The staff are amazing and the facilities are excellent Pool is fantastic on a hot day.

Breakfast at the side of the Nile - perfect
Doors to patio area were not secure - further out from (old) Aswan centre than anticipated
It was nice that it was waterfront and each room has its little balcony. Great view
Was not very convenient for tourist attractions and being so far out of the city.
It was well designed with the rooms having little terraces with seating outside and the Nile just beyond them. The decoration was charming and quirky. And the staff were wonderful, always there to help and make sure we had all we needed. We had early morning starts - before breakfast was served - and they were always there with coffee and breakfast for us early. They booked Ubers for us and were always charming and fun.
We don’t like the crocodile lake. We fully appreciate this is a Nubian tradition but we found it upsetting.
Sonesta Nouba Hotel Aswan is an absolutely beautiful hotel on the Nile. The food, the service and the staff are wonderful. The rooms and the view is perfect
I stayed at Sonesta Nouba Hotel in Aswan and honestly, it was beyond amazing! The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing exactly what I needed. The location right on the Nile is stunning, and the views from the room were absolutely breathtaking. The design and style of the hotel are just perfect modern with a beautiful Nubian touch. Every detail feels thoughtful and unique, from the architecture to the cozy yet stylish interior. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always smiling and ready to help with anything I needed. I felt completely at home. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Aswan in a luxurious and authentic setting. I can’t recommend Sonesta Nouba enough I will definitely be coming back!
Chambres tres belles et tres confotables , la vue sur le nil magnifique. on a adore la surprise quotidienne de deco avec les serviettes sur le lit.. Le personnel est tres gentil et attentionne, le restaurant est tres bon.
Un peu eloigne de la ville
Beautiful Nubian Style hotel with Nile views. Great pool. As it’s 15 minutes away from Aswan is very peaceful.
Everything was really nice. As a suggestion, probably have different options for beakfast
An exceptionally well-managed hotel just outside the city of Aswan. It is also a uniquely styled series of buildings where every room has a perfect view of the river Nile. There is also no downside to being far from the city since the hotel brings the cultural entertainment to you in the evenings. The rooms are each styled in its own unique Nubian decor. Don't forget to pet the resident cat!
The view was nice, and room is comfortable.
Air conditioner is noisy, and the location is out of the city. It was not easy to communicate with the reception.
We stayed here for our travels to Abu Simbal. While the hotel was a short way outside of Aswan, the staff was exceptionally gracious and friendly, our room was very comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. We very much appreciated the attentiveness the staff paid to us, making sure our stay was perfect. We loved being able to dine al Fresca and enjoy the sunset view of the Nile. Thank you for your hospitality!
Wonderful customer service. Istra at bar and pool was delightful. Very clean and new towels were pluses. Nubian style architecture and decoration. Lunch by pool was welcome after long day. Right on Nile. Did not hear the traffic noise behind the hotel
Staff and it's directly on the nile. Especially, the kitchen staff was excellent: Alaa, Israa and Muhammad
Far from the city
The final debit was completely different from the original amount. I have been charged for 1505.89 euros on my bank account I was supposed to pay 1371.06 euros !!! This is scam !!

Wonderful Nubian stile hotel along the Nile. Bungalow types or rooms very nicely decorated. Calm and relaxing, outside of the city center.
Nice place in a beautiful environment, nice pool and very kind the people who work there . Great
Everything was excellent, no complaints at all.
The hotel was beautiful and quiet. Away from all the hustle and bustle. Quaint and very relaxing
Bad experience with front desk and manager on duty not helpful they only care for for taking your money
This restaurant is an absolute gem — perfectly located right on the banks of the Nile, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The food was incredible, bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully presented. Everything was spotless, showing real attention to detail. The service was outstanding, with a special mention to Ahmed, a fantastic guy from the Nubian region, whose warmth and professionalism made the experience even better. The hotel itself is just as impressive — the rooms are spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Nile. Highly recommended!
