We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The house is tastefully designed with stunning finishes throughout, creating a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. Every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered, and the quality of the furnishings and décor truly stood out.

The house and its location at Vaal de Grace are beautiful. The host was also very helpful and responded immediately whenever we needed assistance.

There were, however, several issues that affected our stay: 1. We were given permission to check in at 10:00, but the house was not ready for us when we arrived. 2. Although the house appeared clean at first, once we started using the facilities and household items, we noticed that several areas and items were not as clean and hygienic as expected. 3. The drain in the master bedroom was clogged, as were some of the shower drains. 4. Some of the toilet seats were broken or loose and need attention. 5. It was clear that the drain traps had not been cleaned for quite some time, which was unhygienic. 6. The mattresses need attention, as they were not as comfortable or well-maintained as expected. 7. The kettle in the kitchen was not working properly. 8. There was no tablecloth or placemats provided, which would have been useful for the dining area. Overall, the house and location have a lot of potential and are beautiful, and we appreciated the host's prompt assistance. However, the cleanliness, maintenance and condition of some of the facilities and household items need attention to ensure a more comfortable and hygienic experience for future.

In Winter temperatures go to -2 degrees , maybe Aircons can help to warm rooms and cool them in summer. Cover windows in main bedroom and opposite room with curtains or frost. Door in one room upstairs doesn’t close and lock. Water pressure.

There was a fireplace in the lounge and it was a very welcome surprise. The caretaker arranged a maid for the duration of our stay and that was very helpful as we had to leave early and returned early evening every day.

House felt bit cold and had no aesthetic, lack of maintenance and furniture was also very minimalistic.

No back up power so when the electricity goes down there is no water in the house.

The location was fantastic! Entering the estate and finding the house was a breeze. Host was incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. House is very spacious and comfortable to live in.

There should be a few more mirrors and plugs in the rooms. And the downstairs bathroom did not have hot water.

First of all,back door are broken,showerhead in main bedroom are rusted and dont work,by removing it at night just to shower i ended up cutting myself,tap at guest bathroom downstairs almost dont have water,main bedroom matres are old and warn,got the keys and try to open back doir,didnt work,thought we were at the wrong house,searched for another 5 minutes and then return to same house,walk around house to the front and got into house,must park in the street infront of house to unpack and pack again,got strange looks from people driving by,Here by thé,my steps shall never be!!

Dorah the caretaker met us at the property as per arrangement and took us through the house to show where we could find everything. Very friendly! House was spotless and clean and would highly recommend this property.

House feels a little empty, not much personality. Outside seating is not that comfortable and in the kitchen there is odd, mismatched crockery and cutlery, and tiny dustbins. A little maintenance is required.

Lots of space and ample bathrooms. Check-in was very easy.

Not enough glasses and kitchen utensils and equipment. The house can accommodate 10 people but there were only 4 odd wine glasses. No hair driers nor dishwasher. Fans will also be a great addition.

The spacious layout allowed our group to spread out comfortably, whether we were engaged in lively discussion in the living room or grabbing snacks from the kitchen. Ample parking made arrival stress-free, and the reliable WiFi let us quickly look up literary references. The clean, contemporary design created a distraction-free environment where we could truly immerse ourselves in our reading discussions. Ideal for any group seeking a sophisticated space for thoughtful gatherings. Five stars!

We had a great stay at the house. The hosts was very friendly and was available when we needed them, so great service! The house was very neat and tidy with good facillities.

The braai facilities can maybe improve. The roster didn't fit the braai correctly, and maybe just include some braai tools to also move the coals etc. as I always feel bad to use a braai tang meant for turning the meat, to also help with spreading the coals etc.

The crockery and utensils were very limited. Not enough teaspoons, etc. To service 6 people, this can definitely be looked at. Other than that, excellent stay!
