Reviewed Aug 17, 2026All the basics you look for in a property were undeniable: Clean, cozy, comfortable (VERY comfortable couch and beds), spacious, great security and every appliance worked perfectly. What makes this excellent is the extra effort put in to provide: entertainment (bookshelf with variety of interesting books + board games), extra extra towels, sheets, toilet paper, cutlery, dishes, washing materials, streaming platforms, paper and pen/pencil, travel guidebooks and fast consistent communication with the lovely host Charmaine. The location was perfect! JUST close enough to the beach, mall, restaurants, shops etc without hearing the hustle and bustle of a major tourist center. Close to the airport and other parts of Durban. The pool and braai stands were a great bonus.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like! Just things to keep in mind is that sometimes the WIFI struggled to reach the second bedroom especially the furtherest twin bed. And there a stairs to get into the apartment and pool area that can challenge older folks

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Firstly the host made sure that we collect the key and arrive safely by staying with us on the line until we were sorted. The location is peaceful, place clean and welcoming, a home away from home. Will book it again in the next visit.
The main bedroom did not have lace curtain for when one wants to rest on the bed with curtains open. The other thing is that there is not much privacy in the garden, especially when the neighbors are also outside relaxing. I wish they could put partition of some sort.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026Location Safe parking and complex Apartment was very comfortable- nice touch to have tea, coffee, sugar, even milk in the fridge. Also amenities like washing powder and cleaning detergents to help us clean in between - everything was well thought and catered for. The host was always reachable.
Everything was really nice My only issue was that there were a few cockroaches around mainly in the kitchen -floor and in the pot drawer and the main bathroom, which was reported to the host - and she was aware of this and advised the place was recently fumigated. she was advised on some insecticide spray to keep in the apartment to help reduce the presence of cockroaches.

The washing machine and wash powder and dry rack were also very handy. The wifi and smart TV connections were also great.

The apartment was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with plenty of supplies to make our stay comfortable. The Nespresso machine was an especially nice touch and a real treat each morning. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

This is not in your control but the swimming pool is built in a bricked up area, that felt very far from a holiday feeling. no real greenery, very unhospitable. Beaches that are near have too high ecoli count.

The only issue I had was that the fans in the kids' room and our room weren't working.

Nespresso, various teas and coffees, milk, washing powder, shampoo, body wash, lots of towels,blankets, etc. It's always a waste to buy a full container of items for a short stay, so it was so convenient to have them. Thanks Lovely big apartment with aircon and fans, lots of seating, work desk etc. Smart TV. Stunning holiday spot!

I underestimated the steps/stairs leading to the unit. My mom is 74 and suffers from all kinds of ailments🤦🏿♀️. If it were just us, it would have been fine: Other than that, everything was perfect.

Myself and my family enjoyed this stay and wish we had book many more nights, any of my future trips to Durban will definitely be back to this exact unit. Everything was just so perfect, very well thought of, everything you think you need is there, i mean there was even milk in the fridge, for a self catering place this host has out done herself. Trust me when i say that this place is very well under priced. I would of given it a million stars if possible. When we arrived on the first day the unit was so clean that you could eat off the floor, no mould in the bathrooms, no bad odours. Very very well done Host! You need to be recognised for your efforts.👌 you will definitely be seeing me and my family again.
I honestly think that the only upgrade the place would need is a bigger bed in the main bedroom but again, for the price its absolutely worth it.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2024We had a wonderful time in this little apartment, it had everything we needed and was the perfect size for a family of 3 and one uncle. The apartment is modern, light and airy and the beds were really comfortable. There's an amazing coffee machine and milk frother which we appreciated so much (and so many types of tea). It was such a pleasure to deal with Charmaine, she organised a very nice cot and even provided a high chair for our 7 month old. When I left my phone behind she went above and beyond to get it to me. Aside from her excellent hosting, the apartment is in the best location, so close to the beach in walking distance (just up a hill but it's manageable). We would definitely book here again!
