If you compare the price to other places in the area, you cant get better value for money. The host was very friendly. And checked in via whatsapp. This diamond of a home will definitely be my go to spot in the area.

Everything was great! Only thing, they didn’t have an adaptor plug for the blow dryer, luckily I had one adaptor with me that I was able to use to blow dry my hair.

Kommunikation mit Lynn einfach super. Kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen. Würden jederzeit wieder kommen

Reviewed Mar 24, 2026Modern interior, great kitchen space, and reasonably priced. Also probably one of the best stocked stays I've been to, except that there was no salt and pepper. Would highly recommend if you need a place to stay in Gansbaai for more than a few nights. Oh and there's a pub across the street, might be a negative for some (as it's not that private) but was definitely a positive for us!
Some salt and pepper would have been nice.

Reviewed Dec 20, 2025Komplettes luxuriöses kleines Ferienhaus direkt am alten Hafen mit Terrasse vor dem Haus und an der Rückseite - es fehlte wirklich an Nichts. Gute Betten, 2 Bäder - 1x mit stylischer Badewanne, Trotz Hafen relativ ruhig. Gute Kommunikation mit Vermieter - Schlüsselbox.
Späte WhatsApp-Nachricht mit Infos erreichte uns nicht rechtzeitig mangels WiFi. Problem war mit benachbartem Wirt schnell lösbar. Künftig früher Infos verschicken ! Es haben nicht alle mobile Daten oder immer Mobilfunk.

When a wildfire broke out in the area, all power went out and we were contacted to inform us that we’d have no power (for days). The roads started closing and there was smoke in the air, so we decided it wasn’t safe to stay. When we requested the free cancellation due to natural disaster through booking, the host started ignoring me completely, despite communicating just fine prior.

Reviewed Dec 24, 2024The house was very clean, very modern and had all the facilities that you need. There is a braai on the front stoep and one at the back. The facilities were excellent and you are within walking distance of everything in Gansbaai. I would stay here again.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2024The decor of the home was beautiful. It felt very homey but also modern with lovely finishes. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and we enjoyed watching TV on the large smart TV. We stayed for a week so being able to use the dishwasher and washing machine was useful. We absolutely loved the showers. Lovely water pressure and design.
The way the house is located on a busy part of town so there isn’t a lot of privacy. I also didn’t find the bedding very comfortable and the main room has a double bed. This may be a personal preference but we would’ve liked a bigger bed.

Reviewed Feb 1, 2024This is a beautiful and well equipped apartment situated just above the Gansbaai harbor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Everything is absolutely perfect: the view, outside porch with outdoor barbecue, the bigscreen TV, beds, linen, kitchen equipment, bathrooms, etc. Most of all, there are numerous activities in close vicinity, which include diving with white sharks as well as whales, dolphins, penguins, and seal watching. Gansbaai is definitely worth a visit, and 1 Harbour Rd is the perfect place to stay.

The fully equipped kitchen made meals a joy, but the real stars were the amazing showers and the balcony overlooking the harbor. Watching the sunset each evening was pure magic. The summer weather added to the charm, and having a pub across the street was a delightful bonus. Safety, privacy, and the convenience of a laundry machine and dishwasher made our stay stress-free. Parking at the door was super handy, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We're definitely planning to return—the perfect location and complete comfort make this place a gem!