The rooms are absolutely beautiful.
They don't know how to make an Old Fashioned.
The property was beautiful. The style and attention to detail of the buildings is fabulous. You are lying by the pool watching the Nile and all its activities flow by. Food is very good and the coffee excellent! A completely relaxing spa like environment but in an organic way. Highly recommend to any visitors to Aswan.
Nothing, everything was very good and staff excellent
A welcome respite from a really terrible hotel experience across the river. The Sonesta took us in at the last minute and saw to our every need. Beautiful location, wonderful architecture, comfy beds, great wifi. A few nits: the vanity taps in the bathroom rocked around as if not installed properly and our magnifying mirror fell right off the wall when touched. They did repair the mirror asap. Also, the breakfast eggs were inedible. Must have been made from something reconstituted. Ick. Other food was edible, though but breakfast buffet needs improvement.
Situated directly on the river
it was an incredible experience the employees were very welcoming very warm very respectful and very helpful especially in the search of any hotel and especially the rooms and very very very beautiful the toilets everything was very very well arranged there was no really bad to say about this on this hotel I recommend to all
Great spot. Staff very attentive
Staff
We stayed here in Aswan after a busy float up the Nile on a small felucca. The setting is serene a ways away from the hustle of the downtown. The layout of the hotel with individual cabanas is very spacious. The rooms are a good size each with its own patio. The decor a nice mix of modern and traditional furniture. The beds are comfy. The food in the restaurant is very good and the service very kind and respectful. We were near the end of our trip, had seen many temples and sites and really needed this peaceful oasis.
Excellent hotel & service. Ahmed & Shady at Reception were incredibly kind ❤️ Thank you!
Excellent! Ahmed & Shady at Reception were incredibly kind ❤️ Very well decorated with beautiful Nile view. Delicious food, comfortable bed, quiet, palace style architecture, nice ambience lights. Will visit again in the future. Thank you so much
Staff very Nice, especially Esraa. Location perfect. Atmosphere very pleasant with attention to details. Everything is clean. The right pace to be in Aswan…………………………………..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The hotel is right at the riverbank and uniquely styled in A Nubian désigne and tastefully designed balancing between antique, ancient and modern. There is a very beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings. The bed is one of the softest I have slept in and the pillows are very fluffy. Food was good and had a Christmasy theme.
Being directly on the Nile and the architectural style.
Difficulty in getting around and limited options for food.
The Sonesta Nouba was by far our favorite place in Egypt and our only regret is that we didn't stay a few more days. There's an incredibly peaceful vibe and I found myself relaxing in an unexpectedly deep way. The facility has obviously been created with great thoughtfulness and care and it shows - from the gorgeous Nubian design details to the intentional layout that invites gentle evening strolling along the Nile. The management of the facility is excellent - services and communication flow gracefully and seamlessly, rooms and common areas are spotless and lovingly maintained, staff are accommodating and knowledgeable. Thank you to the other reviewer who recommended asking to order Egyptian food outside of the menu. We took that advice and our wonderful server Ana hooked us up with the best sea bass tagine of our entire trip. The following night, she got the kitchen to prepare a sumptuous meal of traditional dishes that was nothing short of incredible. The kitchen staff were very accommodating for a gluten allergy and the breakfast box they gave me to bring along on our day trip to Abu Simbel was enough for breakfast AND lunch. I can't say enough good things about the staff... everyone was so friendly and genuinely kind. We didn't expect that we would plan a return trip to Aswan, but we truly fell in love with the magic of the area and with Sonesta Nouba and next time, I'll know to plan to stay at least 4-5 days. I really hope Ana is still there when we return. We'd love to see her again! My one suggestion would be an option for a female masseuse as some women may have a personal, cultural, or religious preference for same gender.
We loved Nubian style architecture. It was very unique and colorful. It located right by the Nile, so we enjoyed the quiet morning atmosphere of the river. The hotel staff were very friendly, they even packed nice breakfast for us to the early morning trip. Hopefully we can go back one day.
