Atoh's Maison

This charming house is set in a beautiful garden and has a small, pleasant swimming pool. The location is very quiet, and the beds are large and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The city center and restaurants are about 10 minutes away by tuk-tuk, which can be called from the reception desk with a 10-minute wait. You can arrange a tuk-tuk for day trips to the temples through the host at an affordable price. We had an exceptional driver, Mr. Bol, whom we recommend.

Der Pool war sehr erfrischend nach dem Besuch des Angkor Wats. Wenn man die App Grab hat, kann man sehr gut einen Tuktuk ins Zentrum bestellen. Die Besitzer sind super freundlich, sehr zuvorkommend, haben uns bei Abreise viele Mangos mitgegeben. Auch der organisierte Transfer zum Flughafen hat wunderbar funktioniert. Wir haben die 2 Tage sehr genossen. Vielen lieben Dank dafür und bis zum nächsten Mal.

Atoh’s Maison is situated on the road to Angkor. It is about 4 km to the city centre. The accommodation provides free hire bikes, which can be used to reach both the city centre and Angkor. Atoh’s Maison was the best choice for me in Siem Reap. The excellent service was evident right from the start, when I was picked up from the bus stop free of charge. Due to a cold, I stayed longer than planned. Sitoh, the owner, and the entire staff went out of their way to ensure my comfort. I found the whole atmosphere very friendly, supportive and relaxed. Das Anwesen ist sehr ruhig und von einem sehr schönen gepflegten Garten eingenommen. Man konnte wunderbar den Vögeln lauschen. Einen Blick auf eine Sehenswürdigkeit haben wir allerdings nicht wahrgenommen. Die Gebäude sind stilvoll. Der Frühstücksplatz ist angenehm. Das Omelett ist besonders schmackhaft. Der Kaffee ist hervorragend. Die Gastgeber und das Team sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben effektiv geholfen, den Aufenthalt in Siem Reap nach unseren Vorstellungen zu gestalten. Gerne hätten wir dem kompetenten, charmanten, sympathischen Ehepaar und der Unterkunft 10 Punkte gegeben.

Aber leider war es nicht mit einem Restaurant ausgestattet. Das war auch ein Grund für unsere Buchung gewesen. Die Unterkuft liegt außerhalb des geschäftigen Stadtzentrums und in der Nähe ist kein passables Restaurant. Man hat uns Restaurants in der Stadt empfohlen. Und man kann ja für Aktivitäten in der Stadt ein TukTuk mieten. Dies wird aber bei einem mehrtätigen Aufenthalt lästig. Gerne hätten wir in dem schönen Ambiente der Unterkunft unser Dinner eingenommen.

Nous avons été contrariés par le bruit de la musique du restaurant situé juste à côté de l'hotel. Extrêmement forte et au moins depuis 17h jusqu'à 22h. Même si les chambres sont bien insonorisées, la détente à la piscine s'en ressent. Sitoh a bien bien compris notre problème et il semblait que cela était moins fort notre dernier soir. Autre remarque, sur le site la surface de la chambre était annoncée à 35m2, ce qui n'était clairement pas le cas.

A lovely house built by the owners, a Cambodian couple, with great attention to detail in both the furniture and overall aesthetics. The staff is warm and always helpful, while still respecting your privacy. A well-kept garden surrounds the property, with mango trees and birds hopping around. We were looking for a place that doesn’t feel like a resort, but rather a small hotel where you can truly enjoy your privacy, and that’s exactly what we found. We would highly recommend it!

Everything is perfect! Stay here! I didn't want to leave. It is such a lovely welcoming environment. It feels like a luxury home stay in the sense you feel like you know the staff and owners by the end of your stay and will miss them! The facilities are great, perfect room, gorgeous pool and lovely breakfast. They bring you various fruit whenever you are by the pool. The whole place is beautiful and is very tasteful and designed very well. Sitoh will organise all your tours which takes away the stress and you can just enjoy yourself. She speaks excellent English and also French very well. The dog you see around was rescued by them. It was a puppy out in the rain and 8 years later he's still with them. 🥰

Nos hospedamos en este Hotel cinco noches. Fue como un remanso de paz, todo muy bien cuidado y limpio. Esta ubicado entre la ciudad y los templos. Despues de pasar todo el dia andando, la piscina del Hotel era como un regalo mas. El personal atento y muy amable. La Señora del Hotel nos ayudo en todo momento. Lo recomendaremos a todos nuestros amigos, haremos lo posible por volver.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The place is spotless and very fresh. It is small and provides a personal experience. The location is a little out of town, we specifically wanted this, we had breakfast on a patio, by the pool, surrounded by trees and the sound of birds. The pool area was quiet and a real escape. A tuk tuk into town cost $3 and Sitoh arranged this whenever we needed it. Sitoh sat with us and arranged a schedule for the week, she organised an excellent English speaking guide, a driver and tickets. You couldn't ask for more. She made it very easy. I would definitely recommend here.

