The rooms were clean, the people were very kind, everything was wonderful, and the location was excellent. 😍♥️♥️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The staff was wonderful, the room was spotless, and the view from the room and balcony was amazing, especially the colors of the sunset. Plus, the location was incredibly central, making it super easy to get everywhere

It was very noisy, particularly in the mornings. The property is adjacent to a house where a kid would cry and a dog would bark every morning, making it uncomfortable at times. I was also disturbed by loud motorbikes from a neighboring guesthouse. Furthermore, because the kitchen was an open, shared space, I didn't feel comfortable cooking there.

Part of the staff was attentive and tried to help. The room initially appeared clean.

I felt very uncomfortable during my stay, especially because of the constant presence of geckos in the room and the noise they made at night. It reached a point where I had to leave the guesthouse earlier than planned. I asked the staff to remove the geckos and seal the holes in the walls. They removed one, but others kept entering the room, and the gaps were never properly sealed. The issue was not resolved. I also asked to change rooms and made it clear that I was open to that solution, but I was told the guesthouse was fully booked. Later, when Booking contacted them regarding my refund request, they claimed that they had offered me another room, which is not true. I requested a refund, and the management told me to handle it with Booking. However, Booking confirmed that this should be resolved directly with the guesthouse. I have been trying for weeks to get a response, but they have simply ignored me. Additionally, common areas such as the kitchen and garden were dirty, which reinforced my concerns about overall hygiene and maintenance. I understand geckos are common in Bali, but throughout the rest of my trip, I stayed in other accommodations and did not experience this issue; no geckos inside the room, no excessive noise, and no concerns about cleanliness. This shows that the problem here is not unavoidable, but rather a matter of maintenance. I chose this accommodation based on its high rating, but based on my experience, I do not understand how that rating is justified.

Very clean , very cheap , nice owners , bars restaurants scooter rental clothes shops all near , bed comfortable, WiFi 10/10. Cleaned everyday .

House keeping perfect

This place truly feels like home. It’s now my go-to accommodation every time I come to Canggu! The staff is incredibly kind and always attentive to every detail. Everything is spotless, beautifully maintained, and the location couldn’t be better close to everything yet still peaceful. The Wi-Fi works perfectly (just like at home!), which made my stay even more comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this place enough thank you for making every stay so special! 💛

Completely unresponsive and unfriendly at front desk / reception. Awful smell in the bathroom and dirty bathroom. Not worth the price at all. Also, Canguu itself is awful and loud, and not authentic at all. Spare yourself and don’t go

The location is close to everything but quiet. Room is big and comfortable with beautiful balcony, fast internet and full sized working desk. Private and clean. I’m very happy with my stay, thank you very much!

Big comfortable room in a little guesthouse with a shared kitchen (which we didn't use). The staff were so lovely and cleaned our room every day. The location is perfect in the middle of Padang Lingjong easy to reach everything quickly.

The only downside was it's still quite close to the road so you could hear loud bikes going past at night (unfortunately it's very common in Canggu) and the dog that lived there would howl every night haha which is also super normal in Bali so just bring ear plugs and it's fine. Overall not really an issue and no construction noise etc.

It’s well located It’s true that the bed space/linen is clean and fresh. Bed was comfy and it looks relatively new. There is hot water and pressure is good. I liked that the AC wasn’t facing the bed.

The badroom is dirty. Toilet was dirty. Shower wasn’t clean and doesn’t drain, which is so unpleasant. Sink area was dirty too. It’s like they clean the room, but don’t do the bathroom. My door handle wasn’t opening from inside. It’s noisy. I would have loved to tell this directly to the staff instead of doing it here, but I haven’y’t seen a single soul after my checkin..

