Great lodging for backpackers and hikers. Outdoors options available .
This property was quaint and quiet with very helpful staff. It was quite a ways from Flåm but it was a pretty drive up the mountain.
Great location in the middle of nowhere.
Quaint & remote property with nice natural surroundings, but also quite far from town. Our room was quite mediocre. Breakfast was good.
The room is very small
This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep you full while hiking. A bit out of the way, but isn't that what we are looking for in the wilderness? If it wan't so far from the US, I would be staying here on all of my hiking adventures.
Although a little bit of a drive from anywhere, it was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the apartment, it was really big and the porch was just amazing. Dinner and breakfast was really good too. They did charge an extra fee for cleaning unless you cleaned it yourself. We had 4 women so we just did it ourselves.
Ligger dejligt ude i naturen
When we arrived in the town of Aurland, we found out the hotel is 40 minutes up in the mountain. The taxi wanted to charge us $100.00 to go in each direction. The tunnel was also closing and opening at certain times. We ended up having to book a hotel in the town and pay an additional $300.00 to stay in town near the ferry pier. The hotel manager did agree to meet the taxi driver at the tunnel entrance, but it was still very stressful and expensive. It simply wasn’t made clear enough in the reservation that the hotel is 40 minutes away from the town of Aurland. With all this said, we never actually stayed at the hotel.
Just what we wanted!! In the middle of nowhere, peaceful and what a place to wake up!!!!! Thank you
A bit out of the way (40 mins from Geiranger) but nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
This hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast was limited; staff was fairly accommodating; room were clean and comfortable.
Soggiornato solo una notte di passaggio. Stanza un pó piccola per tre persone, dotazione minimal ma silenziosa e pulita. Colazione non particolarmente varia ma nel complesso buona. Personale gentile ed accogliente
Very nice place in the literal middle of nowhere with extremely clean and comfortable rooms, conscientious staff and a fine breakfast.
Great hiking trails around the property. Old Norwegian mountain charm.
This place is amazing! Lots of hiking options right out the back door, access to row boats, and nice breakfast buffet. The staff is also super nice and helpful.
A quiet place, not that far from Flam
Breakfast could have more options like smoked salmon. Apartments do not have hair dries. It is a great retreat. A bit distant to flam but the driving along The zigzagged tunnels is fun.
Basic hotel (cabins) far from everything. We wanted to stay in Aurland or Flam but there was nothing available
Very quaint and quite facility in the perfect location for hiking
Though the room was fairly small, our expectations were exceeded. The staff was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was excellent and it was the lowest price that we saw in Norway. Thoroughly enjoyable. Not 5 stars but more than we expected.
Great location very beautiful area about 30 minutes from Flam. Super quiet basically the only place in the area.
Rustic
This property is not really an hotel it’s more like a youth hostel. Charming but dated and basic. Only cold breakfast is served.
Wonderful place! The cabins are comfortable, the entire place is in the middle of nature. Staff are friendly and the food is great
The staff was so warm and welcoming! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and we’ll equipped.
The view, ftiendly staff and great breakfast.
