No pre check-in details sent beforehand, while our exhausted Technicians wanted to check-in, the hosts were un-reachable. Approximately 10 minutes later, at multiple contact attempts the hosts started answering their phones and upon opening the lock box for the key to the home, there was no key!!!! Our Technicians were then asked to go to a different location to get an additional key from another individual which was not the host and travel back to the home. How this entire scenario was made our problem after our Technicians were GUESTS I cannot fathom as we had to do all the work for check-in and no one thought to call and apologise or accommodate us with the problem which was not ours to solve. WHERE WERE THE HOSTS?????!!!!!!! And this after hours of travelling and working? We are very displeased, this is unacceptable at ALL COSTS! I insist on our money back or a voucher for an additional stay.

There were 2 rolls of loo paper - both were two thirds finished so essentially there was less than 1 full roll for 2 people for 3 nights. I think thats a bit rough.. The sugar and milk creamer powder were alive with ants - I think these should be stored in the fridge perhaps. The shower water doesnt drain so you have to be very careful when showering not to let the water rise high enough to over flow - this is a bit gross as you are standing in the water filled with whatever you have washed off your person and also, whatever is blocking the drain might be floating in the water you stand in. Lastly, I was exceptionally disappointed when I went to throw something in the bathroom bin and there was a wrapped up, used sanitary pad and a pad wrapper. People have periods, I get it but I dont want to see someone else's used wrapped pad in my loo bin. Its just not sanitary.

Reviewed Oct 28, 2025Top appartement op een hele mooie rustige lokatie.. Mooi, groot appartement met een heerlijk balkon. Vanaf het balkon had je een mooi uitzicht. Het appartement was heel comfortabel. Het was heerlijk om de wasmachine te gebruiken. Er was zelfs waspoeder. Zo attent. Het wasrek was ook erg handig. Je bent vanaf het appartement binnen een paar minuten in Plettenberg baai. Was veilig om 's avonds restaurants te bezoeken. We zouden een volgende keer hier graag terug komen.

And the customer service was exceptional, information provided by Wade & Heather prior to our arrival was extremely helpful. The highlight was the great customer support, Wade was awesome, he even ordered 2 hot water bottles and extra blankets for us, because it was chilly, cause of the cold front. The security personnel at the gate we great and helpful!

Reviewed Mar 25, 2025It's our first visit to Goose Valley and we were so glad we stayed here. It's so quiet and relaxing, and everyone we met on the premises was very friendly, especially the security guards at the entrance. The golf estate offers nice walks to the clubhouse and beach, the swimming pool is close to the unit too. A bonus is the shaded parking outside the unit. The beds and pillows were good, the kitchen had the necessities we needed. The fans in the rooms helped al lot, the estate is also close to nearby attractions, a mall and about 12min away from Beacon Isle main beach.
We were surrounded by such fantastic wine farms, but couldn't quite enjoy having a sundowner on the terrace with the thick 'joker' wine glasses as they didn't do the wine much justice. I completely understand why they are practical but improved stemware would go a long way for visitors outside of rage season :)

We couldn't access TV channels unless we used our own personal sign in details. The lamp caused the power to trip and we had to sort it out ourselves because the owners were away, we managed to sort it out but we did not need that bit of stress on our vacation. It was a minor thing but not something I wanted to deal with while on holiday.