Entering the property felt like stepping into a pretty, secret garden. The room was super clean, nicely decorated with a comfy bed and nice linen. Cupboard with lockable drawer and safe were nice features. No mosquitos, which is rare in Canggu. Hot shower and free drinking water in the kitchen were great. Very friendly, helpful owner. I had a wonderful stay at a Kuba Gene guest house in Bali. I stayed for 10 days in the September 2024. The room was spacious, clean, and filled with natural light, featuring beautiful furniture and white tiles. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The internet connection was reliable, with speed test results showing 62.2 Mbps for downloads and 67.1 Mbps for uploads. The large glass doors opened onto a generous balcony, which was equipped with two chairs and a side table, perfect for enjoying the mornings. While the bathroom was clean, there were a few areas that could benefit from some improvements. The room was cleaned daily, and it included 3 towels (2 big and 1 small), a safety box and a closet with a key for added security. Bed sheets and towels are changed every 7 days. Additionally, the air conditioning unit worked well, and there was always warm water available. The house featured an open kitchen and a drinking water machine that provided both hot and cold options. The guest house is run by locals, with a friendly owner and staff. The yard was beautifully maintained and lush with greenery, and they have a dog and cats. The location of the guest house is excellent, among charming stores, cafés and restaurants. It’s just a 15-minute walk to Love Anchor, which is in the central part, though Canggu has good and popular stores and bars all over the place. During my stay, pavement was added along the guest house street, making it safer and more convenient to walk to the beach and the central area. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Bali.

The bathroom could use some improvements, as it experienced issues with humidity and the presence of flies.

Small boutique kinda place. Convenience store out the front and a few restaurants and a pharmacy nearby. Not too far of a walk to other venues and easy to get a scooter or taxi from. Comfy bed.

My room wasn't very private, ground floor with floor to ceiling windows and a staircase directly outside. Couldn't just chill with the blinds open without other guests looking directly into my room. Would be better with some soft light blinds. Also no exhaust fan in the bathroom. No bin in the room.

Room was big enough, bright during the day. AC was working really well, hot water, shampoo and gel shower. Clean room, comfy bed, clean bed sheets. Very kind ppl at the reception ☺️

The sink in the shower wasn’t clean when I checked in (found someone’s hair there) My bad, I didn’t inform or complain about it, as I was just tired from a long travel. Also, the room was facing the stairs, so I was seeing everyone go up and down. Perhaps they could see me too. Not to be seen I had to keep my room with curtains closed all the time.

The location was great, very eqsy to get atound, especially with Gojek or the scooter rental. The hosts were nice and helpful with all matters. Also, I like the spacious, comfortable and clean room!

Cleanliness of the kitchen/common area (especially towels). Also my towels of the room weren’t changed during my stay (3 weeks), but I also did not ask for it. The thing that annoyed me, was the daily throat clearing sounds of a family member next door. I do not like to woken up by this, nor be confronted by it during the day.

Super private and quiet room with a massive balcony to relax. You would not believe you are in such a busy area of Canggu. The bed was really comfortable as well. Staff was nice and helpful, gave us a hand with luggage and organised a trustworthy driver. Many food options right outside or within walking distance.

Unfortunately, we could only stay one night as we had already planned a stay in the North.

The room is good for work as it has big working place. Wi-Fi is super fast. Good room cleaning, nice balcony. It’s quite place despite location, but can be a bit noisy in the morning, starting 7:00 because of a kids. But I have a deep sleep so it wasn’t a problem most of a time.

Overall, it was a nice place, and I think I will come back one day. However, there are some improvements that could be made. For instance, the pillows were too big, and I ended up sleeping without them. It would be great to clean the kitchen area every day, especially to throw away garbage, as it starts to smell very fast. Additionally, the refrigerator needs some organization, as it was often full and contained rotten products. Perhaps guests could be asked to mark their food and throw it away after they leave.

This place is super clean and the service is very good. The staffs are willing to help anytime we had any questions. As for the room, they were quite spacious and I got the one with a balcony (its was very spacious) The beds are big and comfortable. At first I didn’t quite like the pillows but found out they had a softer/less firm option and made the swap for us immediately. Honestly, the best guest house I’ve stayed in Bali till date!