If you prefer to be in the middle of town, with a more standard hotel experience, then this would not be for you.

Hotel spełnił nasze najśmielsze oczekiwania. Jest bardzo czysto, śniadania są urozmaicone i przepyszne (między innymi ciepłe rogaliki z domowym dżemem). Ze strony właścicielki hotelu możecie liczyć na wsparcie w organizacji wycieczek. Atmosfera w hotelu jest rodzinna, wszyscy wokół są bardzo serdeczni. Szczerze polecam to miejsce na odpoczynek po zwiedzaniu atrakcji Angkoru, zwłaszcza orzeźwiającą kąpiel w zadbanym basenie.

Our stay at Atoh's Maison was very relaxing, especially after a long day out. The entire hotel was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Our bedroom balcony was the perfect place to sit and relax, and we really enjoyed the swimming pool. Sitoh and the staff were incredible throughout our stay and they even surprised my wife with selection of desserts on her birthday, making our stay extra special.

Everything, from your tableware to glasses to paintings, to sculptures is chosen with appreciation for the Khmer history, culture and simply great taste. I took so much inspiration from it // Breakfast is served, and everything is fresh - you can choose from continental, Cambodian or French breakfast. I never tasted such tasty, freshly made croissants, and living in Brussels, I know to value a good croissant. Also the Cambodian fried rice is made fresh and it tastes like heaven. // Staff is always present and always invisible. If need help, you’ll get it, if you don’t, you’ll have a feeling you are all by yourself // The pool has salted water - what a delight and refreshment after spending a day visiting Angkor Vat temples. You are always served water and fruit when you go to the swimming pool. // The room is large and comfortable. We got an extra bed for our three-year old // You’ll get tuk-tuk or taxi organised // The location is perfect - only 12 min walking distance from the ticket office, there are many great places to eat nearby - seafood, Cambodian barbecue, Khmer cuisine - and you can order Grab and eat at the terrace. We were offered plates and cutlery, which was amazing. // Simply great experience with great hosts who care about people and who do something they love.

Very warm people who were kind and thoughtful in looking after their guests. Someone was always there to help with any question. I had a tour of Angkor Wat with excellent guide organized by the hotel. Lovely garden and pool. Very good breakfast.

It’s a little bit of a way out of town and there is nowhere obvious to eat nearby so you need to go in or order a Grab delivery. But it’s easy to grab a tuk tuk and takes only 10mins. You get to see more of the life of ordinary people on the trip in and out, so mostly I enjoyed it — though if you want to spend a lot of time in Siem Reap it’s perhaps not going to be an ideal location.

Cambodia was a new experience for my wife and me, though I had been to the Far East before. We had a wonderful time. There were two keys to the success of our visit, an excellent Tour Guide and a wonderful place to stay. Full credit for the latter goes to Mrs. Sitoh Ho, who invested so much to build this wonderful B&B and the large and beautiful garden that surrounds it. Atoh's Maison offered us a spacious and comfortable room with nice decor and excellent amenities (a/c, hot water, good mattress, breakfast, etc.) Housekeeping was fine. A courteous and diligent tuk tuk driver provided both B&B security and transport locally (for a modest charge); he took us to an evening event, for example, then waited to bring us home. Our lovely hostess, Sitoh, spoke very good English, and was well connected in the community. So she was a great source of advice and insight; it seemed she was there and available about 25 hours a day. There is a good restaurant literally next door, and though we were always the only foreigners eating there, we never felt awkward. While Siem Reap is a large city, we found the streets to be relatively quiet and uncrowded. We also never experienced any concern about safety. It's a long way from home, but the idea of a return some day is certainly tempting.

Regrettably, Sitoh couldn't control the weather. Otherwise our stay was just about perfect.

We slept in a beautiful, large house in the middle of a garden. A magical place with the kindest hostess who organized a trip to Angkor Wat for us and daily massages, where a driver would pick us up and take us for the massage. It's a pity we stayed there for such a short time.

We chose Atoh's Maison after reading all the positive reviews. We were not disappointed! Exceptional accommodation set in beautiful gardens. Tremendous hospitality from Sitoh and all her staff. Tasty breakfasts. Space to relax on your terrace, in the gardens, or at the pool. The location allowed for the opportunity to be closer to day to day living in Siem Reap but always the tuk tuk at hand (thanks Cheang) to take you wherever you wanted to be in town or out to temples and beyond. Local places to eat near the accommodation if required. We stayed five nights and as each day passed we liked being there even more and more. A real feeling of sadness leaving everyone at Aton's Maison. We would definitely recommend.....our favourite accommodation for some time.

