B&B La Forge de Diogne - luxury and cosy alpine lodge

What a wonderful surprise. We stayed at B&B La Forge for three nights in August. We were two familier with kids (9 people altogether) and we rented both of the "rooms" of the property. To tell you the truth, the bigger "room" would have been enough for both families with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and huge kitchen. The smaller "room" is downstairs (separate entrance). Both were excellent, clean, an roomy. The hostess was wonderful. She was nice, accommodating, informative, and we asked her if she had a fondue set and she very happily brought us two fondue pots, flames and even the fuel (gel candles) for the flames. Our only regret was not booking more nights at B&B La Forge!!!!

We really liked everything. Just for those who may not be used to European mountain villages - the access is a bit tight with a one car bridge right up the road and a pretty steep downhill to the accommodation. Actually, Google Maps pointed us to the wrong place at first (down the dirt road near the address) and we were a bit worried, but it is really fine to access and park at the accommodation.

La dame, Francine est charmante très accueillante et se met en 4 pour rendre votre séjour agréable ! Excellent petit déjeuner ! Chambre, salle de bains et salon cuisine tres très propre !

Nothing, it was perfect

An absolute gem above the valley. Francine is a wonderfully warm host who shared great tips on local attractions and pointed us to discounts we'd never have found ourselves. The house was immaculate, spacious and beautifully equipped, with breathtaking views. Peaceful, yet minutes from Crans-Montana. Highly recommended. Un véritable bijou surplombant la vallée. Francine est une hôtesse d'une grande gentillesse, qui nous a donné d'excellents conseils sur les attractions de la région et signalé des réductions que nous n'aurions jamais trouvées. La maison est impeccable, spacieuse et très bien équipée, avec une vue à couper le souffle. Endroit paisible, à quelques minutes de Crans-Montana. Vivement recommandé !

Amazing lodge, with a great view of the valley below. Rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. The whole lodge was very clean and in mint condition, with all the amenities you would need. Our host was super helpful and so kind. Definitely a hidden gem that is a short drive from Crans Montana. Would highly recommend!

Dieser Platz ist ganz besonders, eine Oase der Ruhe. Auch die Aussicht auf viele Viertausender ist fantastisch. Die Gastgeberin Francine hat hier mit viel Liebe und Gespür ein außergewöhnliches B&B geschaffen. Die Einrichtung ist komfortabel und geschmackvoll. Wir genossen auch die Möglichkeit, im Gemeinschaftsraum mit Küche zusammenzusein. Sogar ein Kaminfeuer wurde angeboten. Das Frühstück, abwechslungsreich und mit regionalen Zutaten liebevoll serviert lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ein Auto ist vorteilhaft aber durch die nahe Busverbindung auch nicht unbedingt erforderlich. Wanderwege gehen am Haus vorbei, aber das nahe Crans Montana hat ein umfangreiches Wander- und Freizeitangebot - und auch die zauberhaften Talorte, wie zB Sion, sind auch nicht weit entfernt.

Amazing stay, the host and family were very welcoming, gave us loads of tips and are genuinely helpful. The view is outstanding. The room in itself is very good: clean, spacious and has everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious: loads of fresh local produces: croissants, bread, homemade jam and more! I honestly think this is the best value for money in the area by far.

Francine, the owner, is very friendly. Her suggestions on ski tickets etc were very helpful.

The apartment was great. It is a nice space for a family of four with everything you need. Its open plan layout was great, and you are able to step right outside onto the yard, which has a nice view of the valley and the mountainside. The kitchen is of a high quality and had everything we needed. The apartment was well comfortably warm and is well insulated. Everything was clean and proper. We prefer this type of accommodation to a hotel room. It was a home away from home.

Very friendly and helpful host and value for money. Within 10mins drive to Crans Montana. Fully equipped kitchen so that u can easily cook breakfast or dinner.

Big house to fit a group of 10 near the cran Montana ski area. Hostess was very nice and accomodating, making sure that we have what we need . Clean place and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher so u can make yr own meals. They allow short rentals of 2 days which is hard to find as most rental had a minimal of 5/7 days

If I really have to be picky, the 3 bedroom has 1 toilet and 1 bathroom with shower so it takes a while for everyone to shower

The location is quite far from actual Crans Montana activities, and requires a bus to get there that runs only once an hour. It's definitely doable with public transit, but really would be much better with a car.

I stayed 5 nights with Francine who is a truely wonderful host. The room was clean and nice. After a hiking tour you could relaxe on the terrasse and enjoy the beautiful view. The breakfast is really amazing, fresh and with an excellent selection. Everything with great attention to detail. You can feel that she enjoys this. It was simply fantastic and I can recommend the B&B La Forge de Diogne without any compromises. Thank you very much Francine for making my stay so pleasant and your great great tips and ideas for excursions.

B&B La Forge de Diogne was an amazing surprise during our holidays in Switzerland. It would have been nice to have few more days to spend here! The apartment was perfect, the location super relaxing. Francine is a super host: nice, gentle and always available for suggestions and advices! We will come back for sure!