This beautiful hotel, decorated in a colourful and tasteful Nubian style, is a jewel right on the Nile. Attention to detail - clean, comfortable beds, gorgeous bathroom, beautiful private patios overlooking the river, and locally made art - is evident everywhere. The attentive, gracious staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered. The delicious food is designed for everyone’s taste and can be enjoyed indoors or outside next to the Nile. A lovely infinity pool and hot tub are available for your relaxation and pleasure. Everything about this hotel is more than a five star experience.
Peaceful, comfortable rooms with a beautiful view and nice aesthetic. The staff brought us fresh fruit upon check in. Everyone was very polite and kind. We were really happy with everything. We slept so well in that comfy bed.
It’s a little far from town but that’s also a good thing because it is so peaceful. We had no trouble getting transportation.
Waking up and seeing the Nile at close quarters was amazing. Situated a little out of town it was lovely and tranquil.
The staff are very kind. When I got fever, they help me to go to hospital and translate on site.
The whole place is very clean Room is new and was very clean and spacious, I had the chance to get Sandwiches for late room service and it was great also breakfast was excellent They put a fruit basket in my room with some kind of cookies and it was great welcome sign upon my arrival The staff is really exceptional team who work just to make you happy
Due to my short visit I did not try the swimming pool or jacozy although their location was outdoor overlooking River Nile
The Sonesta is a small and unique hotel that sits right on the Nile just outside of Aswan. Service, sunsets and evenings on your patio are the highlights! Mustaffah - who was both our bar tender and waiter was both professional and friendly! Highly recommend.
The Staff! The Team. They made our stay well worth it. So kind and caring. You could tell they all work together to give the guests a great experience.
Perhaps more menu items would've made our stay even better.
Would highly recommend Sonesta Nouba for its views and building design. The menu did not include Egyptian food, we requested an Egyptian lunch and had one of our best meals in Egypt (foodies). Stand out dish was Nile Perch Tagine and Molokhia.
Everything about the property was amazing. Great facilities. Fantastic food. It was so calm with no disturbance after Alexandria,Cairo and Luxor. Staff were amazing who went above and beyond. Sally needs a special mention as she was pleasant and very helpful. Kitchen and restaurant staff could not do enough for us.
Nothing to dislike
The property is beautiful and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
- Modern and stunning Nubian decor. - Really comfortable bed. - Breathtaking view. - Friendly & helpful staff.
- Menu options are very limited for dinner. - Cocktails are overpriced.
Beautiful hotel with amazing views. Staff very welcoming and service excellent. Was only there two nights but wish we’d stayed an extra night.
The hotel has a unique style with friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is that there is nothing else near the hotel. Construction nearby maybe changing this but for now you need get a ride into town.
I love this hotel! It is a little out of the city which made it quiet and an amazing place to relax. First the staff is unbelievably friendly and kind. The hotel is cute & kitschy and would recommend to anyone looking for something with charm, amazing services and wanting to relax. The rooms are large and comfortable. The hair dryer supplied was one of the best I have had at a hotel! The restaurant staff made a meal for us that wasn’t on the menu and they made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. If visiting Aswan, this is a must stay hotel!
This is such a beautiful property directly on the Nile! Loved being able to watch the sunset from my private patio. Staff delivered a complimentary fruit plate to my room shortly after arrival. I wasn’t here long enough to use the pool, but it looked very nice and clean. They made me breakfast boxes for my early morning departures and were accommodating to my special dietary needs (vegan). The Nubian design and decor in the room was absolutely lovely and well done.
Very new, clean, beautiful, Nubian-style, all rooms face the Nile, comfortable, great AC, nice staff, restaurant delicious and cheap
A lot of flying insects, rooms a little tight, toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, shower leaked some on floor, breakfast a bit simple, hotel 10 - 15 minutes north of city center but only 60 EGP using rideshare app InDrive.