Beautiful garden and beautiful people

Everything is so beautiful. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and will assist in any way they can with bookings, tuk tuks and taxis. The breakfast are delicious and they pack them when you hade an early morning tour.

The only draw back of this property is that it is far away from the centre. There are no amenities like 7/11 or chemists nearby so you need to get a tuk tuk. The bonus of this is it is quiet and you can walk to a restaurant or two.

Lovely little place with exceptional staff. We felt well cared for from start to finish. Staff were wonderful and attended to her every need. Room was large, clean and very comfortable. The pool was gorgeous as was the overall setting. It felt like a little oasis. Such a hidden gem. Great value for money. It was easy to book Tuktuks to get you to and from the city centre. Specia little touches such as towels on the sunbeds, fresh mango & crisps with cold water served as you arrived at the pool, incense sticks burning in the evening and lights & fans turned on in lounge areas, creating a very cozy ambience. Great peaceful setting with beautiful plants that was away from the craziness and congestion of downtown. Rooms had a traditional elegance and the lemon grass diffusers gave an extra exotic freshness to the rooms, staff was always smiling and quick to get answers. Very accommodating with making “to go”breakfasts and doing laundry.

Did not find great restaurants within walking distance, but that’s what tuk tuks are for😀

This place is BEAUTIFUL! The tropical gardens are incredible, lovely pool to relax in, the breakfast was fantastic and plentiful, the beds super comfy and rooms impeccably clean. Sitoh and her team made us feel very spoiled, every need anticipated and taken care of. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Great location if you want to be away from the busy city center. Walking distance to restaurants. The friendly and informative host was excellent and helped arrange for my temple tours with guides and driver, as well as transfer to/from airport. Breakfast was filling and you were given choices! And for my early departure for one of my tours, they packed breakfast for me and I didn't even have to ask for this. Really above and beyond service! If I am ever in SR again, I wouldn't hesitate to book!

One day I returned from my tour and I noticed that the door to bathroom was open which allowed for mosquitoes to be in bedroom (I noticed a couple of mosquitos in bathroom when I first checked in). Just make sure to keep door to bathroom closed.

Wonderfully secluded in a luscious garden, the hotel is a great place to relax after sightseeing and rest by the pool. Rooms are spacious and clean, a kettle for a cup of tea in the room and the owner generously offers fruit as a snack. They also organised for us a guide and a car and were always on hand to help. It felt like home away from home. Breakfast is either western (you can order eggs), or local (rice or curry). The location is easy to get to places but away from the smoke of the central part of siem reap. Being your earplugs as sometimes you can hear the pounding of music from the neighbouring properties, though not overwhelming. We recommend to get your sightseeing done in the morning, and when the heat strikes after lunch, enjoy tranquility of the garden and the pool.

We have really appreciated the kindness of the hosts! We arrived really late and the owners' son took us with their car to the supermarket. All the guest were invited to the New Years party organised within the premises, and we enjoyed spending the special night with their family and friends. As far as the accommodation is concerned, it is conveniently located close to the Temples and the city centre, excellent rooms and pool, I would absolutely recommend this place!

Our stay felt like being at home with Sitoh and her family. Everything was super clean - with daily room cleaning - and comfortable in a relaxing way. We happily spent extra time here. And there are good food options, both at the hotel and nearby.

Absolutely amazing stay in Siem Reap -- the place and staff were so friendly, helpful, and serene that it was hard to leave and explore the city. From the initial greeting with tea and snacks, to the daily choice of breakfast, to the staff who remembered and greeted you everywhere, to the recommendations and assistance planning activity, to the beautiful rooms and swimming pool and plants, I could not have asked for more.

We stayed at Atoh’s Maison for six nights and it was lovely! The rooms are great, the garden and swimming pool are beautiful and the people are fantastic. They are super friendly and caring. We also booked several tours with them (Angkor and Kulen) which were really nice. We were at Atoh’s Maison with New Year’s Eve and all the guest were invited to celebrate together with their family. Great end of 2024 and start of 2025!

The hotel owners were incredibly welcoming. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a complimentary drink and a plate of fresh fruit. They even remembered my name! While relaxing by the pool, they anticipated my needs, regularly bringing me water without my request. Breakfast, included in the stay, offered a diverse selection, including Khmer, American, and Continental options. The Khmer-style mansion itself is a stunning and authentic masterpiece, reminiscent of Angkor Wat in its intricate details. The spacious room boasted an exceptionally comfortable bed. I am truly impressed by the ambiance and the exceptional hospitality.

