Le Gynandha est un petit havre de paix à l’écart du chaos d’Ubud. Nous avions toujours très hâte de retourner à l’hôtel après une longue marche dans le centre d’Ubud qui est extrêmement bruyant et achalandé. Il est nécessaire de marcher environ 5 à 10 minutes de la rue principale ou 2 minutes en scooter pour se rendre à l’hôtel, car il n’y a pas de voitures qui peuvent s’y rendre. C’était une bonne chose car c’est le fait d’être à l’écart qui permettait cette petite bulle de tranquillité avec uniquement les bruits de la nature aux alentours. Si nous avions à revenir à Ubud, ce serait dans cet hôtel ou dans le même secteur, considérant la proximité avec le centre et la tranquillité. Le petit chemin près de l’hôtel qui traverse les rizières a été notre highlight à Ubud! Nous avons particulièrement aimé le restaurant Pukako où nous avons déjeuné à deux reprises.

La propreté au niveau des serviettes de bain est probablement le point faible… difficile de dire si celles-ci étaient tachées ou sales, bref l’endroit en général vaut le détour mais cet aspect serait à travailler.

I had the bottom room which was dark. But very quiet.

So close to the rice fields and also close to all the action on the Main Street

Just some ideas for future guests comfort. Not enough shaded umbrellas around the poolside. Also there weren’t any sun beds around the lower pool. Some pool towels would be great instead of using regular room towels.

Ein Juwel mitten in Ubud. Sehr zentral und doch total ruhig, da rückversetzt von der Straße. Man ist zu Fuß in 8-10 Minuten am Wasserpalast und den Markthallen. Man kann entweder hinter dem Hotel durch die Reisfelder oder gleich vor zur Hauptstraße über einen schmalen Zugangsweg. Traumhaft schön angelegter Garten - und Poolbereich. Hatten eine Villa mit eigenem Pool - einfach nur traumhaft. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Gutes Frühstück a la Carte.

Hotel war super, Poolanlage ein Traum, sehr nettes Personal und Zimmer waren sehr schön und sauber.

Handtücher könnten sauberer sein und Frühstück war ok, aber nichts besonderes - lieber wo anders frühstücken gehen.

Le lieu proche de la grande rue commerçante, la piscine nickel, la vue sur les rizières, la piscine qui est utile et le personnel !

Juste la pente avant d'arriver à l'hôtel qui fatigue avec la poussette mais sinon rien de bien méchant !

La grandeur de la chambre, la literie, le balcon avec vue sur la piscine, la propreté, le petit déjeuner exceptionnel, le personnel et l’emplacement.

View from the room was definitely 10/10! And the location of the hotel too was perfect in terms of the main road where you had shops, restaurants and market. And the hotel is located away from the main road so it is perfectly quiet when at the pool area or in the rooms.

After reading the reviews we had a super good feeling about this hotel. Oh but we were disappointed… The hotel itself NOT 4 stars worthy in my opinion. The breakfast selection was very poor and not very pleasant. We ate there two time and the rest of the stay we went out to get breakfast. We had already paid for breakfast included but not even worth saving that money and eat at the hotel. Also the bathroom was absolutely horrible. The shower pressure was so bad and the temperature shifted all the time. We had a tub and if you leaned too much to one side it would shift. And we are talking about a massive stone like tub. Kind a scary situation. About the cleaning of the rooms. Again not good for a 4 stars hotel. We had to ask them to change our sheets because we noticed that they “just” made the bed. Also, sometimes the towels looked dirty. Not what you want to dry yourself in.

Beautiful tranquil oasis A perfect quiet retreat next to the paddy fields. Breakfast recommendation would be mixed juice and the smoothie bowl. Staff are beyond helpful, especially the amazing Komang.

Not thing

Everything was perfect at the Gynandha Ubud Cottage. It far exceeded our expectations. Situated right in the heart of Ubud yet perfectly secluded from the bustling main street. The views from the rooms out over the rice fields are incredible. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are excellent, with a beautiful swimming pool that blends perfectly into the hotel’s greenery. We’ve had two wonderful nights and we’d definitely book again.

