Reviewed Jul 21, 2026The staff were very accomodating, and the room was beautiful. The Onsen baths were amazing as well, definitely recommend it to anyone considering. It was also easy to get anywhere in the city as Sennari is only a few minutes from Beppu station. Great location, rooms, Onsen, staff, everything really. The staff were even so kind as to accomodate by holding our luggage on the day we checked out (check out was at 10am, our travel plans had us leaving Beppu in the afternoon).

Reviewed May 17, 2026לקחנו חדר עם אונסן פרטי שהיה חם ונעים, החדרים המסורתיים בהחלט נותנים תחושה שנזרקת למקום אחר וזה ממש נחמד. יש במקום גם 3 אונסנים פרטיים נוספים שניתן להירשם אליהם מראש והם גם מאוד מוצלחים.
ארוחת הבוקר היא ארוחת בוקר יפנית מסורתית, ועל אף שזו הייתה חוויה מעניינת, האוכל קצת מאתגר לחך המערבי.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026El Ryokan es muy bonito y tradicional las habitaciones tienen vista al jardin. La persona que nos atendio en la cena fue muy amable y hablaba un poco de español. El baño aunque es pequeño te muestra perfectamente como es la experiencia onsen además aunque son compartidos en realidad cada habitación puede apartarlo por periodos de tiempo lo que hace que sea una experiencia privada.

泊まれる宿数が少ないこともあり、夜の廊下が静かすぎて少し怖い感じがあるかもです。 人によって感じ方に個人差はあるかと思いますが、わたしは大丈夫でした☺️ また、窓際が冷えていることもあり、エアコンが効くのに時間がかかりました。

Reviewed Jan 3, 2026源泉のお風呂、特に内湯が素晴らしかったです 食事が少しバタバタしてる感じなのが残念ですが、朝食もとても美味しくて満足です 和洋室のベットの寝心地がとても良かったです
お風呂の時間が1家族で40分も決められてたのが初めての事だったので家族内で時間配分をしなくてはならなくてバタバタ入る感じでした 後ろの人が居ない時は時間制限を無くして欲しいかなと思います

Reviewed Dec 22, 2025We loved EVERYTHING about Ryokan Sennari...we could not have been happier with our beautiful room, the amazing meals , the gorgeous onsen options and the fantastic location. The owner and all staff were incredibly welcoming and warm - we only wished we hade spoken even a little more Japanese to express our delight .
There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy...perhaps having one bed rather than 2 separate but very comfortable ones, would have been better but it really wasn't any issue

貸し切り風呂に小さくて良いので脱衣場に椅子があれば⋯部屋の洗面にお湯が出ると嬉しいです⋯玄関に入館時間を書かれた 紙が ちょっと気になりました

Reviewed Dec 1, 2025Wir hatten das Zimmer „Maki“ gebucht, welches sehr grosszügig und sehr sauber war. Der eigene Onsen hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Aber das grösste Highlight war der halboffene Onsen: dort kam das heisse Quellwasser direkt aus dem Stein und füllte damit das Bassin. Die Mahlzeiten waren liebevoll hergerichtet und schmeckten sehr gut.

Reviewed Nov 21, 2025Little hidden haven - wouldn't think you where 5mins away from the train station. Staff where exceptional, so lovely. Room was perfect, just what we wanted from a Ryokan stay - tatami, futon, private onsen bath, lovely garden view. Breakfast was a delight, beautifully presented and very tasty.
Only thing might be that it's a bit far away from Beppu's main tourist area. But really that's super minor since the station is so close by with frequent buses.

Reviewed Nov 5, 2025This was an absolutely gorgeous traditional ryokan. We had a family room with a private bath that was lovely but I would recommend taking insect repellent with you. My family was served a delicious vegetarian breakfast that was a highlight of their trip. I unfortunately became very unwell and required a trip to the hospital. The staff very kindly looked after me and called an ambulance on my behalf.

Reviewed Oct 30, 2025Bien qu'à côté de la gare et en environnement urbain il est vraiment authentique avec un jardin tellement travaillé qu'on a l'impression d'être hors ville. Très bon et copieux dîner et petit-déjeuner dans une salle à manger collective avec vue sur le jardin joliment éclairé. Onsen privatif intérieur et extérieur bien agréable pour nos mentalités pudiques européennes
Il faut arriver avant 18h car le dîner est servi à cette heure. Nous sommes arrivés à 18h45, du coup on a eu un repas un peu speedé, dommage vu sa qualité et variété.

Reviewed Oct 6, 2025Although I made a few mistakes when booking the hotel, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful during check-in. I’m truly grateful for the warm hospitality we received throughout our stay. The breakfast was refined and elegant, and the hotel’s location right next to the JR station made transportation extremely convenient.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2025First experience with traditional ryokan with onsen - amazing adventure worth recommending to everyone. Spacious room with garden view and private outdoor onsen. Delicious dinner and breakfast included. Staff welcomed us with smiles and kindness, good English skills. Beautiful building very close to train station. Authentic Japanese hospitality at its finest.