The hotel and staff were exceptional. Unfortunately, the restaurant next door played loud music until midnight, making it difficult to sleep early. This was beyond the hotel's control, but it was a minor disappointment.

I spent 6 nights at Atoh's Maison and my stay was exceptional. Sitoh and her husband are wonderful hosts, going out of their way to make every guest feel special.. all with a warm genuine smile. Everything was great: the location, the cleanliness, the food, the pool, the wifi and the warmth of hospitality. Thank you Sitoh for everything. The surroundings, accommodation and the staff were extremely excellent. All of the staff went well out their way to make our stay most pleasant & comfortable. The inclusive breakfast was absolutely superb as well as the dinner provided at a little extra cost. The airport transfer they provide was very affordable. Their in house tuk tuk service buy their driver Neang, was very affordable also. Neang is a great & very safe driver with terrific sense of humor & just such a beautiful person along with the rest of the staff.

There was nothing we didn't like, as everything was excellent. We will be returning to Atoh's Maison when next in Cambodia. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing for accommodation with peacefulness & tranquillity.

Sitoh, her husband and staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. They treated us like members of their own family and were always so willing to go the extra mile. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. The garden is stunning and every day we ate all sorts of different fruit directly from the garden. We also had dinner there several times and the food was delicious. The swimming pool is gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The hotel is very well located - just a short Tuk Tuk ride from the city centre. Atoh’s Maison truly is a little slice of paradise. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We had an amazing stay at Atoh's Maison, the accomodation is beautiful and Sitoh, her family and their staff made us feel absolutely comfortable. 100% recommended!

The hosts were welcome and very informative about the area and suggested an itinerary for my length of stay. The property was located a short distance from the main town, giving you a feeling of being in the centre but remaining away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre. The facilities were great and the pool was a welcoming treat after a long day visiting the many temples in the area.

Much more than a beautiful Guesthouse: madame Sitho, the owner, created an oasis of taste and comfort. We planned originally to stay three nights, but the magic atmosphere of this guesthouse and the uniqueness of Siem Reap and the lost city of Angkor made us change our plans and we extended for other three nights. The maison is tastefully decorated with traditional masterpieces. Ikat silk pillows, carved sandstone and carved wood decorations embellishing the elegant wooden house where the rooms for guests are set. Fantastic clean. The garden surrounding the maison is a refreshing oasis with a swimming pool. Delicious Breakfast and meals are prepared with care and customized according to guest’s preference. Moreover Sitoh is a passionate host, much caring for her guests and able to organize made-to-order excursions to the countryside and more remote temples like Kho Ker and the Roluos temples. We will definitely recommend Atoh’s Maison to friends and to everybody who is looking for an authentic Khmer experience far away from the mass touristic hustle and bustle.

This lovely Khmer-style home is the very definition of graciousness and welcome. Sitoh and her staff could not do enough for me during my stay, from providing breakfasts of fresh fruit grown on the property to arranging temple tours to suggesting other activities (like the Phare circus, which I recommend). The property is clean and elegant and the people are warmly kind. I'm especially grateful to the staff driver, Natat, who showed me around in fine style.

ATOH Maison is quiet, safe, with easy parking. The staff are great, and the food is excellent!

Staying with Sitoh was a highlight of our trip. The grounds are so peaceful and full of fruit trees, the pool is stunning, the breakfast delicious and the rooms (we had two adjoining rooms downstairs) were spacious and stylish. But the best thing about staying at Atoh’s Maison is Sitoh, her family and staff. They made us feel at home, and did everything to make our time special - giving us fruit from the garden, organising transport to the ruins, they even have lovely tuk tuk driver Neang on hand to drive you wherever you want to go. It’s so much better than staying in a hotel chain. We were so sad to leave. Highly recommended!

Atoh's Maison is a hidden gem that I can't recommend too highly! It's a gorgeous old-style Cambodian house, newly renovated and decorated with great care, set inside a lush garden with a pool -- much nicer than staying in the center of hectic, touristy Siem Reap. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and atmospheric. Sitoh, the owner, is so thoughtful and hospitable, and she serves a delicious breakfast with many a la carte options; she can also put together a nice box of bread and butter and hard-boiled eggs if you're going on an early temple tour.

The location is actually quite good for getting to Angkor and there are some restaurants nearby on the road, but it is about ten minutes outside of town. But that's quite a quick and cheap tuk-tuk ride. The place is a little bit hard to find, tucked down a driveway; the driveway entrance is next to a restaurant, but you can't hear any noise from the restaurant or the road once you're actually on the property. Watch out for mosquitos -- not in the room, but when you're eating outside.

