Our stay at Taavetti was absolutely flawless. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the property and the hospitality. The Vibe: The ambiance is incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place to unwind. The Property: The rooms are beautifully designed, and the entire facility is gorgeous and immaculate. The Staff: Exceptional service! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The Location: Ideal positioning. It is within walking distance to a lovely private beach and just a quick, easy tuk-tuk ride away from the historic Galle Fort. We already cannot wait to come back, especially once the new beach club is up and running! Highly recommended.

nothing perhaps the location is a little way from the tourist spots if yu wanted to walk like the Galle Fort area and Unawatuna but the tuks tuks are so easy to organize using the Pick Me app and not that expensive it really wasnt an issue.

The room that i stayed in was very comfortable and spotless. I loved the interior design - it felt warm and homey.

It's not what I expected. The property is located in a residential, rather remote area, with no restaurants nearby and the room charge was quite expensive.

せっかくバスタブがあったのに、ぬるい水しか出てこなくて、つかることができずに残念でした。また細かいんですが、シャワージェルの容器を長期間使い回しているのか、容器のラベルがぼろぼろで変えたらよいのになと思ってました。 スタッフはかなり少人数でまわしている、かつシフトが朝8時から夕方17時くらいまでらしく、それ以外は誰もいないようなので、何かあったとき困るなと思ってました。

I spent 3 days in Galle at the Taveetti hotel. Everything was immaculate, food was healthy and delicious ( although I would have preferred more Sri Lankan options on the menu) The beach club faces a great beach and it is very well looked after. The reception is quick at responding to any need. The massage I booked was really really good. If I go back to Sri Lanka I will definitely go back to Tavetti.

It would have been nice to know that the hotel and the Beach Club are actually separate buildings and that one has to cross a very busy road to go from one to the other. The stuff is really attentive and they will help you cross the road in the evening, when if feels quite daunting for a person not used to the Sri Lankan roads.

Es gab einen hoteleigenen Beach Club, wo man frühstücken und Dinner einnehmen konnte (sehr lecker). Außerdem gehörte ein sehr gepflegter Strand dazu mit Liegen etc. Wunderbarer Blick auf den Ozean inkl. Sonnenuntergang!

Very little! The rooms were lovely. There was no bar or restaurant despite what it says on booking.com. The ‘private beach’ is up the road and across the street - misleading! The staff were great, the guy on reception was not helpful.

Beautiful hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Staff was super friendly too! You could make use of the sunbeds of the beach club oppposite the road.

I am happy to leave a review but it is a little too much to be asked for 3 separate reviews over the course of 3 dates (1 for beach club asked twice, and 2 for hotel via google maps/booking).

Good location and very clean modern rooms. Provided a laundry service which was very convenient. Staff very friendly and nice.

Anyone staying here should eat at lamprais.galle, an amazing place where a 5 star chef cooking amazing lamprais and other Sri Lankan specialties in his home with some of the best service we had on our trip. A 10 minute walk from the hotel and incredibly cheap! Taavetti's staff were very accommodating and the facilities were great.

If you want Sri Lankan food, there are better, cheaper options outside the hotel and beach club

The staff were brilliant, really friendly, helpful and hard working. The room was spotless. Public spaces were pristine. The hotel cat was beautiful. Anything you want, just ask. Our room was massive with a fantastic sea view.

The hotel is very tasteful and clean. It is on a quiet side street. The restaurant was good and the view of the Indian Ocean was very stunning. The manager allowed us a late check out which was very helpful to us.

The restaurant is separate to the hotel which is a bit awkward. It is 5 minutes from the old fort area by Tuk Tuk.

Der Nachbarhund hat uns beide Nächte nicht schlafen lassen. Er hat die ganze Nacht durch gebellt.

Sehr schöne moderne Zimmer. Alles war extrem sauber. Dazu gehört ein Beachclub der sich auf der anderen Strassenseite direkt am Meer befindet.

Das Frühstück wird im Beachclub serviert und ist nicht im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen. Leider stimmt das Preis Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht.

