The room was not very clean, they did not sweep under the bed, there was only one towel that we had to share, there was no hot water in the morning that we hsd to check out at 11 because gyzer was eventually fixed. fridge not clean was with left overs

The bathroom was horrible!! The whole ceiling was full of black mould. I could not use the bathroom at all. My husband drove me to the garage nearby to use for bathroom. I could not get myself to use the bathroom.

Not Clean at all. Couldn’t even use their shower. Staff was not professional at all. She actually only started organising the kitchen while I was there (removing dishes from the sink etc)

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026I had a mixed experience at this guest house. On the positive side, the place is beautiful, spacious, and very well located. It honestly exceeded my expectations in terms of appearance and overall setting. Also, Xola at reception was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. However, there were some serious cleanliness and maintenance issues that need attention. The dishes were not properly washed it looked like they were just rinsed off. There was no toilet paper provided in the bathroom, which is a basic necessity that should not be overlooked. The bedding was also a concern. The duvet cover was damp, which suggests it hadn’t dried properly before being used. The fitted sheet and pillowcases had noticeable brown stains and did not appear clean, which is unacceptable for guest accommodation. Additionally, the water temperature was inconsistent. Even when set to a normal temperature, it would suddenly turn cold and then switch back to warm after a few minutes, making it uncomfortable to use. Overall, while the property itself is impressive and the service from reception was great, the cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly affected my stay. These are fundamental areas that need improvement.

No sign outside to show business. Area seemed abit runned down. The was a problem with the internet, hence no internet. The rooms need some maintenance. Hot water is from gas, but after a while the water goes cold. The linen has stains and was torn. Lighting in the room and bathroom is not great.

I liked the place and the lady is very understanding despite the amount of times I texted her cause I wasn't familiar with how the smart TV works, the shower to give hot water and she was kind enough to borrow us an iron for our clothes. So it's a 10/10 personally.
Nothing negative, cause I messed up by thinking I could walk the distance from down town instead of taking a cab there😅😅

One small shortfall was the hot water, which took a while to heat up and didn’t stay warm for long. The pillows were also quite firm and a bit uncomfortable for my preference. Aside from that, the place was comfortable.

There’s mold in the bathroom. The dishes were not properly washed, sponge to wash dishes was dirty as well. The shower head doesn’t provide an even flow of water. No shower cap provided.

Our room was level with the parking area which is "paved" with loose stones. Cars in & out late at night was disturbing. I would suggest asking for a room away from the parking area.
