Unfortunately the weather was freezing, raining and miserable. 1 small heater for a large canvas tent so this did nothing. Electric blankets on the beds were lovely but this is the only place we could be comfortable. The outside walk to the toilet/ bathroom with 4 small children in the freezing wet weather wasn’t fun, and the sensor path lights don’t stay on long enough.

The stillness and being surrounded by the vineyard was a different kind of experience, the location is absolutely breathtaking especially in morning sunrise ❤️ the host were absolutely lovely individuals 🙏🏽❤️WILL BE COMING BACK definitely!!! AND TELLING MY WHANAU TO COME STAY TOO WHEN IN TOWNN 100%

De douche en toilet waren alleen bereikbaar via buiten. Wij waren er in de zomer dus niet zo erg, maar handig is anders.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026Fabulous location and excellent standard of accommodation. Had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the shower room was modern, clean and shower pressure was great. Perfect location for the wine trail. We hired bikes so no drinking and driving. Short drive to Napier, we were lucky enough to be there for the annual festival. Would definitely recommend, nothing compares to sitting in a vineyard, with a glass of wine, under the stars on a warm summer evening!

Reviewed Dec 31, 2025WE LOVE IT! It is as stunning as it is in the pictures - if not more so. The tent is spacious and well-equipped. Warm enough to get through a rainy windy night without getting stuffy. Bathroom is squeaky clean. Deanne and Trevor are lovely and responsive.

Everything was very well organised from the size of the tent, the complimentary bottle of wine, toiletry products and available teas coffees and hot chocolates. When you book this accommodation I recommend spending your time at the glamping side. No need to go out for dinner, buy some food at the supermarket and put it on the grill while enjoying the fire pit!
The nights were a little bit cold for the time of year. But with an extra pair of socks it was alright.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025What a cool little experience!! Staying in a big tent (literally can fit 6ppl in there!!) that is so well set up and a seperate bathroom out the back. Bed was super comfortable too! Staying in amongst the vines - it was great. Trevor came and greeted us and helped us start the fire. We were also given a bottle of wine to enjoy, made from the grapes on the property. We will definitely be back!!
Please note if you are staying in winter that it does still get a bit cold at night. We had one heater and electric blankets but you still feel it a little bit.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2025It was comfortable and relaxing. We were fortunate enough to have two clear nights in the winter time while we were there so we got to sit outside star gazing. There were board games and a projector so it’s great for families.
The noise from the traffic was loud at times. It sits away from the road but because there are working farms all around the area large trucks could be heard coming through the area.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2025The layout was excellent, providing plenty of room. Facilities were clean and modern. Even though it was winter, the outdoor heating was enough to sit outside and sip wine. The location was central to wineries, Cape Kidnappers and Napier and Hasting.
The bathroom / toilet was not linked to the tent, forcing you to go outside to use. It was not a long walk or anything, but you were not protected from the rain.

Reviewed May 24, 2025One of our group had never camped before and was a little apprehensive. He came away saying it was the best couple of days he’d had during our entire 2 week trip. Trevor & Deanne were the best hosts. The tents were amazing - heated blankets came in very handy as it was cold on our second night. We loved the extra touches like marshmallows to toast on the fire. All the facilities were faultless. Deanne was very helpful when we were trying to organise bikes whilst were there. Also, my husband accidentally left a jacket & she very kindly arranged to mail it. I would highly recommend villas & vines. Great location - loved being woken up by the birds - thank you Trevor & Deanne for a fantastic & most memorable trip.

Reviewed Feb 6, 2025Deanne & Trevor made this accomodation so comfortable and so much thought was put into detail. our little one loved the connect 4, and running around the vines. And we loved every aspect including watching the night skies. We hired bikes to the vineyards, and this was the perfect accomodation to do so. Thanks again, we’ll definitely be back!

The tent was large, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. My husband and I loved sitting on the veranda every morning enjoying our coffee while surrounded by the vineyard.

Reviewed Dec 17, 2024Everything, fell in love with it when we saw the tents, so spacious, so many beds, so comfortable, so well thought out little details like chairs, bean bags prepared for us to sit outside and enjoy the vineyards and stars. Host was super friendly and checked in daily to ensure we are good and also brought the kids to feed ducks and ride in her motorcycle around the vineyard - so sweet of her!
The campaign next field had some arty going on the nights we stayed and music at 4am disturbed our sleep a little. But it was not fault of the accommodation and just need ensure it doesn’t happen during your stay. But still highly recommend to stay here! No regrets - kids names it their favorite accommodation for our trip!

We loved the free bottle of rose that was waiting in the fridge on arrival and they were always available to answer any questions we had about where to go or what to do! The glamping tent was better than what we expected, Trev let us know about the projector on arrival. We used this both nights up against the tent canvas, it was such a cool experience! We will be coming back for sure!

Reviewed Nov 28, 2024Unique and wonderful glamping experience. Only two tents on site so privacy was good. Wonderful bottle of Rose helped us settle in. Complimentary marshmallows to cook on the open fire was a treat at night. Fabulous bike riding tracks and wineries all around. Highly recommend Mission Winery which is the oldest winery in NZ, but some really quaint vineyards close by too. A trek up Te Mata Peak is well worth it. Also loved the movie projector which lit up the inside of the tent wall. Bathroom modern and very clean. So much attention to detail. Very well looked after by owners. Can highly recommend :)

Reviewed Apr 12, 2024We were kind of spontaneous here for two nights and are totally happy about our first Glamping experience. Awesome accommodation with lovely views over the vineyard. The facilities are top notch, with a great big terrace, comfortable seating, perfect kitchen, very comfortable bed and great bathroom facilities. Too sad we live in Germany so that coming again is probably not working out😅. A big thumbs up for Deanne & Trevor who created this diamond in the Hastings area☀️🍷👏🏽.