The only downside – although it wasn’t a problem for us – is that the road leading to the hotel from the main street in Ubud is not open to traffic, and therefore there is no car park either.

Struttura grande e ben tenuta , il personale ci ha organizzato il trasporto per andare a prenderci al porto e riportarci all’aeroporto tutto ok! Posizione hotel ottima

Il percorso per arrivare non é dei migliori però con attenzione tutto é possibile.

Beautiful setting looking out across the rice fields, we stayed in the two bed villa. The team at the property were amazing, so friendly. Beautiful grounds, with a pool and lots of native planting.

Rien. Tout était simplement incroyable ! Le personnel, le petit déjeuner, le nettoyage de la chambre et des espaces en commun était parfait. En plus, le laundry EXPRESS était vraiment express hahaha après 2 heures on a eu nos vêtements.

We hadden de privé bungalow. Prachtig uitzicht over de rijstvelden. Heerlijk verblijf en personeel heel aardig.

Restaurant was prima, had gedacht dat uitgebreider zou zijn. Maar je zit zo in t centrum, dus niets te klagen.

Le personnel est génial et l'endroit est proche de tout (boutiques, restaurant, spa, etc...). Le petit déjeuner est servi rapidement. Idéal pour une famille de 4.

Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel up near the rice fields. Everyone was so friendly and incredibly helpful. They organised bike hire and cars for us and were an absolute pleasure to stay with. We had fireflies outside of our room which were magnificent and the room was lovely itself.

They did not remove any rubbish from the room apart from the bin in the bathroom so it kind of piled up whilst we were there across the 3 days. The path to the hotel is very narrow and a bit of a hike on foot which is not ideal if anyone has any mobility issues. Once there though - it is perfection.

Really feel like I should gate keep this property. Fantastic location, super close to everything while still feeling like you’re isolated. Staff were super friendly and room was exceptional. (Stayed Jr suite). Will certainly be back!

Very minor - bed slightly firmer than I would have liked, and the path to property is initially steep and a little uneven when walking, can be an issue at night/ gojek access.

Ligging, mooi centraal in Ubud, super aardige en mensen die met alles wilden helpen. Mooie ruime kamers. Uitgebreid ontbijt.

Bedjes bij het zwembad waren erg hard en daardoor wat minder comfortabel dan gehoopt.

Ubytování bylo opravdu okouzlující. Zaplatili jsme si dražší pokoj s výhledem na rýžová pole a soukromý bazén. Vše bylo krásně čisté a personál je moc milý. Snídaně jsou výborné. Je na výběr z lístku a objednává se den dopředu. Pokud zapomenete, nic se neděje a ráno si objednáte bez problému. Hotel je blízko do centra a zároveň dostatečně daleko od denního a nočního ruchu. Do hotelu nelze dojet autem, pouze na skútru či pěšky. Personál rád pomůže s kufry.

Breakfast options can be abit better and more cleaning needed in the private pool. The way to the hotel at night is abit dark as you have to walk through a narrow alleyway

Najbardziej nasza willa! Była przepiękna, czysta, z cudnym widokiem na pola ryżowe. Uważam, że lokalizacja noclegu jest genialna, w samym centrum ale jednak troche na uboczu przez co nie ma hałasu i można cieszyć się pięknem natury.

Jedyne do czego mogę się przyczepić to dosyć małe porcje śniadań.

Picturesque setting, lovely grounds, quiet location but easy to get to the main street and bars and restaurants. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Staff helpful in getting bags to and from villa at check in and check out. Options for room service.

Sun loungers needed some padded cushions for extra comfort. Building work happening directly behind hotel with some noise throughout day which could be heard in rooms.

This is a great place to stay but be aware that it is located away from the main road and access is only pedestrian (5 minute walk with an initial short uphill stretch) or motorbike. They come to meet you when you arrive and ferry your luggage by motorbike. It all works well but there is a walk involved every time you want to go out/come back.

