Perfect little oasis in North west of Bali. We stayed in the Wooden House, which was private, clean and comfortable. Loved the shower under the stars, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved the morning service to the room. The food was delicious, and it was great to be able to go to their sister hotels facilities (pools with great views, restaurants, gym, etc.)

The Wooden House said it would have a garden view, but the view was actually partially of the reef restoration hut - obviously the hut existing is good but the photos/description was a bit deceptive. The facilities (billards, paddle) also cost extra which seems a bit crazy given how much it costs to stay here. Also the photos of the gym next to Mangroove are a bit deceptive as its owned by a different company and not included.

The property is incredibly well curated, with perfect touch of style, great friendly staff, and other good services like a pristine pool, paddle court, gym and good restaurant. Useful shuttle to Suberkima Hills if you want to enjoy massage and great partnership with local NGO Metamorfosa if you want to enjoy coral restoration and other water activities.

Väldigt fint, välstädat och billigt. Hostelsängen låg som i en egen hytt så det var privat. Eluttag och lampa vid sängen. Hjälpsam och vänlig personal. Nära aktiviteter som snorkling och safari i nationalparken.

Det var inte socialt alls. Jag såg typ inga andra gäster och var helt ensam i mitt dormitory. Det funkar om man som ensamresenär vill ha några dagar för sig själv, för du kommer vara ensam.

Prachtige gym en leuk opgezet. Goed eten in restaurant en echt onwijs leuke ober waarmee we lang hebben gekletst.

- Bij aankomst lieten we een per ongeluk glas vallen en daarvoor wilde ze relatief veel geld ontvangen voor 1 glas. Kan gebeuren en soms moet je betalen, maar de manier waarop voelde we ons niet heel welkom. vooral vreemd voelde is dat je van dat geld 6 glazen had kunnen kopen. -Toen we aankwamen vroegen ze of we hulp nodig hadden met koffers. Wij vertelden ja graag! :) Zeggen zij “ow echt? Neeeee”. Wat is dat voor een antwoord? Vraag het liever dan niet . - In de nacht slecht kunnen slapen door luid karaoke, dat stopte laat middernacht. Mensen hadden microfoon en speakers mee en dat mocht gewoon. en paar uur later stond de moskee zijn gebed doen. Dus onze nachten waren echt behoorlijk slecht helaas. - kamer helemaal donker niet echt fijn om te zijn.

Het personeel voelde een beetje nep. Alsof ze aardig deden om meer maaltijden en drankjes te verkopen.

Niet een typisch hostel maar met een chique sfeer rond het restaurant en andere faciliteiten. Ik had een prive-huisje en dat was comfortabel en schoon. Er zit een goede duikschool aan het einde van de weg. Dit hostel maakt onderdeel uit van een luxe hotelcomplex dat iets verderop op een heuvel ligt. Een aantal van de faciliteiten zijn daarom gedeeld en er gaat een gratis shuttleservice op aanvraag heen en weer. Als ik had geweten hoe fantastisch de sauna met het ijsbad waren, dan had ik dat zeker vaker (en langer) gedaan, boek mee om in de theetuin tussendoor wat te lezen. De fietstour (mountainbike) is ook echt een aanrader!

Het complex ligt erg afgelegen en er is geen Grab/Gojek (soort Uber) in dit deel van Bali. Ik kwam specifiek voor het duiken (wat geweldig is bij Menjangan) maar wanneer je de omgeving wilt verkennen is dat lastig om zelfstandig te doen, wanneer je geen eigen vervoer hebt. Het geluid van meerdere moskeeën vanaf 4.30 in de morgen, wilde ook niet wennen; oordopjes mee dus!

Przede wszystkim jest to bardzo spójne miejsce. Jestem oczarowana jakością materii z jakiej powstała ta przestrzeń. Przestrzeń wspólnych sypialni jest tak samo zadbana jak przestrzeń prywatnych pokoi. Pozytywnie zaskoczyło mnie rozwiązanie "pudełek" do spania, które zapewniają prywatność. Nie spotkałam się nigdy z czymś takim w hostelu. Jedzenie w restauracji wspaniałe.

Zastanawia mnie jakie wynagrodzenie dostają pracownicy. Widać było, szczególnie w restauracji, że jest tam jakiś rodzaj systemu prowizyjnego, który może powodować pośpiech i nachalność.

