Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich toll! Man könnte den ganzen Tag aus dem Fenster oder von der Veranda auf die Bucht schauen. Wechselnde Lichtverhältnisse, mal mehr , mal weniger Wellen. Phantastisch! WLAN, Heizung etc. haben sehr gut funktioniert. Es gibt viel Platz. Für Kaffeetrinker: es gibt eine French Press. Das Haus ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Ardara, Silver Strand, Kilcare.
Das Bett im Zimmer hinter dem Wohnzimmer fanden wir sehr unbequem. Matratze zu weich, Sprungrahmen nicht gut. Aber das ist Geschmacksache. Der Esstisch ( Klapptisch)ist sehr wackelig und man stößt sich ständig am Unterbau. Ein stabiler Tisch passt besser zu dieser tollen Unterkunft.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Schöne Lage mit Blick in die Bucht von Glencolmcille. Haus liegt schön und ist vernünftig ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut und bei unserer Ankunft war alles bestens vorbereitet.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Beautiful place. House overlooking the sea was a real treat. Lovely sitting out on the deck watching the waves crashing on the rocks. Neighbours were very friendly and gave us great ideas for our day trips. House had everything we needed.
Can't complain, house suited our needs perfectly.

The beach was straight across the road with the most beautiful waters , The quiet ! , The locals , loved the folk village . Really didn't want to leave to go home to the city . House was spotless and had everything you could need . Thankyou for letting us experience this .

Reviewed Apr 16, 2026This house is close to the beach and it was easy to find. The fire was lit when we arrived on a cold day, which was very welcoming. The facilities for home cooking are great and there are several good restaurants, shops, the folk village, and, of course, Oideas Gael nearby. It is a great place for walking, swimming and learning Irish. You won't be bored here, even on a cold, wet day. We had a lot of fun in this cosy holiday home. Go ndéanfaidh mhaith daoibh uilig i nGleann Cholm Cille !

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026We just returned from a beautiful family trip we could not fault this house it was perfect for us all very comfortable and cosy, the host kept us updated from the minute we had booked which was great the views from the property were beautiful really nice decking area also, there was a private beach a couple of minutes from the house only a walking distance the kids loved it, shops and restaurants were also only a walking distance away, it was our first time in Glencolumbkille and it did not disappoint a beautiful peaceful village with lovely people we will definitely be back.

Clean and comfortable but would not recommend if you're travelling with your dog, unfortunately the neighbours dog had us tormented, barking and attacking every time we were coming and going setting our rescue dog back months of training. We wanted to sit watching the dolphins from the decking but the neighbours dog prevented us from doing that as it was too aggressive.
