Everything it's amazing place very clean enough space for everyone to enjoy their vacation, The host was incredibly, the security guards patrolling we felt very safe because we asked them to check on us as we had a big car that didnt fit in the garage it's a hidden gem l love everything. The cleaning lady so respectful, polite and professional lm sorry l didn't get her name. The neighbor who gave us the key thank you. My family enjoyed a lots,Will definitely come back...

This house is such a gem! We found the location very conveniently close to the beach (walking distance), shops and other fun place to visit. We enjoyed visiting MacBanana, Waffle House (in Ramsgate), the Red Dessert, Beaver Creek Coffee Farm, The Wreck Restaurant and the Funky Fork Coffee Shop-all within a couple of minutes' drive. This made it a fun holiday for us with 4 teenagers and 2 students in our group. Jan was always available to assist with questions and instructions. He made us feel very welcome! Thando came in to clean (optional extra) and she is a very friendly and efficient worker - highly recommended. We had out 2 small dogs with us and Jan was very encouraging about this decision. The property is well gated in and it was safe to let them run around freely. This was one of the most relaxing and pleasant holidays we've had and this house is well equiped with every convenience to ensure a comfortable and relaxing vacation! Also has a beautiful view of the ocean from the top deck and we loved the voiciferous presence of the neighbour's ducks. A cute bonus! 🪿

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property

The place is spacious,accommodated our big family perfectly,it was clean,wifi was great.

We were travelling with toddlers and stairs were quite steep, we had to go with wrinkled clothes because we couldn’t figure out the iron and there was no response when i asked for assistance.

The property was clean and also has a glimpse of the ocean view.

Breakages deposit request for one night was unnecessary. TV had limited channels and internet didn't work despite WiFi code given. Tired bathrooms.

Host was extremely helpful as I was booking the place for my family to get away.. They mentioned that it was really spacious and secluded which is perfect if you're looking for some downtime.. there was multiple amenities- washer/dryer, dishwasher, balcony for sunrise and sets.

Beach was a little distance away.

The place is next to the beach and more convenient to the shopping center.

The place is really like what you see in the photos. It's clean, comfortable everything you need is at Big Fish Cottage. You don't need to take anything with they supply the towels, bedding, all your cookware is there. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. It definitely accomodates 10 people. Thank you Jan for being an amazing host. I would also like to thank Thando for driving all the way to us when we needed help locating the grill. Everything about Big Fish Cottage was exceptional we really had an amazing holiday pity it was so short. My overseas family were really impressed they said it felt like they never left home. Thank you Jan.

Bedroom downstairs needs a door rather than a curtain. Privacy.

It was easy because we have read the PDF sent to us.

The bathrooms were all downstairs but ke it’s not that that big of a problem

The noise of the water tanks during the night. Loud and disturbing. Couldn't sleep Insufficient toilet paper was given.

Beautiful house and very neat. The owner was readily available to assist in any matter.

The stairs are a little steep, especially for elderly people and toddlers.

The peace and tranquility of nature. The distance of walking to the beach and the convenience of having stores close by was a bonus. House was well equipped and clean. It felt like a home away from home.

A pool would have made this a perfect holiday home.

Our family of 10 fitted very comfortably in this cottage. It was clean and homely with comfy beds and furniture. We loved the sea view from the top patio and we especially loved the aircon in the lounge downstairs. I'm sure we'll be back.

It was a pity that the garden is so overgrown which puts one off from venturing down into it and the bushes block any view that could be had from the lounge patio. The house would also benefit by adding basins upstairs. Lack of water in these areas made the stay for those upstairs a bit awkward.

The location was great. Just a short leisurely walk to the beach. The house is big and beautiful. I loved that we could bring our fur babies with.

Firstly I loved the aircon that keeps the whole bottom part of the house absolutely cool. The sofas and beds are very very comfy. Host is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The house is very close to some beautiful beaches. Jan is very helpful and friendly. We knew everything we needed to know upfront and he was also so proactive when the water was off and we had to swith to the Jojo tanks. It's great that we were not affected by the water cut. There are 2 huge Jojo tanks. Ample for 10 people.

Although there are some floor standing aircon thingys upstairs there is a desperate need for an aircon like the one downstairs. Shading on the upper deck

We were charged for not cleaning the kitchen when we left and we were not aware that we must clean, this message was rudely communicated

Shower frame needs to be re siliconed. Water leaks onto floor after showering. Need to fit main gate automation. Risky to manually close or open gate late nights

The host is caring,checked on us as needed .He paid attention to detail to our needs and we felt homely . This place is spacious and comfortable. There is Everything that you need , makes being on holiday worth the savings for vacation ;we left refreshed and refueled. It's close to the beach and shopping centre. The place is refreshing ,has lots of trees and there is a beautiful area for braai(barbecue) ,its has a beautiful awning so we sat outside, had a braai in the rain,the smell of fresh rain left us wholesome. I love the sea and it's a walking distance. From the patio you can get the Seaview and it's at the top of the hill ,morning breeze is amazing. I was impressed from the start till our departure..I would love to come back whenever I am in Port Edward.....

I was absolutely amazing and perfect, exceeded my expectations.

The main switch was problematic..

We enjoyed every minute of our holiday. From the two fridges and washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher to the comfortable couch. There were two spacious decks to relax on and admire the beautiful garden. The beds were oh so comfortable and rooms spacious. We will definitely return!!

It was a pity that there were no basins in upstairs toilets.

Really well kept and tidy, and a short drive from the best that Port Edward has to offer. Take binoculars and you might be lucky enough to spot whales from the deck as we were.

Bedrooms are really cold at night. Also there is no soundproofing between the 2 floors so everybody inside can hear you lol. Also maybe look at installing armed response, this is SA after all.

The house was very clean. I loved the huge deck. It was awesome . We spent most of our time here . Big braai area as well. The beds were very comfortable.

Please add a swimming pool. And if possible, arrange the other bedroom exit door not to pass from one's bedroom, for terms of privacy, just like the other bedroom with double bed and twin beds.

Everything, the property is located in a beautiful area, it’s very homely and clean. It has everything.

There is no wifi but this is stated, instead there is a full DSTV package and all all appliances and utilities including a coffee machine.
