with no power in the night anymore. why not using battery storage. easy! the bar was completely under equipped and has nothing to offer. the few coke and whiskey sold was completely overprided for service & quality. the stuff seems not to have the possibility to buy and change some to make it better. but rather plays loud music all night long with little chance to relax and chill. no chill-out area with hamoks or similar, which however would be super easy to make.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt zu zweit in einem Bungalow! Das Hotel befindet sich direkt an der Lagune, sodass wir in 1min zum kiten in der Lagune waren. Das Essen ist super, die Essenszeiten waren flexibel. Das Personal war einfach fantastisch, Ousamma und all die anderen (Tarik, Mohammed, Abdul, Josep etc.)behandelten uns, als wären wir Teil der North Lagoon Familie, so herzlich, immer zuvorkommend und ein "Nein" gibt es praktisch nicht. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!! Danke an das Team für eine unvergessene Woche bei euch🤩

Magnífico el trato del personal, especialmente Osama. Nos ayudaron mucho durante nuestra estancia. La comida es excepcional y muy abundante. Ideal para los amantes de Kitesurf. Nos llevaron a la duna blanca y fue todo inolvidable.

Beautiful location Good place to stop if you don’t want to go right into Dakhla. Nice dog.

Meals are served ridiculously late, dinner not finished by 11pm, breakfast just getting started at 10am. No power throughout the night, and no warning that you’d wake up and not be able to see. This happens every night so clients should be warned to keep a torch with them. No water throughout the night, cold water in the day. Loud generator behind room until 1am. Beer €6, water €2. Absolutely nowhere to buy any supplies. Food served as they like it, if you don’t like fish you’re in trouble because it’s every course. Room door banging in the wind all night, was told to stuff it with toilet paper. This became very annoying after two days. Worst place I’ve stayed for the money in 3 months of over landing. It looks great, but it’s empty of what is needed for a comfortable stay. I left without being washed and feeling completely drained. I couldn’t even leave at 6am as intended because I couldn’t see to pack my belongings. No internet apart from in the bar, I’ve spent €10 on an eSIM during my stay.

UN VRAI SANS FAUTE !! Du début à la fin tout a été absolument parfait ! Le personnel de l’hôtel est adorable, aux petits soins, ils ont rendus notre séjour encore mieux. Maravillosa la experiencia en North Lagoon Dakhla. El hotel está muy bien ubicado, concretamente enfrente de la laguna, solamente hay que cruzar una carretera con poco tráfico y en 3 minutos andando estás en el agua. Las instalaciones están muy bien cuidadas, decoradas y la atención al cliente por parte del equipo que trabaja es de diez. Especialmente Oussama, un chico muy amable y atento en todo momento, él te hace sentir como en casa. También Youssef, siempre con una sonrisa. Había leído otras reseñas en las cuales se decia que la comida era muy buena, después de haberla probado, confirmo que está riquísima, variedad y productos locales. Gracias a todo el equipo de North Lagoon y también a su dueño Adam, un hombre muy simpático que se preocupa por los clientes.

La ubicación es fantástica, el trato increíble y la comida cada dia variada y muy buena, además de mucha cantidad y nunca te quedas con hambre.

Falla de vez en cuando la luz y el agua pero es normal porque estamos en el desierto.

Oussama au restaurant et Ayman au Kite ont été vraiment adorables

El personal fenomenal, es como alojarte con una familia. Son todos un encanto. Cualquier problema intentan solucionarlo en la mayor brevedad y hacen que te sientas como en casa.

No había agua caliente. La limpieza del baño de la habitación dejaba mucho que desear.

The staff was very friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible.. Rooms were very clean and properly cleaned daily. Very tasty food.

There were some issues that got annoying after 7 days of the same problem. For example, there were never enough glasses for water on the table. Even after asking every meal for extra glasses, we ended up having to share our glass almost every time. The bar ran out of soda or any other drink after two days, and it took them multiple days to refill the fridge. This made us have to go to a hotel nearby every time for drinks. The kitesurf material that could be rented was very well priced, but not in the best condition. If you want excellent material that has been well taken care of, I suggest going to a different rental.spot. Two of the rooms we booked had a good shower. However, in the third room there was almost no water coming out of the shower head. This made us have to use the shared bathroom from the camping, which was not ideal.

