Superb location with amazing views of the coast.. A very comfortable large room again with views of the sea. Spacious grounds with a Spa.

The location. Sea views and amazing sunset. Lovely short walk along the coast before or after breakfast. Could sit outside and enjoy the sound of the sea. I was upgraded and had a bigger room with a very large and exceptionally comfortable bed. Really enjoyed my evening meal in the restaurant and loved relaxing in the lounge/bar area with a drink while enjoying panoramic views.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. Spa was great, so was the room and sea view. Especially over dinner and breakfast which were both delicious.

Stunning views Beautiful hotel. Open, Light, Clean and airy Beds very comfortable Had a ground floor suite which was both spacious and comfortable.

The view was stunning over the estuary and the coastline. Short drive to town where there were good restaurants and to other stretches of coastline and beautiful beaches. Quiet location.

No photo of the outside of the house. Although it had everything we needed, the accommodation looked tired, needed refreshing and the bathroom needed updating. The bed was just a double and not particularly comfortable. Otherwise comfortable but no little welcoming touches that make a difference.

The bathroom, small and expected bigger bathroom for the price I paid. Not accommodating when I tried to book a morning swim with my child. Wasn't told anything if I wanted to book for sword use the facilities. If I was told when checking in, I would of done this. The reception staff in spar was very unhelpful and looked if she didn't want to be there. Poor service

The views!!! We were also impressed by the lovely, friendly attitude of the staff, most of whom were completely on it in terms of attention to detail and speed of service. The cocktails were gorgeous too!

I felt that there could have been squashier sofas for those who were hanging around the hotel all day. The existing sofas are quite hard and, for those with back issues etc, quite uncomfortable. In addition, the food offering in the restaurant, was difficult to navigate. Some things weren't available even though we'd travelled for 4 hours to get here. We needed more than a picky plate of meat and garlic bread, the menu felt a bit confused.

Everything is first class at this hotel. We try and go there 2/3 a year or more if possible. We love the fact u can get such value at such good prices We book when u have your bargain prices on. Long may it continue.

The location was fantastic.

Apart from the member of staff on reception on arrival, all other staff members were well below par in terms of customer service - restaurant in the evening, at breakfast and reception as I was leaving. Not what I expected.

We was told check in was at 3 pm we didn’t get our room until 3:56 also my wife slipped on the floor in reception hurt herself cause the floor was wet and I found wire in my eggs at breakfast

Hotel is in a fantastic location, spa is a treat, staff very friendly.

Exceptional location with gorgeous views. Great service, even though I arrived early and couldn't get early check in I was able to use the facilities. I got a complimentary upgrade from a single room to a double, still no view but a bit more room! Got a late checkout the next day which really helped me. I had a massage which was great and used the spa facilities in the morning. The pool was very small, but everywhere was clean and in good condition. Wifi was good throughout the property. Nice food at the restaurant too!

The Seal house had a fantastic view of the sea both from the living room and the bedroom. The living room was comfortable and well furnished. The hotel breakfast and dinner was delicious!

The bed was not very comfortable and needed a new mattress. There were only 3 mugs and not many spoons etc and could have benefited from more to avoid too much washing up or dishwashing. I only discovered the lovely beach on the last day! It would have been nice to see this advertised in the hotel lobby

Prijs - kwaliteit was waardeloos. Een kamer voor 250 euro per nacht. Je verwacht dan een standaard/basic kamer. Wat we kregen was een erg kleine kamer (afmetingen werden niet gemeld bij booking) die waarschijnlijk was bedoeld als 1 persoonskamer. Er stond een klein 2 persoonsbed met slecht matras. Nu hebben wij een redelijk normaal postuur, maar mensen met een beetje overgewicht zouden hier zeker niet met z'n 2en in passen. Een klein raam dat uitkeek op het dak van de keuken. Het was warm maar het raam openzetten was geen optie vanwege de sterke etenslucht (al vroeg in de ochtend wakker worden met de geur van gebakken worstjes). Een upgrade was niet mogelijk helaas, al deden de dames aan de balie niet veel moeite en gedroegen zich nogal uit de hoogte. Na 2 nachten slecht slapen helaas geen goede ervaring aan overgehouden. Wat meer informatie over de kamer zou handig zijn zoals de afmeting van de kamer en het bed.