Having the accommodation rooms separate from the dining facilities across a busy road was frustrating after a long day out. No room service was available. No local TV channels were available, and the bed was comfortable but very noisy simply trying to turn over in bed. Our room was not serviced during the day while we were out - we didn’t leave our key with reception as we didnt know we had to. They did give us new towels on request. The pool looked stunning but was right by reception so was impractical to use and no privacy. I understand it is the off season for tourists and developments of the property underway should improve future visits.

The property was so beautiful - felt like being in an old south Asian home. The design was very well thought through, we loved it!!

This hotel in Galle was truly amazing with its unique design and excellent services. It had a beautiful view and was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The building is new, and the breakfast offered a great variety of options. The 24-hour pool was a wonderful feature, allowing us to enjoy swimming anytime with complete privacy. Overall, everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is not ideal and the surroundings are a bit dodgy. The rooms lacked a comfortable finishing touch and some essential accessories.

Haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf eine Suite bekommen, dieses Zimmer war sehr schön und auch sauber.

Die Mitarbeiter stehen in Gruppen zu fünft herum und reden bzw lachen vor den Gästen. Das Bett quietscht so sehr dass man es sogar hört wenn man nur ein Bein hebt. An allen 3 Tagen hat man zum Frühstück versucht uns Leitungswasser einzuschenken, obwohl wir mehrmals gesagt haben dass wir es nicht trinken können, für Wasser aus der Flasche hätten wir bezahlen sollen…an der Rezeption wurde dann aber gesagt, dass es doch gratis ist. Den pool möchte man auch eher nicht benutzen wenn die 5 Mitarbeiter direkt daneben stehen (er befindet sich an der Rezeption)

The place was beautiful design. Thats what I want in hotels. The staff were lovely. Amaan, Viraj and Nethmi were wonderful. This place is an oasis off the busy city street down to the Fort. If you want to stay away from the touristy Fort area on the coast, with a private beach, this place is for you. The only feedback I have for them is be clear about restaurant times. It said on menu in room 6p. I went down 6.15 and was told my meal would take 1 to 1.5 hours. This won't work for families with children. It is a beautiful new hotel but if they want to be one of the best, this is important to be organised & have good communication.

Hier erwartet einen ein wirklich herzerwärmendes Personal, der kontakt war super unkompliziert, schöner strand direkt gegenüber und absolut schöne zimmer! fast noch schöner als auf den fotos. Da ich allein reisend bin, wurde mir sogar angeboten mich zum strand zu bringen, da man über eine stark befahrene straße muss. Alles in allem war ich äußerst zufrieden. Definitiv komme ich wieder wenn ich wieder hier bin.

Echt alles! Prachtige kamer, heerlijk bed, fijne en schone badkamer en al met al ruikt het overal heerlijk. Top plek en schattig zwembadje om af te koelen. Het personeel was ook erg behulpzaam en super vriendelijk.

The staff and the beautiful design of the hotel! The team were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they really looked after us. Thank you especially to Waruni, Nethmi and thank you to the rest of the team; Banuka, Roshan, Gayantha, Hasitha. We received an upgrade on arrival to a lovely sea view room and we ended up extending our stay by almost double the length of our original booking to 9 nights. We loved Galle Fort and Unawatuna and Taavetti was a short tuk tuk away from both.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and big rooms

Normally I’m not the person who writes reviews. But this hotel really deserves a good review. Its was great staying for me. Great interior design, cozy, clean. Its so close to Galle fort by tuktuk it takes only 230 rupees. Also staff were really really helpful, kind and caring. I had injury on my foot. They were really careful about this. Thank you Roshan and Banuka!

Hotel má krásný design, je tu čisto, výborné jídlo, příjemný personál, který je ve všem nápomocný. U recepce je menší bazén, který příjemně ochladí.

Ve dveřích do pokoje jsou vyřezané otvory, kterými na vás celou noc svítí světlo z chodby a všechno je slyšet, takže se moc nevyspíte, protože vás brzo ráno vzbudí zvuky pracujícího personál. V zahradě u hotelu je kohout, který nás budil každé ráno kolem 6:00 svým kokrháním. Personál byl milý, ale občas na nás působil poněkud chaoticky, jako kdyby úplně nevěděl, co dělat. Chybí nějaký bar, kde by si lidé mohli večer posedět.

