Reviewed Jul 3, 2026We really enjoyed our stay, the owner Dora lives downstairs with hbhwr family and was super helpful helping us with contacts for a boat tour and to move around. Our room was quite big, with a mini fridge and a/c, the bathroom was tiny but very much functional. Totally recommended! And great breakfast too

Desayuno típico abundante y rico. La isla en general maravillosa, y el alojamiento ayuda a vivir la experiencia de forma más auténtica.

Reviewed Jan 23, 2025Upon arrival I already got a message from Dora with information about the check in process. When I arrived she was already waiting for me. From the very beginning I was feeling welcome. Within minutes I got a moto I rented from Dora and her husband. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was decent and the location quiet. On my last day I was allowed to check out late so I could do the hike to the Pico and shower before leaving. Dora organized a Taxi for me to the airport and when I mentioned that I was hungry I got a meal and even a desert for free. I was treated like family. This is a unique once in a lifetime experience. Thank you!
You need to be aware that this property has no warm water. It wasn’t a big deal for me even though I always shower hot. With the hot and humid weather it felt pleasant to shower cold. The breakfast area could use a bit of an upgrade because on one side you face a construction side but that’s fixed easily when you just sit down facing the garden.

Reviewed Dec 23, 2024The Posada is very clean, the rooms are very nice, the breakfast is delicious, but definitely what I liked the most was the kindness and good energy of the host, she rented us a motorcycle to take a tour of the island, she recommended us to Nayick who gave us on a wonderful tour of the keys and we knew us the best beaches. The Posada is so close to all touristic places.

Reviewed Feb 5, 2024We really enjoyed the stay at Mary & Matt lodge. Dora is an amazing host and really looked after us very well. She organised a scooter for us which was directly delivered to the accommodation, recommended a boat tour including snorkelling and had great tips for places to see and where to eat. We could always ask her when we needed anything and she was super helpful. There is Wi-Fi available in the room which worked very well. We felt very welcome and would certainly recommend staying here.

Reviewed Feb 14, 2023I loved the location of the Posada. It was near Archie's a great late night meal pick me up place right next door! The bank is up the road. The downtown area for a supermarket, pharmacy, and rental places is a 5 minute scooter ride away. The water is 5 minutes walking distance. The first beach is about a 5 minute scooter ride as well. It's a great place for solo travelers, couples, friends and families. It's in a quiet part of the bay area. I felt very safe my whole time on the island and I felt welcomed by everyone.
I have no complaints. They are currently working on bettering their WIFI connection. The most recent hurricane did some damage to the island, but the residents are resilient and thriving.
