Continental Xin Hao Hotel and Resort vs Similar Hotels

Negative sentiment regarding room quality due to previous experience.

Generally modern and well designed according to several reviews, but issues cited (poor bathroom layout, shower leakage, limited storage, sliding partitions reducing privacy, occasional smoke smell) bring the rating down.

Rooms may not have been as expected, indicating a concern about cleanliness.

Mixed signals: several guests report clean rooms and well-kept public areas, but there are specific negatives (one room smelled of cigarette smoke, pool water described as cloudy) that lower the score below target.

The location has a great sea view, contributing positively to the experience.

Mixed: great sea views and central position noted, but surrounding environment harms the score (construction, abandoned buildings, sewage/odors, poor beach quality reported).

Friendly staff and good service provided.

Consistently praised: staff described as very welcoming, professional, friendly and prompt across multiple reviews; reception and service repeatedly highlighted as a strong point.

Good food, especially the burgers, contributes positively.

Breakfast is frequently described as good and varied, and some enjoyed the restaurant; however critiques include ordinary/poorly organised buffet and restaurants closing early, producing a mixed but slightly positive score.

Amenities like food were positively noted.

Many amenities are recent and attractive (pool with sea view, cigar bar, restaurants, parking and beach access), though some guests reported pool water problems and minor construction at the pool bar — overall amenities are a strong point.

Good food and service provided at reasonable prices.

Several guests explicitly state the price does not match the experience and expected standards; perceived poor beach, neighborhood issues and some service/room shortcomings reduce value perception.