I stayed here as a solo traveler for 3 nights in the dormitory and initially intended to extend my stay. The location is beautiful, with a small mangrove just behind the property, perfect for a short walk and sunset (if you don’t mind mosquitoes). The snorkeling trip to Menjangan was also a highlight, and I would recommend it for the location itself ,although swimming through so much plastic was sadly overwhelming.

That said, the overall experience was mixed. I chose this option over a private room in nearby guesthouses (similar price range) mainly because it looked like it offered many facilities and activities. In hindsight, I somewhat regret that choice, as besides paddle, most amenities were not actually on-site. Many of the advertised facilities are located at their twin hotel and require taking a shuttle, which isn’t always very convenient or reliable. Yoga sessions were often canceled even when weather was good. The property is still under construction, which affects the atmosphere, and loud restaurant music made the place noisier than expected, even when occupancy was low. One important note for solo travelers: reception is not available 24/7. I experienced a medical issue at night and initially had no on-site assistance. I had to rely on a friend to contact the hotel and help organize support. While the staff were great once reached and I’m very grateful for their help, this lack of night presence can be stressful in emergency situations.

der Außenbereich und die Bäder sind sehr schön. Es war sauber im Dorm und im Bad. Das Hostel bietet einen kostenlosen Shuttle zu einem weiteren infinity pool auf einem Hügel an, was bei Sonnenuntergang super schön war. Das Hostel liegt wirklich mitten im nirgendwo aber für ein paar Nächte Entspannung ist es super

meine Matratze war sehr unbequem, man hat sogar die Federn gespürt. Das Restaurant ist relativ teuer und ohne Roller (kann man aber ausleihen) um nach Permuteran zu fahren sitzt man irgendwie fest.

The restaurant it's great and everything we ate was perfect. Great coffee and great service there! Service at reception, there was one super friendly lady that unfortunately I forgot the name, she made all the difference on our stay, being very opened to help us with anything we needed and a big smile always. Can't say the same for the other one :/ Beds were super comfortable, pillow also great, aircon working perfectly and the nets for the mosquitos quite useful in this area. Bathroom in the private room inside the hotel it's super cute and better than the one from the private house. The shuttle offered to go to activities or restaurants in sumberkima hill it's also a plus. Pool also great.

I'm sorry for putting this up, but it's just not fair to other people not to know. Unfortunately, we picked the private rooms that are located a bit further down at the hostel, they are like single houses and their most expensive rooms. We expected a great stay and were so excited when arrived there, but that quickly went away when we heard the prayers and loud music that would go on the whole day, alternating each other. The staff helped us moving for the following 2 nights we had, and that made a massive difference, so I would suggest to book only the private rooms and not the private houses if you care for the noise. The other down side we didn't get the chance to go over, but was observed on both rooms, it's the showers pressure alternates in between no water/ low pressure/ some pressure, all in a few seconds in between... It was tough to have a proper shower. The chairs around the pool were clearly dirty and haven't been cleaned for a while. Some people would be smoking in the tv area during the day and night, which I wasn't sure if it was allowed. After asking someone at the hotel, they told I should just ask them to stop. Sorry, but that's not on me to do that and create a discomfort between guests. Soooo many mosquitos! Everywhere and even in the morning, so make sure to have repelent with you all the time. Have in mind, the area doesn't have gograb and gojek, I didn't know before arriving and was counting on it. Reception can still order you a car, but have in mind anything will be at least 100k one way, it doesn't matter if it's 6 minutes away (it's not the hotel's fault, but something for you to know)

Tout était vraiment bien, plein d'espace sont proposés ( flechette, ping pong, working...) ainsi qu'une multitude d'activitée. Une belle carte que ce soit au bar ou au restaurant, la qualité est au rendez-vous. L'équipe est vraiment compétente ( merci au barman qui est exceptionnel )

J'ai eu un peu de mal avec la literie, ou je m'enfoncait dedans ( c'est certainement une question de goût) Et les matelas du salon ou de la reception sente le chiens...

