Reviewed Sep 6, 2025Great base to travel around East Cork. The house was lovely and spacious. Beds were comfortable. . Key collection was easy and our host was helpful with his arrival information. Loved the little wood down in the village. So pretty. The greenway towards Midleton is open now too so we enjoyed a section of that with the children.
Not house related, but we ate in the thatch pub in the village one night and the food wasn't great and the service was horrendous. Don't recommend it. The pizza from the van though was excellent!

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025Anzahl und Größe der Zimmer, Ausstattung. Der Gastgeber informierte uns rechtzeitig über bevorstehende Stromabschaltung seitens der Energieversorger und erstattete von sich aus einen angemessenen Betrag.
Für so einen großen Haus mit so vielen Betten ist die Anzahl der Teller und Besteckteile etwas sehr knapp bemessen.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2025House was very clean and had everything in it that we needed to use. Comfy beds etc. Lovely quiet area and great garden for kids. Very close to everywhere we wanted to see (foto wildlife, cobh, youghal ..) Chinese in killeagh village is gorgeous and food in the old thatch pub is very good to. Also a nice wood walk couple minutes from the house which was absolutely lovely (glenbower wood). Landlord very easy to deal with

Reviewed Sep 11, 2024It was just what we wanted a homely country home for a good base to travel around the whole area. It was a very friendly little town and we really enjoyed our time.
All the beds do really need all new mattress as they were very uncomfortable but without anyone telling them I am unsure if they were aware that they were. But the home was so cosy.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2024It was very spacious,garden was great for chaps to play. It had everything we needed and short drive to amusements and the old thatch for food was excellent .The beds were very comfy. I could keep going on just a lovely place to stay
No air fryer or sandwich toaster no major deal just would have been handy 😀
