Genuine friendly service, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed room. What a swimming pool and we enjoyed the spa. Delicious food - the tuna carpaccio was a revelation. Egg hopers for breakfast were delicious too. Highly recommended.
Pool, sea front view.
Noise of traffic, bugs in pool
This is a wonderful boutique hotel that truly exceeded my expectations. I stayed here for a night during the end of my two month travelling in Sri Lanka and it was totally worth it- if I had more time I would have stayed longer. The staff was very accommodating and did everything they could to make my bday special when they found out, the room was peaceful and the food exceptional. I also had a massage at the spa it was one of the best spa experiences ever I stayed during low season so there were only a few other people. Completely calm and peaceful A short walk down the beach just in front of the hotel there’s a small bay you can swim in all to yourself
Nothing
Pool was lovely.
Can’t swim on the beach - steep drop off and rough. The food was astronomically priced compared to everywhere else we’ve eaten (including other hotels) in Sri Lanka, and fair quality but certainly not worth the price.
We liked the relax atmosphere, our great ocean signature suit with ocean view, the pool, the beach, the food and the friendly service provided by the staff. Chamara took great care of us right from the start, when we checked in.

Amazing location and view. Lovely, perfect staff. Great sized, comfortable room. Delicious food. Nice architecture. Incredible pool.
Could do with some maintenance, some of it was quite run down and this should be rectified for the amount of money it cost to stay here.
Everything was perfect. I can't write anything negative. The staff is fantastic. Beautiful beach💞
I can't write anything negative.
Amazing setting , simple stylish romantic
Staff were wonderful, always friendly, helpful, extremely attentive (almost too much - a little bit of pressure to pre-order dinner, or asking about lunch when we had only finished breakfast 2 hs before). Breakfasts included in the price were excellent, very generous in size. Menu for lunch and dinner is reasonable in price, with lots of options. The pool was wonderful, and looked as it did in the photos. The location is a 5-10min tuk tuk ride from Mirissa, and it was nice to be able to retreat to this hotel which is more calm and peacful than Mirissa. I liked the smaller size of the hotel, with overall smallish number of guests - I think there are only 12 rooms.
Overall, I felt this was a very expensive hotel stay, and not good value. I was disappointed with the state of the facilities on offer, and the state and size of the room. The whole building, our room and particularly our bathroom, was looking a bit tired - not the same as the photos. The outside of the rooms looks weathered and the plastic awnings outside the rooms' balconies are a bit dirty. The whole place needs a new coat of paint. The entrance to the hotel is really unimpressive, with paint peeling off the gates and nowhere to park. For four people, the room size was not that big. In addition, you can't swim at the beach here - there is a very steep, rocky shore break right outside the hotel. Even 100m up the beach, the sand is so steep that it doesn't seem safe to swim there (and we are all strong swimmers). The beach in this area has some rubbish, not nearly as bad as Mirissa but I am surprised that the hotels in this area don't work together to keep the beach clean. After all, it's mainly their guests that use it. The yoga on offer costs $USD25 per person, and has to be pre-arranged - way too expensive for Sri Lanka! I did not see anyone doing yoga here. Overall, I did not feel this hotel is 5 stars. The staff, service, and the pool are 5 stars, but the buildings and room are 4 stars.
The location of this hotel is excellent if you are looking for a very quiet few nights. Otherwise it's a short tuk tuk into the busier parts of Mirissa. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right by the sea/beach which was beautiful. The restaurant overlooks the beach which was lovely to have breakfast at for sunrise, and dinner for sunset. The food was excellent; albeit a little expensive. The pool was a nice to have.
We stayed in the 'standard room' which we felt was very basic, given the price. The balcony is a little tucked away, and not much use. We also thought the hotel was very expensive compared to others we came across in the area. As already mentioned, whilst the food was very good, it was very expensive compared to other restaurants we ate at, in busy/touristy areas.
Pool and beach area second to none. Amazing. Staff were all lovely. Fantastic breakfast under the coconut trees and ate on 1 night and was also great. Tuk tuk journey to Mirissa not a problem. Hotel arranged great whale watching tour for us.
Over priced for standard room and for food.
It was clean, quiet, comfortable and the suite was luxurious
The beach right in front had rocks, there was a drop off and the ocean was deep. If you want to swim in the ocean, you have to walk fairly far. No swimming or surfing safely by the property. Pool closes at 8pm (too early). Breakfast was great!