We had a pleasant 2 days stay in this beautiful and stylish hotel with bespoke interiors and convenient location near the beach and not far from the Galle Fort. The hotel staff Varuni and Roshan were extremely helpful and nice. They helped us with our requests to make our stay the most comfortable. The breakfast prepared by the staff was delicious and nicely served. We look forward to staying in Taavetti Hotel again.

The property is new and clean, rooms are large and amazing with good facilities. 24 hour room service and Whatapp chat with the staff for any requirements. Special thanks to Roshan and Waruni for their amazing service and assisting us throughout from the check in to check out. You can at times pet the owners pretty cat.

Even before we left home, the staff at taavetti was responsive and kind and helped us organise a driver who picked us up (and waited for us to sort out an issue with our bags!) at colombo airport with a sign. Upon arrival they were welcoming and smiling and provided us with cold towels and a refreshing mango juice. The property is spectacular with great antique furniture, lush vegetation and a very pretty pool. The arches throughout the property really add to the charm too. They took care of our bags and we even got upgraded to a massive room with a huge open bathroom and bathtub and a balcony with a partial sea view (room 8). The property was spotless and the bed huge and very comfortable. The wifi worked well too. The property is only a very short tuktuk ride away from galle fort with all restaurants and cultural activities. I also managed to book a massage on my first evening on arrival which was wonderful after a long flight. The therapist was attentive, thorough and applied the pressure that I wanted leaving me relaxed and happy. The massage room was beautiful and has a glass ceiling and I could hear the rain patting on it as I was getting massaged. Pure bliss. Throughout our stay the staff was attentive and regularly checked on us and had open line on communication through WhatsApp making it easy to chat and get everything we needed. This was the perfect experience and we would highly recommend taavetti and would love to come back one day!

From the moment I arrived the staff did an amazing job, nothing was any trouble and always a smile.. add to this an amazing building and decor you have an amazing hotel. I made the mistake of booking a place in the fort for the social aspect that was more expensive and half as nice in every department, probably forgo the 3 nights in the new place and return to Taavetti, you won't regret booking i promise you.

Not specific to the hotel, mainly Sri Lanka, it's quiet and fragmented, although my other holiday suggestion was Thailand... so opposite ends of the spectrum.

I had the most relaxing stay at Taavetti. The staff were lovely and made my 4 day stay most enjoyable. They were very attentive and organised trips and tuk tuks with ease. The location is out of the busy fort area of Galle so peaceful for those looking to relax on the beach. A short walk or tuk tuk ride into the fort, all of which, as a single solo traveller I felt comfortable with. Thank you again Taavetti for your kind and caring hospitality. Rebecca

We began our trip to Sri Lanka at Taavetti, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel arranged an airport pickup for us, making the two-hour drive smooth and scenic. Galle was an excellent starting point, and Taavetti proved to be the ideal place to stay. Getting to the fort was easy with a quick Tuk Tuk ride, and the beach across the street was simply spectacular. The hotel itself was fabulous, with an incredible staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A huge thank you to Ambiga, Gayantha, Raja, Nethmi, Roshan, Banuka, Hasitha, and Waruni—you all made our stay truly special! I wish we had stayed an extra night. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel even helped us arrange transportation to Mirissa the next day. A wonderful start to our Sri Lankan adventure!

Extraordinary, Quiet and a place out of the world.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and beautifully decorated. lovely room and super comfortable bed. The beach opposite is one of the nicest we have ever seen. Very very private.

Sadly, the food was a let down. Dinner was good, but my chicken curry had one drumstick only and that was very pink, bordering on red. I decided not to eat it. Breakfast was very bad unfortunately. My sausages were cold, like they had been refridgerated, and the potato wedges were uncooked. Staff are super friendly and enthusiastic (a little too enthusiastic on occasions). We would definitely go back however.