La disponibilità dello staff è stata eccezionale e la struttura è in una zona molto vicina al centro di Ubud

Il fatto di non avere una lobby dove poter prendere direttamente i Grab è la cosa più scomoda. Devi camminare per 3-4 minuti per arrivare al pickup point. Infine in bagno c'era una finestra che era chiusa solo con della carta e del nastro adesivo, questo andrebbe sicuramente sistemato, perché è un peccato per una struttura del genere.

Das Hotelteam ist einfach liebenswert. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Ein Highlight war ein Spa-Tag mit privater Yoga-Stunde und anschließender Massage auf den Daybeds im Garten. Die Aussicht aus der 2-Zimmer-Villa ist filmreif. Man fühlt sich wie im Paradies.

La habitación era muy cómoda y amplia, con un servicio muy atento, de gran calidad. Además, el hotel tiene una decoración espectacular y no te da la sensación de estar tan cerca de calle principal de Ubud, se respira tranquilidad

La entrada al hotel no es sencilla para ir en coche, pero los empleados del hotel nos ayudaron con las maletas.

The room was beautiful! So much space. Pool was great, super relaxing and peaceful space. Big bath was great, big bed, smart tv.

Shower problems. One night no water. When water came back the water was not warm. Next day water was back a little, but still not warm enough. This was a big disappointment.

It was located in a very quiet area and was very peaceful. The staff were happy and always helpful and looked after us for our stay.

The access to the property is a little tricky but the staff helped us with a scooter ride to the main road.

Hvorfor ikke have lys i restauranten i løbet af dagen, hvis man gerne ville have folk til at købe noget, hvorfor ikke have håndklæder klar ved poolen (eller rydde op efter andre), hvorfor ikke lige redde sengen, når der skiftes håndklæder. Så mange små ting kunne gøre det så godt. Byg en bar op taget og hav den vildeste tag-terresse i byen. Byggepladsen LIGE bagved hotellet er nok fikset om et år eller to.

Smuk udsigt. Dejlig natur lige bag alt larm og støj fra hovedgaden. Hyggelig terrasse. God morgenmad og sødt personale. Skøn villa.

Staff, location, privacy. Service was exceptional, all staff were delightful, so very friendly and helpful. Fabulous location to the centre of Ubud, easy to walk everywhere. We decided to stay in a cottage with our own pool and it was such a treat to come back in the afternoon and have the option to relax in our own space. Rooms are beautiful, wonderful bed and pillows. Wonderful stay from stay to finish.

There wasn't really anything that we didn't like. My personal preference would be for a slightly more comprehensive mini bar and later access/ availability of the kitchen. But with the proximity to a multitude of minimarts and restaurants it isn't an issue.

Virkelig venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Stedet ligger helt perfekt i forhold til byen. Samtidig ligger det ned ad en sti, så der er ingen larm fra byen. På bagsiden er der rismarker, som man kan gå igennem indtil byen, hvis man vil have en smuk gåtur derind. Skønne og lækre villaer.

Morgenmaden og maden generelt var ikke noget specielt, og er kun derfor den ikke har fået 10. Et skønt sted at være.

It was conveniently located close to downtown Ubud, had a great vibe to it and had very modern and spacious rooms.

We found it hard to locate staff at times, but this rarely inconvenienced us

La villa et la piscine en elles-mêmes étaient très spacieuses et très belles. Le personnel était avenant et au petit soin. Toujours très propre.

L'emplacement est très compliqué d'accès même en scooter. Les peintures mériteraient d'être un peu rafraîchies (mais ça reste un détail au vu du prix). La cuisine était bonne mais ce n'étaient pas nos meilleurs repas à Bali (surtout petit déjeuner). Manquait un peu d'équipements pour manger à 4 dans la villa.

Would be bit tricky to get to with a pram for baby/child as narrow pathway next to water and the road you need to walk up/motorbike up is not smooth surface. 3-4 minute walk from the main road.