Friendly staff and good location
Astronomical cost for small room with no view. Paid £200 (about $270) and they wanted another $250 for a sea view! Staff were lovely but costs for food and drink were very high so ate evening meal out. We were the only ones there and it was a little tired. Pool was nice but not worth the money.
The staff at the property were so nice, especially the servers. They made our time there so special and worth it. The location and the proximity to the beach make it a not to miss place.
Beautiful rooms, beautiful place.
We liked everything!
More beautiful than you can imagine, the pool is exceptional, overlooking the beach, at this stunning sea front location and very kind happy team make this a special place. Delicious food, great hosts, and very comfortable rooms make this second to none.
Nothing
The calm , serene atmosphere The staff were really kind and Polite Notable mention to Sambath , Chamara and ofcourse Gaya . He took care of us really well . Food was served with Love . And when we checked in they saw my wife's birthdate on the passport and arranged a birthday cake even when it was late and accompanied by a gift . That was really a surprise and damn sweet . It's really rejuvenating to have stayed here . it's a gem .
The cost is slightly on the higher side . If the food costs also came down it would be a superb deal . And also really the hotel should have a shuttle service ( * free of cost ) to Marissa town and back 2 tuk tusk by the property would really help . or may be even scooters would help the local tuk tuks really fleece people here . An approachable beach would just elevate the property All the above are suggestions But the bottomline is that it's a great place . slightly lower your costs :-)
Everything! Right on the beach, comfortable and spacious rooms, amazing pool, great location, fantastic staff and good food!
Nothing
When you could find staff they were always smiling and friendly. It is beach front, which is nice but views were blocked by trees (in Ocean Suite).
Restaurant/Bar facilities are minimal - most times we were having to find staff to serve us, as he had to serve multiple people including room service. Cannot swim at beach in front of hotel
The views Our spacious seafront villa The bed was so comfortable The staff were very nice, excellent service Great massage in the spa Food was sensational- really good The seafront restaurant/ bar - such a nice location The big warm pool The sunset lagoon trip that the hotel organised for us We all agreed us was the nicest place we stayed during our holiday (we travelled around quite a lot)
You couldn’t walk out into the beach as the tide comes right up - it was a bit dangerous if you tried therefore you couldn’t swim in the sea as it’s very rocky The hotel payment gateway that they used charged me 5% and so we ended up paying an additional 375€ more than we had been quoted on booking.com. I can’t seem to speak to anyone at booking.com about this and the hotel were not bothered either. The hotel is expensive for the area so this extra payment stung a little You are not directly in mirissa and so you have to always get a Tuk Tuk or walk but the road is chaotic and dangerous so walking isn’t really an option.
The staff were incredible. It was in such a beautiful setting and immaculately clean. We couldn’t have wished for more and it was a very special place to spend our Christmas. Thank you !
PERFECT location for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it. Stayed for a week and it could not have been more perfect. Amazing food, staff were amazing, location is so romantic. Would really really recommend.

It was absolutely fantastic very hard to find a hotel in Mirissa which actually looks like the actual pictures. This was the one to be at.
Na
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. Kenny and the team deserve the highest of praise for their professionalism and exceptional hospitality. Breakfast was incredible and the pool and view fabulous. By far thee most well looked after gardens we encountered in all of Sri Lanka.
We would love to have had dinner and a few more cocktails by the pool however by the time you add on service charges, tips, and both of the hefty government taxes it gets expensive. I hope for Sri Lanka that government taxes imposed on travellers are lessened or absorbed by the hotel so that we can spend more money in what is a stunning country. I highly recommend Sri Shiravi and Sri Lanka to all those reading this.
Beautiful location … loved sitting having breakfast facing the ocean. Staff lovely and helpful. It was very quiet when we were there so felt we were constantly being asked if we wanted a drink or breakfast or anything. I think it was a bit over priced for low season. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Felt safe in the tuk tuks they got for us …. But one of the tuk tuk drivers then text my daughter telling her he loved her…. So when they ask for your number to make sure they pick you up… beware! Turtle point is where you’re supposed to see turtles …. But visibility terrible and not many turtles guaranteed. It was a relaxing stay and we went to two good restaurants for dinner they recommended.
