Reviewed May 7, 2026Compare the western and Japanese breakfast, the Japanese breakfast was better. The dinner was wonderful and we enjoyed it very much. I love the second floor where the lounge is located, it is perfect for relaxing, reading, free snacking with drinks. I haven’t been in any hotels with this type of hospitality.
The private Onsen needs to be upgraded.

Breakfast options were a bit limited, but still adequate. I rented a car during my trip, and the hotel’s parking facilities were convenient but limited lots. Since I was driving, I can’t comment much on the location in terms of public transport or walkability. One thing to note is that guests are not allowed to wear their own shoes around the hotel. Overall, a pleasant and easy stay.

The property as a whole was attractive and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved soaking in the hot springs. The hotel provided everything we needed.
The hotel was the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the town of Beppu didn't interest us much. The "hells" are geological marvels, but the facilities around them were kitchy and touristy.

Reviewed Dec 19, 2025It’s a true ryokan experience, delicious food and very friendly and attentive staff. A lot of thought has been put into making the experience of staying here great and memorable, lots of small details which make it a pleasure to stay. The onsen is also amazing and very much fits perfectly into the entire experience. I will definitely come again as among the ryokans in the Beppu city area this is a contender for the best considering the reasonable and fair price.
I guess you should probably not stay longer than 3 nights with breakfast and dinner, since the breakfast although it is extremely delicious does become a bit samey. Same for the dinner which is absolutely amazing, however, it seems that after three nights the meal plan wraps around as I was served the same meal on the last night as on the first, which is a very small complaint as it was still delicious but you should be aware of it if you book the full experience for more than 3 nights.

Freundlicher und persönlicher Umgang, ausführliche Einweisung in gutem Englisch, geschmackvolle Einrichtung, lauschiges Onsen, authentisch-leckeres japanisches Frühstück, gemütliches Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Beppu-Bahnhof und Innenstadt noch gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplatz auf Hotelgelände.

Reviewed Nov 15, 2025そんなに大きいお宿ではないので、全てが近距離で済むので足の悪いお年寄りなどは非常に良いと思います。スリッパがないのがこんなに楽とは！床も竹で気持ち良かったです。 スタッフの方もみなさん親切で心地よかったです。 お料理も美味しく味も量も満足です。 また別府に来る時は利用したいです。
部屋に備え付けの枕が高いので、選ぶ枕があるので問題なかったですが、備え付けをもっと低いのにされてもいいのかなと！

Reviewed Oct 30, 2025夫婦、娘 7歳、息子 4歳の家族 4名で宿泊。 チェックインより、車まで迎えにきていただき、担当の方が丁寧に館内の説明など行なっていただきました。 施設はどこも清潔に保たれており、とても快適に過ごせました。 食事も美味しかったです。風呂にはサウナ、水風呂はないですが、内風呂 ２、露天風呂 １でとても清潔で快適です。 何よりもどのスタッフも接客が丁寧で、家族で感動しました。帰りはお見送りの方が写真を撮ってくださり、とても良い気分で宿を後にしました。
布団は４組のつもりで伺いしましたが、恐らく息子の年齢が4歳のためか自動的に添い寝扱いになっていて３組の用意と聞かされました。これは宿の落ち度ではなく、システム上の問題かと思われます。そういった場合でも追加の布団も迅速に対応いただきました。小さなお子様にも独立した布団が必要な場合は宿へ確認された方が良いかと思われます。