Very good value for money. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, and the food was great — especially the fresh fish. The kite facilities are nice and the North Lagoon spot had wind every day. The tent was comfortable and the whole place had a relaxed, familiar atmosphere. They also organized a traditional evening with singing and a bonfire, which was a really nice touch. Thank you!

The staff was amazing, so helpful and kind: Oussama l'ambassadeur with Omar on the service, Abraham on the room clean, and the amazing kiteschool guys: the best of the best Ayman who made our kite progression and stay 5-stars, Youssef, Ahmed and so many more! A fun team of people that we call friends at the end and that have made our stay exceptional! Food was delicious and accomodation perfect right on the spot to kite all day! Highly recommend

Todo fue increible. Alojamiento limpio y cómodo, comidas excepcionales. Instalaciones muy bonitas y ubicación perfecta. A destacar el trato de todo el personal, muy amables y hacen que tu experiencia sea memorable. 100% vamos a volver a este sitio, no buscaría ningún otro al volver a Dakhla!

Our stay was really lovely. We stayed in the new bungalow and it has a direct view of the lagoon when you wake up. The food is really excellent and i have to give a big thank you to the chef, as i am Celiac ( gluten free allergic) and they prepared everyday something for me. The view is one of the best i believe.

I would say that the music should be put lower volume in general. It can bother a lot, especially after a kite session, you just want to chill. The alcohol is expensive beer 6 euros and wine 7 euros so be prepared to spend money on that. You can also go to Dakhla and get a few things to keep in your room. I would do the food earlier if possible.... We had to wait long time to eat and it was annoying between kite session but also to go to sleep earlier. Do not expect to have water all the time in the showe, during the day it was very limited and by night it was great and warm. Concerning Kite, i would add in that space a landing area ( green grass) to keep the kite clean. This side of the lagoon has less waves, so more easy for beginner but it get sometimes really busy with all the classes coming from Energy hotel.

Nos hospedamos en el bungaloo y es muy bonito y cómodo Las instalaciones comunes son lindas, cómodas y de buen ambiente. Puedes tomar café y cocteles

Se podría mejorar la limpieza de los baños También como indicación, no como cosa del hotel porque es genial, no hay nada cerca, si no vas a practicar kitesurfing la estancia allí es para desconectar y descansar totalmente. El internet no es el mejor de todos.

Dinner and breakfast were amazing. There’s no formal menu, but the food brought in by the hosts was absolutely delicious. The room isn’t very spacious, but if you’re coming for kitesurfing, you won’t be spending much time inside anyway, so it serves its purpose perfectly. The location is fantastic – right at the end of the lagoon, just 50 meters from the ocean. A true kitesurfing paradise.

The only minor challenge is that the electricity is generated by solar panels, which also power the water pump, so water pressure was a bit low in some rooms and there wasn’t electricity throughout the entire night. Still, any small inconvenience was more than compensated by the kindness of the staff and the overall greatness of the place.

This is the best accommodation I have ever stayed at. The staff is very kind and helpful, and the dinner was delicious. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay for breakfast, but they packed it for us in the evening so we could take it with us. C'est le meilleur hébergement où je sois jamais allé. Le personnel est très aimable et serviable, et le dîner était délicieux. Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas pu rester pour le petit-déjeuner, mais ils nous l'ont préparé la veille au soir pour que nous puissions l'emporter.

Accueil déplorable, obligé de négocier dès l'entré pour pouvoir rentrer, alors que l'on avait une réservation. Personnels vraiment pas heureux d'être là et pas serviable, tellement désorganisé que mon passeport s'est perdu pendant l'enregistrement.

Le personnel juste exceptionnel, les repas divins, le spot magnifique, mais vraiment ce qui rend le séjour merveilleux c'est l'ambiance, c'est réellement eux, tout l'ensemble du personnel

Séjour incroyable ! Je suis venue avec mon frère pour faire du kite, tout était parfait le personnel est d'une gentillesse incomparable, la nourriture est délicieuse, l'emplacement géographique est parfait et l'endroit est beau et bien pensé, avec une vue imprenable sur le lagon. Je reviendrai sans aucun doute !!