Dwa mocne punkty tego obiektu to: 1) duża ilość ciekawych udogodnień - obiekt pomaga zorganizować kajaki, czy wyprawę na wulkan, jest też padel i wiele innych możliwości 2) przewóz i współpraca z Sumberkima Hill - można zaaranżować bezpłatny trabsport do drugiego obiektu, dzięki czemu można uzupełnić pobyt o basen, masaż lub saunę - gdyby nie to, moja ocena byłaby niższa. Jest to bardzo istotny komponent, kierowca jest na wagę złota! Z racji, że nie są to okolice tak turystyczne jak Canggu, miło było zobaczyć balijską wioskę. Ludzie są bardzo przyjaźnie nastawienie, uśmiechnięci. Zaskoczony byłem tym, że do domku (byłem w drewnianym domku) nie wchodziły owady, co znaczy, że poprawił się poziom w porównaniu z wcześniejszymi komentarzami. Domek nie wygląda zbyt fancy, ale spełni podstawowe potrzeby - łazienka jest ok i jest internet. Jest to świetne miejsce, zwłaszcza jeśli ktoś podrózuje z grupą znajomych, samemu - niekoniecznie. Chciałbym również pochwalić panią od masażu, w Suberkima Hill miałem jeden z lepszych masaży na Bali oraz miłą panią z recepcji i sympatycznego managera restauracji

Hałas i plac budowy, zdarzało się, że koparka jeździła obok domku tak, że ten się aż trząsł. Zdaje sobie sprawę, że ta budowa w przyszłości podniesie potencjał hostelu. Nie mniej jednak, miałem świadomość że te problemy mogą wystąpić przed dokonaniem opłaty, stąd nie mam pretensji do obiektu. Jeśli dużo przebywasz w ciągu dnia poza hostelem, to to nie przeszkadza, nie mniej jednak wiele razy pracy trwały do późna w nocy. Ceny i dania w restauracji - myślę, że jest tu pole do optymalizacji, być może więcej promocji? Z racji tego, że Grab nie działa w tej okolicy, to wybór jedzenie jest ograniczony co daje się zauważyć przy dłuższym pobycie. Polecam od początku wynająć skuter. Niektóre dania mają zbyt wysokie ceny. Być może mogłyby być jakieś wieczory filmowe - myślę, że sala do seansów filmowych nie była częsta wykorzystywana. Trzeba się podłączyć własnym laptopem. Proponuję, by raz w tyg były wieczory filmowe organizowane przez hostel. W domku jest za mało światła - jest dość ciemno w ciągu dnia. Warto byłoby nieco polepszyć komunikację na whatsup jeśli chodzi o zamawianie przejazdów do Sumberkima Hill. Korzystałem z tej opcji wiele razy i często musiałem długo czekać na transport. Dodam, że nie jestem typowym klientem hosteli, był to mój pierwszy raz, więc moja opinia może być dość surowa. Dla miłośników hosteli będzie to super miejsce. Gdyby nie to, że była miła pani w recepcji, która pomagała mi w praniu i w organizacji tripów, moja ocena byłaby niższa.

We really loved this place — the interiors are beautifully designed, minimalist yet cozy, with lots of natural wood. We had a private cottage and there is a lovely pool on site. The property also gives access to great services in the nearby hotel, such as spa treatments, yoga sessions, and Thai massages. The on-site restaurant is absolutely 10/10, with amazing vegan options — everything I tried was delicious, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

the beach in front of the hostel is quite muddy and looks more like a fishing area, so it’s not really suitable for swimming. We stayed only one day and didn’t have a scooter, so we couldn’t explore much, but there might be nicer beaches around.

Leider gibt es im Umkreis keine Möglichkeit im Meer zu baden.

It is a really beautiful place, the staff were lovely and it has such a relaxed and cool vibe. I loved the pool and outdoor furniture. I really loved the option to get a shuttle up to the other resort to do the sunrise yoga it was really beautiful.

There were ants on my bed :( The Aircon in my room was very cold and the temperature wouldn't seem to change and then putting it on the sleeping setting made the bunk very hot. The mattress was sagging alot in the middle making it quite uncomfortable. Also it is a slight bit out of the way and the prices in the restaurant were quite expensive.

Das Hostel ist wirklich ein Traum. Man hat so viele Möglichkeiten zu entspannen und es sich einfach mal gut gehen zu lassen. Bin nach dem Aufenthalt im Mangroove Bay so relaxed wie schon lange nicht mehr. Unbedingt würde ich einen Tag im Spa mit Sauna und Massage empfehlen, es war der Hammer 👌🏻 Das Personal ist außerdem so freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt wirklich wundervoll, würde sofort wieder kommen, das nächste Mal dann aber länger 🤗 Danke an das gesamte Team ☺️

Le spot est incroyable pour une auberge de jeunesse. Les piscines, les commodités, salle de sport, activités, ect. Le personnel est souriant et réactif. La nourriture est délicieuse.

