A beautiful property but too expensive.

An expensive property that lacked any facilities. No spa. No bar. No credit card facilities. No coffee or tea available in our room. Skeleton staff.

The staff and breakfast were marvelous! The room was impressive and well equipped with amenities. I like the intimacy of only 4 rooms for relaxation.

The property is by a busy road and train track….😬 perhaps put a sound proof wall?! Also, please purchase umbrellas and beach loungers for usage. Yet, it will not deter me from returning.

Ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt! Das Frühstück war hervorragend und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön gepflegt und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das außergewöhnlich aufmerksame Personal – hier wird einem wirklich jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Ein tolles Extra war die kühle Kokosnuss zur Erfrischung. Die Zimmer sind großzügig geschnitten, äußerst sauber und sehr komfortabel. Ein absolutes Highlight war die liebevoll organisierte Geburtstagsüberraschung mit Kuchen und Blumen – ein unvergesslicher Moment! Insgesamt ein erstklassiges Hotel, das ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen kann.

Mir fällt beim besten Willen nichts ein.

Besonders gefallen hat mir der wunderschöne, großzügige Pool mit direktem Blick auf das Meer – einfach traumhaft. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und geräumig, und die exklusive Ausstattung der Villa ließ für mich keine Wünsche offen. Ein besonderes Highlight war zudem der außergewöhnlich freundliche Koch, der auf all meine Wünsche eingegangen ist und wirklich alles möglich gemacht hat. Auch das Meer direkt vor dem Hotel habe ich als wunderschön und angenehm ruhig empfunden, da nur wenige Menschen dort waren. Links und rechts befinden sich jeweils zwei einfache Strandbars. Zwar ist das Meer aufgrund der starken Strömungen nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet, dennoch ist die Kulisse absolut beeindruckend.

Leider ist die Master-Suite aus meiner Sicht nicht zu empfehlen. Direkt hinter dem Zimmer verläuft eine Bahnstrecke, zudem befindet sich direkt vor dem Hot eine sehr stark befahrene Straße, auf der ständig gehupt wird. Im Badezimmer befindet sich eine extrem laute Klimaanlage (wie ein Traktor). Dadurch war an Ruhe kaum zu denken. Besonders störend waren die deutlichen Vibrationen des Zuges, das Hupen den Zuges (auch während der ganzen Nacht) und die vorbeifahrenden, hupenden Autos/ Busse / LKWs sodass ich dort nicht schlafen konnte. Glücklicherweise konnte ich in die Familiensuite umziehen, da diese frei war. Dort war es deutlich ruhiger (bessere Schallisolierung) allerdings hätte ich auch hier ohne Ohrstöpsel kaum schlafen können. Das ist besonders schade, da die Villa an sich wirklich traumhaft ist. Man sollte einfach nicht lärmempfindlich sein, dann ist es ein Paradies. Tagsüber fand ich den Lärm nicht so schlimm wie in der Nacht. Enttäuschend war für mich außerdem der Umgang des Managements. Aufgrund der starken Lärmbelästigung wollte ich meinen Aufenthalt ursprünglich stornieren, was mir jedoch nicht ermöglicht wurde. Insgesamt wirkte das Management unfreundlich und auf Antworten musste man stundenlange / tagelang warten, während das Personal vor Ort stets sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit war. Schade fand ich außerdem, dass kein Alkohol ausgeschenkt wird. Zwar wurde angeboten, dass das Personal diesen für mich besorgt, oder dass ich ihn selbst kaufe und kühle, dennoch hätte ich es schön gefunden, vor Ort beispielsweise einmal einen Cocktail direkt genießen zu können.

Отличное расположение виллы, красивый выход из сада прямо на пляж. Пляж прекрасный - мягкий песок, отсутствие людей, хороший заход в море. Прекрасный, большой бассейн и зона для отдыха около него. Персонал виллы очень приветливый и доброжелательный, всегда готовы помочь с любым вопросом. Завтраки шикарные - повар готовит для вас по заказу. Уборка номера каждый день, через 3 дня перестилают постельное белье. Площадь номера огромная, помимо душа есть еще уличный душ. У нас был двухкомнатный семейный номер, и душ с туалетом был в каждой комнате.