Kein Strom zwischen 6h und 9h morgens in den bungalows

Resort familiar, súper bien ubicado en la laguna y con muy buen ambiente tanto por parte del gerente como de los empleados. Menú individual variado, todo riquísimo y buena cantidad (primer y segundo plato y postre: desde sopas, ensalada de pasta, arroz, tajin de pollo buenísimo, fruta...) Bungalow muy amplio, bien equipado y con fantásticas vistas a la laguna. Nota: no hay agua caliente durante todo el día, lo cual es lógico porque estás en el desierto, pero con adaptarte a los horarios es más que suficiente.

Le bungalow est Jolie mais il faut un bon coup de rafraîchissement peinture, draps de lit, couette à la place d'une couverture. Et alors rafraîchissement de la douche et la réaménager ( en effet la salle de bain ne donne pas envie) Petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur du déjeuner et dîner....il devrait proposer un buffet

The room was in unacceptable condition: stains on bedding, visible fecal marks in the toilet, and dozens of flies inside. Staff were unprofessional and offered no solution after being informed. Photos attached. We left the property immediately due to the conditions.

I liked the beautiful location by the lagoon, the peaceful atmosphere, and the friendly staff who were always helpful.

We only stayed one night, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the meals. We missed dinner because we arrived late, and we also woke up late for breakfast, but the staff still prepared it for us and served us tea

El ambiente familiar y lo atentos que eran TODOS! La ubicación es maravillosa, justo enfrente del mar (tan solo hay que cruzar una pequeña carretera). Para quien vaya a hacer kite el sitio es inmejorable. Se guarda todo el material en una caseta preparada para ello y ahí se pueden hinchar/deshinchar cometas, limpiar material, etc. Todo el personal te ayuda con el material hasta para acercártelo a la playa y están pendientes de ti en todo momento, aunque no hayas contratado clases. La comida es delii, te la sirven en mesa y casi cada día se prepara una sorpresita especial para los clientes. También se agradece mucho que te recojan y te lleven al aeropuerto, al final la sensación es que puedes olvidarte de todo porque ellos se encargan de facilitarte la vida:) no se puede pedir mas estando de vacaciones. Añado BONUS de un motivo muy importante para elegir este sitio. Tuve un pequeño accidente en la laguna y absolutamente todo el personal se movilizó. En menos de dos horas ya había ido y vuelto del hospital sin que me dejaran sola en ningún momento (que tranquilidad da eso) y ellos se encargaron de todas las gestiones. MIL GRACIAS A TODOS!!! En definitiva: -Personal majísimo. -Comida estupenda. -Ubicación espectacular para kite. -Relación calidad-precio insuperable Y te miman un montoooon!!

je suis une personne à mobilité réduite. Aucune aide pour mes bagages ne m’a été proposé ni à l’arrivée ni au départ. J’ai été loger dans une tente avec des cafards et un lit très dur. En lendemain, j’avais des courbatures et le linge était très sale et déchirée à l’arrivée. Nous avons eu un dîner de la viande froide et un mangeable. Le petit déjeuner était médiocre. Évidemment nous avons été obligé d’aller manger à l’extérieur alors que le repas était compris dans le prix de l’hôtel. Nous sommes restés que deux jours car nous avons pas pu supporter la literie les repas et le l’hygiène aucun remboursement nous a été proposé car nous avons payé pour trois jours et nous sommes restés que deux jours nous avons salué, Monsieur Hamza et ce dernier et nous a même pas dit au revoir

This place is a home away from home. The staff welcome you so well, the atmosphere is relaxed, the kite spot is just across the road, easy to enter and great for beginners. I got lessons with a monitor organised by north lagoon and progressed a lot. The rooms are comfortable, as are the beds. We slept well here. Also the food is great. They made all vegetarian food for me, it was all fresh and well made. Thanks a lot North Lagoon!