La navette gratuite n’est jamais à l’heure convenue. L’hôtel est excentré et le trajet pour rejoindre la ville est de 100 k, one way. Prix du restaurant un peu élevé.

L’hôtel est vraiment très agréable. Le complexe en lui-même offre de nombreuses possibilités, avec notamment des espaces communs intéressants : une petite cuisine partagée équipée d’un réfrigérateur et d’un point d’eau filtrée pour remplir vos bouteilles, ainsi qu’un rooftop avec quelques tapis à disposition pour pratiquer le yoga ou faire du sport à votre rythme. Le restaurant est également très sympathique : la carte est variée et les plats sont vraiment excellents. Le personnel est d’une grande gentillesse, toujours aux petits soins, avec un service attentionné et chaleureux. L’hôtel propose aussi diverses excursions : sorties snorkeling, balades à vélo ou encore expéditions jusqu’à Java.

Petit bémol : lors de notre séjour, des travaux étaient en cours pour la construction d’un terrain de paddle. Ce sera sûrement un atout à l’avenir, mais sur le moment, cela générait malheureusement beaucoup de bruit.

Idéalement situé à proximité du port, avec des départs pour l'île de Menjangan pour du snorkeling. Pas trop touristique. Le personnel très sympa et arrangeant. Une navette gratuite qui vous amène à un spa, des restaurants et une piscine très agréable (avec une très belle vue sur la végétation).

Tot molt be, l'únic que la neteja i manteniment podria ser més sovint. La paperera del lavabo s'omple ràpid si hi han varies persones a l'habitació compartida. Tenir cura d'omplir el sabó de mans i el paper de vàter. Dins les taquilles hi ha olor a humitat. He estat a dos llits, el primer no tenia bon matalàs i el segon llit si te bon matalàs.

L’établissement nous avait prévenu en amont qu’il y aurait des travaux à côté pour une extension, et nous ont fait un discount pour la gêne occasionnée.

It’s clean and very green.

We stayed when they had a construction next to the hotel. The staff has warned us about it hence the low price they gave us so had anticipated it, however, there was another noise occurred at the dawn from the mosque and a religious/cultural ceremony by the village/ neighborhood. Also we were informed that the construction would stop at 6 pm, but the workers who stayed at the site apparently blasted music through late night which we could hear loudly from the bathroom door.

They have community facilities which are used for other villas. There are shuttles for these. These are excellent. The hostel facilities are excellent too There is working desks, yoga place and the pool is really good. The suma restaurant which you can get by shuttle too, has amazing view for sunset. The ice cream was super tasty too. I highly recommend to go to this restaurant. If you walk up little bit from suma restaurant, there is a bar with a pool billiard.

J’y suis restée 3 nuits. Le dortoir est confortable avec un surmatelas. C’est propre. Très bon wifi. Belle piscine. Très bon restaurant sur place. Coin si vous souhaitez travailler. Cuisine à dispo. Salle de ciné.. on peut aller faire des activités nautiques ou si vous préférez profiter des environs. Salle pour faire work out ou yoga en hauteur. Il y a des travaux à côté mais pas du tout dérangeant. Ils sont en relation avec un autre restaurant qui fait salon de massage et sauna. Transport gratuit.

Wir waren in einem der beiden Holzbungalows. Es war modern und liebevoll eingerichtet, das Bad im Freien war sehr grosszügig. Das Hostel ist super ausgestattet, das hauseigene Restaurant ist total gemütlich und das Essen ist super. Nebenan befindet sich die Organisation “Metamorfosa”, mit der man Schnorchel- und Kajakausflüge zu sehr fairen Preisen machen kann. Der Schnorcheltrip zur Menjangan Insel war defitinitiv ein Highlight. Die Verbindung zum Sumberkima Hill Retreat bedeutet, dass man die Angebote dort (Spa, Pool, Restaurants…) problemlos auch in Anspruch nehmen kann (es gibt ein gratis Shuttle, das zwischen den beiden Unterkünften fährt). Nicht zuletzt ist das Personal ausserordentlich zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben uns während 5 Nächten total aufgehoben gefühlt und können das Hostel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Die Matratze war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hart. Momentan finden neben dem Hostel Bauarbeiten statt, welche man tagsüber sehr gut hört (wir bekamen jedoch eine Vergünstigung und meistens ist man ja tagsüber auch nicht in der Unterkunft). Abends hat man jeweils relativ lange noch Musik aus irgendeiner Bar in der Nähe gehört. Mit Ohrstöpseln war es ok.