Beautiful setting, exceptional pool, great staff
Check in was seamless and quick! Love the concept of 4 villas with 3 rooms in each. This is a great boutique stay for couples and families. Staff knew every visitor and provided great recommendations, for activities and food, even though the breakfast and dinner we had at the hotel was the best food. Special shout out to Kenny at the front of desk; no request was too big for him. Located a short tuk tuk ride from mirissa beach and Welegama ( surfing) - we will be returning to this hotel on our next trip to Sri Lanka. 5 start hotel, 5 star service, 5 start food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
We couldn’t fault anything! The whole layout was beautiful, with the most amazing pool (longest in Sri Lanka I believe), views of the sea and turtles bobbing their heads up. The food, breakfast and drinks were very good. We had a lovely spacious bedroom. Kenny the manager was wonderful, so engaging and helpful throughout our stay and booked us a transfer to the airport. We absolutely loved Sri Sharavi and Mirissa and would return in a heartbeat! Thank you!
Location is incredible - right on the beach. Very close to Mirissa beach if you want some more excitement, and to fantastic restaurants (Zephyr in particular was great). Rooms fantastic, lovely food & cocktails in the hotel itself. Salt water pool was fab. Staff were generally lovely - organised an amazing snorkelling session for us where we got to swim with turtles.
The property, the huge pool, the food, the view. Total relaxation.
It was just a shame that you couldn’t swim in the sea here due to the strong current. it looked so inviting! You have to get a tuk tuk to Marissa for the nearest safe beach to swim.
The location was magnificent - the rooms Sri Lankan 5 star so a little More rustic but authentic
Absolutely Nothing to dislike
Amazing property. Exceptionally clean and the decor was beautiful. The location, right on the beach was stunning. We had a sea view room, which I would highly recommend when staying here. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The staff were cheerful and friendly.
The reception staff wouldn’t help us arrange a taxi for our journey back to the airport (unless we used their taxi service)
The pool is amazing, huge and great for laps, also with great view of sea. The staff at bar and generally across hotel are lovely and attentive, the rooms were nice and peaceful, mosquito net around bed which is helpful as the place is full of them. Nice big bathroom, food was good lots of options all day dining and decent breakfast. The seclusion is nice if this is something you are feeling like for a few days.
Perhaps the beach not being swimmable , and fact it’s far from much means if you do get restless and want to venture out, you can’t walk but there are tuk tuk Options. I found it strange couldn’t get any sort of food or drink after 10 or 10:30 etc, but these are small things as I enjoyed my stay just giving feedback. The tv is a bit pointless also with the netting in bed, you can’t really watch it as it’s quite far away. I also found the communal areas not ideal if wanting tea or coffee I prefer in my room not to have to go into a shared lounge area with other guests.
i liked the size of the room, we lived in suit, but we had nothing - no minibar, no cups, etc and my parents were in standard room which was on second floor, was simpler and smaller, but had all the above mentioned things i also liked that it was on the beach
i believe it is not worth its price the first day there was a frog in the room then i faced the following situation - i put my clothes in laundry bag and signed the price list; after 2 days the waiter came to me with a new paoer (with higher prices) and asked to resign, mentioning that there was a mistake in previous paper. some food in restaurant was spicy and in order to get to Mirissa you need to hire tuk tuk, the drive is 10 minutes long
The staff were amazing, the food was incredible- we could have ordered the seafood plates again and again. Normally you are left alone but the staff were so friendly. One of the owners and the front of house staff Came to personally speak to us and took a genuine interest in where we were from. The villas are fantastic and the ocean signature suite was very special.
Nothing.
The hotel staff were absolutely amazing as was the view, the food and the setting. Highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for 5 nights has part of our honeymoon, flying from the Maldives so our expectations were high after visiting an amazing place. All I have to say is WOW!!! this place was stunning, from the moment we arrived until we left we were treated like king & queen and my little girl a princess. We couldn’t thank all staff enough for everything they did to make our stay so enjoyable. We didn’t want to leave neither did my little girl especially leaving the dog kinky. If your thinking of staying here I would highly recommend, would defiantly want to come back!
Nothing!!
Overall this was one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Sri Lanka and the staff service really completed this experience. Our room was even nicer than we expected. The shower especially felt luxiours and the room was turned down twice a day which kept it spotless. The hotel was a great place for a romantic stay as it is secluded, with a quiet and beautiful beach. Food at the restaurant is served by the beachfront. We ate a couple of times in the evening and enjoyed it very much. Breakfast also was a treat, including good press coffee which can be hard to find. A special mention for the pool, which is much longer than typical and well maintained. The staff especially were wonderful and really made our stay feel special. Service was professional and very attentive yet the staff were still able to remain friendly. The hotel manger was helpful with any requests we had.
Almost perfect. The room could maybe benefit from a mini fridge or tea/coffee making facilities.
excellent service - great staff - relaxing and peaceful stay
Amazing room with ocean view, pool beachfront, very comfortable
power and water was cut in the middle of the night but I guess its a country issue