The accommodation and the team are absolutely recommendable. The entire house is furnished with great attention to detail and the tradition of this area. We were very well looked after so that we felt completely at ease. The children loved the saltwater pool and we also loved the beatiful garden. The entire property is a small family business that is run with a lot of dedication and attention. We also liked the location, as it is not very far to the temples, but the city is also not too far away and easy to reach by tuk tuk. Many thanks once again to Sitoh and her team. We would love to come back.

We have traveled a lot but this place in Siem Reap is something very special that everyone should see and experience at least once! We were given such a warm welcome at the airport and driven to a dream accommodation that ultimately felt like a little home. Everything was absolutely perfect and exceeded every expectation! The cozy rooms, the loving staff, the beautiful pool, the entire tropical jungle complex, the delicious breakfast, the personal tuk tuk rides around the entire Angkor Wat temple complex, the other excursions with insights into local restaurants (away from the hectic pub/tourist street) were also unique and will remain in our memories! Fabulous place, beautiful well-equipped, spacious room and lovely outside seating area, great pool and attentive owners. Wish I'd had more time to spend just at the hotel! Conveniently located between Siem Reap center and Angkor Wat. Possibility to cycle there using the hotel's free bicycles available. Can highly recommend everything about this hotel and give it more than 10/10 if I could. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Sitoh and husband for such a lovely stay!

Lovely spot, lovely pool and garden, rooms and outdoor space are beautifully decorated with genuine art. The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. The meals are great, home cooked and good value. The hosts are lovely people, very attentive and caring, they were above and beyond helpful and helped us organize our sightseeing. They have a tuk tuk driver at a reasonable rate, he is also lovely, he gave us cold water and cold cloths to cool off at every stop.

We loved the luxurious bedroom and bathroom, the bed was so comfortable and the pillows were heavenly. We loved the clean saltwater pool and the tropical garden with fabulous plants. The house was full of interesting art , antiques and sculptures. But most of all we enjoyed and valued the friendly and hospitable hosts, thank you both so much. We felt we experienced a bit of paradise, it was so relaxing and you cared for us.

Everything. It was a memorable stay. The staff in the hotel are incredible. They go above and beyond to help guests with whatever they need. They are so kind and we already want to return. The rooms, pool, breakfast and everything was perfect. Could not recommend more.

Everything! The resort is absolutely perfect in every way. The gardens and pool are stunning and our room was very clean, comfortable and beautifully cared for. The pool was also salt water which was much nicer to swim in than chlorine. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and we felt we were treated more like friends than guests. We were offered complimentary fresh mango from the gardens which was so delicious. We were just so sad to leave and wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect location for viewing the temples also and the APOPO land mine rat project. Would recommend 100%.

The property is beautiful, the building itself is beautifully finished in timber with fans and big glass windows (AC too but we didn’t need it). The garden is full of beautiful trees and plants as well as edibles. The pool is brand new with lovely salt water. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and helpful with so much knowledge about Siem Reap and Angkor. They understand that travellers have different plans for visiting Angkor and can help with whatever plans you have (we went by bikes one day, remork the other two with a day off in the middle). They are so friendly and accomodating and speak many languages including French and English. Delicious breakfast with variety each day. The property is so nice that we wanted to stay longer just to hang out at the guesthouse more. The location is fantastic. Away from the busy big hotels and very close to lots of great local restaurants popular with Khmer families. Also very close to the Khmer night market, which is full of food and some crazy amusement rides. We also appreciate that the hotel does not use plastic bottles and uses refillable drinking bottles and shower products.

Beautiful small maison in a lovely garden with a refreshing pool, rooms have everything you could need and were spotlessly clean. The breakfast is delicious, they will make evening meals on request for you, nice vegetarian food available too. One of the closest places to Angkor Wat, and only a short tuk tuk ride to the centre of busy Siem Riep town. The owners are so friendly, kind and helpful, they organised my airport arrival and departure, which is a 30 minutes drive by car from the new Airport SIA, I had great daily tours with a tuk tuk to all of the amazing sites and of course the sunrise at Angkor Wat, arriving before the crowds at most temples, and a definite need for the sunrise to get a great position for taking photos, all again seamlessly organised by the hotel and great prices too. My thanks to all the family and staff, great job🥰

One of the best hotels in Siem Reap I’ve been staying so far. The room is so clean, the vibe is so peace and cozy and staffs are so friendly and helpful. I had a great time staying here and will probably be back again in the near future.
