The property was generally clean and well maintained, though there is still some room for improvement. The facilities met most of my expectations, and the overall experience was comfortable. I would consider staying here again.
There were a few areas that could be improved. I noticed cockroaches in certain areas, and there was a cockroach smell inside the kitchen cabinet, which I believe was coming from the drain hole. The bed was a bit too firm for my preference, and the side fan in the hall was quite dusty. Other than these issues, everything else was superb, and I had an enjoyable stay.

Stayed at Apple Residence for 1 night and 2 days. The check-in process was somewhat smooth at first, but the overall experience was very disappointing. After receiving the keys and entering the residence, we immediately noticed that the toilets were dirty and had an unpleasant smell. This was unacceptable, especially considering they charged RM80 for a cleaning fee. On top of that, the unit did not provide enough mattresses as advertised. We had to repeatedly message the host and explain the issue multiple times. Communication was extremely frustrating and inefficient. Eventually, they sent an extra mattress, but left it outside the unit without informing us. We only discovered it after messaging them again. We also found that there was no microwave in the residence, despite it being clearly listed in the advertised facilities. When we raised this issue, they simply replied that there was no microwave. This is misleading and feels dishonest, as customers are being promised facilities that are not actually provided. After I sent them a screenshot showing that a microwave was included in the listing, they stopped responding altogether. I have already filed a complaint with Booking.com regarding the owner and requested a refund so that future customers will not be misled or experience the same issues. This is the first time I’ve had such a bad experience with a property owner. I’ve stayed in many residences before and have always had pleasant experiences, so this was extremely disappointing.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026I was very disappointed with my stay at this homestay. The room and bathroom had an unpleasant smell upon arrival. The curtains could not be fully closed, which affected privacy. The floor felt sticky and unclean. The recreational facilities were also poorly maintained. The mahjong set was missing a tile, and the pool table was missing a ball, making both unusable for a proper game. In addition, there was not a single mirror in the entire house, which was very inconvenient. The bathroom also lacked any shelf, hook, or rack to place or hang clothes and personal belongings.

Reviewed May 7, 2026The unit is near to Jonker Street and other attractions, by car. The unit has plenty of entertainment - arcade games, mahjong, pool table, karaoke.
Unpleasant odour coming from the master bedroom bathroom, and it was strong enough to be noticeable even from the living room area. The cleanliness of the unit could also be improved. The floor felt sticky, there were stains in the toilet bowl, and the towels had an unpleasant smell. Another inconvenience was the absence of mirrors in the unit, including the bathroom, which made basic daily routines less convenient. No instructions or guide were provided on how to operate the TV and water dispenser. Contacted the host for assistance but did not receive any update or clarification regarding these issues until the next morning.

Cleanliness and parking were my top priorities, and this property exceeded my expectations on both. Alviv Homestay was an outstanding host—responsive, helpful, and made check-in seamless. The space was stylish, clean, and very comfortable — and the 36th‑floor cityscape views were absolutely stunning. Waking up to that skyline was a real highlight of our trip. Alviv Homestay was an excellent host: responsive, helpful, and made check‑in incredibly smooth. The location also made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Beautiful apartment, amazing views, and a great host — we’d definitely stay here again!

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025The location was strategic close to Jonker Walk, just outside the busy traffic area, and surrounded by eateries. The apartment was spacious and perfect for a big family. It was well-equipped with a pool table, arcade machine, Mahjong table, and a karaoke set, making it easy to socialize and bond with loved ones

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025Die Anweisungen zum Check in und Check out waren klar und gut verständlich. Es hat alles einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Wohnung war ok, es war auf den ersten Blick sauber, der Pool war schön
Bei genauerem Hinsehen war es nicht mehr ganz so sauber. Die Betten waren extrem hart, ebenso die Kissen. Im zweiten Schlafzimmer gab es keine vollwertigen Betten. Der Föhn war defekt. Wir haben Kontakt aufgenommen, das Problem wurde jedoch gekonnt ignoriert. Eine der Schlüsselkarten zeigte sporadisch einen Fehler, man strandete auf einem Stockwerk und kam nicht weiter. Als Beweis wollte man ein Video. Wir waren unterwegs mit der anderen, funktionierenden, Karte. Ein Video haben wir nicht geschickt. Am Abreisetag wurde man ab früh morgens mit WhatsApp Nachrichten bombardiert, das man möglichst früh auschecken sollte, um „Stau“ zu vermeiden. Hierum konnte man sich dauerhaft kümmern, um das Problem mit dem Föhn nicht.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2025The house is beautiful, comfortable, and clean, with plenty of toys for children and even a snooker table for adults — everyone had a great time. The staff were very friendly, and the check-in process was smooth and quick. Our family was very happy staying here. Just one suggestion — the check-out time is currently 11 AM. It would be great if it could be extended to 12 PM, like most hotels, to give families with young children more time to get ready without rushing.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2025It was a nice and wonderful stay. Right beside the courtyard Marriot. Have all the facilities and especially for Kids as they enjoyed Arcade games and karaoke. Washing Machine as an added advantage.5-8 min drive to Jonker street. Nice and clean place. Would love to visit again

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Spacious apartment, great wifi, airco, easy check in, nice shower, washing machine and responsive hosts. It's a very convenient and good location to explore Melaka.
Cleaning good be better. Beds and pillows too hard and some furniture was a bit rickety. One night we had the upper neighbours moving stuff around, which was noisy. During our final night we had a huge scare as the karaoke set apparently has a feature to connect with other, similar devices outside of the apartment. It started blurting in the middle of the night and we were pretty puzzled and quite shaken up.