Не удобно, что в номере нет чайника, хотя всегда можно попросить и чай заварят, но мне привычнее самой. Холодильник есть только в общей зоне. Не хватает стаканов и бокалов в доступе, чтобы не просить каждый раз персонал, в номерах нет тапочек. Белье и полотенце немного уставшие, застиранные, где-то даже дырки в наволочках встречались. В целом, это мелочи, которые несильно повлияли на впечатление от отдыха.

Es ist eine wunderschöne Anlage. Es sieht wirklich so aus wie auf den Bildern. Direkter Zugang zum Strand, riesiger Pool, Dusche aussen und innen. Bequeme Betten, geschmackvolle Ausstattung. Netter Empfang.

Das Gebäude ist durch eine hohe Mauer von der Strasse abgegrenzt. Es reicht aber nicht, um auch den Lärmpegel der Straße fern zu halten. Ausserdem geht die Eisenbahnstrecke genau dort lang. Auch die Klimaanlage war sehr laut. Es war also in der Nacht wirklich sehr laut, so dass wir kaum schlafen konnten. Zum Glück sind wir schon am nächsten Tag weitergefahren.

Eine liebevoll gepflegte herrliche Anlage mit nur 4 geräumigen schönen Zimmern direkt am Strand. Man wird aufmerksam umsorgt, sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr gute Küche

Amazing stay at Kirana, wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights. The setting is perfect and the food is wonderful. Very private and quiet whilst positioned right next to the beach. The team who work at Kirana are very kind and helpful - could not recommend more

We had an amazing time here! The chef and all the staff is so nice and will fulfill all your wishes. Beautiful overall scenery and beach in front of the villa. Exceptional food, superior rooms and absolute privacy.

Villa is amazing, lovely pool and rooms are spacious with an outdoor shower. Right on the beach with a couple of beach bars and restaurants in walking distance. Food was also delicious. It was a great place to relax as our final stop in Sri Lanka

Staff were polite but there was very little interaction other than a smile, no conversation or recommendations offered which was a shame. There’s no fridge or tea and coffee in the room. Location is on a busy road and by the train tracks so a little noisy.

We had an amazing stay here. The food was outstanding – Chef Susil is incredibly talented. Fantastic breakfasts and delicious curries, every meal was memorable. He spent time with us to understand what we would like offering us a personal chef service. Hasitha, the waiter and head of staff, was professional, friendly, and always attentive, making us feel truly looked after throughout our stay. All staff were lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel as a luxury small hotel for quiet relaxation.

Hotel does not have an alcohol licence. It would have been nice to have a beer at the hotel bar but there were beach bars nearby.

Absolutely everything we loved! From the welcome to the entire stay, the attention we got was appreciated . The place is bliss on a superb beach. Felt private and staff were very careful to make us feel amazing! From preparing ahead the breakfast list to dinner, including a last minute lunch when we just arrived with our baby daughter. Recommended with all my heart! Wish we would return one day and catch some more sunny days. We had 2 perfect nights here to end our Sri Lanka journey.

Nothing to complain about.

It’s a beautiful, very stylish, small property just outside main part of Bentota. The room was really spacious and lovely bathroom and also outdoor shower. Looked directly over garden and the beach. The food that was prepared for us was outstanding - the best we’d had during our 2 week trip. The staff and chef were really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Wir waren 5 Nächte in der illa „Kirana“. Und es war ein absoluter Traum. Die Lage ist einmalig. Die Location lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das Essen wird von einem echten Künstler zubereitet und das Personal ist einfach fantastisch! Wir haben die Villa zum Abschluss unserer 6-wöchigen Sri Lanka Familien-Reise als krönender Abschluss gebucht und wurden zu keinem Zeitpunkt enttäuscht. Der Preis war zu Beginn ein stolzer. Aber als wir am Ende die Rechnung bezahlt haben wurden wir ob all der beinhalteten Leistungen total überrascht. Wir waren sehr traurig die netten Menschen und die Villa verlassen zu müssen. Aber wir kommen - bei einer Rückkehr nach Sri Lanka - auf alle Fälle wieder und können die Location nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Bis auf den gelegentlich zu hörenden Verkehr und die Eisenbahn absolut gar nichts!