Few sticky tables and slow to keep bar tables clean especially outside. - staff took orders without cleaning tables. Would have liked variety to specials not repeated on second night. Breakfast ok but bit of a holiday camp atmosphere and some food " hanging around".

The view is stunning and we enjoyed watching the sunset from the patio. The spa is lovely - staff were very helpful - we enjoyed using the pool and jaccuzi area. Breakfast was good and staff were attentive.

We were hoping for a quiet night away, but there was a wedding on and the music from the wedding disco was really loud and audible from the restaurant (where there was also quiet background music playing). The quieter part of the restaurant was full so we couldn't be moved. We were assured we wouldn't be able to hear the disco from our room, but it was audible until midnight. Totally accept that the hotel has weddings - and we're not usually bothered by some noise - and they seemed to be having a great time which is lovely - but I would suggest this is not value for money if you're looking for a quiet night away at the weekend. Also we paid £192 for one night in an economy room - which we knew would be small, but there really wasn't much room in there. Sorry to be negative - but it was disappointing.

The room was VERY small. Hardly anywhere to store the Cases. Bathroom Very Cramped, nowhere even to keep wash bags and very small shower and towel rail.

The only thing I'd like to mention is some noise at night - the doors are noisy when they slam closed so I was woken by the bangs a few times as other guests left their room at night or early morning. I was in a room close to the lift - there was a clear double dingdong sound whenever the lift opened which again was disturbing. Some guests were also very noisy going to their rooms after the several wedding events during my stay. I was glad that the noise from the disco ended at a reasonable time (around 11.00pm I think)

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The menu for supper the previous evening was perhaps a little heavy and portions slightly large. However this was more than compensated for by the superb location by of the dining room. I don’t know of a hotel with a more phenomenal setting.

I don’t really think there was anything much that you could have done to improve our stay. We had one of your deluxe rooms and it was very comfortable. Though you supplied instant decaf coffee sachets, it would have been even better to have had a decaf alternative for the coffee machine.

Breakfast excellent. Room was clean and well equipped although for the price I would have expected a walk in shower rather than having to stand in the bath. Also the balcony over the hotel delivery area wasn’t the best - but no quibbles really.

Fantastic location, great breakfast and really enjoyed dinner in the restuarant. The staff were polite and friendly and the spa was wonderful, would definitely recommend.

Reception Staff were Friendly and helpful, the Gentleman who checked us in was fantastic! The spa was very relaxing, I had a wonderful massage. There was great options at the bar, with lots of different cocktails. The view from the room was amazing. There was a wide range of breakfast options, and coffee & tea was brought to us quickly. The grounds were amazing, we even saw dolphins from the cliff! Beds were very comfortable, with good pillows.

Location was absolutely beautiful and not to far from town! No busses but very good taxi service for £10 the restaurants bars and balconies were amazing and cozy and it’s probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve had in years with quality ingredients and plenty of choices. Unfortunately no time to use spa facilities! Room was lovely on the whole even though we had one of the very last available as we booked very last minute

Very picky little things on the whole! No water or wine glasses in the room which we see 9 times out of ten! No air conditioning in what we believe to be a recently refurbished and beautiful room! ( luckily we had two fans on 24/7) The shower was one of the best ever in a hotel but was above a bath which was unbelievably narrow ( even for my wife who is tiny, even though I’m not!)

This hotel is a complete disappointment. I booked as we had a National meeting being held there. We had a previous meeting 20 years ago and the venue was fantastic. I can only say that this event was an embarrassment. The staff had no idea how to manage a conference. The evening meal was a complete joke. The bar closed early with no forewarning. The staff became dismissive when we asked questions about the meal/bar.