I would loved a place where you could wash the sand off after kiting and enter your room with clean feet, for example a tap outside the room. Also, the meal times are a bit late for Northern Europeans 😅

Great spot, great people and a nice vibe! The food was amazing and all in all you notice that this new place is working hard to earn it's place on the lagoon. I'll be back, I've never recharged my batteries so fast in such a short time!

The hotel itself was a good experience overall. The staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Food was good, we especially enjoyed the breakfasts — definitely the highlight for me when it came to food. The common areas are nicely designed and offer beautiful views over the lagoon, which is a stunning spot for kitesurfing. We stayed in one of the tents, and while basic, it was comfortable enough. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and relaxing, if you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with access to the lagoon, the hotel part of this place delivers good value, but...

Unfortunately, the experience with the on-site kite school was very disappointing and had a negative impact on our trip. On the first day, we agreed on what seemed like a good deal for me to receive private lessons. However, during the sessions, the instructor was inattentive — he spent a lot of time on his phone, smoked, and chatted with others instead of focusing on the lesson. I didn’t feel supported or safe, and after three sessions, I decided to switch to a different school, which turned out to be the best decision. We shared our concerns with the manager, who seemed to understand, but he insisted I should have realized and spoken up earlier, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. In addition, the WiFi was weak, and the generator near our tent was quite noisy at night — we brought earplugs, which helped, but it’s something to be aware of if you plan to stay in the tents.

The lagoon is beautiful, at walking distance. The food was very good, and the chef clearly knows what they’re doing. Most of the staff were warm and welcoming. Kitesurfing classes and rental were reasonably priced, and the kite manager genuinely tried to help — I appreciated the effort, even if the approach sometimes felt intrusive, more on this on the negative review.

I’ve never written a negative review before, but I’ve also never felt so uncomfortable at a hotel. Before arriving, I sent several messages to confirm our shuttle — it took almost 48 hours to get a reply. The phone number listed on Booking.com was incorrect, and no one picked up the number on Google either. We only managed to reach someone by manually trying the number on WhatsApp. When we arrived, the room was disappointing. While the bathroom looked clean, basic things like glasses and taps had clearly not been cleaned properly. The light in the room was blinking, and we had to ask for it to be replaced. One night, there was no running water. Another night, there was a loud party on the property until 1 AM, which made it impossible to rest. The location is not as advertised — while it’s technically by the lagoon, there’s a road separating the hotel from the water, which you can’t see in the pictures. There’s no proper beach setup to relax or sunbathe. The so-called beach bar is actually in the middle of a parking lot — far from a relaxing beach vibe. Meals are served at fixed times: breakfast at 8:30, lunch at 14:00, and dinner at 21:30. The food itself was very good, and the chef clearly knows what they’re doing — it’s just unfortunate that lunch and dinner is served so late every night with no flexibility. The staff were generally welcoming and kind, but the management made me feel uncomfortable throughout the stay. I was repeatedly told how to behave — including comments about my facial expression and even remarks about what I was doing on my phone. It felt invasive and patronising. I just wanted to be left in peace, and instead I felt watched and bossed around. This place has potential — the surroundings are beautiful, and most of the team is kind — but the lack of professionalism and boundaries made it a very unpleasant stay. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived.

