As it states in the description it is a bit out from kilarney. But this didn't bother us. We loved the views from this property. So peaceful and calm. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Really felt like a home away from home.
Welcoming and helpful hosts, we very given a adapter for free bc we forgot our own. Very clean house, spacious bedroom and garden. Good sweet breakfast (bread, jam, fruit, milk, coffee, tea). Good mattresses!
The floor can be cold because the house is on the hills, which was not a problem for us. Slippers were provided though!
Very clean and beautiful house. Very pleasant couple. A deer living just next to the house and showing around in the evening.
Lovely owners, great views from the front of the house
Jim and Fin were great hosts, they let us feel at home and we had a great time. The breakfast was very good and they made us a bag to go the day we went because it was very early. They also helped us with the transport to the train and to climb carrantuohill.
Very very basic.
The hosts, the house, the situation. The host even met us, as we weren't sure.
Nothing.
Beautiful location scenery was out standing i would definitely recommend it for a holiday our host were excellent we are both talking about going back next year thank you so much
Rural area was very quiet and there was a top of Carraountoohil that distance away from this property can be seen with a naked eye, you can’t miss it, overall the bedroom was found to be comfy. Jim and his wife were amazing and approachable hosts and of course easygoing duo. He would be very happy to negotiate the breakfast time, despite being started by 8am plus he leaves a ham and cheese sandwich in the fridge for you to make for Carraountoohil hike and all-day trip ☺️ You can go out for a jog from the property. I will be coming back again, for sure.
Zero. No negative comments here :)
The breakfast was perfect for our stay ,as we were going for an early hike to Carrauntoohil ,Jim and his wife were fabulous hosts and looked after us with Jim giving us a lift to cronins yard . they could'nt have done enough for us
Everything was great and we could not recommend this b&b enough ,a rare find
Quiet neighbourhood
It is quite far away from any city, taking about 20 mins extra drive. Poor breakfast (only toasts and cold milk with cereals, instant coffee). The bath didn't work, there was weak pressure in the shower, which made it difficult to rinse the hair properly.
It was quiet and the room and bathroom very clean and the bed comfortable. Jim and Finola are friendly and pleasant hosts. Requests were responded to straight away and providing a lemsip for my cold symptoms was much appreciated thanks Finola. We also appreciated the recommendations for dinner and seeing the local areas.
Missing some of the small touches - no bins in the room or dining area, no hand towel provided, no blind on the window, just a light curtain, so very light early in the morning. Minimal provisions for breakfast - a light breakfast as advertised. I was cold the first night, but this was resolved by Finola as soon as we mentioned it - we are Aussies and do feel the cold though! The road to Great Lawn is narrow - as many are in Ireland - so the 16 kms does take longer than you may think out of Killarney.
Appreciated the use of the garage to store my bicycle
The room was very well presented and comfortable.
We were quite a distance out of town and did not have access to a microwave, or washing machine.
