Reviewed Jul 28, 2025We had a really lovely stay. The accommodation is set in a peaceful, safe part of town with a beautifully secluded and spacious entrance. The high-quality finishes, especially in the garage area, gave us a great first impression, and the attention to detail carried throughout the space. A standout highlight was the host, who was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful — a big reason we’d happily return.
The hot water pressure in the shower was quite low and slow to heat, possibly due to the gas geyser. The large glass doors bring in amazing natural light but felt a bit exposed — a light tint or added privacy film could help. The plug setup for the appliances tripped when using the microwave and kettle together. Perhaps consider upgrading the multiplug or connecting it more directly to avoid issues for future guests. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. These are minor things that didn’t take away from the experience but rather highlight the huge potential this space has as a top-tier getaway in Potchefstroom.

The place has everything 🙌 peaceful.even one think about it u just smile . The place welcomes is beautiful full of love. The host and the family, beautiful people with gold heart. Everything. My weekend getaway in Potchefstroom started off dismally when, on arrival, I was switched to a lower-reviewed establishment without prior notice. I made the reservation on 29 November for check-in on 2 December. I was informed via Booking.com text message while on my way there that I should check in to a different establishment without any explanation given. This establishment has a lower review score on Booking.com and is therefore not a place I would have booked. There was ample time between my booking and the check-in date to inform me of any changes to my booking, but nothing was communicated until I informed the hosts that I am on my way and what time I expect to arrive. This is a typical bait-and-switch scam because the hosts were aware that my options would be limited when arriving in Potchefstroom in the evening after a long journey and they exploited that situation. I communicated my dissatisfaction with the hosts and told them that they should have timeously alerted me of any changes in my reservation, they apologized for the "inconvenience caused" and said they had an "emergency" that required that I be moved to another facility. I suspect they had double-booked the room and decided to ship me off to another establishment. They also offered compensation in the form of a 1-night refund for my 2-nights booking. I has been almost 4 weeks since I had checked out, and that compensation is yet to materialize, and my texts are no longer being responded to. My rating reflects the dissatisfaction in the service I received and not of the actual establishment as I did not stay where I had booked.