Un séjour vraiment superbe à Mangroove Bay Boustique Hostel! La chambre que nous avions réservé était vraiment confortable avec tout le nécessaire de rangement! L’endroit est vraiment très mignon et ils mettent en place pleins d’équipements afin de pouvoir passer du bon temps sur place (terrain de pétanque, jeux de fléchettes, table de ping pong, coin télé, piscine). Quand nous sommes venus il y avait des travaux mais l’hôtel nous a dédommagés de 30% sur le prix de l’hôtel on a trouvé le geste commercial vraiment chouette! Nous avons mangé plusieurs fois au restaurant. La nourriture et les boissons étaient excellents! Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Mangroove Bay Boutique Hostel! C’est un joli endroit pour se détendre et passer du temps ensemble sur place! De plus il propose des cours de Yoga ainsi que d’autres activités (Gym, Muay-Thai..) en dehors de l’hôtel ! En terme d’activité il y a vraiment de quoi faire! Le staff est vraiment adorable!!

Un gros manque d’entretien dans l’hôtel si on regarde un peu le rapport qualité prix il est vrai que beaucoup de choses mériteraient d’être entretenu sur le long terme (fond de la piscine assez sale et peu entretenu.., mur de la salle de bain assez vieux et non entretenu également..) Pour le prix je pense que quelques travaux d’entretien serait nécessaire.. Pour ce qui est du restaurant tout est vraiment excellent néanmoins les prix sont assez chers pour des quantités assez minimes… Enfin concernant la chambre, tout était très bien hormis le fait que les chambres sont assez sombres.. malgré certains éclairages mis en place!

i spend the night in the dorm and got bitten all night by bugs. little red dots on my skin. dorm was very dirty with spider webs and spiders in the bed cabins, didnt look like it was cleaned very often or in the last months

Huge pool, awesome facilities and you can even go with a free shuttle to the associated resort on the hill (definitely recommended for sunsets!) WiFi is great, there is a working area, comfy chairs everywhere, movie room, fully equipped kitchen… Bar and restaurant are also great but not cheap. Budget travellers better cook themselves or go to the close warungs. Yes the offered activities like yoga or snorkelling trip are more expensive but worth their money.

The pictures during the snorkelling trip were not included in the price and they only told us after returning. Would have been nice to tell us in advance

The staff were incredibly helpful, even setting up a group chat with all the facilities to streamline communication. The food was delicious, and on my last day, I had the wonderful opportunity to sit with some of the staff who were making tipat. They kindly showed me how to make it myself, which was a fantastic experience. One of the best parts of staying at this hostel is its connection to the Sumberkima Hill Retreat hotel, its sister hotel. This means you have free access to most of their facilities, including two stunning infinity pools, which was truly next level. Additionally, there is a free shuttle bus that conveniently takes you from the hostel to the hotel and back.

I wasn't aware before arriving at the hostel, but the mangrove trees attract a lot of mosquitoes, so be prepared for quite a few bites. Additionally, the beach directly in front of the hostel isn't particularly special; you will need a boat to reach the best beaches in the area.

All staff that we met were super friendly and hospitable. The place feels new. They provide free filtered water. There’s a kitchen with a fridge and freezer where you can store you own food and drinks. There’s a pool, which we didnt use but it looks nice. A quiet rooftop area where u can do yoga etc. We stayed in one of the small wooden houses. It was cozy, comfortable bed.

Nothing of real interest in the neighboring area. Need to drive to get to a good beach or other places of interest. Also this property has a serious issue with mosquitos. Especially in the wooden house. The outdoor bathroom was absolutely full of them, and they got into the room as well.

The staff is really kind and helpful and the place is amazing. I really recommend you to spend some time there, which is a really quiet and relaxing paradise🌞

The cleaning service is just (in my opinion) a little too early in the dorms

Das Zimmer ist Mega schön und die Dusche im Freien ein Traum. Der Pool ist klein und sehr fein. Lockere und entspanne Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliches Personal. Zur Yoga Stunde morgens wird man mit dem Auto den Berg hochgefahren mit wahnsinnigen Ausblick über die Bucht. Die Lounges/Sessel/Couch im Restaurant sind so gemütlich.

Superbe confort, lieu particulièrement beau et agréable. Le service est impeccable et bienveillant. Un grand merci à eux pour le soin accordé au sein de l’hôtel.