We booked the 2 bedroom villa and it was exceptional. Huge rooms with comfortable beds, lovely seating area and pool. Staff were amazing organising and predicting needs before we even had to ask. We loved everything about this property and staff, didn't want to leave. It is a quiet location but it was exactly what we wanted at the end of our travels around Sri Lanka. You will be welcomed by the chef who will talk through menu options and security on site 24hrs.

While there is no fridge in the rooms, there is access to the fridge in the main area that you are free to use if you prefer cold drinking water.

Dit is een top locatie! Prachtige villa in mooie tuin. Heel groot zwembad. Kamers zijn heel comfortabel hebben een fijn bed en grote badkamer. Alles is tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Personeel is heel vriendelijk en doet alles voor je. Het eten van kok Susil en personeel is een feestje. Wij waren er 3 nachten, hadden met z’n zessen het hele verblijf voor ons zelf. Wij hebben genoten.

Als je 1 ding moet bedenken is het de trein die je wel eens hoort.

Absolutely amazing trip in Sri Lanka - the accommodation is stunning and my children had a great time time. The staff are very accommodating making us feel welcome at all times - and the chefs were amazing, the food was incredible. We will be back.

Faultless to be honest. At the end of our trip we stayed here, it was a little haven, super peaceful and only two other couples there at the time. The food was spectacular, the chef was incredible. The pool was a gorgeous temperature, the decor was stunning. Lots of nearby restaurants on the beach to eat at too, but recommend eating at the villa! Everything about this stay was 10/10.

The only thing I would say is there should be a warning about the beach, the waves here are huge and powerful. If you went in without realising it would be dangerous, so the villa should warn guests to be careful.

WOW — what an unforgettable experience! This was the final stop on our honeymoon, and we truly couldn’t have ended on a higher note. We stayed for three nights in this intimate, peaceful hideaway, and for one of those nights we were the only guests — it felt like we had our own private retreat with dedicated staff. A special mention has to go to the incredible chef (with the striking blue eyes!) — he was not only exceptionally talented but also warm, thoughtful, and accommodating. He prepared a private Sri Lankan feast for us, and it was, without question, the best meal we had during our entire trip. It felt like such a privilege to experience his cooking. The room was spacious, beautifully kept, and offered stunning views. The beach was just steps away and absolutely lovely — and for those wanting to explore a little more, there were bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. One of the highlights was visiting the nearby turtle sanctuary (about a 7-minute walk), where we had the magical experience of releasing baby turtles into the ocean.

The only small piece of feedback would be the lack of coffee-making facilities in the room — I do love a morning coffee in bed!

Our stay was absolutely incredible. It was our final evening in Sri Lanka and wow it was so special! All the staff at the villa were so friendly, so kind and helpful. The food was the best we had on the island it was just so good! We cannot thank the team enough. They really went out of their way for us and took care of the group. A very beautiful villa and scenery in a great location. We really enjoyed Bentota and enjoyed the time at the villa!

How small and exclusive the property felt. It was perfectly located with direct beach access. Only having 4 rooms at the property meant that the service was of the highest quality. Such a lovely relaxing stay.

The property is truly peaceful and incredibly beautiful, facing the ocean and framed by swaying coconut palm trees. The kids had a fantastic time in the pool, and we all enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets over the water. But the real gem of our stay was the food. The chef is exceptionally talented, preparing delicious meals tailored to our preferences and served at our convenience. It made the experience feel so personal and unforgettable.

