Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Everything was wonderful. It was peaceful and I had a restful stay. Salt Rock is a lovely place and it was safe. Was able to but trinkets and other memorabilia to remember my vacation by. Views to the ocean was awesome. Also had a chance to see the dolphins frolicking on Saturday morning
The apartment did have a slight problem with ants on the breakfast nook. This was a bit frustrating to manage at time. Could have also had additional black bin bags. It is just a suggestion. Could also use maybe an indoor small table to work from

Short walk to the beaches in the area as well as the best almond croissants from SALT coffee ☕️ shop across the road . 😋 Pics 📸 on site 100% authentic. All in all a 10 ! Thanks Gillian ( agent) for your assistance!
New age open / discreetly hidden loo. Just my observation 😌 Perhaps 1 more shelf in the open storage in the bedroom. Mattress slightly on soft side . Please fix the blind in the bedroom. A fan in bedroom as aircon at night isn't comfortable.

Reviewed Apr 14, 2025The apartment is very modern and neat. The view is stunning, and there is a balcony from which you can enjoy the view. I liked the minimalistic decor. The kitchen is well equipped as well. The host was very welcoming, and available to assist with any questions or requests.
A dishwasher would be nice, however there is no space for one. And if you plan on going out rather than staying in, it doesn't really matter. Two things that future guests should be aware of is, the apartment is on the third floor that can only be reached by stairs. No lift. And also, there is a noisy road going past the apartment. So when you sit outside on the balcony, the road is quite noisy with traffic. However, when you are inside, and the door and windows are closed, you can't really hear anything.

Reviewed Jan 16, 2025I liked the fact that the place was newly refurbished. I loved the fact that it had a sea view and wasn't far from 3 beaches/tidal pools. The beds were comfy.
Where do I even start... This was a waste of our Money and would not recommend to anyone!! Rather book a hotel!! We got to the destination on Sunday the 12th of January, The power went off on the Monday the 13th at 16:30 and remained off for the duration our stay, which is us leaving on the 16th of January at 6am. The power is still off if I may say... You can imagine what problems that caused on our so called holiday. It's a self catering apartment but you can't use any of the amenities cause the power is off?? They don't have any back up generators, even portable lights or candles in the apartment!! The host came on Monday night just to bring us 4 tea candles for the duration of our stay, what a joke!!! What makes it worse is that this is a common thing in Ballito and for the owner, as on the Electricity group(ESP) it is stated that there are power outages all the time and they can last for days. The owner and the property is definitely not equipped for these issues. The owner showed no care apart from giving us 4 tea candles. It was a horrible experience. My wife is traumatised!!! About the apartment which is bad, is that the bathroom is in the bedroom, with no doors, it is literally in the bedroom. The owner does not put air freshener in the room, there are no extractor fans, only an air con which circulated the smell when the bathroom has been used. There is not dustbin in the bathroom either.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2025Location is really nice, not too quiet but not too busy. Couldn't swim in the ocean at the nearest beach front but the Tidal pool was really nice to snorkel in. Other swim beaches still really nearby if a swim in the ocean was needed.
Not an issue that everyone would have but having blinds in the bedroom rather than a curtain let's a lot of light into the rooms. My partner and I prefer dark rooms for sleeping in and the blinds unfortunately let light from the staircase outside in at night and the sun in the morning. Definitely not a big issue and did not take away from our wonderful experience at all, just something we thought we'd mention.
