Reviewed Oct 13, 2025My husband and I had a great time! Our host Lavern was very friendly and offered great tips on how to access local resources. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Reviewed Sep 7, 2025I did like that it was a pool on the property but it needed some maintenance it was cloudy a little dirty, i like how the rooms were spacious and A.C. in them. The main gate was having problems getting stuck but was resolved afterwards. One of the rooms we stayed in the tv remote was missing but there were tvs in other rooms which was convenient. The staff will wash your clothes for you per load which was helpful for the time i needed it, i had a small 2 loads and charged me $20 and i gave $5 tip. The staff were very helpful and Ms. Lavern is very helpful as well and you can call her when needed very reliable with the communication. Overall very nice property

The property is spotless and beautifully maintained, with a relaxing pool deck that’s perfect after a day of exploring. Just a short 10-minute walk to the beach and a shopping mall. The room was cool and comfortable with a lovely view of the peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Reviewed Jun 14, 2025Lavern’s Place was the perfect for my Ocho Rios trip. It’s super clean, safe, and located in a quiet area just a walk away from downtown and the beach. I went for a morning jog and felt totally at ease — even passed kids on their way to school. The AC worked great and the views from the room were a bonus, including the nice pool! The host was great too, everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

The owner is nice and understood my reasons for leaving. I had to find another place for myself and family to stay at the late minute which was a huge inconvenience.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2024This is a well maintained, reasonably priced and conveniently located guest house close (5 minute drive) to central Ocho Rios. My room was clean and spacious with efficient air conditioning, comfortable bed and a walk in shower. Guests are able to use the luxurious kitchen facilities within the guest house including a large brand new refrigerator. There was ample secure parking for my rent a car. The guest house was very quiet overnight so I got a good nights sleep whilst staying here. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Ocho Rios.