This place escaped heaven and made a branch out of it by the Nile bank. Amazing, the location, the staff, the serenity, food, the cleanliness of the room, the room style and decorations! AMAZING!
All perfect 👌!
The location on the river is excellent. All the rooms open into the riverside with a private patio.
The food qualityus subpar with no originality. Can do better at that price tag.
The hotel and room was impeccable and very comfortable. We did not expect the amazing view and the closeness to the Nile River. There were a lot of food options for the breakfast buffet and their dinner blew us away. The best part about our stay was the support from the guest relations team. Prior to our trip, the guest relations team provided us with very prompt and helpful communication that helped us plan our time in Aswan. The whole booking process was easy and seamless. They helped us organized our transportation from the airport, our last minute day trip to the Temple Philae and the souk, and even provided us information on getting train tickets. ELagia, the Guest Relations Manager was available to us all the time. We felt like we were very well taken care during the entire time. The hospitality of the staff was superb. The location is further out from the city centre, but it was a positive because we got to experience the serenity away from the crowds. I would definitely this place to anyone, everyone.
We left early, but the hotel provided a marvelous packed breakfast
No complaints
The place of the hotel is directly on the Nile river with a spectacular view. The idea of private Nubia houses is fantastic. The interior design of the house is very nice with all-nubian themes and colors.
Nothing.
Room just opposite the Nile, location slightly out of downtown out of the tooting, and staff were incredibly helpful.
Apparently this is a new hotel or under new management, The room I had to start with # 38 was spacious, a bench for the suitcase is provided, as well as an armoire. There were two chairs inside the room and a bench outside on the terrace. AC in the room. Good size room with two chairs and a bench in front of the desk which is long. It seems that all rooms have view of the Nile which is nice, however the noise from all the boats that go by is noticeable ,(even with windows closed) one boat (from the company) stayed in front of my room, it was horribly noisy, I had to use ear plugs. I must say that the manager immediately took action when I told him about the situation, and I was given another room, they moved all my belongings. The staff is very nice and efficient everywhere except for one men at the front desk whose English is dismal, he was barking at me, I do not know his name. But everybody else was absolutely charming lovely and very helpful including on my last day, I had a really bad headache, they gave me a room where I could have a rest and some paracetamol. The bathroom in # 38 was extremely small, I found it uncomfortable you barely have room to move. Good shower, no place to put anything on. The bed was very comfortable. There are some mosquito screens on the door, so I could open the window during the cool hours of the night. In room # 20 the room is smaller but the bathroom is more spacious as well as the shower which I actually preferred. The terrace facing the Nile has a chair as well as a bench in this room. It is also closer to the pool. The pool is ok, but does not have a deep end. The food is good, lovely presentation, very good breakfast, but varies from day to day.
The food is good, but the English in the kitchen is lacking so for example the menu says “shrimp cocktail with avocado” however no avocado (apparently it can also be due to the lack of ingredients I was told). As I said to them, in that case please erase the “avocado” on the menu, I had the case several times, The fridge does not keep the water very cool (water is provided), to say the least.
The view, the services
The location is not convenient. There are no other amenities close to the hotel.
Cute room, excellent staff.
The view was perfect and the breakfast was great
I was told the car to the airport is free but it wasn't, the hotel charged me for that
Clean, the furniture and the finishing
No proper internet connection, the shower water is so hot, the breakfast is just ok
location is AMAZING Staff just outstanding … clean and mind blowing location on the Nile
the AC at night was blowing right on the bed. that is nit picking as this hotel is 5 star + just outstanding
All was perfect
Nothing
the design and the interior are awesome and the view is just amazing
the AC is very loud is impossible to sleep when its on
Location and view, staff, quietness, cleanliness, food comfort, decoration.. it was more than I could describe, felt more like home than a hotel.. the staff was all so friendly and helpful, smiling all the time.. simply amazing
it is a bit expensive especially when you are a group of people
very near and clean. warm welcome and patient when our payment didn’t go through first time as bank had to verify the amount. lovely food.
nothing negative to say