We had an unforgettable stay at this hotel. Everything was simply perfect. The room was exceptionally comfortable, spotless, and impeccably maintained. The pool, overlooking the white sandy beach and swaying coconut trees, was absolutely breathtaking. Beach access was effortless, leading to a variety of charming and local beach bars and seafood grill restaurants. The hotel’s breakfast was outstanding, offering an extensive selection of deliciously prepared dishes. The restaurant’s menu was diverse, and every meal was a delight. The staff provided impeccable service, making our experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend it—it’s a must-visit in Bentota!

We honestly loved everything and had an amazing family holiday at Kirana. From beautiful and comfortable villa, pool, dining area which was very charming, clean and tasteful to excellent hospitality from the staff. Mr Lahiru, the manager of property did everything to make our stay not only comfortable but also he was always there with a big smile whenever we had any special requests, amazing service, we are so very grateful! Chef Susil made our culinary experience just a wonderful journey, he cooked for us amazing food and always made sure we were happy, wonderful! We defiantly want to go back to Kirana soon! 😍❤️

This place is a little more expensive than many, however it is very special and so worth it. There are only four chalets (total eight guests) so it’s very peaceful. Lovely pool and immediate access to a beautiful beach with virtually no one on it. Food is absolutely delicious. The resident chef is brilliant.

Beautiful villa. Very peaceful with only 4 rooms. The chef was incredible, cooked whatever we asked for and we were more than happy to go with his suggestions because they were always amazing. They even made my boyfriend a cake for his birthday which was a very nice touch. Can’t recommend Kirana enough. The pool is amazing too.

Outstanding service, facilities and experience. Private chef meals 5*, extremely comfortable room and bedding, two bathrooms inside and outside one to chose from, private terrace.

Some noise comes from next door restaurant but only evening till 10pm and quite light. Except that it’s perfectly quiet and secluded.

The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and tastefully done. It's a small property with not too many guests, so it's quite private. The pool is very nice and clean with a jacuzzi. It's right at the beach front, so the beach is easily accessible. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

The food was average (only had breakfast and a chicken sandwich). No kettle and provision of tea/coffee in the room so you need to ask for it every time. The property could use some thoughtful touches e.g., a clothes drying stand (as you would end up using the pool, going to the beach often), a tap to wash off sand near the gate at the Beachfront and the linen seemed old with yellowish stains here and there. For a property as premium, not expected.

The property is a beautiful villa providing luxury and seclusion while being right on the beach. The pool and the garden area was also amazing. The entire team including Meu, Hasitha, Tushar took great care of us. Food menu was selective but the chef prepared all the items wonderfully. Must visit if you are looking for a peaceful and curated stay.

Nothing much. Its a little away from the main Bentota beach which is anyway occupied by the Taj property. Incase this is an important part of someone’s plan. Also the villa can put up a signboard outside their gate.

The villa is beautiful and very tastefully done. The location is excellent so is the food snd all the staff. As its a small villa with only 4 bedrooms it gave us a lot of privacy and a serene quietness which was just what we needed. Away from the usual 5 star resort crowds.

Wonderful place with lovely pool area and garden, access to a beautiful beach. We loved everything, stylish and nicely furnished with a super comfortable bed. We had one of the best Sri Lankan breakfasts here. The staff and the cook gave their best for us and were friendly and welcoming. We were happy to stay there, thank you :)

Visa card was not working for the payment, but staff brought us to an atm to get cash.

Beautiful open concept dining area overlooking the pool and the beach! The meals were fresh and exquisite, with both local and international options.

The villa overall is absolutely gorgeous. Looking right out onto the beach and the villa is so lovely and tropical modern in its design and aesthetic. There are two villas, one each side of a fabulous pool in the middle. The chef was amazing with incredible food and service, we were on full board which we highly recommend - once you arrive it’s very hard to leave. The caretaker, groundsmen and security were all fantastic. We would absolutely recommend this accommodation.