The food, what a let down . Always had amazing food here but last nights dinner was abysmal. Black cod with more bones than fish for £32.95 they could have at least picked the bones out, tasteless potato cake and very bland. Seafood special £23.50 was a miss match of a prawn skewer with a potato slice and a bit of brisket with random courgettes and veg. Beef brisket was mostly all fat with crispy noodles. The only decent dish was the pork which the dinner loved. The puddings didn’t fair much better a beautiful strawberry tart but the put this disgusting basil gel under and the ice cream which was very unpleasant. The panacotta well it was not pleasing to the eye but apparently tasted lovely . The almond frangipan was a vanilla sponge no taste but a pleasant sponge. How disappointing it was my husbands 60th birthday and 6 of us booked 3 rooms and stayed the night . The food has always been exceptional but not this time . 😢😢 The staff need more training behind the bar as they are not handling the glasses properly when serving and their glasses are never a full pint. We were drinking in the bar but at 10pm we asked what time the bar closed as we felt they were waiting for us to leave they said 10pm. When told we were residents they just disappeared and we had to wait ages for drinks . What has happened to this amazing place it’s so disappointing 😢😢😢 We’ve been here several times as it’s a special place but won’t be eating here again if the food doesn’t improve or the staff behind the bar . Also the Tempest lounge was closed all night from 5pm. This was NOT communicated when we booked as this is a stunning place to sit and enjoy the view ⭐️ this is for the food and bar service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this is for the hotel bedroom and the spa

Car park had some rough areas and some visitors parking was not good. I Had someone next to me park in disabled bay parking badly into my parking space. No blue badge.

Das von mir gebuchte Zimmer war extrem klein. Das stand allerdings auch so in der Beschreibung, ich hatte es nur nicht vorher gesehen.

Every member of staff was helpful, courteous and professional. The room was immaculately clean. Bed was super comfy. Spa was as advertised and very clean. Breakfast was good and the terrace to eat it on was superb. Breakfast Staff were attentive and polite.

No air con in the room (we were having a heatwave) but fans were supplied which was a plus

Stayed during hot spell - room hot and uncomfortable. Suffered from lack of air conditioning. Balcony unusable in heat so had to keep door shut.

Due to hot weather we like to leave the window open. However when cooking started for breakfast the extractor fan kicked into action with a strong sickly smell of cooking fat. We had room 125. Reported this to members of staff. I suspect this is a well known issue with the room as I got no feedback despite assurances given.

Spa was fully booked and no offer to Book a slot. Was just told on arrival it was fully booked. Part of the reason I stayed here was to go to the spa. Other than that it was good.

Excellent location. The room was spacious and comfortable with two small bottles of water on arrival. Lift available -very useful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of room and plenty of choice. We had an evening meal one day which was excellent. The grounds are amazing with walks along the cliffs. Would recommend the Cliff to anyone.

The receptionist on arrival did her job but without a welcome and no specific directions (just over there, left up stair and left). She mentioned that there was a lift available but we assumed because of the way it was pointed out that it would be an inconvenience. No wate in room for 2nd day although the temperature was in the 30's. The receptionist at checkout again did her job. No did you enjoy your stay? Safe journey etc.

Dirty tables in outside bar area, glasses not cleared, flower tubs looked tired. My main course in restaurant very fatty, no check back by waitress and when mentioned at the end of the meal the problem was completely ignored. Eventually we got the managers attention who would only discuss my problem with my husband! He said no one else had complained about that meal- perhaps they didn’t get the bit of the brisket that hadn’t been trimmed properly! Anyway £6 knocked off bill not what we were after just an acknowledgment and apology and that no one else would get served a very fatty meal.

Thought some hotel staff were not very friendly And we had to walk out of the restaurant before having a meal as they could not do our reqest to serve the fish without the skin, even though they said the food is prepared and cooked fresh, a member of staff said it was already battered?? They were not helpful and rude (its a reason why I dont have skin on fish) and it was all we wanted from the menu

The hydrotherapy pool was fantastic. Staff at the Spa were very attentive. The buffet breakfast was very good. Plenty of variety and was set up very well for customers. Very efficient staff.

We stayed on a saturday night and had to be out of our room by 10.30am on Sunday. That meant getting up earlier for breakfast and feeling tired as a result. It would have been nice to have had a later checkout from our room.
