Amazing, my family and I had a great time. I loved the fact that everything we needed was provided to us.

Excellent service, had an issue with hairdryer not working and Gillian sorted that out within an hour

Hair dryer wasn't working, there was no blinds or curtains in the living room and aircon was not working properly

The views. The bedrooms. Options for kids to play. The windows allowing us to see the ocean. The variety of kitchen equipment.

The rooms have a bit of mould. Especially the bathroom, bedroom windows and ceiling. There was no sugar and milk upon arrival. There are no signs that warn us of neighbours with pets. My kids are frightened of dogs and we had one dog run straight to us.

We stayed as a family of four, husband and wife with two boys aged 5 and 9 years old. The self-contained/self-catering unit met most of our expectations. The unit is spacious and perfect for a short week or two getaway! The size of the lounge, dining room and kitchen is perfect. Also, very nice to have our own patio/braai area which we made use of. The parking bay for the unit is decent. The kids room is perfectly adequate for two young boys. It is about a 15 or so minute walk to the beach from the complex to Thompson's beach, which was not a problem for our kids. I think Willard's beach is about 30 or so minutes walk away. We had friends staying in another unit in the complex, and our kids absolutely loved being able to wake up in the morning and visit their friends. The kids made use of the children's facilities here and there and made friends with other kids also using them. Our kids enjoyed seeing the monkey's regularly in an around our unit and the complex!

A few points which would have made our stay slightly better are as follows: - Better size/quality towels; - No washing machine and therefore we couldn't do any washing; - A door that closes on the shower, to prevent the floor from always getting wet; - Main bedroom bed is a size queen (for reference); - A flatscreen TV in the main bedroom mounted to the wall would have been an added bonus.

We had a wonderful stay at Chaka's Rock Unit 8. The accommodation was perfect, and the advertising was completely accurate. The photos were a true reflection of the unit, and everything was exactly as expected. The unit was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making for a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we even extended our stay. It was such a smooth check-in and checkout with our host Abbey. The location is excellent and a beautiful view. The unit is safe and quiet. We will definitely return!

The apartment was set very beautifully, checking in was very smooth, no long stories. The kitchen and kitchenware were exceptional. The view from the patio area and lounge were breath taken every morning and evening as we got to see some dolphins. The play area was fantastic, my daughter loved the trampoline. We spent alot of time in the facility as there was much to do and enjoy. Overall we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend booking. We will definitely be booking again.

We had an exceptional stay at Chaka's Rock Chalet. The unit was just the right size for our family of 3, super cozy, neat and very well maintained. A short and safe walking distance to the beach. We didn't make use of any of the facilities, the unit was just too relaxing with it's breathtaking views. Abbey is such a warm and readily available managing agent.

We had a wonderful stay at Chaka’s Rock Chalets. The unit was very cosy, peaceful, and ideally located—just a short walk from the beach and other nearby facilities. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

A few things to be aware of: The price listed on Booking.com did not include a mandatory R550 exit cleaning fee, which would’ve been good to know upfront. Some of the sports equipment at the resort (like squash racquets and balls) could use an upgrade. Alternatively, guests could be advised to bring their own. While the occasional electricity and water outages are beyond the control of the unit owner, having a few backup provisions like torches or bottled water on hand for emergencies would really enhance the experience. We were fortunate that during our stay we had no interruptions although the municipality put out outage notices.

The entire experience was just sublime. It was perfectly situated for morning sunrises. Extremely clean.

If i knitpick, the shower is a bit cramped, and the double bed is a bit small / uncomfortable but far from deal breakers.

The host made my life easier the he left the keys with the security. The view is out of this world, i loved the place ill definitely come again

They forgot to charge the backup light anso we stayed in the dark during the power outages, and i didn't like that they only provided 2 toilet papers while the was 4 of us. Otherwise all was nice

Abbey was extremely friendly, I informed her we were staying because my son was turning 10, upon our arrival, there was a little area set up with a happy birthday sign, chocolate and card. The facility comes fully equipped. Covered parking.

Room was a bit dusty when we had arrived. The chalet could use a hand held shower.

My favourite experiences during my stay; - Sunrise was absolutely stunning, and this unit was perfectly situated. - A 5-minute walk takes me to a beautiful cafe that serves great coffee, breakfast buns as well as delicious pizza. - A 2-minute walk with my coffee takes me on to the beach. - A late afternoon braai after a swim in the ocean. - There's a great pool area to chill around during the afternoon as well. - There's a restaurant within walking distance but if you want to take a drive up to Balito lifestyle centre for a nice dinner, there are some excellent restaurants as well! The unit itself must have been newly renovated as most items, including the kitchen and bathroom, were brand new and looked great.