Everything[5.02, 11:01] Rababe UK: This is our first time visiting the city of Dakhla, especially Nurt Lagoon, and I can't find the words to describe this wonderful, perfect, tranquil, and breathtaking place for both the eye and the heart. I struggle to express the generosity of hospitality at Nurt Lagoon and the kindness and dedication in serving customers, making you feel at home. The staff is truly ideal, respectful, and devoted to their work, giving their best to satisfy you. I’m talking about Mr. Bashir, the epitome of generosity and beautiful stories, as well as the master of desert tea, who treated us multiple times in various places with everything needed—utensils, a desert setting, and without any fatigue or boredom. He added to the beauty of the place with an enjoyable atmosphere that you never tire of. Then there's Naila, the young girl who prepares the tastiest breakfast with skill and finesse. Though young, she excels in her accomplishments and dedicated service, showing great respect while spreading joy and happiness with her cheerful conversations and laughter that fills the space. And I can't forget Soufiane, the quick, helpful, cheerful assistant who is always there to help with whatever you need, as well as Laila, who was the first to greet us and took us from the airport and back. She describes the place and the city, suggesting everything you could think of regarding activities and enjoyment. [5.02, 11:01] Rababe UK: It’s a place that is never lacking in beautiful sunshine, with breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset, white sands that dance in the wind adding to the charm, the tranquil sounds of the desert, and the stars shining brightly at night. You can clearly see the Milky Way from your balcony, along with the sunrise that fills your space, waking you up to a beauty you won’t find anywhere else. This is our first time visiting the city of Dakhla, especially Nurt Lagoon, and I can't find the words to describe this wonderful, perfect, tranquil, and breathtaking place for both the eye and the heart. I struggle to express the generosity of hospitality at Nurt Lagoon and the kindness and dedication in serving customers, making you feel at home. The staff is truly ideal, respectful, and devoted to their work, giving their best to satisfy you. I’m talking about Mr. Bashir, the epitome of generosity and beautiful stories, as well as the master of desert tea, who treated us multiple times in various places with everything needed—utensils, a desert setting, and without any fatigue or boredom. He added to the beauty of the place with an enjoyable atmosphere that you never tire of. Then there's Naila, the young girl who prepares the tastiest breakfast with skill and finesse. Though young, she excels in her accomplishments and dedicated service, showing great respect while spreading joy and happiness with her cheerful conversations and laughter that fills the space. And I can't forget Soufiane, the quick, helpful, cheerful assistant who is always there to help with whatever you need, as well as Laila, who was the first to greet us and took us from the airport and back. She describes the place and the city, suggesting everything you could think of regarding activities and enjoyment. It’s a place that is never lacking in beautiful sunshine, with breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset, white sands that dance in the wind adding to the charm, the tranquil sounds of the desert, and the stars shining brightly at night. You can clearly see the Milky Way from your balcony, along with the sunrise that fills your space, waking you up to a beauty you won’t find anywhere else. I also can't forget the most delicious dishes and their unforgettable taste. Though I haven’t met the chef, I send my warmest greetings and appreciation for their amazing efforts.

Located in the lagoon before Dakhla has a very large opening and view of the beautiful landscape. The staff responsive and friendly. The food and service were very good.

Our stay at North Lagoon was exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. The property is absolutely charming, with breathtaking views of the lagoon. The hotel restaurant was a highlight of our visit, serving delicious Moroccan cuisine. Another standout feature was the kiteboarding school, our lessons were so much fun. I strongly recommend!

The (local) food is delicious, the kitesurfing equipment is new, the tent I had was very typical and overlooking the lagoon, little extra: the windows allow you to see outside but you can’t see inside the tent. All the staff is super smiling and attentive to ensure you have an exceptional stay

His passion for hospitality shines through every detail, and it's clear that he has poured his heart and soul into making North Lagoon a haven for travelers. I am deeply grateful for his incredible generosity and the care he took to ensure my stay was perfect. Whether it was arranging activities, offering local tips, or simply chatting, Hamza's warmth made my stay feel even more personalized and special. The food at North Lagoon was really, really good—every meal was a delight, showcasing the local flavors and fresh ingredients. It was clear that a lot of love and expertise went into every dish, making dining here a highlight of my stay. My time there wouldn’t have been complete without the exhilarating kiteboarding lessons from Driss. As a coach, he is patient, skilled, and incredibly encouraging. He made learning this thrilling sport not only achievable but also fun. Driss has a way of instilling confidence in his students, and I left each session feeling more accomplished and excited. Amy, the cleaning lady, was always so friendly and thorough, ensuring that everything was spotless and comfortable. Her hard work behind the scenes did not go unnoticed and added to the overall sense of care and attention to detail. A special shoutout also goes to Bashir, Abu Bakri, and Ousman, who were always ready to lend a hand with a smile. Their dedication and hard work ensured that every aspect of my stay was seamless, from the impeccably maintained rooms to the beautiful surroundings.

This new hotel is absolutely great, the location is perfect for the kitesurfing experience, the food is excellent and the team/staff is like a family. Very good to chill or enjoy water sports.
